Water quality of reclaimed water from treated urban wastewater in Chaobai River Basin,North China显示文摘The utilization of reclaimed water could be an efficient tool to alleviate water scarcity, especially for dry river augmentation. However,it is crucial to monitor water quality to ensure safety to human health and to avoid negative effects on the environment.Reclaimed water samples were collected bimonthly from May to November in 2010 in Chaobai River, and the physiochemical parameters were determined. The main results are as follows:The parameters exceeding the threshold value of the water guidelines are mainly nutrition related to nitrogen and phosphorus, which are known to increase the risk of eutrophication in surface waters.Additionally, nitrite and nitrate can be detrimental to human health. The majority of the parameters have a peaking concentration in May,whereas others either show significant temporal variation over the entire period or remain relatively constant in all four months.Correlation analysis shows that some parameters(pH,T and B) have no significant correlation with others, whereas significant positive correlation was found for Sr with EC and TDS,for CI with TDS,for Si02 with TP and for NO3-N with TN and a significant negative correlation between SO4 and Ba.According to principal component analysis,60.108%of the total data is represented by dominant solutes, and the second principal component with a percentage of 31.876 comprises parameters related to nitrogen.Subsequent cluster analysis of parameters identified four groups, which represent different compositions, and samples in May differ from others. | Yilei Yu Xianfang Song Yinghua Zhang Fandong Zheng Licai Liu | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2014,12,2: | 1
Genetic Architecture and Functional Implications of the CSF‑Contacting Nucleus显示文摘We previously identified a unique nucleus, the cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)-contacting nucleus. This study aims to understand its gene architecture and preliminarily suggest its functions. The results showed that there were about 19,666 genes in this nucleus,of which 913 were distinct from the dorsal raphe nucleus(non-CSF contacting). The top 40 highly-expressed genes are mainly related to energy metabolism, protein synthesis, transport, secretion, and hydrolysis. The main neurotransmitter is 5-HT.The receptors of 5-HT and GABA are abundant. The channels for Cl–,Na+,K+,and Ca2+are routinely expressed. The signaling molecules associated with the CaMK,JAK,and MAPK pathways were identified accurately. In particular, the channels of transient receptor potential associated with nociceptors and the solute carrier superfamily members associated with cell membrane transport were significantly expressed. The relationship between the main genes of the nucleus and life activities is preliminarily verified. | Siyuan Song Yumin Yuan Lingling Xu Jun Jiang Ying Li Yao Yan Qing Li Fang Zhou Junli Cao Licai Zhang | 2023 | Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,11: | 1
Effects of different machine transplanting methods on the physiological and yield characteristics of late rice in China显示文摘To address problems caused by rice machine transplanting such as injury to the seedlings and recovery period that extend growth period, this study explored the effects of different machine transplanting methods on the physiological and yield characteristics of late rice in China, and determine the appropriate machine transplanting method for late rice, which was expected to provide a basis for high-yield and high-efficient cultivation of machine-transplanted late rice.Hybrid indica rice Taiyou 398 and conventional indica rice Jing Gangruanzhan were selected as the research objects, and large-pot carpet seedling machine transplanting(M1),conventional pot carpet seedling machine transplanting(M2)and ordinary carpet seedling machine transplanting(M3)were adopted respectively to analyze their effects on seedling quality, population physiological characteristics, yield and its components and economic benefits of late rice. The results showed that compared with M2 and M3,M1 achieved higher seedling quality, showing significant advantages in the early stage despite average root entwining force that met the requirement of machine transplanting. The seedlings transplanted using M1 had shorter recovery period after mechanical transplanting, with earlier tillering, earlier peak seedling, and slower declining of stems and tillers in the late stage;the peak seedling number was not high, but the effective tiller number and earbearing tiller percentage were significantly higher than those achieved by the other two machine transplanting methods.Also,M1 achieved stronger photosynthetic capacity of flag leaves before HS,with more photosynthetic products in stems and leaves transported to panicles and more efficiently after HS.Compared with seedlings transplanted using M2 and M3,the