Malnutrition and Quality of Life in Chinese Cancer Patients: a Clinical Study of 23,994 Subjects显示文摘Background Malnutrition is common in patients with cancer, and can negatively impact their quality of life(QoL)and even survival. However, there is currently no large data available on the prevalence of malnutrition in Chinese cancer patients. This study evaluated the prevalence of malnutrition and the QoL of Chinese patients with locoregional, recurrent or metastatic cancer. Methods We conducted a nationwide observational,multi-center,hospital-based cross-sectional study within the Chinese Society of Nutritional Oncology(CSNO)Network. All of the patients were diagnosed with one of the following 18 different types of malignant tumors:lung cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, esophageal cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, malignant lymphoma, leukemia, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, brain cancer, biliary tract malignant tumors or gastrointestinal stromal tumors. These patients were enrolled from 72 hospitals located in different regions of China. The patients’nutritional status was evaluated based on the body mass index(BMI),loss of bodyweight, laboratory measurements and patient generated-subjective global assessment(PG-SGA)scores.The cancer patients’physical status and QoL were assessed by the Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)questionnaire and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer(EORTC)QLQ-C30 questionnaire, respectively. Results From December 2013 to April 2016,23,994 patients hospitalized for cancer treatment(such as surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy)were enrolled in the study. The patients included 12,494(52.9%)males and 11,124(47.1%)females.The mean age was 55.8±13.7 years. The proportions of patients in cancer stagesⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳand uncertain were 11.5%,20.3%,27.5%,30.2%and 10.5%,respectively.Among the 23,994 inpatients, the proportions of patients who were underweight(BMI<18.5 kg/m2),normal(18.5 kg/m2Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Zhen Ming Fu Chang Wang Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Fu Xiang Zhou Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Min Weng Qing Hua Yao Jiu Wei Cui Wei Li Han Ping Shi the Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers(INSCOC)Group 2021Journal of Nutritional Oncology2021,6,1:8
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Lung Cancer Patients显示文摘The prevalence of malnutrition is high among oncology patients in China. Although the Patient- Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is widely recognized as an important nutritional assessment tool, it has not been validated for Chinese cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of nutrition screening and assessment data to validate the Chinese version of the PG-SGA in Chinese patients with lung cancer. This was an observational, cross-sectional study of 2,000 consecutive adult patients with lung cancer treated at several tertiary hospitals in China. Anthropometric and patient descriptive data were collected. The PG-SGA generated a score for the nutritional risk and a global rating for the nutritional status. The internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity were evaluated, and a known-groups comparison and principal component analyses were conducted to evaluate the reliability and validity of the PG-SGA. The known-groups comparison demonstrated the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate lung cancer patients of different nutritional and body mass index (BMI) groups. A confirmatory factor analysis supported the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. In terms of the internal and external consistency, the PG-SGA demonstrated intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) up to 0.987. Alternative form validity was also demonstrated between Box 4 of the PG-SGA and the Karnofsky Performance Status score, with excellent external consistency (r = 0.972, P < 0.001). The construct validity was supported, and selected questionnaire dimensions were evident in the principal component analysis. Significant Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were demonstrated. The Chinese version of the PG-SGA demonstrated significant reliability and sufficient exploratory properties to support its validity. It seems to be a valid tool that can be used to access the nutritional status of Chinese lung cancer patients. The validity of the PG-SGA in Chinese cancer patients warrants further investigation in other cancer types.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2016Journal of Nutritional Oncology2016,1,1:7
