| 1 | The CAMS Climate System Model and a Basic Evaluation of Its Climatology and Climate Variability Simulation显示文摘A new coupled climate system model(CSM) has been developed at the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS) by employing several state-of-the-art component models. The coupled CAMS-CSM consists of the modified atmospheric model [ECmwf-HAMburg(ECHAM5)], ocean model [Modular Ocean Model(MOM4)], sea ice model [Sea Ice Simulator(SIS)], and land surface model [Common Land Model(CoLM)]. A detailed model description is presented and both the pre-industrial and 'historical' simulations are preliminarily evaluated in this study.The model can reproduce the climatological mean states and seasonal cycles of the major climate system quantities,including the sea surface temperature, precipitation, sea ice extent, and the equatorial thermocline. The major climate variability modes are also reasonably captured by the CAMS-CSM, such as the Madden–Julian Oscillation(MJO), El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO), East Asian Summer Monsoon(EASM), and Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO).The model shows a promising ability to simulate the EASM variability and the ENSO–EASM relationship. | 4 | Analyzing and Forecasting Climate Change in Harbin City,Northeast China显示文摘Based on sounding data from 1975 to 2005 and TM/ETM+ remote sensing images in 1989, 2001 and 2007, the climate changes in Harbin City, Northeast China in recent 30 years were analyzed and forecasted. Results show that in the lower troposphere the meridional wind speed and mean annual wind speed decrease, and in the lower stratosphere the temperature decreases while the meridional wind speed increases significantly. In the study area, the climate is becoming warmer and wetter in the middle lower troposphere. The expansion of urban area has great effects on the surface air temperature and the wind speed, leading to the increase of the surface air temperature, the decrease of the surface wind speed, and the increase of the area of urban high temperature zone. The quantitative equations have been established among the surface air temperature, the carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration and the specific humidity (the water vapor content). It is predicted that the future increasing rate of the surface air temperature is 0.85℃/10yr if emission concentration of CO2 remains unchanged; if emission concentration of CO2 decreases to 75%, 50% and 25%, respectively, the surface air temperature will increase 0.65℃/10yr, 0.46℃/10yr and 0.27℃/10yr, respectively. | 5 | Preclinical evaluation and pilot clinical study of [^(18)F]AlF-labeled FAPI-tracer for PET imaging of cancer associated fibroblasts显示文摘In recent years,fibroblast activation protein(FAP)has emerged as an attractive target for the diagnosis and radiotherapy of cancers using FAP-specific radioligands.Herein,we aimed to design a novel^(18)Flabeled FAP tracer([^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI)for FAP imaging and evaluated its potential for clinical application.The[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI novel tracer was prepared in an automated manner within 42 min with a non-decay corrected radiochemical yield of 32±6%(n=8).Among A549-FAP cells,[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI demonstrated specific uptake,rapid internalization,and low cellular efflux.Compared to the patent tracer[^(18)F]FAPI-42,[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI exhibited lower levels of cellular efflux in the A549-FAP cells and higher stability in vivo.Micro-PET imaging in the A549-FAP tumor model indicated higher specific tumor uptake of[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI(7.0±1.0%ID/g)compared to patent tracers[^(18)F]FAPI-42(3.2±0.6%ID/g)and[68 Ga]Ga-FAPI-04(2.7±0.5%ID/g).Furthermore,in an initial diagnostic application in a patient with nasopharyngeal cancer,[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI and[^(18)F]FDG PET/CT showed comparable results for both primary tumors and lymph node metastases.These results suggest that[^(18)F]Al F-P-FAPI can be conveniently prepared,with promising characteristics in the preclinical evaluation.The feasibility of FAP imaging was demonstrated using PET studies. | Kongzhen Hu Junqi Li Lijuan Wang Yong Huang Li Li Shimin Ye Yanjiang Han Shun Huang Hubing Wu Jin Su Ganghua Tang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2: | 4 |
| 6 | The epigallocatechin gallate derivative Y_6 reverses drug resistance mediated by the ABCB1 transporter both in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Previously, we reported that Y_6, a new epigallocatechin gallate derivative, is efficacious in reversing doxorubicin(DOX)–mediated resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma BEL-7404/DOX cells. In this study, we evaluated the efficacy of Y_6 in reversing drug resistance both in vitro and in vivo by determining its effect on the adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette protein B1 transporter(ABCB1 or P-glycoprotein, P-gp). Our results showed that Y_6 significantly sensitized cells overexpressing the ABCB1 transporter to anticancer drugs that are ABCB1 substrates. Y_6 significantly stimulated the adenosine triphosphatase activity of ABCB1. Furthermore, Y_6 exhibited a higher docking score as compared with epigallocatechin gallate inside the transmembrane domain of ABCB1. In addition, in the nude mousetumor xenograft model, Y_6(110 mg/kg, intragastric administration), in combination with doxorubicin(2 mg/kg, intraperitoneal injection), significantly inhibited the growth of BEL-7404/DOX cell xenograft tumors, compared to equivalent epigallocatechin gallate. | 16 | Effect of electroacupuncture at Zusanli(ST 36) on dorsal root nerve signals in normal rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate how electroacupuncture (EA) at Zusanli (ST 36) with varying intensities of stimulation affects dorsal root nerve signals in normal rats. METHODS: Adult female Wistar rats were examined after drug-induced anesthesia and isolation