1Relocation of the mainshock and aftershock sequences of M_S7.0 Sichuan Lushan earthquake显示文摘The mainshock of April 20,2013 Sichuan Lushan MS7.0 earthquake was relocated using a 3-D velocity model.Double difference algorithm was applied to relocate aftershock sequences of Lushan earthquake.The locations of 2405 aftershocks were determined.The location errors in E-W,N-S and U-D direction were 0.30,0.29 and 0.59 km on average,respectively.The location of the mainshock is 102.983°E,30.291°N and the focal depth is 17.6 km.The relocation results show that the aftershocks spread approximately 35 km in length and 16 km in width.The dominant distribution of the focal depth ranges from 10 to 20 km.A few earthquakes occurred in the shallow crust.Focal depth profiles show fault planes dip to the northwest,manifested itself as a listric thrust fault.The dip angle is steep in the shallow crust and gentle in the deep crust.Although the epicenters of aftershocks distributed mainly along both sides of the Shuangshi-Dachuan fault,the seismogenic fault may be a blind thrust fault on the eastern side of the Shuangshi-Dachuan fault.Earthquake relocation results reveal that there is a southeastward tilt aftershock belt intersecting with the seismogenic fault with y-shape.We speculate it is a back thrust fault that often appears in a thrust fault system.Lushan earthquake triggered the seismic activity of the back thrust fault.FANG LiHua WU JianPing WANG WeiLai Lü ZuoYong WANG ChangZai YANG Ting CAI Yan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:74
2MiR-181b suppresses proliferation of and reduces chemoresistance to temozolomide in U87 glioma stem cells显示文摘MicroRNAs regulate self renewal and differentiation of cancer stem cells.There,we sought to identify the expression of miR-181b in glioma stem cells and investigate the biological effect of miR-181b on glioma stem cells in this study.MiR-181b expression was measured by real-time PCR in glioma stem cells isolated from U87 cells by FACS sorting.After miR-181b was overexpressed in U87 glioma stem cells by miR-181b lentiviral expression vector and/or treatment of temozolomide,secondary neurosphere assay,soft agar colony assay and MTT assay were performed.Compared with U87 cells,the expression of miR-181b was significantly decreased in U87 glioma stem cells.Overexpression of miR-181b decreased neurosphere formation by U87 glioma stem cells in vitro and suppressed colony formation in soft agar,and the cell growth inhibition rates increased in a time-dependent manner in U87 glioma stem cells infected with miR-181b lentivirus.Furthermore,miR-181b had a synergistic effect on temozolomide-induced inhibition of secondary neurosphere and soft agar colony,and on cell growth inhibition rates.MiR-181b functions as a tumor suppressor that suppresses proliferation and reduces chemoresistance to temozolomide in glioma stem cells.Ping Li Xiaoming Lu Yingyi Wang Lihua Sun Chunfa Qian Wei Yan Ning Liu Yongping You Zhen Fu 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,6:14
3Application of bioactive hydrogels combined with dental pulp stem cells for the repair of large gap peripheral nerve injuries显示文摘Due to the limitations in autogenous nerve grafting or Schwann cell transplantation,large gap peripheral nerve injuries require a bridging strategy supported by nerve conduit.Cell based therapies provide a novel treatment for peripheral nerve injuries.In this study,we first experimented an optimal scaffold material synthesis protocol,from where we selected the 10%GFD formula(10%GelMA hydrogel,recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor and dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs))to fill a cellulose/soy protein isolate composite membrane(CSM)tube to construct a third generation of nerve regeneration conduit,CSM-GFD.Then this CSM-GFD conduit was applied to repair a 15-mm long defect of sciatic nerve in a rat model.After 12 week post implant surgery,at histologic level,we found CSM-GFD conduit could regenerate nerve tissue like neuron and Schwann like nerve cells and myelinated nerve fibers.At physical level,CSM-GFD achieved functional recovery assessed by a sciatic functional index study.In both levels,CSM-GFD performed like what gold standard,the nerve autograft,could do.Further,we unveiled that almost all newly formed nerve tissue at defect site was originated from the direct differentiation of exogeneous DPSCs in CSM-GFD.In conclusion,we claimed that this third-generation nerve regeneration conduit,CSM-GFD,could be a promising tissue engineering approach to replace the conventional nerve autograft to treat the large gap defect in peripheral nerve injuries.Lihua Luo Yan He Ling Jin Yanni Zhang Fernando P.Guastaldi Abdullkhaleg A.Albashari Fengting Hu Xiaoyan Wang Lei Wang Jian Xiao Lingli Li Jianming Wang Akon Higuchi Qingsong Ye 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,3:11

