1PVT v2:Improved baselines with Pyramid Vision Transformer显示文摘Transformers have recently lead to encouraging progress in computer vision.In this work,we present new baselines by improving the original Pyramid Vision Transformer(PVT v1)by adding three designs:(i)a linear complexity attention layer,(ii)an overlapping patch embedding,and(iii)a convolutional feed-forward network.With these modifications,PVT v2 reduces the computational complexity of PVT v1 to linearity and provides significant improvements on fundamental vision tasks such as classification,detection,and segmentation.In particular,PVT v2 achieves comparable or better performance than recent work such as the Swin transformer.We hope this work will facilitate state-ofthe-art transformer research in computer vision.Code is available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460as0x6cu6pwkv6n6bw6.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/whai362/PVT.Wenhai Wang Enze Xie Xiang Li Deng-Ping Fan Kaitao Song Ding Liang Tong Lu Ping Luo Ling Shao 2022Computational Visual Media2022,8,3:30
2Expression of E-selectin, integrinβ_1 and immunoglobulin superfamily member in human gastric carcinoma cells and its clinicopathologic significance显示文摘AIM: To study the expression levels of E- selectin, integrinβ1 and immunoglobulin supperfamily member-intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in human gastric carcinoma cells, and to explore the relationship between these three kinds of cell adhesion molecules and gastric carcinoma. METHODS: The serum contents of E-selectin, integrinβ1 and ICAM-1 were detected by enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay (ELISA), in 47 healthy individuals (control group) and in 57 patients with gastric carcinoma (gastric carcinoma group) respectively prior to operation and 7 d after operation. RESULTS: The serum E-selectin, ECAM-1 and integrinβ1 were found to be expressed in both control and gastric carcinoma groups. However, they were highly expressed in patients with gastric carcinoma patients before operation or with unresectable tumours. The expression levels of ICAM-1 and integrinβ1 were significantly higher in gastric carcinoma patients than in controls (P < 0.01). A comparison of the E-selectin levels between the two groups showed statistically insignificant differnce (P = 0.64). In addition, the expression levels were all decreased substantially in the postoperative patients subjected to radical resection of the tumours, indicating that the high level expressions of these compounds might be the important factor for predicting the prognosis of these patients. 6Panax notoginseng saponins prevent colitis-associated colorectal cancer development: the role of gut microbiota显示文摘Gut microbiota dysbiosis is a risk factor for colorectal cancer(CRC) in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).In this study, the effects of Panax notoginseng saponins(PNS) on colitis-associated CRC progression were evaluated on an azoxymethane(AOM)/dextran sulfate sodium(DSS) mouse model.In vivo, PNS significantly relieved AOM/DSS-induced colon tumorigenesis and development by reducing the disease activity index(DAI) scores and colon tumor load.The 16S rRNA data of fecal samples showed that the microbiome community was obviously destructed, while PNS could recover the richness and diversity of gut microbiota.Especially, PNS could increase the abundance of Akkermansia spp.which was significantly decreased in model group and negatively correlated with the progression of CRC.Moreover, ginsenoside compound K(GC-K) was evaluated on the effects of human CRC cells,which was the main bio-transformed metabolite of PNS by gut microbiota.Our data showed that PNS played important role in the prevention of the progression of CRC, due to their regulation on the microbiome balance and microbial bio-converted product with antiCRC activity.CHEN Ling CHEN Man-Yun SHAO Li ZHANG Wei RAO Tai ZHOU Hong-Hao HUANG Wei-Hua 2020Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2020,18,7:12
