1Influence of Substrate Negative Bias on Structure and Properties of TiN Coatings Prepared by Hybrid HIPIMS Method显示文摘TiN coatings were deposited using a hybrid home-made high power impulse magnetron sputtering(HIPIMS)technique at room temperature.The effects of substrate negative bias voltage on the deposition rate,composition,crystal structure,surface morphology,microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated.The results revealed that with the increase in bias voltage from-50 to-400 V,TiN coatings exhibited a trend of densification and the crystal structure gradually evolved from(111) orientation to(200)orientation.The growth rate decreased from about 12.2 nm to 7.8 nm per minute with the coating densification.When the bias voltage was-300 V,the minimum surface roughness value of 10.1 nm was obtained,and the hardness and Young's modulus of TiN coatings reached the maximum value of 17.4 GPa and 263.8 GPa,respectively.Meanwhile,the highest adhesion of 59 N was obtained between coating and substrate.Zhenyu Wang Dong Zhang Peiling Ke Xincai Liu Aiying Wang 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,1:10
2Structural design of Cr/GLC films for high tribological performance in artificial seawater:Cr/GLC ratio and multilayer structure显示文摘In this paper,graphite-like carbon(GLC)films with Cr buffer layer were fabricated by DC magnetron sputtering technique with the thickness ratio of Cr to GLC films varying from 1:2 to 1:20.The effect of Cr/GLC modulation ratio on microstructure,mechanical and tribological properties in artificial seawater was mainly investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),nano-indenter and a reciprocating sliding tribo-meter.The propagation of defects plays an important role in the evolution of delamination,which is critical to wear failure of GLC films in artificial seawater.Designing the proper multilayer structure could inhibit the defects propagation and thus protect the basis material.The multilayer Cr/GLC film with optimized ratio of 1:3 demonstrates a low average friction coefficient of 0.08±0.006 and wear rate of(2.3±0.3)×10^(-8)mm^3/(N m)in artificial seawater,respectively.Lei Li Peng Guo Lin-Lin Liu Xiaowei Li Peiling Ke Aiying Wang 2018Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,8:7
313.4 fs,0.1 Hz OPCPA Front End for the 100 PW-Class Laser Facility显示文摘Here,we report the recent progress on the front end developed for the 100 PW-class laser facility.Using 3 stages of optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification(OPCPA)based on lithium triborate(LBO)crystals,we realized a 5.26 J/0.1 Hz amplified output with a bandwidth over 200 nm near the center wavelength of 925 nm.After the compressor,we obtained a pulse duration of 13.4 fs.As the compression efficiency reached 67%,this OPCPA front end could potentially support a peak power of 263 TW at a repetition rate of 0.1 Hz.To the best of our knowledge,among all the 100 TW-level OPCPA systems,it shows the widest spectral width,the shortest pulse duration,and it is also the first OPCPA system working at a repetition-rate mode.Xinliang Wang Xingyan Liu Xiaoming Lu Junchi Chen Yingbin Long Wenkai Li Haidong Chen Xun Chen Peile Bai Yanyan Li Yujie Peng Yanqi Liu Fenxiang Wu Cheng Wang Zhaoyang Li Yi Xu Xiaoyan Liang Yuxin Leng Ruxin Li 2022Ultrafast Science2022,,3:1

17Immune‑Ageing Evaluation of Peripheral T and NK Lymphocyte Subsets in Chinese Healthy Adults显示文摘Ageing is often accompanied with a decline in immune system function,resulting in immune ageing.Numerous studies have focussed on the changes in different lymphocyte subsets in diseases and immunosenescence.The change in immune phenotype is a key indication of the diseased or healthy status.However,the changes in lymphocyte number and phenotype brought about by ageing have not been comprehensively analysed.Here,we analysed T and natural killer(NK)cell subsets,the phenotype and cell differentiation states in 43,096 healthy individuals,aged 20–88 years,without known diseases.Thirty-six immune parameters were analysed and the reference ranges of these subsets were established in different age groups divided into 5-year intervals.The data were subjected to random forest machine learning for immune-ageing modelling and confirmed using the neural network analysis.Our initial analysis and machine modelling prediction showed that na.ve T cells decreased with ageing,whereas central memory T cells(Tcm)and effector memory T cells(Tem)increased cluster of differentiation(CD)28-associated T cells.This is the largest study to investigate the correlation between age and immune cell function in a Chinese population,and provides insightful differences,suggesting that healthy adults might be considerably influenced by age and sex.The age of a person's immune system might be different from their chronological age.Our immune-ageing modelling study is one of the largest studies to provide insights into‘immune-age’rather than‘biological-age’.Through machine learning,we identified immune factors influencing the most through ageing and built a model for immune-ageing prediction.Our research not only reveals the impact of age on immune parameter differences within the Chinese population,but also provides new insights for monitoring and preventing some diseases in clinical practice.Zhenghu Jia Zhiyao Ren Dongmei Ye Jiawei Li Yan Xu Hui Liu Ziyu Meng Chengmao Yang Xiaqi Chen Xinru Mao Xueli Luo Zhe Yang Lina Ma Anyi Deng Yafang Li Bingyu Han Junping Wei Chongcheng Huang Zheng Xiang Guobing Chen Peiling Li Juan Ouyang Peisong Chen Oscar Junhong Luo Yifang Gao Zhinan Yin 2023Phenomics2023,3,4:1

19Long-term tribocorrosion resistance and failure tolerance of multilayer carbon-based coatings显示文摘Current tribocorrosion research of metallic materials and their surface protective coatings mainly focuses on their short-term properties,with test time of 0.5‒2.0 h and a sliding distance 50‒500 m,which may significantly deviate from the practical long-term service condition and thus cause a catastrophe of marine equipments.In this study,three carbon-based multilayer coatings(Ti/DLC,TiC_(x)/DLC,and Ti‒TiC_(x)/DLC)were deposited on S32750 substrates,and both short-term and long-term tribocorrosion behaviors were investigated.The experimental results indicate that the coatings substantially improve the tribocorrosion resistance of the S32750 stainless steel.During the short-term tribocorrosion test,TiC_(x)/DLC exhibited the best tribocorrosion resistance owing to its high hardness.During the long-term tribocorrosion test,however,Ti‒TiC_(x)/DLC coating indicated the best anti-tribocorrosion performance owing to its excellent fracture toughness together with high hardness.Moreover,under 5 N,Ti‒TiC_(x)/DLC can withstand a long-term test of more than 24 h.Additionally,under a higher load of 20 N,the Ti‒TiC_(x)/DLC with a corresponding sliding distance of approximately 1,728 m maintained a low friction coefficient of approximately 0.06.However,the coating was completely worn out;this is attributable to the formation of tribocorrosion products consisting of graphitized carbon and nanocrystalline Fe_(x)O_(y).Hao LI Linlin LIU Peng GUO Lili SUN Jing WEI Yingrui LIU Shuyu LI Shuyuan WANG Kwang-Ryeol LEE Peiling KE Aiying WANG 2022Friction2022,10,10:1
