| 2 | Behavioral interventions to eliminate fear responses显示文摘Fear memory underlies anxiety-related disorders, including posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD). PTSD is a fear-based disorder,characterized by difficulties in extinguishing the learned fear response and maintaining extinction. Currently, the first-line treatment for PTSD is exposure therapy, which forms an extinction memory to compete with the original fear memory. However,the extinguished fear often returns under numerous circumstances, suggesting that novel methods are needed to eliminate fear memory or facilitate extinction memory. This review discusses research that targeted extinction and reconsolidation to manipulate fear memory. Recent studies indicate that sleep is an active state that can regulate memory processes. We also discuss the influence of sleep on fear memory. For each manipulation, we briefly summarize the neural mechanisms that have been identified in human studies. | 3 | Preparation, microstructure and degradation performance of biomedical magnesium alloy fine wires显示文摘With the development of new biodegradable Mg alloy implant devices, the potential applications of biomedical Mg alloy fine wires are realized and explored gradually. In this study, we prepared three kinds of Mg alloy fine wires containing 4 wt% RE(Gd/Y/Nd) and 0.4 wt% Zn with the diameter less than 0.4 μm through casting, hot extruding and multi-pass cold drawing combined with intermediated annealing process. Their microstructures, mechanical and degradation properties were investigated. In comparison with the corresponding as-extruded alloy, the final fine wire has significantly refined grain with an average size of 3–4 μm, and meanwhile shows higher yield strength but lower ductility at room temperature. The degradation tests results and surface morphologies observations indicate that Mg–4Gd–0.4Zn and Mg–4Nd–0.4Zn fine wires have similar good corrosion resistance and the uniform corrosion behavior in SBF solution. | 8 | Exploit SSR in Cryptromeria fortunei and application in genetic diversity analysis显示文摘Cryptromeria fortunei is one of the main forest plantation species in the subtropical high altitude areas in China. In this paper we collected 49 C. fortunei germplasm resources and provides a study of the utility of freely available C. japonica EST resources for the development of markers necessary for genetic diversity analyses of C.fortunei. By screening 24,299 EST sequences from C.japonica with SSR Finder, we identified 2384 ESTs carrying 2783 SSR motifs. We successfully obtained 364(15 %) primers from 2419 putative SSR loci. Of the 80 candidate SSR markers tested, 70(87.5 %) yielded stable and clear PCR products. With those primers, the genetic diversity of 49 C. fortunei we collected was studied. The results showed that 18 primers yield polymorphism within these accessions. These 18 primers generated 48 scorable SSR loci and the average number of polymorphic SSR loci per primer was 2.7. The PIC value varied from 0.375 to0.8101, with the average of 0.4780. The Shannon index is0.5718, and the value of the observed number of alleles and effective number of alleles are 1.9167 and 1.7289,respectively. The genetic coefficient of these 49 accessions varied from 0.28 to 0.87. According to the genetic distances, a cluster tree was constructed. At genetic coefficient of 0.60, these 49 accessions can group into 3: group Ⅰ contains only FJ-laizhou accession, and group Ⅱ contains 2 accessions from FJ-layang, and the other one group contains mixed accessions. | 9 | Sex-specific and dose-response relationships of urinary cobalt and molybdenum levels with glucose levels and insulin resistance in U.S. adults显示文摘Growing studies have linked metal exposure to diabetes risk.However,these studies had inconsistent results.We used a multiple linear regression model to investigate the sexspecific and dose-response associations between urinary metals(cobalt(Co)and molybdenum(Mo))and diabetes-related indicators(fasting plasma glucose(FPG),hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR),and insulin)in a cross-sectional study based on the United States National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.The urinary metal concentrations of 1423 eligible individuals were stratified on the basis of the quartile distribution.Our results showed that the urinary Co level in males at the fourth quartile(Q4)was strongly correlated with increased FPG(β=0.61,95%CI:0.17–1.04),HbA1c(β=0.31,95%CI:0.09–0.54),insulin(β=8.18,95%CI:2.84–13.52),and HOMA–IR(β=3.42,95%CI:1.40–5.44)when compared