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Gastric Cancer Patients显示文摘Purpose Malnutrition is severe among gastric cancer patients in China. While the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is a widely used nutritional assessment tool, the validation for Chinese patients with gastric cancer has not been performed yet. The aim of this research is to validate the Chinese version of the PGSGA in Chinese gastric cancer patients by conducting analyses of nutrition screening and assessment data. Methods Two thousand consecutive adult patients with gastric cancer were included in this observational, cross-sectional study in several tertiary hospitals in China. A survey was made among those patients, which included several questionnaires and some anthropometric parameters. We calculated the parameters to validate the use of PG-SGA categorizing the nutritional status of gastric cancer patients. Then we performed statistical analysis to evaluate the internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity. Results This study verified the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate gastric cancer patients into different nutritional groups. The confirmatory factor analysis verified the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. The internal and external consistency was measured by a concordance analysis which showed an intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) of 0.987. The correlations of the Box 4 score with the Karnofsky performance status score demonstrated alternative form validity with good external consistency (Pearson, r = 0.643, P < 0.001). All three anthropometric dimensions of the PG-SGA were supported by principal component analysis. Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were significant in the majority of tests. Conclusion The Chinese version of the PG-SGA is a valid tool to access the patients’ nutritional status for Chinese gastric patients.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2018Journal of Nutritional Oncology2018,3,4:5

Extension Protocol for the Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Patients with Common Cancers in China(INSCOC)Study:2021 update显示文摘Background Malnutrition is common in patients with cancer, and this adversely affects the survival and quality of life of patients.Chinese Society for Nutritional Oncology issued a multi-center,large-scale,long-term follow-up prospective study, the Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Patients with Common Cancers in China(INSCOC study)since 2013.This is an extension to the previous 2013-2020 study protocol. This study still sought to:①address the prognostic impact of nutritional factors and quality of life on cancer patient survival;②describe the overall and cancer-specific incidence and/or distribution of malnutrition and different measurements of patient quality of life. Methods and study design This is an observational,multi-centered,hospital-based prospective cohort study.Data collection will be performed at baseline(within 48 hours after patient admission),during the hospital stay and 30 days after hospital admission.Follow-up will be conducted for 1-20 years after enrollment. The primary outcome will be the all-cause mortality/overall survival, and secondary outcomes will be the length of hospital stay and costs of hospitalization.Study factors will include demographic characteristics, tumor characteristics, information about chronic diseases, hematological measurements(e.g.,red blood cell count, total lymphocyte counts,hemoglobin,albumin,prealbumin,creatinine,C-reactive protein,IL-6),anthropometric measurements(e.g.,height,weight,arm circumference, arm muscle circumference, triceps skinfold thickness, and waist circumference),body composition parameters,PG-SGA scores, quality of life(as indicated by the QLQ-C30 questionnaire),muscle mass(as indicated by the calf circumference),muscle strength(as indicated by the handgrip strength),muscle function(as indicated by the six-meter walking speed test)and physical status assessments(as indicated by the Karnofsky Performance Status scores). This clinical study protocol was approved by local Ethics Committees of all the participating hospitals.Written informed consent is required for each subject included.Discussion This multi-center,large-scale,long-term follow up prospective study will help improve the diagnosis of malnutrition in cancer patients and identify the risk factors associated with adverse clinical outcomes. The anticipated results of this study will highlight the need for a truly scientific appraisal of nutrition therapy in Chinese oncology populations, and finally help treat the potentially reversible elements of malnutrition in cancer patients to improve their clinical outcomes in the future.Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Liang Yu Yin Chang Wang Zhen Ming Fu Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Fu Xiang Zhou Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Zhi Kang Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Xiang Hua Wu Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Min Weng Qing Hua Yao Ya Yin Yu Quan Jun Lyu Hong Qiu Ming Liu Wei Li Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers(INSCOC)Group 2022Journal of Nutritional Oncology2022,7,2:3
