| 2 | A novel battery scheme:Coupling nanostructured phosphorus anodes with lithium sulfide cathodes显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries are approaching their theoretical limit and can no longer keep up with the increasing demands of human society.Lithium-sulfur batteries,with a high theoretical specific energy,are promising candidates for next generation energy storage.However,the use of Li metal in Li-S batteries compromises both safety and performance,enabling dendrite formation and causing fast capacity degradation.Previous studies have probed alternative battery systems to replace the metallic Li in Li-S system,such as a Si/Li2S couple,with limited success in performance.Recently,there is a focus on red P as a favorable anode material to host Li.Here,we establish a novel battery scheme by utilizing a P/C nanocomposite anode and pairing it with a Li2S coated carbon nanofiber cathode.We find that red P anode can be compatible in ether-based electrolyte systems and can be successfully coupled to a Li2S cathode.Our proof of concept full-cell displays remarkable specific capacity,rate and cycling performances.We expect our work will provide a useful alternative system and valuable insight in the quest for next generation energy storage devices. | David Sichen Wu Guangmin Zhou Eryang Mao Yongming Sun Bofei Liu Li Wang Jiangyan Wang Feifei Shi Yi Cui | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,5: | 4 |
| 3 | Optimization and Effects of Catalytic Ozonation of Actual Phenolic Wastewater by CuO/Al2O3显示文摘In order to improve the ability of ozone to catalyze the degradation of phenolic pollutants in wastewater,the CuO/Al2O3 catalysts was prepared by the impregnation precipitation method and an ozone catalytic oxidation system was constructed.The actual phenolic sewage was used as the treatment object.And the reaction conditions of the system were optimized,and the treatment effect was determined,while the non-catalytic system was used as a control group.At the same time,the influence of salt and ammonia nitrogen related water quality on the system was studied.The optimal reaction conditions for the treatment of phenolic wastewater covered:a catalyst dosage of 30 g/L,an ozone flow rate of 0.3 m3/h,a pH value of 8.80,and a reaction time of 15 minutes.Under these conditions,the phenol and COD removal rates of the system reached 98.7%and 49.4%,respectively,which were by 31.3 percentage points and 16.2 percentage points higher than that of the ozonation system alone.The salt and ammonia nitrogen in the sewage can reduce the oxidation effect of the system.When the salinity reached 10%and the ammonia nitrogen content reached 13 000 mg/L,the removal rate of phenol could be reduced by about 20%.The results of this paper have a reference value for phenol wastewater treatment engineering. | Ma Rui Liu Guangmin Feng Sihui Qiu Xiaoyu Zhang Yanqing Xia Shumei Xue Jianliang | 2019 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2019,21,3: | 3 |
| 4 | THE THEORETICAL STUDY OF ADSORPTION OF METAL IONS ON CHITOSAN显示文摘The interactions between metal ions such as Zn2+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Hg2+, Cd2+, Ni2+ and chitosan have been investigated using the model cluster model method and density functional method. Full optimization and frequency analysis of all cluster models have been performed employing B3LYP hybrid method at 3-21G basis set level except metal ions which were invoked to use effective core potential (ECP) method. The energy changes, and the main structural parameters have been obtained during the theoretical study of the adsorption of metal ions on the chitosan. The calculations showed that the coordination modes of metal ions with chitosan models were different, the geometries of Mn2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Pb2+ ions coordinated with two nitrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms were distorted tetrahedral, while the square planar structure of Ni2+ coordinated two nitrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms was observed. | 8 | Ca^(2+)-dependent TaCCD1 cooperates with TaSAUR215 to enhance plasma membrane H^(+)-ATPase activity and alkali stress tolerance by inhibiting PP2C-mediated dephosphorylation of TaHA2 in wheat显示文摘Alkali stress is a major constraint for crop production in many regions of saline-alkali land.However,little is known about the mechanisms through which wheat responds to alkali stress.In this study,we identified a calcium ion-binding protein from wheat,TaCCD1,which is critical for regulating the plasma membrane(PM)H^(+)-ATPase-mediated alkali stress response.PM H+-ATPase activity is closely related to alkali tolerance in the wheat variety Shanrong 4(SR4).We found that two D-clade type 2C protein phosphatases,TaPP2C.D1 and TaPP2C.D8(TaPP2C.D1/8),negatively modulate alkali stress tolerance by dephosphorylating the penultimate threonine residue(Thr926)of TaHA2 and thereby inhibiting PM H+-ATPase activity.Alkali stress induces the expression of TaCCD1 in SR4,and TaCCD1 interacts with TaSAUR215,an early auxin-responsive protein.These responses are both dependent on calcium signaling triggered by alkali stress.TaCCD1 enhances the inhibitory effect of TaSAUR215 on TaPP2C.D1/8 activity,thereby promoting the activity of the PM H^(+)-ATPase TaHA2 and alkali stress tolerance in wheat.Functional and genetic analyses verified the effects of these genes in response to alkali stress,indicating that TaPP2C.D1/8 function downstream of TaSAUR215 and TaCCD1.Collectively,this study uncovers a new signaling pathway that regulates wheat responses to alkali stress,in which Ca^(2+)-dependent TaCCD1 cooperates with TaSAUR215 to enhance PM H+-ATPase activity and alkali stress tolerance by inhibiting TaPP2C.D1/8-mediated dephosphorylation of PM H+-ATPase TaHA2 in wheat. | Minghan Cui Yanping Li Jianhang Li Fengxiang Yin Xiangyu Chen Lumin Qin Lin Wei Guangmin Xia Shuwei Liu | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,3: | 1 |

