The calculation methods of the proposed estimators are given on the basis of the known lars algorithm. Under some regular conditions, the authors demonstrate the asymptotic properties of the proposed estimators and the oracle properties of adaptive LASSO(aL ASSO) variable selection. | 2 | Association between HER2 status and response to neoadjuvant anthracycline followed by paclitaxel plus carboplatin chemotherapy without trastuzumab in breast cancer显示文摘Background:We recently showed HER2-positive breast cancers are less likely to respond to neoadjuvant anthracycline chemotherapy.Here,we investigated whether HER2-positive breast cancers responded to sequential neoadjuvant anthracycline followed by paclitaxel plus carboplatin regimen in the absence of trastuzumab.Methods:Women(n=372) with operable primary breast cancer initially received two cycles of neoadjuvant anthracyclines,the clinical tumor response was assessed,then patients were received four cycles of paclitaxel plus carboplatin regimen.All the patients did not received trastuzumab treatment in the neoadjuvant setting.HER2 status was determined by immunohistochemistry and/or by fluorescence in situ hybridization in corebiopsy breast cancer tissue obtained before the neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Results:Eighteen percent(67/372) of patients achieved a pathologic complete response(p CR) in their breast.HER2-positive tumors had a significant higher p CR rate than HER2-negative tumors(33.0% versus 13.5%,P<0.001) in this cohort of 372 patients,and positive HER2 status remained an independent favorable predictor of p CR in a multivariate analysis [odds ratio(OR),2.26;95% confidence interval(CI),1.18 to 4.36,P=0.015].Furthermore,patients who responded to initial anthracycline regimens were more likely to respond to paclitaxel plus carboplatin than patients who did not(p CR,27.2% versus 14.6%,P=0.005).Patients with HER2-positive tumors exhibited a significant higher p CR rate than did patients with HER2-negative tumors in both anthracycline response group(40.5% versus 20.0%,P=0.025) and anthracycline non-response group(28.3% versus 11.3%,P=0.002).Conclusions:Under the circumstance of no trastuzumab treatment,women with HER2-positive cancers derive a large benefit from paclitaxel-carboplatin-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy. | Lu Yao Juan Zhang Yiqiang Liu Tao Ouyang Jinfeng Li Tianfeng Wang Zhaoqing Fan Tie Fan Benyao Lin Yuntao Xie | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,6: | 3 |
| 3 | Pseudo-capacitance of ruthenium oxide/carbon black composites for electrochemical capacitors显示文摘Hydrous ruthenium oxide was formed by a new process. The precursor was obtained by mixing the aqueous solutions of RuCl3·xH2O and NaHCO3. The addition of NaHCO3 led to the formation of an oxide with extremely fine RuO2 particles forming a porous network structure in the oxide electrode. Polyethylene glycol was added as a controller to partly inhibit the sol-gel reaction. The rate capacitance of 530 F·g-1 was measured for the powder formed at an optimal annealing temperature of 210°C. Several details concerning this new material, including crystal structure, particle size as a function of temperature, and electrochemical properties, were also reported. In addition, the rate capacitance of the composite electrode reached 800 F·g-1 after carbon black was added. By using the modified electrode of a RuO2/carbon black composite electrode, the electrochemical capacitor exhibits high energy density and stable power characteristics. | 14 | Field and laboratory experimental studies on hard-rock tunnel excavation based on disc cutter coupled with high-pressure waterjet显示文摘The tunnel boring machine(TBM)is typically used in hard-rock tunnel excavation.Owing to the unsatisfactory adaptability of TBM to the surrounding rock,when crossing high-strength and high-wear strata,the TBM can easily cause defects,such as abnormal wear on cutters and overload damage to bearings,thus affecting the construction efficiency and cost.Therefore,high-pressure waterjet technology should be applied to assist in rock breaking for efficient TBM tunneling.In this study,the effects of water pressure,nozzle diameter,and nozzle speed on cutting are investigated via laboratory experiments of cutting hard rock using high-pressure waterjets.The penetration performance of the TBM under different water pressures is investigated via a field industrial penetration test.The results show that high-pressure waterjets are highly efficient for rock breaking and are suitable for industrial applications,as they can accommodate the advancing speed of the TBM and achieve high-efficiency rock breaking.However,during the operation of high-pressure waterjets,the ambient temperature and waterjet temperature in the tunnel increase significantly,which weakens the cooling effect of the cutterhead and decreases the construction efficiency of the TBM.Therefore,temperature control and cooling measures for high-pressure waterjets during their long-term operation must be identified.This study provides a useful reference for the design and construction of high-pressure water-jet-assisted cutterheads for breaking road headers. | He FEI Yiqiang LU Jinliang ZHANG Xingchen LUO Yimin XIA | 2023 | Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2023,17,9: | 0 |