The MING proposal at SHINE:megahertz cavity enhanced X‑ray generation显示文摘The cavity-based X-ray free-electron laser(XFEL)has promise in producing fully coherent pulses with a bandwidth of a few meV and very stable intensity, whereas the currently existing self-amplified spontaneous emission(SASE)XFEL is capable of generating ultra-short pulses with chaotic spectra. In general,a cavity-based XFEL can provide a spectral brightness three orders of magnitude higher than that of the SASE mode, thereby opening a new door for cutting-edge scientific research. With the development of superconducting MHz repetition-rate XFEL facilities such as FLASH,European-XFEL,LCLS-II,and SHINE,practical cavity-based XFEL operations are becoming increasingly achievable. In this study, megahertz cavity enhanced X-ray generation(MING)is proposed based on China’s first hard XFEL facility-SHINE,which we refer to as MING@SHINE.Nan‑Shun Huang Zi‑Peng Liu Bang‑Jie Deng Zi‑Han Zhu Shao‑Hua Li Tao Liu Zheng Qi Jia‑Wei Yan Wei Zhang Sheng‑Wang Xiang Yang‑Yang Lei Ya Zhu Yong‑Zhou He Qi‑Bing Yuan Fei Gao Rong‑Bing Deng Sen Sun Zhi‑Di Lei Zhi‑Qiang Jiang Meng‑Qi Duan Yuan Zhuan Xue‑Fang Huang Peng‑Cheng Dong Zhong‑Liang Li Shang‑Yu Si Lian Xue Si Chen Yong‑Fang Liu Ya‑Jun Tong Hai‑Xiao Deng Zhen‑Tang Zhao 2023Nuclear Science and Techniques2023,34,1:2
The Influence of Diabetes, Hypertension, and Hyperlipidemia on the Onset of Age-Related Macular Degeneration in North China: The Kailuan Eye Study显示文摘Objective To analyze the prevalence of dry and wet age-related macular degeneration(AMD)in patients with diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia, and to analyze the risk factors for AMD.Methods A population-based cross-sectional epidemiologic study was conducted involving 14,440 individuals. We assessed the prevalence of dry and wet AMD in diabetic and non-diabetic subjects and analyzed the risk factors for AMD.Results The prevalence of wet AMD in diabetic and non-diabetic patients was 0.3%and 0.5%,respectively,and the prevalence of dry AMD was 17%and 16.4%,respectively.The prevalence of wet AMD in healthy, hypertensive, hyperlipidemic, and hypertensive/hyperlipidemic populations was 0.5%,0.3%,0.2%,and 0.7%,respectively.The prevalence of dry AMD in healthy, hypertensive, hyperlipidemic, and hypertensive/hyperlipidemic populations was 16.6%,16.2%,15.2%,and 17.2%,respectively.Age,sex,body mass index, and use of hypoglycemic drugs or lowering blood pressure drugs were corrected in the risk factor analysis of AMD.Diabetes,diabetes/hypertension,diabetes/hyperlipidemia,and diabetes/hypertension/hyperlipidemia were analyzed.None of the factors analyzed in the current study increased the risk for the onset of AMD.Conclusion There was no significant difference in the prevalence of wet and dry AMD among diabetic and non-diabetic subjects.Similarly, there was no significant difference in the prevalence of wet and dry AMD among subjects with hypertension and hyperlipidemia.Diabetes co-existing with hypertension and hyperlipidemia were not shown to be risk factors for the onset of dry AMD.ZHANG Yong Peng WANG Ya Xing ZHOU Jin Qiong WANG Qian YAN Yan Ni YANG Xuan YANG Jing Yan ZHOU Wen Jia WANG Ping SHEN Chang YANG Ming LUAN Ya Nan WANG Jin Yuan WU Shou Ling CHEN Shuo Hua WANG Hai Wei FANG Li Jian WAN Qian Qian ZHU Jing Yuan NIE Zi Han CHEN Yu Ning XIE Ying JONAS JB WEI Wen Bin 2022Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2022,35,7:2
Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of severe acute hepatitis of unknown etiology in children显示文摘Background Severe acute hepatitis of unknown etiology in children has recently exhibited a global trend of concentrated occurrence. This review aimed to summarize the current available information regarding the outbreak of severe acute hepatitis and introduce our hospital’s previous experiences with the diagnosis and treatment of severe acute hepatitis for reference.Data sources Websites including the UK Health Security Agency,European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control,CDC,WHO,and databases including PubMed/Medline,Cochrane Library,Embase and Web of Science were searched for articles on severe acute hepatitis in children. Results As of May 26,2022,a total of 650 cases have been reported in 33 countries;at least 38(6%)children required liver transplantation, and nine(1%)died.Cases are predominantly aged between 3 and 5 years old,and there are no epidemiological links among them. The common manifestations are jaundice, vomiting and pale stools.Adenovirus tested positive in