recovery period of those transplanted using M1 was shortened by 3 and 5 d,the heading stage(HS),and maturity stage(MS)were advanced, which effectively reduced the risk and impact of“cold dew wind”on machine-transplanted late rice.M1 had significant yield increase advantage and economic benefit, with better grain maturity, and“larger panicles, more panicles, more and fuller grains”.M1 achieved an average yield increase of 10.31%-11.10%,20.67%-25.10%in 2 years, and an average income increase of 18.65%-131.06%and 62.85%-323.78%,respectively.Therefore,vigorously developing M1 is the key to the high-yield and high-efficient cultivation of machine-transplanted late rice in China. | Xuan Jia Yonglei Li Jiannong Song Cailing Liu Xiaolin Cao Licai Chen Lipengcheng Wan Xiang Ma | 2023 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,6: | 0

Mixed Siliciclastic-Carbonate Sediments in China: Recent Advances and Prospects显示文摘Until 1980s,mixed siliciclastic-carbonate sediments(MSCSs)had been thought as odd exception and not important. However,MSCSs are quite common in the modern and the ancient times and can be important | SONG Licai GUO Yingchun ZHANG Kaixun ZHANG Linyan | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,S1: | 0
Roller-coaster atmospheric-terrestrial-oceanic-climatic system during Ordovician-Silurian transition:Consequences of large igneous provinces显示文摘The Ordovician-Silurian transition(OST)hosted profound and frequent changes in the atmospheric-terres trial-oceanic-climatic system(ATOCS).Previous studies have found contrasting stages for such changes, primarily based on hiatus-interrupted sections. However, the dominant driving factors and mechanisms reconciling such frequent changes remain controversial.Mercury isotopes, which undergo both massdependent and mass-independent fractionation, can provide critical insights into the deep-time ATOCSs,especially for those impacted by large igneous provinces(LIPs)events. Here,we build a highresolution multi-proxy record of Hg(concentrations and isotopic compositions)combined with organic carbon isotopes(δ^(13)Corg)and whole-rock geochemical data(including trace elements and phosphorus)from continuous cores in the Yangtze Platform,South China. Our data, combined with reported ones, indicate the occurrence of LIP eruptions against localized volcanism, and four successive, yet contrasting stages of ATOCSs during the OST.Moreover,we identified the coupling between two-pulse LIP magmatism and extreme ATOCSs,each with special pCO_(2),weathering rate, primary productivity, redox condition, climatic mode, and biotic evolution. For stage I,the first pulse of LIP magmatism triggered global warming, enhanced terrestrial weathering, oceanic acidification, eutrophication, anoxia,P recycling, and thereby widespread deposition of black shales.During stage II,the Hirnantian glaciation and oxygenation arose from the intense chemical weathering and black shale deposition of stage I;slashed terrestrial weathering and oceanic oxygenation facilitated CO_(2) accumulation. In stage III,another pulse of LIP magmatism triggered the de-glaciation,and the ATOCS was largely similar to that of stage I.This led to another round of oxygenation and positive d13Corg excursion in stage IV.Compared with the environmental pressure by the peculiar ATOCS of each stage, their transitions might have been more devastating in triggering the prolonged Late Ordovician Mass Extinction(LOME).Moreover, limited biotic recovery was possible in the later portion of stages I and III.The multi-proxy study of continuous strata of the OST provides an excellent framework for better illuminating LIPs’essential role in driving the“roller-coaster”behavior of the ATOCS and thus biotic crisis during the pivotal period of the OST. | Licai Song Qing Chen Huijun Li Changzhou Deng | 2023 | Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,3: | 0
Discovery and nomenclature of nucleus that regulate cerebrospinal fluid显示文摘The difference of composition in extracellular fluid in brain parenchyma and CSF suggests that CSF-brain barrier(CBB)is objective, which is necessary to maintain the stability of their internal environment. However, the information exchange between brain and CSF is also objective. For example,CSF is changes during diseases, the application of drugs(such as lumbar anesthesia)or tissue transplantation via the CSF pathway may also produce central(cerebral)effects.Who breaks through the barrier and mediates brain-CSF communication?Since 1992,we have found that the peripheral nerve tracer CB-HRP injected into the lateral ventricle of mice, rats and macaques is blocked in the ventricle wall and can only run in CSF,but a large number of CB-HRP-positive labeled neurons can be seen in specific parts of the brain stem parenchyma.Understandably, these neurons touch markers in CSF.Otherwise, they cannot be tagged. | Zhang Licai Song Siyuan Lu Xianfu Zhou Fang Liu He Cao Junli | 2021 | 解剖学杂志2021,44,S01: | 0
