1Provenance of the Paleoproterozoic Hutuo Group basal conglomerates and Neoarchean crustal growth in the Wutai Mountains,North China Craton:Evidence from granite and quartzite pebble zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotopes显示文摘Zircon U-Pb ages(SHRIMP and LA-ICPMS) and Lu-Hf isotope data(LA-ICPMS) are presented for two granite and two quartzite pebbles from the basal conglomerates of the Sijizhuang Formation in the Hutuo Group from the Wutai Mountains area in the North China Craton.These two granite pebbles give zircon 207 Pb/206 Pb ages of 2513±8 Ma and 2527±8 Ma respectively,which are consistent with the emplacement ages of the Wangjiahui grey granite and Guangmingsi or Shifo granite in the Wutai Mountains.Detrital zircons from those two quartzite pebbles are mostly 2550-2490 Ma old with lesser number of 2800-2550 Ma grains,which is similar to the ages of detrital zircons from quartzites in the Gaofan Subgroup of the Neoarchean Wutai Group.Thus,the pebbles in the Hutuo Group basal conglomerates were derived locally from Wutai Mountains Neoarchean sources.Zircons from the Sijizhuang Formation conglomerate granite and quartzite pebbles mostly have positive ε Hf(t) values,a minority with ε Hf(t) values like model depleted mantle(DM) of the same age,but with most showing DM model ages 200-100 Ma.This indicates that most of the source materials were derived from the mantle within the previous 200 million years,whereas some are derived from 2550-2510 Ma juvenile crustal additions.This additional evidence suggests that in the North China Craton there was important initial polycyclic crustal formation and cratonization in the late Neoarchaean,prior to superimposed Palaeoproterozoic orogenic cycles.DU LiLin YANG ChongHui WANG Wei REN LiuDong WAN YuSheng SONG HuiXia GAO LinZhi GENG YuanSheng HOU KeJun 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,11:8
2Complex interplay between formation routes and natural organic matter modification controls capabilities of C_(60)nanoparticles(nC_(60)) to accumulate organic contaminants显示文摘Accumulation of organic contaminants on fullerene nanoparticles(nC_(60)) may significantly affect the risks of C_(60) in the environment.The objective of this study was to further understand how the interplay of nC_(60) formation routes and humic acid modification affects contaminant adsorption of nC_(60).Specifically,adsorption of 1,2,4,5-tetrachlorobenzene(a model nonionic,hydrophobic organic contaminant) on nC_(60) was greatly affected by nC_(60)formation route- the formation route significantly affected the aggregation properties of nC_(60),thus affecting the available surface area and the extent of adsorption via the pore-filling mechanism.Depending on whether nC_(60) was formed via the 'top-down' route(i.e.,sonicating C_(60) powder in aqueous solution) or 'bottom-up' route(i.e.,phase transfer from an organic solvent) and the type of solvent involved(toluene versus tetrahydrofuran),modification of nC_(60) with Suwannee River humic acid(SRHA) could either enhance or inhibit the adsorption affinity of nC_(60).The net effect depended on the specific way in which SRHA interacted with C_(60) monomers and/or C_(60) aggregates of different sizes and morphology,which determined the relative importance of enhanced adsorption from SRHA modification via preventing C_(60) aggregation and inhibited adsorption through blocking available adsorption sites.The findings further demonstrate the complex mechanisms controlling interactions between nC_(60) and organic contaminants,and may have significant implications for the life-cycle analysis and risk assessment of C_(60).Lei Hou John D.Fortner Ximeng Wang Chengdong Zhang Lilin Wang Wei Chen 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,1:5