most cases, and SARS-CoV-2 and other viruses were detected in a few cases, but virus particles were not found in liver tissue.Adenovirus immunohistochemistry showed immunoreactivity in the intrasinusoidal lumen from some liver samples. The hierarchical treatment includes symptomatic and supportive therapy, management of coagulation disorders and hepatic encephalopathy, artifcial liver support, and liver transplantation(approximately 6%–10%of cases require liver transplant). Conclusions The etiology of this severe acute hepatitis in children is not clear. The clinical features are severe acute hepatitis with signifcantly elevated liver enzymes.Clinicians need to be alert to children with hepatitis.Ying‑Hu Chen Jin‑Gan Lou Zi‑Hao Yang Qing‑Jiang Chen Chun‑Zhen Hua Sheng Ye Chen‑Mei Zhang Jie Chen Zong‑Wei Huang Jin‑Dan Yu Zhi‑Gang Gao Qiang Shu 2022World Journal of Pediatrics2022,18,8:2

Preparation of Porous ZrO_2 and Study on Its Properties显示文摘The porous zirconia powder with a high surface area was synthesized by means of the ion exchange method from surfactant CTMAB. The highest surface area of the resulted zirconia reached 340 m 2/g having been calcined at 500 ℃ for 2 h. The influence of preparing conditions on the surface area was investigated. The results show that the amount of the surfactant and the aging time were two main factors affecting the surface area of zirconia. The IR analysis indicated that the large surface area was related to the cations of the surfactant which incorporated into hydrous zirconia by ion exchange.ZHAO Chun 1, YANG Shao feng 1, SONG Li zhu 1, XU Hui fang 1, YANG Hua 1** , JIANG Fu ming 1, WANG Zi chen 1 and NIU Zhong guo 21. 16Cloud Radiative Feedbacks during the ENSO Cycle Simulated by CAMS-CSM显示文摘This study evaluated the simulated cloud radiative feedbacks(CRF)during the El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO)cycle in the latest version of the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences climate system model(CAMS-CSM).We conducted two experimental model simulations:the Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project(AMIP),forced by the observed sea surface temperature(SST);and the preindustrial control(PIcontrol),a coupled run without flux correction. We found that both the experiments generally reproduced the observed features of the shortwave and longwave cloud radiative forcing(SWCRF and LWCRF)feedbacks. The AMIP run exhibited better simulation performance in the magnitude and spatial distribution than the PIcontrol run.Furthermore, the simulation biases in SWCRF and LWCRF feedbacks were linked to the biases in the representation of the corresponding total cloud cover and precipitation feedbacks. It is interesting to further find that the simulation bias originating in the atmospheric component was amplified in the PIcontrol run, indicating that the coupling aggravated the simulation bias.Since the PIcontrol run exhibited an apparent mean SST cold bias over the cold tongue, the precipitation response to the SST anomaly(SSTA)changes during the ENSO cycle occurred towards the relatively warmer western equatorial Pacific. Thus, the corresponding cloud cover and CRF shifted westward and showed a weaker magnitude in the PIcontrol run versus observational data.In contrast, the AMIP run was forced by the observational SST,hence representing a more realistic CRF.Our results demonstrate the challenges of simulating CRF in coupled models. This study also underscores the necessity of realistically representing the climatological mean state when simulating CRF during the ENSO cycle.Lin CHEN Lijuan HUA Xinyao RONG Jian LI Lu WANG Guo ZHANG Ming SUN Zi'an GE 2019Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,4:1
Safety and immunogenicity of a mosaic vaccine booster against Omicron and other SARS-CoV-2 variants:a randomized phase 2 trial显示文摘An ongoing randomized,double-blind,controlled phase 2 trial was conducted to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of a mosaic-type recombinant vaccine candidate, named NVSI-06-09,as a booster dose in subjects aged 18 years and older from the United Arab Emirates(UAE),who had administered two or three doses of inactivated vaccine BBIBP-CorV at least 6 months prior to enrollment. The participants were randomly assigned with 1:1 to receive a booster dose of NVSI-06-09 or BBIBP-CorV.The primary outcomes were immunogenicity and safety against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)Omicron variant, and the exploratory outcome was cross-immunogenicity against other circulating strains.Between May 25 and 30,2022,516 adults received booster vaccination with 260 in NVSI-06-09 group and 256 in BBIBP-CorV group.Interim results showed a similar safety profile between two booster groups, with low incidence of adverse reactions of grade 1 or 2.For immunogenicity,by day 14 post-booster,the