Variations in pH value can accurately reflect the state and reaction status of the entire treatment process. Therefore, the pH value could be an important variable for optimizing the reaction conditions and achieving the automatic control of the process. About 99.89% of phenol was removed after 10 min of the pH-controlled reaction at a rotational speed of 40―70 r/min, with the initial phenol concentration equating to 10.0 g/kg and the total water consumption reaching 2.72 L(at a soil/water ratio of 1:0.68). | 12 | Effects of fresh-cut and storage on glucosinolates profile using broccoli as a case study显示文摘Glucosinolates(GLS) contribute to the unique flavour, nutrition, and plant defence of the Cruciferous vegetables. Understanding the GLS changes through postharvest processing is essential for defined preservation. In this study, four different fresh-cut types, whole flower(W),floret(F), quarterly cut floret(QF) and shredded floret(FS) of broccoli, were stored for 0, 1, 2 and 3 day(s) to explore GLS responses to postharvest treatments. As a result, seven GLS were identified, mainly including glucoraphanin(RAA), neoglucobrassicin(NEO), and glucobrassicin(GBC)and accounting for 52.69%, 20.12% and 14.99% of the total GLS(21.92 ± 0.48) μmol · g ^(-1 )DW, respectively. FS had the sharpest decrease in GLS after three days of storage(6.55 ± 0.37) μmol · g-1DW, while QF had the least(10.16 ± 0.33) μmol · g ^(-1 )DW. All GLS components decreased over storage, except for 4-methoxyglucobrassicin(4 ME) in FS and QF, suggesting its key role in serious wound defence. | 15 | Pyridoxine regulates hair follicle development via the PI3K/Akt, Wnt and Notch signalling pathways in rex rabbits显示文摘This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of pyridoxine on the development of hair follicles in Rex rabbits and the underlying molecular mechanism.Two hundred 3-month-old Rex rabbits were randomly divided into 5 groups and fed diets supplemented with 0,5,10,20,or 40 mg/kg pyridoxine.The hair follicle density on the dorsal skin and the gene and protein expression levels of components of the phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3 K)/protein kinase B(PKB or Akt),Wnt,Notch and bone morphogenetic protein(BMP)signalling pathways were measured.In addition,free hair follicles were isolated from Rex rabbits and cultured with pyridoxine in vitro to measure hair shaft growth.Furthermore,dermal papilla cells(DPC)were isolated from the skin of Rex rabbits and cultured with pyridoxine in vitro to measure the gene and protein expression levels of components of the PI3 K/Akt,Wnt,Notch and BMP signalling pathways.The results showed that the addition of dietary pyridoxine significantly increased the total follicle density,secondary follicle density,and secondary-to-primary ratio(S/P,P<0.05),that the growth ratio of hair stems was promoted by pyridoxine in basic culture medium,and that the growth length of tentacle hair follicles cultured in the pyridoxine group was longer than that in the control group(P<0.05).In addition,pyridoxine changed the DPC cycle progression and promoted cell proliferation,and appropriate concentrations of pyridoxine(10 and 20μmol/L)significantly inhibited cell apoptosis(P<0.05).Pyridoxine significantly affected the gene expression of components of the PI3 K/Akt,Wnt and Notch signalling pathways in the skin and DPC of Rex rabbits(P<0.05),increased the levels of phosphorylated catenin beta 1(CTNNB1)and Akt,and decreased the level of phosphorylated glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta(GSK-3β)(P<0.05).Therefore,the molecular mechanism by which pyridoxine promotes hair follicle density in Rex rabbits probably occurs through activation of the PI3 K/Akt,Wnt and Notch signalling pathways,prolonging hair follicle growth and delaying the onset of telogen. | Gongyan Liu Guangmin Cheng Yongcui Zhang Shuxia Gao Haitao Sun Liya Bai Shu Li Yanli Zhu Chunyang Wang Fuchang Li | 2021 | Animal Nutrition2021,,4: | 1 |

| 19 | TaSRO1 interacts with TaVP1 to modulate seed dormancy and pre-harvest sprouting resistance in wheat显示文摘Dormancy is an adaptive trait which prevents seeds from germinating under unfavorable environmental conditions.Seeds with weak dormancy undergo pre-harvest sprouting(PHS)which decreases grain yield and quality.Understanding the genetic mechanisms that regulate seed dormancy and resistance to PHS is crucial for ensuring global food security.In this study,we illustrated the function and molecular mechanism of TaSRO1 in the regulation of seed dormancy and PHS resistance by suppressing TaVP1.The tasro1 mutants exhibited strong seed dormancy and enhanced resistance to PHS,whereas the mutants of tavp1 displayed weak dormancy.Genetic evidence has shown that TaVP1 is epistatic to TaSRO1.Biochemical evidence has shown that TaSRO1 interacts with TaVP1 and represses the transcriptional activation of the PHS resistance genes TaPHS1 and TaSdr.Furthermore,TaSRO1 undermines the synergistic activation of TaVP1 and TaABI5 in PHS resistance genes.Finally,we highlight the great potential of tasro1 alleles for breeding elite wheat cultivars that are resistant to PHS. | Shupeng Liu Li Li Wenlong Wang Guangmin Xia Shuwei Liu | 2024 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2024,66,1: | 0 |