of the L4 dorsal root associated with the Zusanli (ST 36) acupoint, using bipolar platinum electrodes. We applied EA at Zusanli (ST 36) with a continuous wave waveform for 1 min, and recorded action potentials in the L4 spinal cord dorsal root nerve with a frequency of 5 Hz and various current intensity levels (approximately 1-4 mA). In addition, we tested EA with a frequency of 15 Hz and current intensity of 1-4 mA. The L4 spinal cord dorsal nerve bundle action potentials were measured for 1 min of EA. To analyze the discharge frequency, we used the maximum Lyapunov exponent and Lempel-Ziv (LZ) complexity. RESULTS: At a fixed frequency, with increasing intensity of EA, dorsal root nerve filament discharge frequency revealed an initial increase, followed by a decreasing trend. A stimulation intensity of 3 mA induced a significantly greater discharge frequency, compared with stimulation intensities of 2 and 4 mA. EA stimulation evoked neuroelectric signals with chaotic characteristics. Increased intensity led to an initial increase in LZ complexity which then decreased, with a stimulation strength of 3 mA inducing the highest level of LZ complexity. | 17 | An Assessment of CAMS-CSM in Simulating Land–Atmosphere Heat and Water Exchanges显示文摘The Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS)has been devoted to developing a climate system model(CSM)to meet demand for climate simulation and prediction for the East Asian region.In this study,we evaluated the performance of CAMS-CSM in regard to sensible heat flux(H),latent heat flux(LE),surface temperature,soil moisture,and snow depth,focusing on the Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project experiment,with the aim of participating in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project phase 6.We systematically assessed the simulation results achieved by CAMS-CSM for these variables against various reference products and ground observations,including the FLUXNET model tree ensembles H and LE data,Climate Prediction Center soil moisture data,snow depth climatology data,and Chinese ground observations of snow depth and winter surface temperature.We compared these results with data from the ECMWF Interim reanalysis(ERA-Interim)and Global Land Data Assimilation System(GLDAS).Our results indicated that CAMS-CSM simulations were better than or comparable to ERA-Interim reanalysis for snow depth and winter surface temperature at regional scales,but slightly worse when simulating total column soil moisture.The root-mean-square differences of H in CAMS-CSM were all greater than those from the ERA-Interim reanalysis,but less than or comparable to those from GLDAS.The spatial correlations for H in CAMS-CSM were the lowest in nearly all regions,except for North America.CAMS-CSM LE produced the lowest bias in Siberia,North America,and South America,but with the lowest spatial correlation coefficients.Therefore,there are still scopes for improving H and LE simulations in CAMS-CSM,particularly for LE. | Guo ZHANG JiANDuo LI Xinyao RONG Yufei XIN Jian LI Haoming CHEN Jingzhi SU Lijuan HUA | 2018 | Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,6: | 1 |
| 18 | ^(137)Cs tracing of the spatial patterns in soil redistribution,organic carbon and total nitrogen in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The southeastern Tibetan Plateau,which profoundly affects East Asia by helping to maintain the stability of climate systems,biological diversity and clean water,is one of the regions most vulnerable to water erosion,wind erosion,tillage erosion,freeze-thaw erosion and overgrazing under global climate changes and intensive human activities.Spatial variations in soil erosion in terraced farmland(TL),sloping farmland(SL)and grassland(GL)were determined by the^(137)Cs tracing method and compared with spatial variations in soil organic carbon(SOC)and total nitrogen(total N).The^(137)Cs concentration in the GL was higher in the 0-0.03 m soil layer than in the other soil layers due to weak migration and diffusion under low precipitation and temperature conditions,while the^(137)Cs concentration in the soil layer of the SL was generally uniform in the 0-0.18 m soil layer due to tillage-induced mixing.Low^(137)Cs inventories appeared at the summit and toe slope positions in the SL due to soil loss by tillage erosion and water erosion,respectively,while the highest^(137)Cs inventories appeared at the middle slope posi-tions due to soil accumulation under relatively flat landform conditions.In the GL,the^(137)Cs data showed that higher soil erosion rates appeared at the summit due to freeze-thaw erosion and steep slope gradients and at the toe slope position due to wind erosion,gully erosion,freeze-thaw erosion and overgrazing.The^(137)Cs inventory generally increased from upper to lower slope positions within each terrace(except the lowest terrace).The^(137)Cs data along the terrace toposequence showed abrupt changes in soil erosion rates between the lower part of the upper terrace and the upper part of the immediate terrace over a short distance and net deposition on the lower and toe terraces.Hence,tillage erosion played an important role in the soil loss at the summit slope positions of each terrace,while water erosion dominantly transported soil from the upper terrace to the lower terrace and resulted in net soil deposition on the flat lower terrace.The SOC inventories showed similar spatial patterns to the^(137)Cs inventories in the SL,TL and GL,and significant correlations were found between the SOC and^(137)Cs inventories in these slope landscapes.The total N inventories showed similar spatial patterns to the inventories of,37Cs and SOC,and significant correlations were also found between the total N and^(137)Cs inventories in the SL,TL and GL Therefore,^(137)Cs can successfully be used for tracing soil,SOC and total N dynamics within slope landscapes in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau. | Zhengan Su Lijuan Wang Yihan Liu Bin Fu Jjianhui Zhang Zuo Wu Tao Zhou Junjie Wang | 2023 | International Soil and Water Conservation Research2023,11,1: | 1 |
