1Biodegradation of Phthalate Esters by a Newly Isolated Acinetobacter sp. Strain LMB-5 and Characteristics of Its Esterase显示文摘Phthalate esters(PAEs) are extensively applied in industry, and they migrate to environment during the process of production,employ, and treatment and are difficult to be degraded in nature. However, some microorganisms could use them as the carbon source to growth. In this study, an Acinetobacter sp. strain LMB-5, capable of utilizing PAEs, was isolated from a vegetable greenhouse soil.The degradation capability of strain LMB-5 was also investigated by incubation in mineral salt medium containing different PAEs,dimethyl phthalate(DMP), diethyl phthalate(DEP), di-n-butyl phthalate(DBP), and di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate(DEHP). The strain could grow well with DMP, DEP, DBP, and DEHP. When the concentration of DBP increased from 100 to 400 mg L^(-1), the half-life extended from 9.5 to 15.5 h. In the concentration range of DBP, the degradation ability of strain LMB-5 could be described by first-order kinetics. During the biodegradation of DBP, three intermediates, 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid,butyl methyl ester, DMP,and phthalic acid(PA) were detected, and the proposed pathway of DBP was identified. By analysis of bioinformatics, one esterase was cloned from the genome of LMB-5 and expressed in Escherichia coli. It displayed an ability to break the ester bonds of DBP. The enzyme exhibited maximal activity at pH 7.0 and 40℃ with DBP as the substrate. It was activated by Cu^(2+) and Fe^(3+) and had a high activity in the presence of low concentrations of methanol or dimethylsulfoxide(each 10%, volume:volume). 2Geochronology and Geochemistry of the Tinggong Porphyry Copper Ore Deposit, Tibet显示文摘We have determined the ages of the ore-bearing Tinggong porphyries and the Eocene granites using the LA-ICPMS zircon U-Pb method. Zircons from one adamellite porphyry and two diorite porphyries yield ages of 15.54±0.28 Ma, 15.02±0.25 Ma and 14.74±0.22 Ma, respectively. The ages of two granites are 50.48±0.71 Ma and 50.16±0.48 Ma. Light Rare Earth Elements(LREE) are enriched in the ore-bearing adamellite porphyries, which are high-K calc-alkaline and metaluminous, while Heavy Rare Earth Elements(HREE) and Y are strongly depleted, indicating an adakitic affinity. The Large Ion Lithophile Elements(LILE) of the adamellite porphyries are highly enriched, whereas some High Field Strength Elements(HFSE) are depleted. The diorite porphyry in this study is chemically similar to the adamellite porphyries, except that the Mg# of the diorite porphyry is a little higher, demonstrating more mantle contamination. Four samples from different rocks are selected for in situ zircon Hf isotopic analyses. The samples show positive εHf(t) values and young Hf model ages, indicating their derivation from juvenile crust. However, the adamellite porphyry and diorite porphyry formed in the Miocene exhibit more heterogeneous Hf isotopic ratios, with lower εHf(t) values than the granites formed in the Eocene, suggesting the involvement of old Indian continent crust in their petrogenesis. The geochronology and geochemistry of the adamellite porphyries and the diorite porphyries indicate that they formed from the same source region in a post-collisional environment, but contaminated by crust and mantle materials in different ratios. 3The discovery of interfacial electronic interaction within cobalt boride@MXene for high performance lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur battery is strongly considered as the most promising next-generation energy storage system because of the high theoretical specific capacity.The serious'shuttle effect'and sluggish reaction kinetic limited the commercial application of lithium-sulfur battery.Many hetero structure s were applied to accelerate polysulfides conversion and suppress their migration in lithium-sulfur batteries.Nevertheless,the effect of the interface in heterostructure was not clear.Here,the Co_(2)B@MXene heterostructure is synthesized through chemical reactions at room temperature and employed as the interlayer material for Li-S batteries.The theoretical calculations and experimental results indicate that the interfacial electronic interaction of Co_(2)B@MXene induce the transfer of electrons from Co_(2)B to MXene,enhancing the catalytic ability and favoring fast redox kinetics of the polysulfides,and the theoretical calculations also reveal the underlying mechanisms for the electron transfer is that the two materials have different Fermi energy levels.The cell with Co_(2)B@MXene exhibits a high initial capacity of1577 mAh/g at 0.1 C and an ultralow capacity decay of 0.0088%per cycle over 2000 cycles at 2 C.Even at5.1 mg/cm^(2) of sulfur loading,the cell with Co_(2)B@MXene delivers 5.2 mAh/cm^(2) at 0.2 C.Bin Guan Xun Sun Yu Zhang Xian Wu Yue Qiu Maoxu Wang Lishuang Fan Naiqing Zhang 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,7:2

