2The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 4Protective effects of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived conditioned medium on ovarian damage显示文摘Chemotherapeutic agents are extensively used to treat malignancies.However,chemotherapy-induced ovarian damage and reduced fertility are severe side effects.Recently,stem cell transplantation has been reported to be an effective strategy for premature ovarian insufficiency(POI)treatment,but safety can still be an issue in stem cell-based therapy.Here,we show the protective effects of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived conditioned medium(hUCMSC-CM)on a cisplatin(Cs)-induced ovarian injury model.hUCMSC-CM can relieve Cs-induced depletion of follicles and preserve fertility.In addition,hUCMSC-CM can decrease apoptosis of oocytes and granulosa cells induced by Cs.RNA sequencing analysis reveals the differentially expressed genes of ovaries after Cs and hUCMSC-CM treatments,including genes involved in cell apoptosis.Furthermore,we show that the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF)/phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase B(Akt)pathway plays an important role in protecting granulosa cells from Cs-induced apoptosis.Together,we confirm the protective effects of hUCMSC-CM on ovarian reserve and fertility in mice treated with Cs,highlighting the remarkable therapeutic effects of hUCMSC-CM.Liming Hong Long Yan Zhimin Xin Jie Hao Wenjing Liu Shuyu Wang Shujie Liao Hongmei Wang Xiaokui Yang 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,5:7
5Determining the fluorescent components in drilling fluid by using NMR method显示文摘Fluorescent additives can reduce drilling operation risks, especially during high angle deviated well drilling and when managing stuck pipe problems. However, they can affect oil discovery and there is a need to reduce the level of fluorescents or change the drilling fluids to prevent loss of drilling velocity and efficiency. In this paper, based on the analysis of drilling fluids by NMR with high sensitivity, solid and liquid additives have been analyzed under conditions with different fluorescent levels and temperatures. The results show that all of the solid additives have no NMR signal, and therefore cannot affect oil discovery during drilling. For the liquid additives with different oil products, the characterizations can be quantified and evaluated through a T2 cumulated spectrum, oil peak(T2g), and oil content of the drilling fluids. 7Fast algorithm based on triplet Markov fields for unsupervised multi-class segmentation of SAR images显示文摘Non-Gaussian triplet Markov fields (TMF) model is suitable for dealing with multi-class segmentation of non-stationary and non-Gaussian synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images.Considering the complexity of the model and algorithm,as well as the requirement of real-time,and robust and efficient processing of SAR images,a fast algorithm based on TMF for unsupervised multi-class segmentation of SAR images is proposed in this paper.For the speckle noise in SAR images,numerical characteristic,threshold selection and QuadTree decomposition criterion are researched firstly.With the new method,a SAR image can quickly be mapped into an edge-based pixon-representation,which results in a coarse decomposition in smooth regions,and a fine decomposition in edges.Then by combining TMF model with the pixon-representation of SAR image,a new potential energy function of TMF based on pixon-representation is derived.Finally,the segmentation is finished by Bayesian maximum posterior mode (MPM).The effectiveness of the fast TMF algorithm is demonstrated by applying it to simulated data and real SAR images.WU Yan WANG Xin XIAO Ping GAN Lu LIU ChunYan LIMing 2011Science China(Information Sciences)2011,54,7:4
83D Two-way Coupled TEHD Analysis on the Lubricating Characteristics of Thrust Bearings in Pump-turbine Units by Combining CFD and FEA显示文摘The thermal elastic hydro dynamic(TEHD) lubrication analysis for the thrust bearing is usually conducted by combining Reynolds equation with finite element analysis(FEA). But it is still a problem to conduct the computation by combining computational fluid dynamics(CFD) and FEA which can simulate the TEHD more accurately. In this paper, by using both direct and separate coupled solutions together, steady TEHD lubrication considering the viscosity-temperature effect for a bidirectional thrust bearing in a pump-turbine unit is simulated combining a 3D CFD model for the oil film with a 3D FEA model for the pad and mirror plate. Cyclic symmetry condition is used in the oil film flow as more reasonable boundary conditions which avoids the oil temperature assumption at the leading and trailing edge. Deformations of the pad and mirror plate are predicted and discussed as well as the distributions of oil film thickness, pressure, temperature. The predicted temperature shows good agreement with measurements, while the pressure shows a reasonable distribution comparing with previous studies. Further analysis of the three-coupled-field reveals the reason of the high pressure and high temperature generated in the film. Finally, the influence of rotational speed of the mirror plate on the lubrication characteristics is illustrated which shows the thrust load should be balanced against the oil film temperature and pressure in optimized designs. 9Partial aortic root remodeling for root reconstruction in patients with acute type A dissection显示文摘In the present study,we reported our experience with partial aortic root remodeling for root reconstruction in patients with acute type A dissection,which involves in non-coronary sinus and/or the right coronary sinus with just one trimmed Dacron graft.Between February 2001 and May 2010,we performed partial aortic root remodeling in 40 patients,who underwent emergency surgical intervention.The dissected sinuses were excised leaving a3-5 mm rim of the aortic wall from the attached aortic valve cusps.A short piece(4-5 cm) of collagen coated woven polyester vascular prosthesis was trimmed with one or two 'tongues' to reconstruct the non-coronary sinus and/or the right coronary sinus,but without using separated patches.Additional procedures were including hemi-arch replacement in 11 patients,and total arch replacement plus stent-elephant trunk in 20 patients.The mean follow-up time was 36.4±3.6 months.In-hospital mortality was only 5.0%(2/40);furthermore,3(8.6%) patients underwent re-operation of the aortic valve and 2(5.7%) patients died during follow-up.At the end of follow-up,trivial or no aortic regurgitation was found in 33 patients,but mild aortic regurgitation was found in 2 patients.Our data suggest that the early and mid-term results of partial aortic root remodeling were favorable,and it restored valve durability and function.Thus,the use of technique for root reconstruction in patients with acute type A dissection should be vigorously encouraged.Fuhua Huang Liangpeng Li Wei Qin Cunhua Su Liming Wang Liqiong Xiao Xin Chen 2016The Journal of Biomedical Research2016,30,5:3

