2Variation of Thornthwaite Moisture Index in Hengduan Mountains, China显示文摘The Thornthwaite moisture index, an index of the supply of water(precipitation) in an area relative to the climatic demand for water(potential evapotranspiration), was used to examine the spatial and temporal variation of drought and to verify the influence of environmental factors on the drought in the Hengduan Mountains, China. Results indicate that the Thornthwaite moisture index in the Hengduan Mountains had been increasing since 1960 with a rate of 0.1938/yr. Annual Thornthwaite moisture index in Hengduan Mountains was between –97.47 and 67.43 and the spatial heterogeneity was obvious in different seasons. Thornthwaite moisture index was high in the north and low in the south, and the monsoon rainfall had a significant impact on its spatial distribution. The tendency rate of Thornthwaite moisture index variation varied in different seasons, and the increasing trends in spring were greater than that in summer and autumn. However, the Thornthwaite moisture index decreased in winter. Thornthwaite moisture index increased greatly in the north and there was a small growth in the south of Hengduan Mountains. The increase of precipitation and decrease of evaporation lead to the increase of Thornthwaite moisture index. Thornthwaite moisture index has strong correlation with vegetation coverage. It can be seen that the correlation between Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI) and Thornthwaite moisture index was positive in spring and summer, but negative in autumn and winter. Correlation between Thornthwaite moisture index and relative soil relative moisture content was positive in spring, summer and autumn, but negative in winter. The typical mountainous terrain affect the distribution of temperature, precipitation, wind speed and other meteorological factors in this region, and then affect the spatial distribution of Thornthwaite moisture index. The unique ridge-gorge terrain caused the continuity of water-heat distribution from the north to south, and the water-heat was stronger than that from the east to west part, and thus determined the spatial distribution of Thornthwaite moisture index. 3Broadband mid-infrared molecular spectroscopy based on passive coherent optical–optical modulated frequency combs显示文摘Mid-infrared dual-comb spectroscopy is of great interest owing to the strong spectroscopic features of trace gases,biological molecules,and solid matter with higher resolution,accuracy,and acquisition speed. However,the prerequisite of achieving high coherence of optical sources with the use of bulk sophisticated control systems prevents their widespread use in field applications. Here we generate a highly mutually coherent dual midinfrared comb spectrometer based on the optical–optical modulation of a continuous-wave (CW) interband or quantum cascade laser. Mutual coherence was passively achieved without post-data processes or active carrier envelope phase-locking processes. The center wavelength of the generated mid-infrared frequency combs can be flexibly tuned by adjusting the wavelength of the CW seeds. The parallel detection of multiple molecular species,including C_(2)H_(2),CH_(4),H_(2)CO,H_(2)S,COS,and H_(2)O,was achieved. 4Researching and implementation of reconfigurable Hash chip based on FPGA显示文摘The reconfigurable cryptographic chip is an integrated circuit that is designed by means of the method of reconfigurable architecture, and is used for encryption and decryption. Many different cipher algorithms can be flexibly implemented with the aid of a reconfigurable cryptographic chip and can be used in many fields. This article takes an example for the SHA-1/224/256 algorithms, and then designs a reconfigurable cryptographic chip based on the thought and method of the reconfigurable architecture. 5A nonlocal gradient concentration method for image smoothing显示文摘It is challenging to consistently smooth natural images, yet smoothing results determine the quality of a broad range of applications in computer vision. To achieve consistent smoothing, we propose a novel optimization model making use of the redundancy of natural images, by defining a nonlocal concentration regularization term on the gradient. This nonlocal constraint is carefully combined with a gradientsparsity constraint, allowing details throughout the whole image to be removed automatically in a datadriven manner. As variations in gradient between similar patches can be suppressed effectively, the new model has excellent edge preserving, detail removal,and visual consistency properties. Comparisons with state-of-the-art smoothing methods demonstrate the effectiveness of the new method. 