1Expression and Function of Zinc-α2-Glycoprotein显示文摘Zinc-α2-glycoprotein(ZAG), encoded by the AZGP1 gene, is a major histocompatibility complex I molecule and a lipid-mobilizing factor. ZAG has been demonstrated to promote lipid metabolism and glucose utilization, and to regulate insulin sensitivity. Apart from adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, liver, and kidney, ZAG also occurs in brain tissue, but its distribution in brain is debatable. Only a few studies have investigated ZAG in the brain. It has been found in the brains of patients with Krabbe disease and epilepsy, and in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with Alzheimer disease, frontotemporal lobe dementia, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Both ZAG protein and AZGP1 m RNA are decreased in epilepsy patients and animal models, while overexpression of ZAG suppresses seizure and epileptic discharges in animal models of epilepsy, but knowledge of the specific mechanism of ZAG in epilepsy is limited. 2Physiological performance of three calcifying green macroalgae Halimeda species in response to altered seawater temperatures显示文摘The effects of seawater temperature on the physiological performance of three Halimeda species were studied for a period of 28 d.Five treatments were established for Halimeda cylindracea,Halimeda opuntia and Halimeda lacunalis,in triplicate aquaria representing a factorial temperature with 24°C,28°C,32°C,34°C and 36°C,respectively.The average Fv/Fm of these species ranged from 0.732 to 0.756 between 24°C and 32°C but declined sharply between 34°C(0.457±0.035)and 36°C(0.122±0.014).Calcification was highest at 28°C,with net calcification rates(Gnet)of(20.082±2.482)mg/(g·d),(12.825±1.623)mg/(g·d)and(6.411±1.029)mg/(g·d)for H.cylindracea,H.opuntia and H.lacunalis,respectively.Between 24°C and 32°C,the specific growth rate(SGR)of H.lacunalis(0.079%–0.110%d–1)was lower than that of H.cylindracea(0.652%–1.644%d–1)and H.opuntia(0.360%–1.527%d–1).Three Halimeda species gradually bleached at 36°C during the study period.Malondialdehyde(MDA)and proline levels in tissues of the three Halimeda were higher in 34–36°C than those in 24–32°C.The results indicate that seawater temperature with range of 24–32°C could benefit the growth and calcification of these Halimeda species,however,extreme temperatures above 34°C have negative impacts.The measured physiological parameters also revealed that H.cylindracea and H.opuntia displayed broader temperature tolerance than H.lacunalis.Zhangliang Wei Jiahao Mo Ruiping Huang Qunju Hu Chao Long Dewen Ding Fangfang Yang Lijuan Long 2020Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,2:2

4Particulate matter assessment of a wetland in Beijing显示文摘To increase the knowledge on the particulate matter of a wetland in Beijing, an experimental study on the concentration and composition of PM10 and PM2.5was implemented in Beijing Olympic Forest Park from 2013 to 2014. This study analyzed the meteorological factors and deposition fluxes at different heights and in different periods in the wetlands. The results showed that the mean mass concentrations of PM10 and PM2.5were the highest at 06:00–09:00 and the lowest at 15:00–18:00. And the annual concentration of PM10 and PM2.5in the wetland followed the order of dry period(winter) > normal water period(spring and autumn) > wet period(summer), with the concentration in the dry period significantly higher than that in the normal water and wet periods. The chemical composition of PM2.5in the wetlands included NH4+, K+, Na+, Mg2+, SO42-, NO3-, and Cl-, which respectively accounted for 12.7%, 1.0%, 0.8%, 0.7%, 46.6%, 33.2%, and 5.1% of the average annual composition. The concentration of PM10 and PM2.5in the wetlands had a significant positive correlation with relative humidity, a negative correlation with wind speed, and an insignificant negative correlation with temperature and radiation. 7Detail description of Lithophyllum okamurae(Lithophylloideae,Corallinales), a widely distributed crustose coralline alga in marine ecosystems显示文摘Lithophyllum okamurae is one of the important encrusting coralline algae,which plays important roles as primary producer,carbonate sediment builder,and habitat provider in the marine ecosystems.In this study,L.okamurae was collected from tropical coast of Sanya,and firstly described based on both detailed morph-anatomical characteristics and molecular studies of typic DNA sequences.The structure of the thalli of L.okamurae was pseudoparenchymatous construction with radially organized dimerous organizations in the crustose portion.The pseudoparenchymatous construction were composed of three parts,including 1 to 3 layers of epithelia cells which had flatten to round outermost walls,one layer of square or rectangular cells of the hypothallia and multiple layers of square or elongated rectangular peripheral cells.Palisade cells were observed,and the cells of the contiguous vegetative filaments were connected by secondary pit-connections with cell fusions absent.The carposporangial conceptacles,the spermatangial conceptacles,the bisporangial conceptacles and the tetrasporangial conceptacles were observed,and all these four kinds of conceptacles were uniporate.The spermatangial conceptacles were slightly convex and buried at shallow depths in the thalli tissues,and the carposporangial conceptacles and asexual conceptacles were protruding and conical.Phylogenetic studies based on DNA barcoding markers of 18 S rDNA,COI,rbc L and psb A revealed that L.okamurae clustered with the closest relation of L.atlanticum,and formed a distinct branch.Based on the comparative anatomical features and the molecular data,the detailed description of the valid species of L.okamurae was firstly given in this study to provide theoretical basis for algae resources utilization and conservation in marine ecosystems.Qunju Hu Fangfang Yang Zhangliang Wei Jiahao Mo Chao Long Xinpeng Tian Lijuan Long 2020Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,6:0