5THREE DIMENSIONAL NONLINEAR NUMERICAL MODEL WITH INCLINED PRESSURE FOR SALTWATER INTRUSION AT THE YANGTZE RIVER ESTUARY显示文摘A three dimensional nonlinear numerical model with inclined pressure was developed to compute the saltwater intrusion at the Yangtze River Estuary. The σ transformation was introduced in the vertical plane to achieve the same lattices in the whole domain of interest. The mode splitting technique splits the three dimensional governing equations into the surface gravity waves (external mode) and the internal gravity waves (internal mode). And the external mode was solved by the improved double sweep implicit (DSI) finite difference method and the internal mode was solved by the Eulerian Lagrangian method. The Eulerian Lagrangian method could not only reduce the numerical diffusion but also increase the computational accuracy by the improvement of the finite difference scheme in the vertical direction. Application of the model to the Yangtze River Estuary was carried out for the calculation of the saltwater intrusion and the null point. Results of the temporal and spatial distribution of the flow velocity and the salinity coincide with the measured data quite well. 6Serum containing Tongqiaohuoxue decoction suppresses glutamate-induced PC12 cell injury显示文摘Glutamate application is an established method of inducing PC12 cell injury. PC12 cells were cultured with serum containing Tongqiaohuoxue decoction consisting of moschus, Carthamus tinctorius, Rhizoma chuanxiong, Semen pruni persicae, and Radix Paeoniae Rubra. After 24 hours of co-cultivation, glutamate (12.5 mM) was added to the culture medium. We found that serum containing Tongqiaohuoxue decoction prevented the increase in reactive oxygen species, and the decreases in superoxide dismutase and Na+-K+-ATPase activity, induced by glutamate. It also reduced the concentration of malondialdehyde, enhanced the mitochondrial transmembrane potential, inhibited the elevation of cellular calcium, and decreased phosphorylation of calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II. 7Water-in-salt electrolyte ion-matched N/O codoped porous carbons for high-performance supercapacitors显示文摘Pore size and distribution in carbon-based materials are regarded to be a key factor to affect the electrochemical capacitive performances of the resultant electrodes.In this study,nitrogen and oxygen codoped porous carbons(NOPCs) are fabricated based on a simple Schiff-base reaction between m-phenylenediamine and terephthalaldehyde.The NOPCs have tunable morphologies,high surface areas,abundant heteroatom doping.More importantly,the carbons show a dominant micropores of 0.5-0.8 nm,comparable to the ionic sizes of LiTFSI(Li^+0.069 nm;TFSI-0.79 nm) water-in-salt electrolyte with a high potential window of 2.2 V.Consequently,the fabricated symmetric supercapacitor gives a high energy output of 30.5 Wh/kg at 1 kW/kg,and high stability after successive 10,000 cycles with ^96.8% retention.This study provides promising potential to develop high-energy supercapacitors.Jingjing Yan Dazhang Zhu Yaokang Lv Wei Xiong Mingxian Liu Lihua Gan 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,2:6

9Responses of ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms to biochar and compost amendments of heavy metals-polluted soil显示文摘Heavy metal pollution affects soil ecological function.Biochar and compost can effectively remediate heavy metals and increase soil nutrients.The effects and mechanisms of biochar and compost amendments on soil nitrogen cycle function in heavy-metal contaminated soils are not fully understood.This study examined how biochar,compost,and their integrated use affected ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms in heavy metal polluted soil.Quantitative PCR was used to determine the abundance of ammonia-oxidizing archaea(AOA)and bacteria(AOB).Ammonia monooxygenase(AMO)activity was evaluated by the enzymelinked immunosorbent assay.Results showed that compost rather than biochar improved nitrogen conversion in soil.Biochar,compost,or their integrated application significantly reduced the effective Zn and Cd speciation.Adding compost obviously increased As and Cu effective speciation,bacterial 16 S rRNA abundance,and AMO activity.AOB,stimulated by compost addition,was significantly more abundant than AOA throughout remediation.Correlation analysis showed that AOB abundance positively correlated with NO_(3)^(-)-N(r=0.830,P<0.01),and that AMO activity had significant correlation with EC(r=-0.908,P<0.01)and water-soluble carbon(r=-0.868,P<0.01).Those seem to be the most vital factors affecting AOB community and their function in heavy metal-polluted soil remediated by biochar and compost.Mingyue Li Jiachao Zhang Xiao Yang Yaoyu Zhou Lihua Zhang Yuan Yang Lin Luo Qingyun Yan 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4:5