7Extracellular and intracellular infection of Botryosphaeria dothidea and resistance mechanism in apple cells显示文摘Apple ring rot,which is caused by Botryosphaeria dothidea,severely affects apple production.The mechanisms employed in apple cells against B.dothidea remain unknown.In this research,the pathogen infection mode and the relationship between cell death and disease resistance in‘Fuji’/B.dothidea interaction pathosystem were investigated.By using transmission electron microscopy(TEM),our research showed that the pathogen infects apple cells both intracellularly and extracellularly.However,compared with that in immature fruit,the incidence of hyphae in the interior of mature apple fruit cells increased dramatically,suggesting that cell wall-mediated penetration resistance could be important in apple resistance against B.dothidea.TEM ultrastructural characterization identified the nuclear morphology of programmed cell death induction in both apple fruit and callus cells under B.dothidea infection.Overexpression of MdVDAC2(MDP0000271281),which encodes an outer-membrane localized anion channel protein in mitochondria,significantly promoted cell death under B.dothidea infection and simultaneously inhibited pathogen infection,suggesting that cell death represents a disease resistance mechanism in apple against B.dothidea infection.Furthermore,BdCatalase(KAF4307763),a cytochromeP450 family protein BdCYP52A4(KAF4300696),and subtilisin-domain containing proteinswere identified fromB.dothidea-secreted proteins,which suggested the potential involvement of active oxygen species and phytoalexins in combating B.dothidea infection and triggering or dampening apple resistance.Collectively,our research suggested that cell wall-mediated penetration resistance,programmed cell death machinery and microbial effector-interrelated signaling were among strategies recruited in apple to combat B.dothidea.The current research laid the foundation for further investigations into resistance mechanisms in apple.Li Xin Rui Zhang Xianpu Wang Xiuxia Liu Yicheng Wang Peiran Qi Lishuang Wang Shujing Wu Xuesen Chen 2023Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,2:1

13Ex utero intrapartum therapy in infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia:a propensity score matching analysis显示文摘Objective Previous studies have shown that ex utero intrapartum therapy(EXIT)is safe and feasible for newborns with congenital diaphragmatic hernia(CDH).This study reports our experience with EXIT in fetuses with CDH in an attempt to explore the efficacy of EXIT on the survival rate of this population.Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 116 children with CDH was conducted.The children were assigned to EXIT and non-EXIT groups.Propensity score matching(PSM)toward clinical data was performed,and the clinical characteristics and outcomes were compared.Taking survival at discharge as the main outcome,logistic regression analysis was carried out to explore the efficacy of EXIT on survival.Results During the study period,30 of 116 children received EXIT.After PSM,the survival rates of the EXIT group and the non-EXIT group were 82.76%(24/29)and 48.28%(14/29),respectively(p=0.006).EXIT(OR=0.083,95%CI=0.013to 0.525,p=0.008),liver herniation(OR=16.955,95%CI=2.342 to 122.767,p=0.005),and gestational age at diagnosis(OR=0.662,95%CI=0.497 to 0.881,p=0.005)were independent mortality-related risk factors of all children with CDH.Ninety-nine of 116 children underwent surgery.After PSM,the postoperative survival rates of the EXIT group and non-EXIT group were 84.6%(22/26)and 76.9%(20/26),respectively(p=0.754).Liver herniation(OR=10.451,95%CI=1.641 to 66.544,p=0.013)and gestational age at diagnosis(OR=0.736,95%CI=0.577 to 0.938,p=0.013)were independent mortality-related risk factors of children after surgery.Conclusion EXIT can be performed safely for selected prenatally diagnosed CDH neonates with potentially better survival and does not cause more maternal complications compared with traditional cesarean section.Yunlong Zhao Ying Wang Chao Liu Yulin Jiang Yandong Wei Hua Meng Shan Jian Xiting Zhu Lijian Pei Xiaochen Bai Feng Feng Yan Lv Xiya Zhou Qingwei Qi Jingna Li Lishuang Ma 2022World Journal of Pediatric Surgery2022,5,4:0