3Retrorsine Cooperates with Gut Microbiota to Promote Hepatic Sinusoidal Obstruction Syndrome by Disrupting the Gut Barrier显示文摘Background and Aims:Hepatic sinusoidal obstruction syndrome(HSOS)is a life-threatening syndrome,and a cause is exposure to pyrrolizidine alkaloid(PA)-containing products.It is well-established that retrorsine(RTS),a rep-resentative Pas,insults hepatic sinusoidal endothelial cells and ensues congestion of hepatic sinusoids.However,little known about the impact of Pas on gut microbiota and intesti-nal barrier and inflammation in HSOS.Methods:Mice were gavaged with or without nonabsorbable antibiotics(ABX),followed by a single dose of RTS.The gut microbiota was examined by 16S rDNA sequencing.Results:ABX pretreat-ment significantly reversed RTS-induced liver damage.RTS altered gut microbiota composition,increasing Gram-nega-tive bacteria and resulting in a sharp elevation of circulating lipopolysaccharides(LPS)in HSOS mice.Gut decontamina-tion with ABX alleviated RTS-induced intestine inflamma-tion,protected against disruption of the intestinal epithelial barrier and gut vascular barrier(GVB),and suppressed he-patic LPS-NF-κB pathway activation in RTS-induced HSOS.Importantly,the LPS level was positively correlated with MELD score in patients with HSOS.Elevated LPS in patients with HSOS confirmed that Gram-negative bacteria were in-volved in the pathogenesis of HSOS.Conclusions:RTS,a PA,cooperated with gut dysbiosis to cause intestinal inflam-mation and gut barrier compromise that increased transport of gut-derived LPS into the liver through the portal vein,which contributed to the pathology of HSOS.Modulating the gut microbiota,protecting the intestinal barrier,and sup-pressing intestinal inflammation with prebiotics or antibiot-ics might be a useful pharmacologic intervention in HSOS.Li Xiao Lilin Hu Huikuan Chu Liuying Chen Jingjing Yan Weijun Wang Xiaoqian Yang Qingjing Zhu Fan Du Yuhu Song Peng Chen Xiaohua Hou Ling Yang 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,6:2

5The gut microbiome and metabolome of Himalayan Griffons(Gyps himalayensis):insights into the adaptation to carrion-feeding habits in avian scavengers显示文摘Background:Himalayan Griffons(Gyps himalayensis),large scavenging raptors widely distributed in Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau,have evolved a remarkable ability to feed on carcasses without suffering any adverse effects.The gut microbiome plays an important role in animal physiological and pathological processes,and has also been found to play a health protective role in the vulture adaptation to scavenging.However,the microbial taxonomic diversity(including nonculturable and culturable microbes),functions,and metabolites related to Himalayan Griffons have not been fully explored.Methods:In the present study,the 28 fecal samples of the Himalayan Griffons and 8 carrion samples were collected and sequenced using high-throughput 16 S rRNA gene sequencing methods to analyze the composition and functional structures of the microbiomes.Twelve fecal samples of the Himalayan Griffons were analyzed using untargeted Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy(LC-MS)to identify metabolites.We used different culture conditions to grow Himalayan Griffons gut microbes.Inhibitory effects of gut beneficial bacteria on 5 common pathogenic bacteria were also tested using the Oxford cup method.Results:According to the results of the culture-independent method,a high abundance of four major phyla in Himalayan Griffons were identified,including Fusobacteria,Firmicutes,Bacteroidetes,and Proteobacteria.The most abundant genera were Fusobacterium,followed by Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1,Cetobacterium,Epulopiscium,and Bacteroides.The predicted primary functional categories of the Himalayan Griffons'gut microbiome were associated with carbohydrate and amino acid metabolism,replication and repair,and membrane transport.LC-MS metabolomic analysis showed a total of 154 metabolites in all the fecal samples.Cultivation yielded 184 bacterial isolates with Escherichia coli,Enterococcus faecium,Enterococcus hirae,and Paeniclostridium sordellii as most common isolates.Moreover,7 potential beneficial gut bacteria isolated showed certain inhibition to 5 common pathogenic bacteria.Conclusions:Our findings broaden and deepen the understanding of Himalayan Griffons'gut microbiome,and highlighted the importance of gut microbiome-mediated adaptation to scavenging habits.In particular,our results highlighted the protective role of gut beneficial bacteria in the Himalayan Griffons against pathogenic bacteria that appear in rotten food resources.Wen Wang Xiaolong Gao Sisi Zheng Zhuoma Lancuo Ying Li Lilin Zhu Jianping Hou Jiayi Hai Xin Long Hanxi Chen Alexey Druzyaka Kirill Sharshov 2021Avian Research2021,12,4:1