6Doppler velocimeter based on dual-comb absorption spectroscopy显示文摘The determination of airflow parameters is essential to the research of critical information on environment monitoring,chemical kinetics,and aerodynamic and propulsion applications.During the past few decades,tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy has become a common and efficient tool for the flow velocity measurement based on the Doppler shift of the absorption line.Dual-comb absorption spectroscopy(DCAS),as a state-of-theart Fourier-transform broadband spectroscopic technique,not only can detect multiple trace molecules in parallel but also can extract Doppler shifts to derive the flow velocity through the analysis of dozens of molecular absorption lines simultaneously with high precision.Here,we report a proof-of-principle demonstration of the velocity measurements of acetylene at various flow velocities by means of a high-resolution and broadband DCAS.Mode-resolved Doppler-shifted rotational-vibrational lines in the P branch of acetylene molecules are obtained.A model for multiline Doppler frequency determination is investigated and experimentally verified.The flow velocity measurements with a measuring uncertainty down to the submeter per second over the range from 8.7 m/s to 44.8 m/s at an effective time resolution of 1 s and a measuring uncertainty of 1.97 m/s at 0.1 s are demonstrated.With broadband mid-infrared frequency combs covering atmospheric transmission windows,the open-path measurement for monitoring diffusion of the weak pollutant source would be realized.CHENGLIN GU XING ZOU ZHONG ZUO DAOWANG PENG YUANFENG DI YANG LIU DAPING LUO WENXUE LI 2020Photonics Research2020,8,12:2

8The characteristics of oasis urban expansion and drive mechanism analysis:a case study on Ganzhou District in Hexi Corridor,China显示文摘Ganzhou District is an oasis city in the Zhangye Municipality of Gansu Province,China.Based on multi-temporal TM and ETM satellite remote sensing data in 1985,1996,2000,and 2012,and by using corrected figures of land use status over the same periods,the spatial area of Ganzhou District since 1985 was extracted with statistical methods,and urban spatial expansion was measured by quantitative research methods.The characteristics of spatial expansion of Ganzhou District were analyzed by urban expansion rate,expansion intensity index,compactness,fractal dimension,and the city center shift method.The results showed that the built-up area of Ganzhou District increased by 3.46 times during 1985–2012.The expansion in 1985–1996 was slow,during 1996–2000 it was rapid,and during 2000–2012 it was at a high speed.This city mainly expanded to the northeast and northwest.Government decision making had a decisive influence on urban expansion.Initially the expansion was uniform,but later the local transportation,economy,resources,population,and national policies factors had an obvious influence on urban expansion.HuaLi Tong PeiJi Shi GuoFeng Zhu April Pearson QianGuo Li YuanFeng Liu HaiLong Liu 2015Research in Cold and Arid Regions2015,7,3:2
9ABNORMAL SHOOT 6 interacts with KATANIN 1 and SHADE AVOIDANCE 4 to promote cortical microtubule severing and ordering in Arabidopsis显示文摘Plant interphase cortical microtubules(cMTs)mediate anisotropic cell expansion in response to environmental and developmental cues.In Arabidopsis thaliana,KATANIN 1(KTN1),the p60 catalytic subunit of the conserved MT-severing enzyme katanin,is essential for cMT ordering and anisotropic cell expansion.However,the regulation of KTN1-mediated cMT severing and ordering remains unclear.In this work,we report that the Arabidopsis IQ67 DOMAIN(IQD)family gene ABNORMAL SHOOT 6(ABS6)encodes a MT-associated protein.Overexpression of ABS6 leads to elongated cotyledons,directional pavement cell expansion,and highly ordered transverse cMT arrays.Genetic suppressor analysis revealed that ABS6-mediated cMT ordering is dependent on KTN1 and SHADE AVOIDANCE 4(SAV4).Live imaging of cMT dynamics showed that both ABS6 and