14Efficacy and safety of Weichang’an pill(胃肠安丸)combined with Western Medicine on gastrointestinal diseases:a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Weichang’an pill(胃肠安丸,WCA)combined with Western Medicine(WM)for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.METHODS:Eight databases,including China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Wanfang Data,China Science and Technology Journal Database,SinoMed,PubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,and Embase,were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of WCA from inception to 30 September 2021.We independently screened the literature,extracted data,and then evaluated the bias risk,effectiveness,safety,and other indicators of the included articles.RESULTS:A total of 33 RCTs were included in this study with 3368 patients.After analysis,it was found that WCA combined with WM could effectively prevent and treat antibiotic-associated gastrointestinal reaction,functional dyspepsia(FD),irritable bowel syndrome,rotavirus diarrhea(RVD),and ulcerative colitis(UC);no serious adverse reactions occurred.Moreover,compared with the control group,the experimental group showed significantly improved symptoms and some biochemical parameters.CONCLUSIONS:WCA combined with WM for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases had better clinical efficacy than the control group,without serious adverse reactions.Notably,in the treatment of FD,RVD,and UC,WCA improved clinical symptoms and biochemical indicator expression.Nevertheless,owing to the restricted quality and quantity of the literature,the results need to be further studied using high-quality RCTs.WANG Jiabao ZHANG Lishuang NIU Baihan YU Yajun YANG Fengwen MIAO Lin CHAI Lijuan DING Xinya SUN Yingjie WANG Yujing WANG Lin ZHANG Han WANG Yi LI Lin 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,6:0
15Late Neoarchean crustal growth under paired continental arc-back arc system in the North China Craton显示文摘The late Archean(~3.0-2.5 Ga)was a key period of continental growth globally,which is widely considered to reflect the onset of vigorous plate tectonic activity,although related continental growth modes remain contentious.Here we investigate a suite of late Neoarchean metavolcanic rocks from the southwest Qixia area of the Jiaobei terrane in the North China Craton.The rocks in this suite include amphibolites,clinopyroxene amphibolites,and hornblende plagioclase gneisses.We present zircon U-Pb isotopic data which indicate that the protoliths of these rocks formed during~2549-2511 Ma.The(clinopyroxene)amphibolites correspond to meta-basaltic rocks,with some containing high modal content of titanite.These rocks show moderate to high FeO_(T)(8.96-13.62 wt.%)and TiO_(2)(0.59-1.59 wt.%),flat to less fractionated REE patterns,and mildly negative Th,Nb,and Ta anomalies,resembling those of Fe-tholeiites.In addition,they display positive zirconε_(Hf)(t)values(+2.6 to+8.7),and are devoid of crustal contamination or fractional crystallization.Combined with the low Nb/Yb(mostly<1.60)and(Hf/Sm)_N(mostly<0.95),low to moderate Th/Yb(0.08-0.54),and low V/Sc(5.53-9.19)ratios,these basaltic rocks are interpreted to have been derived from a relatively reduced and depleted mantle source that was mildly metasomatized by hydrous fluids.The hornblende plagioclase gneisses are meta-andesitic rocks,and occur interlayered with the basaltic rocks.They are transitional between tholeiitic and calc-alkaline rock series,and show fractionated REE patterns with evidently negative Th,Nb,and Ta anomalies.The depleted zirconε_(Hf)(t)values(+2.4 to+8.4)and quantitative chemical modeling suggest that the andesitic rocks were most likely generated by injection and mixing of juvenile felsic magmas with the tholeiitic basaltic magmas.In general,the chemical features and genesis of late Neoarchean meta-basaltic rocks in our study area resemble those of Mariana back-arc basin basalts.Combined with regional geological data,it is proposed that the Jiaobei terrane witnessed late Neoarchean crustal growth under a paired continental arc-back arc setting.On a regional context,we propose two distinct geodynamic mode of late Neoarchean continental growth across North China Craton(particularly the Eastern Block),i.e.,(1)arc-continent accretion along northwestern part of the Eastern Block;and(2)paired continental arc-back arc system surrounding the~3.8-2.7 Ga continental nuclei to the southeast.Xin He Wei Wang M.Santosh Jiachen Yao Kangting Gao Yuhan Zhang Denggang Lu Lishuang Guo 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,3:0