9Transient positive antimitochondrial M2 in sera of patients with connective tissue diseases after intravenous immunoglobulin infusions显示文摘Background:Although antinuclear antibodies(ANAs),anti‐SSA and anti‐Ro52,are present in immunoglobulin preparations,it is unknown whether intravenous immunoglobulin(IVIG)therapy influences the testing of serum autoantibodies in patients with connective tissue diseases(CTDs).The present study aimed to investigate the dynamic change over time of serum ANA‐related autoantibodies in patients with CTDs receiving IVIG therapy.Methods:Serum ANA‐related autoantibodies were monitored in two patients with CTD before IVIG therapy and at different times after therapy.These autoantibodies were tested in different batches of immunoglobulin preparations from seven pharmaceutical companies.Results:One patient developed a new ANA pattern(cytoplasmic dense fine speckled pattern,AC‐19)just after IVIG therapy.Both patients developed de novo positivity for AMA‐M2 and anti‐SSA,but returned negative 1 month after IVIG therapy.The residual liquid in patients'immunoglobulin preparations showed positive ANAs with a high titer of AC‐19(1:640),a low titer of the nuclear fine speckled pattern(AC‐4,1:80),positive AMA‐M2,and positive anti‐SSA.ANA‐related autoantibodies were tested in 16 batches of immunoglobulin preparations and all had positive ANAs with two patterns:AC‐19(1:640 or 1:320)and AC‐4(1:80).AMA‐M2 and anti‐SSA were positive in 100%of the batches.Conclusion:Our study highlights high‐titer AMA‐M2 autoantibodies in immunoglobulin preparations and suggests their transient transfer into a patient's circulation via IVIG therapy.To avoid incorrect clinical decisions based on postinfusion antibody titers,our data recommend retesting 1–2 months after high‐dose IVIG immunomodulatory treatment.Lijuan Yang Xiuning Wei Qianhua Li Honggui Li Zhiming Ouyang Aiqi Zeng Donghui Zheng Lie Dai Yingqian Mo 2022Rheumatology & Autoimmunity2022,2,4:0

11Positive stool culture could predict the clinical outcomes of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation显示文摘We aimed to identify the effect of positive stool cultures (PSCs) on the clinical outcomes of patients undergoing haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (haplo-HSCT)(n = 332). PSCs were observed in 61 patients (PSC group, 18.4%). Enterobacteriaceae in stool specimens was associated with a higher risk of bloodstream infection, and Candida in stool specimens was related to a higher risk of platelet engraftment failure. The cumulative incidence of infection-related mortality 1 year after haplo-HSCT in the PSC group was higher than that of the patients who showed persistently negative stool cultures (NSC group;19.2% vs. 8.9%, P = 0.017). The probabilities of overall survival (71.4% vs. 83.8%, P = 0.031) and disease-free survival (69.6% vs. 81.0%, P = 0.048) 1 year after haplo-HSCT for the PSC group were significantly lower than those for the NSC group, particularly for patients who had Candida in their stool specimens. In multivariate analysis, Candida in stool specimens significantly increased the risk of mortality and was associated with poorer survival.
