| 1 | Inflammatory response and insulin signaling alteration induced by PCB77显示文摘A specific mechanism whereby inflammation may contribute to cardiovascular diseases(CVD),insulin resistance(IR) and type II diabetes is the induction of endothelial dysfunction placing the vascular endothelium in a key unifying position for the shared pathogenesis of these diseases.However,the mechanisms by which PCBs induce endothelial cell dysfunction are not clearly understood.In the present study,we used human umbilical vascular endothelial cells(HUVEC) as model,and inflammatory response and insulin signaling alteration induced by PCBs were examined.Results showed that PCB77 induced the expression of proinflammatory cytokines including IL-6 and TNFα and induced U937 adhesion to HUVEC cells consistent with increased NFκB transcription activity.On the other hand,PCB77 blocked insulin-activated Akt signaling pathway,which was restored by pretreatment with TNFα neutralization antibody.In conclusion,PCB77 showed the potential to induce the expression of proinflammatory cytokines including IL-6,which has been shown to be powerful independent risk predictor of CVD.And PCB77 was observed to alter insulin-activated Akt signaling by TNFα secretion for the first time. | Jing Wang Xiaowen Lv Yuguo Du | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,7: | 8 |
| 2 | Characterization of aircraft emissions and air quality impacts of an international airport显示文摘Beijing Capital International Airport(ZBAA) is the world's second busiest airport. In this study, the emissions of air pollutants from aircraft and other sources at ZBAA in 2015 were estimated using an improved method, which considered the mixing layer height calculated based on aircraft meteorological data relay(AMDAR), instead of using the height(915 m)recommended by ICAO. The yearly emissions of NO_x, CO, VOCs, SO_2, and PM_(2.5) at the airport were 8.76 × 10~3, 4.43 × 10~3, 5.43 × 10~2, 4.80 × 10~2, and 1.49 × 10~2 ton/year, respectively. The spatial–temporal distribution of aircraft emissions was systematically analyzed to understand the emission characteristics of aircraft. The results indicated that NOxwas mainly emitted during the take-off and climb phases, accounting for 20.5% and 55.5% of the total emissions. CO and HC were mainly emitted during the taxi phase, accounting for 91.6%and 92.2% of the total emissions. Because the mixing layer height was high in summer, the emissions of aircraft were at the highest level throughout the year. Based on the detailed emissions inventory, four seasons simulation using WRF-CMAQ model was performed over the domain surrounding the airport. The results indicated that the contribution to PM_(2.5) was relatively high in winter; the average impact was about 1.15 μg/m^3 within a radius of1 km around the airport. | 3 | A consensus linkage map of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) to compare the distribution and variation of QTLs associated with growth traits显示文摘The ability to detect and identify quantitative trait loci (QTLs) in a single population is often limited. Analyzing multiple populations in QTL analysis improves the power of detecting QTLs and provides a better understanding of their functional allelic variation and distribution. In this study, a consensus map of the common carp was constructed, based on four populations, to compare the distribution and variation of QTLs. The consensus map spans 2371.6 cM across the 42 linkage groups and comprises 257 microsatellites and 421 SNPs, with a mean marker interval of 3.7 cM/marker. Sixty-seven QTLs affecting four growth traits from the four populations were mapped to the consensus map. Only one QTL was common to three populations, and nine QTLs were detected in two populations. However, no QTL was common to all four populations. The results of the QTL comparison suggest that the QTLs are responsible for the phenotypic variability observed for these traits in a broad array of common carp germplasms. | 4 | Fractal-based weak target detection within sea clutter显示文摘The target on the sea surface is complex and difficult to detect due to the interference of backscattered returns from the sea surface illuminated by the radar pulse. Detrended fluctuation analysis(DFA) has been used successfully to extract the time-domain Hurst exponent of sea-clutter series. Since the frequency of the sea clutter mainly concentrates around Doppler center so that we consider to extract frequency-domain fractal characterization and then detect a weak target within sea clutter by using the difference of frequency-domain fractal characterization. The generalized detrended fluctuation analysis(GDFA) is more flexible than traditional DFA owing to its smoothing action for the clutters. In this paper, we apply the GDFA to evaluate the generalized Hurst exponent of sea-clutter series in the frequency domain. The difference of generalized Hurst