16Isolation Technology of Single Spore and Optimization of Conidia Culture Condition for Ustilaginoidea virens显示文摘The single spores were isolated from chlamydospores of Ustilaginoidea virens with three different maturities by PSA. The isolated single spores were cultured on different media at different temperatures under natural light for inducing conidia to explore the optimum isolation technique of single spore and optimum culture condition of conidia. The results showed that the successful isolating rate of single spore from yellow rice false smut balls reached 90. 00% . The sporulation quantities of isolated single spores cultured on PSD and PDB media at 22 - 29 ℃ ( variable temperature under natural light) or 28 ℃ ( constant temperature under dark condition) for 12 d were up to 6. 3 × 107 and 1. 1 × 106 spore / mL,respectively. PSA was the most effective method to isolate single spores from yellow rice false smut balls of U. virens. 18Coupling effects of water and nitrogen on photosynthetic characteristics,nitrogen uptake,and yield of sunflower under drip irrigation in an oasis显示文摘An experiment was conducted in an oasis area in northwest China to assess the coupling effects of water and nitrogen supply through drip irrigation on photosynthetic characteristics,nitrogen uptake,and yield of sunflower(Helianthus annuus L.),as well as the nitrate distribution in the root-zone soil.The experiment included three irrigation levels(210[W1],300[W2],and 390[W3]mm),three nitrogen levels(162[N1],232[N2],and 302[N3]kg/hm^(2)),and control treatment(no fertilization during whole growth period and only irrigated at the budding stage).A nitrogen content over-accumulation in the soil was observed under the low irrigation amount with high fertilizer supply,which cannot enhance the sunflowers’absorption of nitrogen.Excessive irrigation caused leach of the soil nitrogen,reduced nitrogen content in the root-zone soil(0-40 cm)and limited nitrogen uptake by the crop.Although low irrigation amount with high fertilizer supply can increase the nitrogen content in the soil,it cannot enhance the sunflowers’absorption of nitrogen.At the vegetative stage of sunflower growth,the accumulation of nitrogen in the organs was mainly concentrated in the leaves,while it was transferred to the flower disk at the reproductive growth stage.Reasonable coupling of water and nitrogen improved the transport of nitrogen from leaves and stems to the flower disk and promoted the formation of yield components.Six regression equations were established with irrigation and fertilization amount as independent variables,and seed rate,seed weight per flowerdisk,1000 grain weight,yield,water use efficiency and nitrogen partial factor productivity as dependent variables,respectively.Multiple regression and spatial analysis suggested that the irrigation amount of 241.62-253.35 mm and the fertilization application of 202.02-209.40 N kg/hm^(2)was a good irrigation strategy,under which all six factors exceed 75%of their maxima,and the yield of sunflower reached 3229.3 kg/hm^(2).Tianyu Wang Zhenhua Wang Qiang Wu Jinzhu Zhang Lishuang Quan Bihang Fan Li Guo 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,5:0
19Flavonol synthase gene MsFLS13 regulates saline-alkali stress tolerance in alfalfa显示文摘Alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.) is one of the most extensively grown leguminous forage worldwide.Environmental saline-alkali stress significantly influences the growth,development,and yield of alfalfa,posing a threat to its agricultural production.However,little is known about the potential mechanisms by which alfalfa responds to saline-alkali stress.Here,we investigated these mechanisms by cloning a saline-alkali-induced flavonol synthase gene(Ms FLS13) from alfalfa,which was previously reported to be significantly upregulated under saline-alkali stress,and examining its function in the saline-alkali response.Overexpression of Ms FLS13 in alfalfa promoted plant tolerance to saline-alkali stress by enhancing flavonol accumulation,antioxidant capacity,osmotic balance,and photosynthetic efficiency.Conversely,Ms FLS13 inhibition using RNA interference reduced flavonol synthase activity and inhibited hairy root growth under saline-alkali stress.Yeast one-hybrid and dual-luciferase reporter assays indicated that the R2R3-MYB Ms MYB12 transcription factor activates Ms FLS13 expression by binding to the MBS motif in the Ms FLS13 promoter.Further analysis revealed that abscisic acid mediates the salinealkali stress response partially by inducing Ms MYB12 and Ms FLS13 expression,which consequently increases flavonol levels and maintains antioxidant homeostasis in alfalfa.Collectively,our findings highlight the crucial role of Ms FLS13 in alfalfa in response to saline-alkali stress and provide a novel genetic resource for creating saline-alkali-resistant alfalfa through genetic engineering.Lishuang Zhang Yugang Sun Jinqiang Ji Weidi Zhao Weileng Guo Jiaqi Li Yan Bai Dan Wang Zhe Yan Changhong Guo 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,4:0