7INTERFACIAL ADHESION AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF PMMA-COATED CaCO_(3)NANOPARTICLE REINFORCED PVC COMPOSITES显示文摘Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)-coated nano-CaCO3 particles were prepared by in-situ emulsion po- lymerization. The mechanical properties of nano-CaCO3 particles-reinforced PVC were investigated using an AG-2000A universal testing machine and an XJU-2.75 izod impact tester; interfacial adhesion between CaCO3 nanoparticles and PVC matrix by SEM, and structure of PMMA coated on the surface of CaCO3 by FTIR and H-NMR. The results indicate 1 that the PMMA coated on the nano CaCO3 particles consists mainly of syndiotactic structure, and their three tacticity contents were rr 52.8%, mm 7.3% and mr 39.9%, respectively. The interfacial adhesion between CaCO3 nanoparticles and PVC matrix was significantly improved when the CaCO3 nanoparticles were coated with PMMA, which led to in- creased Young’s moduli and tensile strengths of the PMMA-coated CaCO3/PVC composites. 14Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Lung Cancer Patients显示文摘The prevalence of malnutrition is high among oncology patients in China. Although the Patient- Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is widely recognized as an important nutritional assessment tool, it has not been validated for Chinese cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of nutrition screening and assessment data to validate the Chinese version of the PG-SGA in Chinese patients with lung cancer. This was an observational, cross-sectional study of 2,000 consecutive adult patients with lung cancer treated at several tertiary hospitals in China. Anthropometric and patient descriptive data were collected. The PG-SGA generated a score for the nutritional risk and a global rating for the nutritional status. The internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity were evaluated, and a known-groups comparison and principal component analyses were conducted to evaluate the reliability and validity of the PG-SGA. The known-groups comparison demonstrated the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate lung cancer patients of different nutritional and body mass index (BMI) groups. A confirmatory factor analysis supported the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. In terms of the internal and external consistency, the PG-SGA demonstrated intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) up to 0.987. Alternative form validity was also demonstrated between Box 4 of the PG-SGA and the Karnofsky Performance Status score, with excellent external consistency (r = 0.972, P < 0.001). The construct validity was supported, and selected questionnaire dimensions were evident in the principal component analysis. Significant Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were demonstrated. The Chinese version of the PG-SGA demonstrated significant reliability and sufficient exploratory properties to support its validity. It seems to be a valid tool that can be used to access the nutritional status of Chinese lung cancer patients. 17Effect of low-level laser therapy on tooth-related pain and somatosensory function evoked by orthodontic treatment显示文摘Low-level laser therapy(LLLT) may have an effect on the pain associated with orthodontic treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of LLLT on pain and somatosensory sensitization induced by orthodontic treatment. Forty individuals(12–33 years old; mean ± standard deviations: 20.8 ± 5.9 years) scheduled to receive orthodontic treatment were randomly divided into a laser group(LG) or a placebo group(PG)(1:1). The LG received LLLT(810-nm gallium-aluminium-arsenic diode laser in continuous mode with the power set at 400 mW, 2 J·cm–2) at 0 h, 2 h, 24 h, 4 d, and 7 d after treatment, and the PG received inactive treatment at the same time points. In both groups, the non-treated side served as a control. A numerical rating scale(NRS) of pain, pressure pain thresholds(PPTs), cold detection thresholds(CDTs), warmth detection thresholds(WDTs), cold pain thresholds(CPTs), and heat pain thresholds(HPTs) were tested on both sides at the gingiva and canine tooth and on the hand. The data were analysed by a repeated measures analysis of variance(ANOVA). The NRS pain scores were significantly lower in the LG group(P = 0.01). The CDTs,CPTs, WDTs, HPTs, and PPTs at the gingiva and the PPTs at the canine tooth were significantly less sensitive on the treatment side of the LG compared with that of the PG(P < 0.033). The parameters tested also showed significantly less sensitivity on the nontreatment side of the LG compared to that of the PG(P < 0.043). There were no differences between the groups for any quantitative sensory testing(QST) measures of the hand. The application of LLLT appears to reduce the pain and sensitivity of the tooth and gingiva associated with orthodontic treatment and may have contralateral effects within the trigeminal system but no generalized QST effects. 