6A bright two-photon fluorescent probe for real-time monitoring autophagy in living cells显示文摘A novel donor-acceptor(D-A) type of two-photon(TP) fluorescent probe,i.e.Lyso-OSC,based on the lysosome-targeting morpholine group was developed.The polarity sensing coumarin group was functionalized as the acceptor and the 1-vinyl-4-methoxybenzene group was engineered as the donor.The fluorescence intensity and emission maximum wavelength of Lyso-OSC are highly sensitive to the polarity changes of solvent.The two-photon absorption cross-section and tissue penetration depth are up to 254 GM and 150 μm,respectively.The strong fluorescence,high sensitivity to polarity,low cytotoxicity,and accurate lysosome-targeting ability entail Lyso-OSC the excellent performance in detecting the polarity changes ofcellular environment.To this end,a bright,real-time imaging autophagy of living cells has been achieved.Chuankun Jiang Longchun Li Jiacheng Jiang Lilin Hou Gemin Fang Haizhu Yu Xiangming Meng 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,2:1
7Research on Flexible GaInP/GaInAs/Ge/Bi2Te3/Sb2Te3 PV-TE Integrated Systems显示文摘An optimal structure design of the lattice mismatched GaInP/GaInAs/Ge solar cell with high photoelectric conversion efficiency was proposed. Two-dimensional Bi2Te3/Sb2Te3 nanosheets were prepared by solvothermal synthesis method used as thermoelectric(TE) functional materials, which is further hybrid with high conductive reduced graphene oxide(rGO) and carbon nanotubes(CNTs). TE film was then fabricated based on above materials. The power factor of the n-type TE film is 19.31 μW/mK2, and the power factor of the p-type TE film is 97.40 μW/mK2. The flexible TE device was integrated with flexible solar cell. Compared with the single photovoltaic(PV) cell, the efficiency of the as-prepared flexible integrated device measured under the AM1.5 illumination is significantly improved. The efficiency of the two parallel tests is increased from 27.26% and 26.59%, to 29.11% and 28.92%, respectively. 8Absorptive root-multidimension strategy links air temperature and species distribution in a montane forest显示文摘Background: Air temperature affects absorptive root traits, which are closely related to species distribution.However, it is still unclear how air temperature regulates species distribution through changes in absorptive root traits. Seven functional traits of the absorptive roots of 240 individuals of 52 species, soil properties and air temperature were measured along an elevational gradient on Mt. Fanjingshan, Tongren City, Guizhou, and then the direct and indirect effects of these controls on species distribution were detected.Results: Absorptive roots adapted to air temperature with two strategies. The first strategy was positively associated with the specific root area(SRA) and specific root length(SRL) and was negatively associated with the root tissue density(RTD), representing the classic root economics spectrum(RES). The second strategy was represented by the trade-off between root diameter, mycorrhizal fungi colonization(MF) and SRL, representing the collaboration gradient with “do it yourself” resource uptake ranging from “outsourcing” to mycorrhizal resource uptake. Air temperature regulated species distribution in six ways: directly reducing species importance value;indirectly increasing the species importance value by reducing soil nitrogen content or increasing soil pH by reducing soil moisture inducing absorptive roots to change from “do it yourself” resource absorption to “outsourcing” resource absorption;indirectly decreasing the species importance value by decreasing soil moisture to change from“outsourcing”resource absorption to “do it yourself” resource absorption;indirectly increasing the species importance value with increasing soil pH by reducing soil moisture resulting in absorptive root traits turning into nutrient foraging traits;and indirectly decreasing the species importance value by promoting absorptive root traits to nutrient conservation traits.Conclusions: Absorptive root traits play a crucial role in the regulation of species distribution through multiapproaches of air temperature.Zuhua Wang Min Liu Long Li Jianwei Hou Xiaodong Zhang Haibo Li Chuandong Yang Lilin Yang 2023Forest Ecosystems2023,10,3:0