with first quartile(Q1).High urinary Mo levels(Q4 vs.Q1)were associated with elevated FPG(β=0.46,95%CI:0.17–0.75)and HbA1c(β=0.27,95%CI:0.11–0.42)in the overall population.Positive linear dose-response associations were observed between urinary Co and insulin(Pnonlinear=0.513)and HOMA–IR(Pnonlinear=0.736)in males,as well as a positive linear dose-response relationship between urinary Mo and FPG(Pnonlinear=0.826)and HbA1c(Pnonlinear=0.376)in the overall population.Significant sex-specific and dose-response relationships were observed between urinary metals(Co and Mo)and diabetes-related indicators,and the potential mechanisms should be further investigated. | Jingli Yang Yongbin Lu Yana Bai Zhiyuan Cheng | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2: | 1 |
| 10 | Population structure and spatial pattern analysis of Quercus aquifolioides on Sejila Mountain,Tibet,China显示文摘Understanding population structure provides basic ecological data related to species and ecosystems.Our objective was to understand the mechanisms involved in the maintenance of Quercus aquifolioides populations.Using a 1 ha permanent sample plot data for Q.aquifolioides on Sejila Mountain,Tibet Autonomous Region(Tibet),China,we analyzed the population structure of Q.aquifolioides by combining data for diameter class,static life table and survival curve.Simultaneously,the spatial distribution of Q.aquifolioides was studied using Ripley's L Function in point pattern analysis.The results showed:(1) Individuals in Q.aquifolioides populations were mainly aggregated in the youngest age classes,that accounted for94.3% of the individuals; the older age classes had much smaller populations.Although the youngest age classes(ClassesⅠ and Ⅱ) had fewer individuals than Class Ⅲ,the total number of individuals in classes Ⅰ and Ⅱ was also greater than in classes Ⅳ to Ⅸ.In terms of tree height,fewsaplings,more medium-sized saplings and few large-sized trees were found.The diameter class structure of Q.aquifolioides populations formed an atypical ‘pyramid'type; the population was expanding,but growth was limited,tending toward a stable population.(2) Mortality of Q.aquifolioides increased continuously with age; life expectancy decreased over time,and the survivorship curve was close to a Deevey I curve.(3) The spatial distribution pattern of Q.aquifolioides varied widely across different developmental stages.Saplings and medium-sized tree showed aggregated distributions at the scales of 0–33 m and 0–29 m,respectively.The aggregation intensities of saplings and medium-sized trees at small scales were significantly stronger than that of large-sized trees.However,large-sized trees showed a random distribution at most scales.(4) No correlation was observed among saplings,medium-and large-sized trees at small scales,while a significant and negative association was observed as the scale increased.Strong competition was found among saplings,medium-and large-sized trees,while no significant association was observed between medium-and largesized trees at all scales.Biotic interactions and local ecological characteristics influenced the spatial distribution pattern of Q.aquifolioides populations most strongly. | Zhiqiang Shen Jie Lu Min Hua Xiaoqin Tang Xingle Qu Jingli Xue Jiangping Fang | 2018 | Journal of Forestry Research2018,29,2: | 1 |

| 15 | PuHox52 promotes coordinated uptake of nitrate,phosphate, and iron under nitrogen deficiency in Populus ussuriensis显示文摘It is of great importance to better understand how trees regulate nitrogen(N) uptake under N deficiency conditions which severely challenge afforestation practices, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms have not been well elucidated. Here,we functionally characterized PuHox52, a Populus ussuriensis HD-ZIP transcription factor, whose overexpression greatly enhanced nutrient uptake and plant growth under N deficiency. We first conducted an RNA sequencing experiment to obtain root transcriptome using PuHox52-overexpression lines of P. ussuriensis under low N treatment. We then performed multiple genetic and phenotypic analyses to identify key target genes of PuHox52 and validated how they acted against N deficiency under PuHox52 regulation.PuHox52 was specifically induced in roots by N deficiency, and overexpression of PuHox52promoted N uptake, plant growth, and root development. We demonstrated that several nitrate-responsive genes(PuNRT1.1, PuNRT2.4,PuCLC-b, PuNIA2, PuNIR1, and PuNLP1),phosphate-responsive genes(PuPHL1A and PuPHL1B), and an iron transporter gene(PuIRT1) were substantiated to be direct targets of PuHox52. Among them, PuNRT1.1, PuPHL1A/B, and PuIRT1 were upregulated to relatively higher levels during PuHox52-mediated responses against N deficiency in PuHox52-overexpression lines compared to WT. | 16 | Noninherited Factors in Fetal Congenital Heart Diseases Based on Bayesian Network:A Large Multicenter Study显示文摘Background:Current studies have confirmed that fetal congenital heart diseases(CHDs)are caused by various factors.However,the quantitative risk of CHD is not clear given the combined effects of multiple factors.Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to detect associated factors of fetal CHD using a Bayesian network in a large sample and quantitatively analyze relative risk ratios(RRs).Methods:Pregnant women who underwent fetal echocardiography(N=16,086 including 3,312 with CHD fetuses)were analyzed.Twenty-six maternal and fetal factors were obtained.A Bayesian network is constructed based on all variables through structural learning and parameter learning methods to find the environmental factors that directly and indirectly associated with outcome,and the probability of fetal CHD in the two groups is predicted through a junction tree reasoning algorithm,so as to obtain RR for fetal CHD under different exposure factor combinations.Taking into account the effect of gestational week on the accuracy of model prediction,we conducted sensitivity analysis on gestational week groups.Results:The single-factor analysis showed that the RRs for the numbers of births,spontaneous abortions,and parental smoking were 1.50,1.38,and 1.11(P<0.001),respectively.The risk gradually increased with the synergistic effect of ranging from one to more environmental factors above.The risk was higher among subjects with five synergistic factors,including the number of births,upper respiratory tract infection during early pregnancy,anemia,and mental stress as well as a history of spontaneous abortions or parental smoking,than in those with less than 5 factors(RR=2.62 or 2.28,P<0.001).This result was consistent across the participants grouped by GWs.Conclusion:We identified six factors that were directly associated with fetal CHD.A higher number of these factors led to a higher risk of CHD.These findings suggest that it is important to strengthen healthcare and prenatal counseling for women with these factors. | Yanping Ruan Xiangyu Liu Haogang Zhu Yijie Lu Xiaowei Liu Jiancheng Han Lin Sun Ye Zhang Xiaoyan Gu Ying Zhao Lei Li Suzhen Ran Jingli Chen Qiong Yu Yan Xu Hongmei Xia Yihua He | 2021 | Congenital Heart Disease2021,16,6: | 0 |

| 20 | IL-33 Downregulates Hepatic Carboxylesterase 1 in Acute Liver Injury via Macrophage-derived Exosomal miR-27b-3p显示文摘Background and Aims:We previously reported that carboxylesterase 1(CES1)expression was suppressed following liver injury.The study aimed to explore the role of interleukin(IL)-33 in liver injury and examine the mechanism by which IL-33 regulates CES1.Methods:IL-33 and CES1 levels were determined in the livers of patients and lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-,acetaminophen(APAP)-treated mice.We constructed IL-33 and ST2 knockout(KO)mice.ST2-enriched immune cells in livers were screened to identify the responsible cells.Macrophage-derived exosome(MDE)activity was tested by adding exosome inhibitors.Micro-RNAs(miRs)were extracted from control and IL-33-stimulated MDEs(IL-33-MDEs)and subjected miR sequencing(miR-Seq).Candidate miR was tested in vitro and in vivo and its binding of a target gene was assessed by luciferase reporter assays.Lentivirus-vector cellular transfection and transcript silencing were used to examine pathways mediating IL-33 suppression of miR-27b-3p.Results:Patient liver IL-33 and CES1 expression levels were inversely correlated.CES1 downregulation in liver injury was rescued in both IL-33–deficient and ST2 KO mice.Macrophages were shown to be responsible for IL-33 effects.IL-33-MDEs reduced CES1 levels in hepatocytes.Exosomal miR-Seq and qRT-PCR demonstrated increased miR-27b-3p levels in IL-33-MDEs;miR-27b-3p was implicated in Nrf2 targeting.IL-33 inhibition of miR-27b-3p was found to be GATA3-dependent.Conclusions:IL-33–ST2–GATA3 pathway signaling increases miR-27b-3p content in MDEs,which upon being internalized by hepatocytes reduce CES1 expression by inhibiting Nrf2.The elucidation of this mechanism in this study contributes to a better understanding of CES1 dysregulation in liver injury. | Ping Gao Min Li Jingli Lu Daochun Xiang Ximin Wang Yanjiao Xu Yue Zu Xinlei Guan Guodong Li Chengliang Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,5: | 0 |