18Location Prediction on Trajectory Data: A Review显示文摘Location prediction is the key technique in many location based services including route navigation, dining location recommendations, and traffic planning and control, to mention a few. This survey provides a comprehensive overview of location prediction, including basic definitions and concepts, algorithms, and applications. First, we introduce the types of trajectory data and related basic concepts. Then, we review existing location-prediction methods, ranging from temporal-pattern-based prediction to spatiotemporal-pattern-based prediction. 19Ganoderic acid alleviates chemotherapy-induced fatigue in mice bearing colon tumor显示文摘Chemotherapy-related fatigue(CRF)is increasingly being recognized as one of the severe symptoms in patients undergoing chemotherapy,which not only largely reduces the quality of life in patients,but also diminishes their physical and social function.At present,there is no effective drug for preventing and treating CRF.Ganoderic acid(GA),isolated from traditional Chinese medicine Ganoderma lucidum,has shown a variety of pharmacological activities such as anti-tumor,anti-inflammation,immunoregulation,etc.In this study,we investigated whether GA possessed anti-fatigue activity against CRF.CT26 tumor-bearing mice were treated with 5-fluorouracil(5-FU,30 mg/kg)and GA(50 mg/kg)alone or in combination for 18 days.Peripheral and central fatigue-related behaviors,energy metabolism and inflammatory factors were assessed.We demonstrated that co-administration of GA ameliorated 5-FU-induced peripheral muscle fatigue-like behavior via improving muscle quality and mitochondria function,increasing glycogen content and ATP production,reducing lactic acid content and LDH activity,and inhibiting p-AMPK,IL-6 and TNF-αexpression in skeletal muscle.Co-administration of GA also retarded the 5-FU-induced central fatigue-like behavior accompanied by down-regulating the expression of IL-6,iNOS and COX2 in the hippocampus through inhibiting TLR4/Myd88/NF-κB pathway.These results suggest that GA could attenuate 5-FU-induced peripheral and central fatigue in tumor-bearing mice,which provides evidence for GA as a potential drug for treatment of CRF in clinic.Abudumijiti Abulizi Ling Hu Ang Ma Fang-yu Shao Hui-ze Zhu Si-mei Lin Guang-ying Shao Yue Xu Jian-hua Ran Jing Li Hong Zhou Dong-mei Lin Lian-fu Wang Min Li Bao-xue Yang 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,10:5
20Ethnic Differences in Preterm Birth Risks for Pregnant Women with Thyroid Dysfunction or Autoimmunity:A Meta-analysis显示文摘Objective Abnormal maternal thyroid function is associated with preterm birth.However,this association stays dubious in relevant individual studies for ethnic difference reasons and lack of direct supporting data.This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between preterm birth and thyroid dysfunction or autoimmunity based on ethnic differences.Methods Relevant studies were identified through searches of MEDLINE,Excerpta Medica,Wan Fang,China Biological Medicine disc,and China National Knowledge Infrastructure from inception to June 15,2016.Original articles in which an incidence or prevalence of thyroid dysfunction or autoimmunity before second trimester of pregnancy could be extracted were included.Results Thirty-two unique studies were included for the final meta-analysis.Patients involved were divided into two groups:Group 1(G1) and Group 2(G2) comprising of Asian and Caucasian populations,respectively.Positive thyroid antibodies were associated with the occurrence of preterm birth in both G1 [odds ratio(OR):3.62,95% confidence interval(CI):2.83-4.65] and G2(OR:1.35,95% CI:1.17-1.56);hypothyroidism,only in G2(OR:1.20,CI:1.09-1.33);and subclinical hypothyroidism or hypothyroxinemia,in neither group.Conclusion Thyroid autoimmunity may be a more favorable factor leading to preterm birth among pregnant women of different ethnicities,compared with thyroid dysfunction.LI Min WANG Shao Wei WU Feng Li SHI Jin YU Pu Lin PENG Xiu Ling SUN Liang 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,10:5