fold rises in neutralizing antibody geometric mean titers(GMTs)from baseline elicited by NVSI-06-09 were remarkably higher than those by BBIBP-CorV against the prototype strain(19.67 vs 4.47-fold),Omicron BA.1.1(42.35 vs 3.78-fold),BA.2(25.09 vs 2.91-fold),BA.4(22.42 vs 2.69-fold),and BA.5 variants(27.06 vs 4.73-fold).Similarly,the neutralizing GMTs boosted by NVSI-06-09 against Beta and Delta variants were also 6.60-fold and 7.17-fold higher than those by BBIBP-CorV.Our findings indicated that a booster dose of NVSI-06-09 was well-tolerated and elicited broad-spectrum neutralizing responses against divergent SARS-CoV-2 variants, including Omicron and its sub-lineages.Nawal Al Kaabi Yun Kai Yang Yu Liang Ke Xu Xue Feng Zhang Yun Kang Yu Qin Jin Jun Wei Hou Jing Zhang Tian Yang Salah Hussein Mohamed Saif ElDein Ze Hua Lei Hao Zhang Shuai Shao Zhao Ming Liu Ning Liu Xiang Zheng Ji Guo Su Sen Sen Yang Xiangfeng Cong Yao Tan Wenwen Lei Xue Jun Gao Zhiwei Jiang Hui Wang Meng Li Hanadi Mekki Mekki Walid Zaher Sally Mahmoud Xue Zhang Chang Qu Dan Ying Liu Jing Zhang Mengjie Yang Islam Eltantawy Peng Xiao Fu Jie Shen Jin Juan Wu Zi Bo Han Li Fang Du Fang Tang Shi Chen Zhi Jing Ma Fan Zheng Ya Nan Hou Xin Yu Li Xin Li Zhao Nian Wang Jin Liang Yin Xiao Yan Mao Jin Zhang Liang Qu Yun Tao Zhang Xiao Ming Yang Guizhen Wu Qi Ming Li 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2:0
MEK inhibitors for the treatment of extracranial arteriovenous malformations显示文摘Arteriovenous malformations(AVMs)are serious congenital vascular anomalies in which the arteries connect directly with veins without capillaries. This condition will continue to worsen without proper intervention and cause ulcers, repeated hemorrhages, and even cardiac insufficiency.Primary treatment options for AVMs include surgery and interventional treatment;however, they are associated with high risk and recurrence rates.Recent studies revealed that excessive activation of the Ras/MAPK pathway can induce the formation and development of peripheral AVM,whereas MEK inhibitors can effectively control nidus progression, making them a potential novel treatment for AVM.This review provides an up-to-date overview of correlated laboratory and clinical research to provide information for further research and clinical practice.Zi’an Xu Jingwei Zhou Yuxi Chen Xi Yang Chen Hua Yunbo Jin Xiaoxi Lin 2023Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2023,5,3:0
Nutritional Assessment of Gynecological Cancer Patients in China显示文摘Background Malnutrition is common among cancer patients, but few studies have evaluated the nutritional status among gynecological cancer patients in China. This study aimed to assess the nutritional status of women with gynecological cancer using the patient-generated subjective global assessment(PG-SGA).Methods Data for gynecological cancer patients treated at 44 tertiary hospitals were retrieved from a multicenter study on tumor nutrition. The R Software was used for statistical analyses.Univariate analyses of PG-SGA scores were performed using the Chi-squared test for categorical variables and the Wilcoxon-rank sum test or Kruskal-Wallis test for continuous variables,as appropriate. The significance level was 0.05.Results Data for 1962 women with three types of gynecological cancer(cervical, uterine and ovarian cancer)were used for the data analysis. The median PG-SGA score was 4(interquartile range,IQR:1,8),the median participants’age was 51(IQR:46,59)years old,and the patients had a median BMI of 22.9(IQR:20.7,25.4).The percentages of women who had a medical co-morbidity,or had undergone any radical resection, chemotherapy,or radiotherapy were approximately 27.7%,55.4%,52.5%,and 30.2%,respectively.The levels of serum albumin and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)were 40.1g/L(IQR:36.8,43.1)and 1.2mmol/L(IQR:1.0,1.5),respectively.The identified risk factors for malnutrition based on the PG-SGA score were age(0.05±0.01,p=0.002),BMI(-0.34±0.04,p<0.001),having a medical co-morbidity(0.95±0.33,p=0.004),receiving radiotherapy(1.52±0.31,p<0.001),the serum albumin level(-0.18±0.03,p<0.001),and the HDL-C(-1.12±0.35,p=0.001)as indicated by a linear regression analysis. Conclusions A higher PG-SGA score is positively associated with the age of the patient, having a medical co-morbidity,and receiving radiotherapy, and is negatively related to the patients’BMI and serum albumin and HDL-C levels.Wen Ying Li Guo Lan Gao Chun Hua Song Chang Wang Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Fu Xiang Zhou Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Jian Xiong Wu Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo ong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Wei Li Han Ping Shi Investigation on nutrition status and its clinical outcome of common cancers (INSCOC) group 2017Journal of Nutritional Oncology2017,2,3:0