SAV4 function as positive regulators of cMT severing.Furthermore,ABS6 directly interacts with KTN1 and SAV4 and promotes their recruitment to the cMTs.Finally,analysis of loss-of-function mutant combinations showed that ABS6,SAV4,and KTN1 work together to ensure the robust ethylene response in the apical hook of dark-grown seedlings.Together,our findings establish ABS6 and SAV4 as positive regulators of cMT severing and ordering,and highlight the role of cMT dynamics in fine-tuning differential growth in plants.Yuanfeng Li Meng Deng Haofeng Liu Yan Li Yu Chen Min Jia Hui Xue Jingxia Shao Jun Zhao Yafei Qi Lijun An Fei Yu Xiayan Liu 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,4:2

15Glutamine mitigates murine burn sepsis by supporting macrophage M2 polarization through repressing the SIRT5-mediated desuccinylation of pyruvate dehydrogenase显示文摘Background:Alternative(M2)-activated macrophages drive the anti-inflammatory response against sepsis,a leading cause of death in patients suffering from burn injury.Macrophage M2 polarization is intrinsically linked with dominant oxidative phosphorylation(OXPHOS).Glutamine serves as a major anaplerotic source to fuel OXPHOS,but it remains unknown whether glutamine can modulate metabolic checkpoints in OXPHOS that favour M2 polarization.The study aims to explore whether glutamine essentially supports M2 polarization in IL-4-stimulated murine macrophages by sustaining the activity of PDH and whether glutamine augments macrophage M2 polarization and thus alleviates inflammation and organ injury in a murine burn sepsis model.Methods:To understand how glutamine promotes M2 activation in interleukin(IL-4)-treated murine macrophages,we detected glutamine-dependent M2 polarization and its relationship with the pyruvate dehydrogenase(PDH)complex by RT-PCR,flow cytometry and western blot.To explore how glutamine modulates PDH activity and thus supports M2 polarization,we compared the expression,phosphorylation and succinylation status of PDHA1 and then examined sirtuin SIRT5-dependent desuccinylation of PDHA1 and the effects of SIRT5 overexpression on M2 polarization by RT-PCR,flow cytometry and western blot.To determine whether glutamine or its metabolites affect M2 polarization,macrophages were cocultured with metabolic inhibitors,and then SIRT5 expression and M2 phenotype markers were examined by RT-PCR,flow cytometry and western blot.Finally,to confirm the in vivo effect of glutamine,we established a burn sepsis model by injecting Pseudomonas aeruginosa into burn wounds and observing whether glutamine alleviated proinflammatory injuries by RT-PCR,flow cytometry,western blot,immunofluorescent staining,hematoxylin-eosin staining and enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay.Results:We showed that consumption of glutamine supported M2 activation in IL-4-treated murine macrophages by upregulating the activity of PDH.Mechanistically,glutamine did not affect the expression or alter the phosphorylation status of PDHA1 but instead downregulated the expression of SIRT5 and repressed SIRT5-dependent desuccinylation on PDHA1,which in turn recovered PDH activity and supported M2 polarization.This effect was implemented by its secondary metaboliteα-ketoglutarate(αKG)rather than glutamine itself.Finally,we demonstrated that glutamine pro-moted macrophage M2 polarization in a murine burn sepsis model,thereby repressing excessive inflammation and alleviating organ injury in model mice.Conclusions:Glutamine mitigates murine burn sepsis by essentially supporting macrophage M2 polarization,with a mechanism involving the repression of the SIRT5-mediated desuccinylation of pyruvate dehydrogenase that replenishes OXPHOS and sustains M2 macrophages.Yuanfeng Zhu Xiaoli Chen Yongling Lu Lin Xia Shijun Fan Qianying Huang Xin Liu Xi Peng 2022Burns & Trauma2022,10,1:1