| 15 | Analysis of rare earth elements in high purity europium oxide显示文摘Five trace impurities as Ce, Pr, Sm, Gd, and Dy are separated from europium oxide with P507 extraction resin byextraction chromatography. When determined simultaneously by ICP-AES, the impurities show their recovery ratios be-tween 88% and 105%. A lower than 10% relative standard deviation of these elements is obtained when their contents ineuropium oxide are 5 u.g/g. The satisfactory results indicate this simple method is sensitive and accurate. | 16 | Continuous,efficient and safe synthesis of 1-oxa-2-azaspiro[2.5]octane in a microreaction system显示文摘1-Oxa-2-azaspiro[2.5]octane,as one of N-H oxaziridines,is a selective electrophilic aminating agent for N-,S-,C-,and O-nucleophiles.It has the features of stereoselectivity and the absence of formation of strongly acidic or basic byproducts,leading to considerable interest in the development of organic synthetic methods.Currently,the economically feasible route of production of 1-oxa-2-azaspiro[2.5]octane is the reaction of cyclohexanone with ammonia and sodium hypochlorite.However,due to strong exothermic reactions,massive gas release and heterogeneous reaction,the controllability,efficiency and safety of the reaction are in great difficulty using batch technology.In this paper,a microreaction system containing predispersion,reaction and phase separation was introduced into the preparation of 1-oxa-2-azaspiro[2.5]octane.The research results showed that precise control of the process including droplet dispersion,temperature control,reaction time control and fast continuous phase separation,was the key to process intensification.Under optimal conditions,the concentration of 1-oxa-2-azaspiro[2.5]octane in product obtained by microreaciton system(~2.0 mol·L^(-1))was much higher than that obtained by batch technology(0.2-0.4 mol·L^(-1)),which demonstrated that the continuous-flow synthesis would be a more efficient substitute for batch synthesis.Meanwhile,the results of the derivation experiments also showed that the aminating agent solution with higher concentration was more advantageous in the applications. | Jinpei Huang Xingwei Lu Xuejing Zhang Yiqiang Jin Yifeng Zhou | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,61,9: | 0 |
| 17 | Transmission of Carbapenem Resistance Between Human and Animal NDM-Positive Escherichia coli Strains显示文摘Although carbapenem use is prohibited in animals in China,carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli(CREC),especially New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase(NDM)-producing strains,are widely prevalent in foodproducing animals.At present,the impact of livestock-associated CREC strains on human populations at the national level is unknown.Here,we conduct a retrospective cross-sectional study to investigate the prevalence of CREC from clinical settings across 22 Chinese provinces or municipalities and analyze anthropogenic factors associated with their presence.We also ascertain the blaNDMand blaKPCabundance among pig and chicken farms and present a detailed genomic framework for CREC of animal and human origin.Overall,631/29799(2.1%)clinical Escherichia coli(E.coli)isolates were identified as CREC.Multivariable analysis revealed that being male,an age below 1,an age between 13 and 18,provinces with greater chicken production,and provinces with higher pig production were associated with higher odds of CREC infection.In general,73.8%(n=45/61)of pig farms and 62.2%(n=28/45)of chicken farms had a blaNDMabundance of 1×10^(-5)to 1×10^(-3)and 1×10^(-3)to 1×10^(-2),respectively.Among all the Chinese NDM-positive E.coli(n=463)available at the National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI),the genomic analysis revealed that blaNDM-5and Inc X3 were the predominant carbapenemase gene-plasmid combination,while a highly homogeneous relationship between NDM-positive isolates from humans and animals was demonstrated at the plasmid and core genome levels.All the findings suggest frequent CREC transmission between humans and animals,indicating that further discussions on the use of antibiotics in animals and humans are needed,both in China and across the globe. | Yingbo Shen Fupin Hu Yongqiang Wang Dandan Yin Lu Yang Yiqiang Chen Chunyan Xu Jiyun Li Junyao Jiang Xueyang Wang Yulin Fu Dongyan Shao Dejun Liu Tengfei Ma Chang Cai Zhangqi Shen Shaolin Wang Juan Li Rong Zhang Yuebin Ke Congming Wu Jianzhong Shen Timothy R.Walsh Yang Wang | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,8: | 0 |
