| 2 | Surface-deformation monitoring in the permafrost regions over the Tibetan Plateau,using Sentinel-1 data显示文摘Differential Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(D-In SAR) has been widely used to measure surface deformation over the Tibetan Plateau. However, the accuracy and applicability of the D-In SAR method are not well estimated due to the lack of in-situ validation. In this paper, we mapped the seasonal and long-term displacement of Tanggula(TGL) and Liangdaohe(LDH) permafrost regions with a stack of Sentinel-1 acquisitions using the Small Baseline Subset In SAR(SBAS-In SAR) method. In the TGL region, with its dry soils and sparse vegetation, the In SAR-derived surface-deformation trend was consistent with ground-based leveling results; long-term changes of the active layer showed a settlement rate of around 1 to 3 mm/a due to the melting of ground ice, indicating a degrading permafrost in this area. Around half of the deformation was picked up on monitoring, in contrast with in-situ measurements in LDH, implying that the D-In SAR method remarkably underestimated the surface-deformation. This phenomenon may be induced by the large soil-water content, high vegetation coverage, or a combination of these two factors in this region. | 3 | Electrochemical performance of polygonized carbon nanofibers as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Carbon nanofibers with a polygonal cross section(P-CNFs) synthesized using a catalytic chemical vapor deposition(CCVD) technology have been investigated for potential applications in lithium batteries as anode materials.P-CNFs exhibit excellent high-rate capabilities.At a current density as high as 3.7 and7.4 A/g,P-CNFs can still deliver a reversible capacity of 198.4 and 158.2 mAh/g,respectively.To improve their first coulombic efficiency,carbon-coated P-CNFs were prepared through thermal vapor deposition(TVD) of benzene at 900℃.The electrochemical results demonstrate that appropriate amount of carbon coating can improve the first coulombic efficiency,the cycling stability and the rate performance of P-CNFs.After carbon coating,P-CNFs gain a weight increase approximately by 103 wt%,with its first coulombic efficiency increasing from 63.1 to 78.4%,and deliver a reversible capacity of 197.4 mAh/g at a current density of 3.7 A/g.After dozens of cycles,there is no significant capacity degradation at both low and high current densities. | Jinjin Jiang xiaolin Tang Rui Wu Haoqiang Lin Meizhen Qu | 2013 | Particuology2013,11,4: | 2 |

| 6 | Giant nonlinear Hall effect in twisted bilayer WSe_(2)显示文摘The recently discovered nonlinear Hall effect(NHE)in a few non-interacting systems provides a novel mechanism for generating second-harmonic electrical Hall signals under time-reversal-symmetric conditions.Here,we introduce a new approach to engineering an NHE by using twisted moiréstructures.We found that the twisted WSe_(2)bilayer exhibited an NHE when the Fermi level was tuned to the moiréflat bands.When the first moiréband was half-filled,the nonlinear Hall signal exhibited a sharp peak with a generation efficiency that was at least two orders of magnitude greater than those obtained in previous experiments.We discuss the possible origins of the diverging generation efficiency in twisted WSe_(2)based on resistivity measurements,such as moiré-interface-induced correlation effects and mass-diverging-type continuous Mot transition.This study demonstrates not only how interaction effects can combine with Berry curvature dipoles to produce novel quantum phenomena,but also the potential of NHE measurements as a new tool for studying quantum criticality. | Meizhen Huang Zefei Wu Jinxin Hu Xiangbin Cai En Li Liheng An Xuemeng Feng Ziqing Ye Nian Lin Kam Tuen Law Ning Wang | 2023 | National Science Review2023,10,4: | 0 |
| 7 | Gold nanoparticles-embedded ceria with enhanced antioxidant activities for treating inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘The excessive reactive oxygen species(ROS)is a hallmark associated with the initiation and progression of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),which execrably form a vicious cycle of ROS and inflammation to continually promote disease progression.Here,the gold nanoparticles-embedded ceria nanoparticles(Au/CeO_(2))with enhanced antioxidant activities are designed to block this cycle reaction for treating IBD by scavenging overproduced ROS.The Au/CeO_(2) with core-shell and porous structure exhibits significantly higher enzymatic catalytic activities compared with commercial ceria nanoparticles,likely due to the effective exposure of catalytic sites,higher content of Ce(III)and oxygen vacancy,and accelerated reduction from Ce(IV)to Ce(III).Being coated with negatively-charged hyaluronic acid,the Au/CeO_(2)@HA facilitates accumulation in inflamed colon tissues via oral administration,reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines,and effectively alleviates colon injury in colitis mice.Overall,the Au/CeO_(2)@HA with good biocompatibility is a promising nano-therapeutic for treating IBD. | Mingyi Li Jia Liu Lin Shi Cheng Zhou Meizhen Zou Daan Fu Ye Yuan Chundong Yao Lifang Zhang Sumei Qin Miaodeng Liu Qian Cheng Zheng Wang Lin Wang | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,7: | 0 |