10A Line-Surface Integrated Algorithm for Underwater Terrain Matching显示文摘The current underwater terrain surface matching algorithm,which uses Hu moment as the similarity index,cannot gain accurate location due to the algorithm’s disadvantage in detecting slight differences.To solve this problem,a line-surface integrated terrain matching algorithm is presented.First,the similarity evaluation method of the traditional Terrain Contour Matching(TERCOM)algorithm is improved,and the strategy used to select the matching regions is developed.Then,a surface matching algorithm based on the geometric similarity is established to determine the optimum match between the reference maps and the actual measured terrains.Finally,a means of“line matching algorithm”and“surface matching algorithm”integration is proposed based on a fixed threshold.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can obtain a more accurate location and has greater robustness than that of the surface underwater matching algorithm based on Hu moment.Lihua ZHANG Xianpeng LIU Shuaidong JIA Yan SHI 2019Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2019,2,4:5
11Mitochondrial Genome of Episesarma lafondii(Brachyura:Sesarmidae)and Comparison with Other Sesarmid Crabs显示文摘Complete mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)can provide useful information for phylogenetic relationships,gene rearrangement,and molecular evolution.Here,the complete mitogenome of Episesarma lafondii(Brachyura:Grapsoidea:Sesarmidae)was sequenced through next-generation sequencing technique for the first time.The 15640 bp mitogenome contains the entire set of 37 genes and an AT-rich region.The rearrangements of two tRNA genes(tRNA-His and tRNA-Gln)are compared with that in the pancrustacean ground pattern,and the tandem duplication/random loss model was selected to explain the observed gene rearrangements.The phylogenetic results showed that all sesarmid crabs belong to the same group,wherein the genus Episesarma showed the closest relationship with Clistocoeloma.Furthermore,the monophyly of each family was well supported except for Xanthidae,Gecarcinidae,and Homolidae.The correlation between the phylogeny of Sesarmidae species and the gaps in the QIM region was analyzed.Evidently,the gaps between Q and I(Gap3 and between I and M(Gap4)degenerated with the evolution process.In general,the results will contribute to the in-depth understanding of gene rearrangements in Sesarmidae mitogenomes and provide new insights into the phylogeny of Brachyura.ZHANG Ying GAO Yan GONG Li LU Xinting JIANG Lihua LIU Bingjian LIU Liqin LU Zhenming LI Pengfei 2021Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,6:4

13Effects of different carbon sources on the removal of ciprofloxacin and pollutants by activated sludge:Mechanism and biodegradation显示文摘This research investigated the effects of ciprofloxacin(CIP)(0.5,5,and 20 mg/L)on SBR systems under different carbon source conditions.Microbial community abundance and structure were determined by quantitative PCR and high-throughput sequencing,respectively.The biodegradation production of CIP and possible degradation mechanism were also studied.Results showed that CIP had adverse effects on the nutrient removal from wastewater.Compared with sodium acetate,glucose could be more effectively used by microorganisms,thus eliminating the negative effects of CIP.Glucose stimulated the microbial abundance and increased the removal rate of CIP by 18%–24%.The mechanism research indicated that Proteobacteria and Acidobacteria had a high tolerance for CIP.With sodium acetate as a carbon source,the abundance of nitrite-oxidizing bacterial communities decreased under CIP,resulting in the accumulation of nitrite and nitrate.Rhodanobacter and Microbacterium played a major role in nitrification and denitrification when using sodium acetate and glucose as carbon sources.Dyella and Microbacterium played positive roles in the degradation process of CIP and eliminated the negative effect of CIP on SBR,which was consistent with the improved removal efficiency of pollutants.Yixiang Cai Zhiyong Yan Yingjuan Ou Boshang Peng Lihua Zhang Jihai Shao Yiqing Lin Jiachao Zhang 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,1:4