16Efficacy of integrative medicine in deficiency of both qi and yin in the rat model of type 2 diabetes显示文摘Objective:To establish a rat model of type 2 diabetes(T2DM)manifesting the Chinese medicine syndrome pattern of both qi and yin deficiency for evaluating the efficacy of a Chinese herbal formula(CHF),integrative medicine(IM),and pioglitazone(PIO)on T2DM indicators in the animal model.Methods:The rat model was induced by a high-fat diet(HFD)and streptozotocin(STZ,30 mg/kg).CHF(3.4 g/kg),PIO(2.7 mg/kg),and IM(3.4 g CHF+2.7 mg PIO)were administered to rats once daily for 14 days.Related laboratory parameters were observed.Results:Diabetic rats showed unsmooth fur,alopecia,reduced activity,huddling,somnolence,depression,pale or reddened tongue,damp/dark red tail,and high levels of water and food intake,urine volume,and stool weight,but weakened grip strength.Low levels of serum SOD,Nat-Kt-ATPase,cAMP/cGMP,and a high level of iNOS were observed.Hyperglycemia,hyperinsulinemia,insulin resistance,high levels of serum glucagon/IDE and pancreatic amylin,and low serum and pancreatic SS levels were evident as well.Conclusions:A rat model of T2DM with both qi and yin deficiency was successfully replicated.CHF appeared to be more efficacious than IM and PIO in the rat model of qi and yin deficiency pattern of T2DM,though IM and PIO were each found to have their merits and drawbacks in attenuating T2DM indicators in the rat model.Jing Zhao Jinna Liu Bangzhong Wang Yuanchao Yao Guangxia Zhang Biyuan Liu Yuanfeng Zhang Tian Xie Ming Xie 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2015,2,4:1
17A Preliminary Study on Silver Isotopic Composition in Polymetallic Ore Deposits in Eastern China显示文摘A preliminary survey of silver isotopic composition in four polymetallic ores in eastern China shows a larger variation inδ^(109)Ag from-0.014‰to+0.983‰,which is within the total ranges for the entire respective ore deposit types worldwide.The diversity of silver isotopic compositions in oredeposits reported here and previous studies seemed to preclude simple isotopic links to particular sources,but reflected the silver isotope fractionation in transport-and deposit-related processes instead.Theδ^(109)Ag values in supergene samples from the Qixiashan Pb-Zn-Ag polymetallic deposit are more positive,in consistent with the statistical δ^(109)Ag distribution from-0.4‰to+2.2‰in 36 pieces of supergene ore samples around the World,which reflects the diverse controls on silver isotope fractionation from the first-order thermodynamic effect,reduction-mediated reaction,remobilization of silver with surficial low-temperature weathering processes.The hypogene samples in Dazhuangzi orogenic Au-Ag ore deposit,have δ^(109)Ag values close to 0,which implies that equilibrium partitioning associated with metal sources at the high-temperature does not result in a resolvable difference in silver isotopic compositions.By contrast,the hypogene samples which are dominated by pyrite without visible silver minerals (i.e.,skarn iron ore deposit in Edongnan) have shown the largest variation range of δ^(109)Ag,followed by that from the porphyry copper ore in Zijinshan.It could be concluded that the surface adsorption and/or lattice substitution are important factors to control Ag isotope fractionation in oreforming processes,especially for skarn deposits with only pyrite.The perspective of silver isotope shows great potentials to understand the processes that lead to the concentrations of metals to economic levels and to constrain the physicochemical conditions during ore-mineralization in metallic ore-deposits.Ge Dong Hai-Zhen Wei Yuanfeng Zhu Xi Liu Qi Guo Wei Pu Yibo Lin Junlin Wang 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,1:1

19A microchip to analyze single crystal growth and size-controllability显示文摘A microfluidic device to control single crystallization on the micron scale has been developed. The salt solution was stored in the nano-volume gaps between the arrays of protrudent circular plots in the microchip. The mixed organic solvent was injected into the chip as the counter diffusion phase for crystallization forming. This device provides a liquid-liquid interface through which only one phase flows while the other stays at the fixed plot. Therefore, it is possible to control the position of crystallization on the fixed plot. We can control the size and the uniformity of single crystals from 5 to 50 μm in length by adjusting the relative factors, such as interface lifetime, breeds of the mix-organic solvents and injecting velocities. The longer interface lifetime and lower organic solvent injecting velocities can bring up larger and more asymmetric crystals, which nearly shows the same trend compared with the macroscopic crystallization. Finally, the effect of the surfactant on the crystallization in the microdevice was studied.