exponents between different sea-clutter range bins would be used to determine whether the target exists. | 7 | Troglitazone Induced Apoptosis via PPARγ Activated POX-induced ROS Formation in HT29 Cells显示文摘Objective In order to investigate the potential mechanisms in troglitazone-induced apoptosis in HT29 cells,the effects of PPARγ and POX-induced ROS were explored.Methods [3-(4,5)-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay,Annexin V and PI staining using FACS,plasmid transfection,ROS formation detected by DCFH staining,RNA interference,RT-PCR & RT-QPCR,and Western blotting analyses were employed to investigate the apoptotic effect of troglitazone and the potential role of PPARγ pathway and POX-induced ROS formation in HT29 cells.Results Troglitazone was found to inhibit the growth of HT29 cells by induction of apoptosis.During this process,mitochondria related pathways including ROS formation,POX expression and cytochrome c release increased,which were inhibited by pretreatment with GW9662,a specific antagonist of PPARγ.These results illustrated that POX upregulation and ROS formation in apoptosis induced by troglitazone was modulated in PPARγ-dependent pattern.Furthermore,the inhibition of ROS and apoptosis after POX siRNA used in troglitazone-treated HT29 cells indicated that POX be essential in the ROS formation and PPARγ-dependent apoptosis induced by troglitazone.Conclusion The findings from this study showed that troglitazone-induced apoptosis was mediated by POX-induced ROS formation,at least partly,via PPARγ activation. | WANG Jing LV XiaoWen SHI JiePing HU XiaoSong DU YuGuo | 2011 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,4: | 1 |

| 10 | Quantitative trait loci for morphometric traits in multiple families of common carp(Cyprinus carpio)显示文摘Quantitative trait locus(QTL) mapping is frequently used to understand the genetic architecture of quantitative traits.Herein,we performed a genome scanfor QTL affecting the morphometric characters in eight full-sib families containing 522 individuals using different statistical methods(Sib-pair and half-sib model).A total of 194 QTLs were detected in 25 different regions on 10 linkage groups(LGs).Among them,37 QTLs on five LGs(eight,13,24,40 and 45) were significant(5%genome-wide level),while the remaining 40(1%chromosome-wide level) and 117(5%chromosome-wide level) indicated suggestive effect on those traits.Heritabilities for most morphometric traits were moderate to high,ranging from 0.21 to 0.66,with generally strong phenotypic and genetic correlations between the traits.A large number of QTLs for morphometric traits were co-located,consistent with their high correlations,and may reflect pleiotropic effect on the same genes.Biological pathways were mapped for possible candidate genes on QTL regions.One significantly enriched pathway was identified onLG45,which had a P-value of 0.04 and corresponded to the 'regulation of actin cytoskeleton pathway'.The results are expected to be useful in marker-assisted selection(MAS) and provide valuable information for the study of gene pathway for morphometric and growth traits of the common carp. | Xianhu Zheng Youyi Kuang Weihua Lv Dingchen Cao Zhipeng Sun Wu Jin Xiaowen Sun | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,3: | 1 |

| 18 | Porous Metal Nanocrystal Catalysts:Can Crystalline Porosity Enable Catalytic Selectivity?显示文摘Catalytic selectivity is a central issue in the efficiency of catalytic processes.A large number of strategies have been developed to improve the catalytic selectivity of metal catalysts at the atomic and molecular levels,for instance,alloying secondary elements,fabricating metal-support interactions,and introducing surface ligands.Recently,macro/mesoscopic pores and cavities have been demonstrated as an alternative route to promote catalytic selectivity of metal nanocrystal catalysts.The promotion effects of continuous crystalline porosity include(1)more catalytically active sites that accelerate the favorable catalytic routes to targeted products,(2)confined spaces that increase the retention time of key intermediates and remarkably promote the selective catalysis toward desired products,and(3)an optimized electronic structure and coordination environment of active metal sites that tailor the reaction trends of selective catalysis toward desired products.In this minireview,we summarize recent advances in porosity-enabled catalytic selectivity of metal nanocrystal catalysts with focused discussions of CO_(2) reduction electrocatalysis and selective hydrogenation reactions.The mechanisms that allow for the continuous porosity that enables the catalytic selectivity of metal nanocrystal catalysts are discussed in detail.We end this minireview by proposing current challenges and offering future opportunities in this research field. | Xiaowen Min Hao Lv Yusuke Yamauchi Ben Liu | 2022 | CCS Chemistry2022,4,6: | 0 |