14Recurrent orbital space-occupying lesions:a clinicopathologic study of 253 cases显示文摘Objective:To analyze the clinical features,histopathologic classification and frequencies of various types of recurrent orbital space-occupying lesions.Methods:A retrospective study was carried out in 253 consecutive patients with recurrent orbital spaceoccupying lesions treated by surgical excision in the Institute of Orbital Diseases,the General Hospital of the Armed Police Force from January 2009 to December 2010.Results:The patients included 123 males and 130 females aged 2 to 78 years(mean,36.2 years),and the last recurrence interval after operation ranged from 1 month to 40 years(median,4.75 years).Of all the cases,159(62.8%),65(25.7%),20(7.9%),8(3.2%) and 1(0.4%) had previously experienced once,twice,three,four and six times of surgeries,respectively.Among them,29(11.5%) cases had recurred 3 times or over,and 37(14.6%) cases got recurrence in 10 or more years postoperatively.Most of the patients with local recurrence presented with various clinical manifestations,while 31(12.3%) cases were symptom-free.Two hundred and thirty-one(91.3%) cases underwent surgical removal of the recurrent orbital lesions,and another 22(8.7%) cases had to receive the exenteration of orbit.Categories of these recurrent orbital lesions after operation were as follows:lacrimal gland tumors,65(25.7%) cases;vasogenic diseases,54(21.3%) cases;neurogenic tumors,42(16.6%) cases;secondary tumors,24(9.5%) cases;orbital inflammation,21(8.3%) cases;myogenic tumors,14(5.5%) cases;fibrous and adipose tumors,12(4.7%) cases;lympho-hematopoietic tumors,7(2.8%) cases;bone or cartilage tumors,7(2.8%) cases;orbital cysts,6(2.4%) cases;and indefinitely differentiated tumor,1(0.4%) case.The 10 top histopathologic diagnoses were lacrimal gland pleomorphic adenoma,hemangiolymphangioma,lacrimal gland adenoid cystic carcinoma,meningioma,inflammatory pseudotumor,neurofibroma,sebaceous gland carcinoma,vascular malformation,rhabdomyosarcoma and hemangioma.Conclusions:The variety of recurrent orbital lesions after operation includes mainly of tumors except for vascular malformation and orbital inflammatory lesions.The lacrimal gland epithelial tumor is most prone to relapse after resection,and early and longer-term postoperative follow-up is needed.Weiqiang Tang Yan Hei Lihua Xiao 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,4:4
15LiPO_(2)F_(2) electrolyte additive for high-performance Li-rich cathode material显示文摘Li-rich layered oxide cathodes have received considerable attention because of the high operating potential and specific capacity. However, the structural instability and parasitic reactions at high potential cause severe degradation of the electrochemical performance. In our studies, the cycling stability of Li_(1.14)Ni_(0.133)Co_(0.133)Mn_(0.544)O_(2) cathode is improved with LiPO_(2)F_(2) electrolyte additive. After 500 cycles, the capacity retention is increased from 53.6% to 85% at 3 C by LiPO_(2)F_(2) modification. This performance is mainly attributed to the enhanced interfacial stability of the Li-rich cathode. Based on systematic characterization, LiPO_(2)F_(2) additive was found to promote a stable interface film on the cathode surface during the cycling and mitigates the interfacial side reactions. 16Characterization and validation of somatic mutation spectrum to reveal heterogeneity in gastric cancer by single cell sequencing显示文摘Gastric cancer(GC) is a highly heterogeneous disease with multiple cellular types and poor prognosis.However, the cellular evolution and molecular basis of GC at the individual intra-tumor level has not been well demonstrated. We performed single-cell whole exome sequencing to detect somatic singlenucleotide variants(SNVs) and significantly mutated genes(SMGs) among 34 tumor cells and 9 normal cells from a patient with GC. The Complete Prediction for Protein Conformation(CPPC) approach directly predicting the folding conformation of the protein 3D structure with Protein Folding Shape Code, combined with functional experiments were used to confirm the characterization of mutated SMGs in GC cells. We identified 201 somatic SNVs, including 117 non-synonymous mutations in GC cells. Further analysis identified 24 significant mutated genes(SMGs) in single cells, for which a single amino acid change might affect protein conformation. Among them, two genes(CDC27 and FLG) that were mutated only in single cells but not in the corresponding tumor tissue, were recurrently present in another GC tissue cohort, and may play a potential role to promote carcinogenesis, as confirmed by functional characterization. 