12Constructing an unbalanced structure toward high working voltage for improving energy density of non-aqueous carbon-based electrochemical capacitors显示文摘The energy density of non-aqueous carbon-based electrochemical capacitors(cEC)is mainly determined by the specific capacitance and operational voltage range.In this study,we propose to construct an unbalanced structure to make full use of stable voltage range for improving energy density.The stable voltage range is firstly carefully explored using cyclic voltammetry.Then an unbalanced carbon-based electrochemical capacitor(ucEC)is constructed with an optimized positive electrode to negative electrode weight ratio and voltage range.Its electrochemical performance is comprehensively investigated,including energy density,power density as well as cycle life.The ucEC is capable to deliver an improved energy density up to 64.9 Wh/kg(1.4 times as high as a general cEC)without sacrificing the power density and cycle life.The electrode properties after cycling are also analyzed,illustrating the change of electrode potential caused by unbalanced structure.The proposed structure demonstrates a great potential for improving the energy density at little cost of electrode design and cell configuration.Junsheng Zheng Nan Qin Liming Jin Xin Guo Chao Shen Qiang Wu Jim PZheng 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,3:2

14Automatic test report augmentation to assist crowdsourced testing显示文摘In crowdsourced mobile application testing, workers are often inexperienced in and unfamiliar with software testing. Meanwhile, workers edit test reports in descriptive natural language on mobile devices. Thus, these test reports generally lack important details and challenge developers in understanding the bugs. To improve the quality of inspected test reports, we issue a new problem of test report augmentation by leveraging the additional useful information contained in duplicate test reports. In this paper, we propose a new framework named test report augmentation framework (TRAF) towards resolving the problem. First, natural language processing (NLP) techniques are adopted to preprocess the crowdsourced test reports. Then, three strategies are proposed to augment the environments, inputs, and descriptions of the inspected test reports, respectively. Finally, we visualize the augmented test reports to help developers distinguish the added information. To evaluate TRAF, we conduct experiments over five industrial datasets with 757 crowdsourced test reports. Experimental results show that TRAF can recommend relevant inputs to augment the inspected test reports with 98.49% in terms of NDCG and 88.65% in terms of precision on average, and identify valuable sentences from the descriptions of duplicates to augment the inspected test reports with 83.58% in terms of precision, 77.76% in terms of recall, and 78.72% in terms of F-measure on average. 16Virus-inspired surface-nanoengineered antimicrobial liposome:A potential system to simultaneously achieve high activity and selectivity显示文摘Enveloped viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 frequently have a highly infectious nature and are considered effective natural delivery systems exhibiting high efficiency and specificity.Since simultaneously enhancing the activity and selectivity of lipopeptides is a seemingly unsolvable problem for conventional chemistry and pharmaceutical approaches,we present a biomimetic strategy to construct lipopeptide-based mimics of viral architectures and infections to enhance their antimicrobial efficacy while avoiding side effects.Herein,a surface-nanoengineered antimicrobial liposome(SNAL)is developed with the morphological features of enveloped viruses,including a moderate size range,lipid-based membrane structure,and highly lipopeptide-enriched bilayer surface.The SNAL possesses virus-like infection to bacterial cells,which can mediate high-efficiency and high-selectivity bacteria binding,rapidly attack and invade bacteria via plasma membrane fusion pathway,and induce a local“burst”release of lipopeptide to produce irreversible damage of cell membrane.Remarkably,viral mimics are effective against multiple pathogens with low minimum inhibitory concentrations(1.6-6.3μg mL1),high bactericidal efficiency of>99%within 2 h,>10-fold enhanced selectivity over free lipopeptide,99.8%reduction in skin MRSA load after a single treatment,and negligible toxicity.This bioinspired design has significant potential to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of lipopeptides and may create new opportunities for designing next-generation antimicrobials.Yin Shi Xiaoqian Feng Liming Lin Jing Wang Jiaying Chi Biyuan Wu Guilin Zhou Feiyuan Yu Qian Xu Daojun Liu Guilan Quan Chao Lu Xin Pan Jianfeng Cai Chuanbin Wu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:1

19UV light absorbers executing synergistic effects of passivating defects and improving photostability for efficient perovskite photovoltaics显示文摘Metal halide perovskite-based solar cells(PSCs) have rapidly-increased power conversion efficiency(PCE)exceeding 25% but poor stability especially under ultraviolet(UV) light. Meanwhile, non-radiative recombination caused by diverse defects in perovskite absorbers and related interfaces is one of the major factors confining further development of PSCs. In this study, we systematically investigate the role of 2-(2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)benzotriazole(UVP) additive in perovskite layers. By adjusting the amount of doped UVP, the quality of perovskite absorbers is significantly improved with enlarged grains, longer lifetime and diffusion length of charge carriers. Furthermore, UVP not only reduces defects for less nonradiative recombination, but also matches energy level alignment for efficient interfacial charge extraction. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirms that N-donor of UVP molecule coordinates with undercoordinated Pb^(2+) on the surface. Interestingly, UVP incorporated in PbI_(2) protects the perovskite by absorbing UV through the opening and closing of the chelating ring. Eventually, the UVP treated PSCs obtain a champion PCE of 22.46% with remarkably enhanced UV stability, retaining over 90% of initial PCE after 60 m W/cm^(2) strong UV irradiation for 9 h while the control maintaining only 74%.