18Effect of acupuncture plus conventional treatment on brain activity in ischemic stroke patients: a regional homogeneity analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To determine differences in cerebral activity evoked by acupuncture and conventional stroke treatment, and identify the treatment targets.METHODS: In total, 21 patients were randomly divided into two groups. Group A(11 patients) received both acupuncture and conventional treatment, while group B(10 patients) received conventional treatment only. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(f MRI) was performed on each participant before and after treatment. Regional homogeneity analysis was performed to investigate the potential mechanism of acupuncture treatment by comparing differences in cerebral activity between treatments.RESULTS: Group A showed higher Re Ho in the frontal lobe(BA6, BA46), supra-marginal gyrus(BA40),middle temporal gyrus(BA21), cerebellum, and insula. Group B showed higher Re Ho in the frontal lobe(BA6) and parietal lobe(BA3, BA7).CONCLUSION: Acupuncture and conventional treatment triggered relatively different clinical efficacy and brain responses. Acupuncture treatment more significantly improved the symptoms of stroke patients. 19Genetically encoded X-ray cellular imaging for nanoscale protein localization显示文摘Spatial resolution defines the physical limit of microscopes for probing biomolecular localization and interactions in cells.Whereas synchrotron-based X-ray microscopy(XRM)represents a unique approach for imaging a whole cell with nanoscale resolution due to its intrinsic nanoscale resolution and great penetration ability,existing approaches to label biomolecules rely on the use of exogenous tags that are multi-step and error-prone.Here,we repurpose engineered peroxidases as genetically encoded X-ray-sensitive tags(GXET)for site-specific labeling of protein-of-interest in mammalian cells.We find that 3,3-diaminobenzidine(DAB)polymers that are in-situ catalytically formed by fusion-expressed peroxidases are visible under XRM.Using this new tag,we imaged the protein location associated with the alteration of a DNA-methylation pathway with an ultra-high resolution of 30 nanometers.Importantly,the excellent energy resolution of XRM enables multicolor imaging using different peroxidase tags.The development of GXET enlightens the way to nanoscopic imaging for biological studies.Huating Kong Jichao Zhang Jiang Li Jian Wang Hyun-Joon Shin Renzhong Tai Qinglong Yan Kai Xia Jun Hu Lihua Wang Ying Zhu Chunhai Fan 2020National Science Review2020,7,7:3
20Comprehensively-modified polymer electrolyte membranes with multifunctional PMIA for highly-stable all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Polyethylene oxide(PEO)-based electrolytes have obvious merits such as strong ability to dissolve salts(e.g.,LiTFSI)and high flexibility,but their applications in solid-state batteries is hindered by the low ion conductance and poor mechanical and thermal properties.Herein,poly(m-phenylene isophthalamide)(PMIA)is employed as a multifunctional additive to improve the overall properties of the PEO-based electrolytes.The hydrogen-bond interactions between PMIA and PEO/TFSI-can effectively prevent the PEO crystallization and meanwhile facilitate the LiTFSI dissociation,and thus greatly improve the ionic conductivity(two times that of the pristine electrolyte at room temperature).With the incorporation of the high-strength PMIA with tough amide-benzene backbones,the PMIA/PEO-LiTFSI composite polymer electrolyte(CPE)membranes also show much higher mechanical strength(2.96 MPa),thermostability(4190℃)and interfacial stability against Li dendrites(468 h at 0.10 mA cm-2)than the pristine electrolyte(0.32 MPa,364℃and short circuit after 246 h).Furthermore,the CPE-based LiFePO4/Li cells exhibit superior cycling stability(137 mAh g^-1 with 93%retention after 100 cycles at 0.5 C)and rate performance(123 mAh g^-1 at 1.0 C).This work provides a novel and effective CPE structure design strategy to achieve comprehensively-upgraded electrolytes for promising solid-state battery applications.Lehao Liu Jinshan Mo Jingru Li Jinxin Liu Hejin Yan Jing Lyu Bing Jiang Lihua Chu Meicheng Li 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:3
