| 1 | Spatio-temporal dynamics of vegetation and its relationship with climate factors Mongolia, China coverage in Inner显示文摘The vegetation coverage dynamics and its relationship with climate factors on different spatial and temporal scales in Inner Mongolia during 2001-2010 were analyzed based on MODIS-NDVI data and climate data.The results indicated that vegetation coverage in Inner Mongolia showed obvious longitudinal zonality,increasing from west to east across the region with a change rate of 0.2/10°N.During 2001-2010,the mean vegetation coverage was 0.57,0.4 and 0.16 in forest,grassland and desert biome,respectively,exhibiting evident spatial heterogeneities.Totally,vegetation coverage had a slight increasing trend during the study period.Across Inner Mongolia,the area of which the vegetation coverage showed extremely significant and significant increase accounted for 11.25% and 29.13% of the area of whole region,respectively,while the area of which the vegetation coverage showed extremely significant and significant decrease accounted for 7.65% and 26.61%,respectively.On inter-annual time scale,precipitation was the dominant driving force of vegetation coverage for the whole region.On inter-monthly scale,the change of vegetation coverage was consistent with both the change of temperature and precipitation,implying that the vegetation growth within a year is more sensitive to the combined effects of water and heat rather than either single climate factor.The vegetation coverage in forest biome was mainly driven by temperature on both inter-annual and inter-monthly scales,while that in desert biome was mainly influenced by precipitation on both the two temporal scales.In grassland biome,the yearly vegetation coverage had a better correlation with precipitation,while the monthly vegetation coverage was influenced by both temperature and precipitation.In grassland biome,the impacts of precipitation on monthly vegetation coverage showed time-delay effects. | MU Shaojie YANG Hongfei LI Jianlong CHEN Yizhao GANG Chengcheng ZHOU Wei JU Weimin | 2013 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2013,23,2: | 28 |
| 2 | Early screening and diagnosis strategies of pancreatic cancer:a comprehensive review显示文摘Pancreatic cancer is a highly malignant digestive system tumor with a poor prognosis.Most pancreatic cancer patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage or even metastasis due to its highly aggressive characteristics and lack of typical early symptoms.Thus,an early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is crucial for improving its prognosis.Currently,screening is often applied in high-risk individuals to achieve the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.Fully understanding the risk factors of pancreatic cancer and pathogenesis could help us identify the high-risk population and achieve early diagnosis and timely treatment of pancreatic cancer.Notably,accumulating studies have been undertaken to improve the detection rate of different imaging methods and the diagnostic accuracy of endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration(EUS-FNA)which is the golden standard for pancreatic cancer diagnosis.In addition,there are currently no biomarkers with sufficient sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis ofpancreatic cancer to be applied in the clinic. As the only serum biomarkerapproved by the United States Food and Drug Administration, carbohydrateantigen 19-9 (CA19-9) is not recommended to be used in the early screeningof pancreatic cancer because of its limited specificity. Recently, increasingnumbers of studies focused on the discovering of novel serum biomarkersand exploring their combination with CA19-9 in the detection of pancreaticcancer. Besides, the application of liquid biopsy involving circulating tumor cells(CTCs), circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), microRNAs (miRNAs), and exosomesin blood and biomarkers in urine, and saliva in pancreatic cancer diagnosis aredrawing more and more attention. Furthermore, many innovative technologiessuch as artificial intelligence, computer-aided diagnosis system, metabolomicstechnology, ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) associated technologies, and novelnanomaterials have been tested for the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer andhave shown promising prospects. | 3 | Intestinal microbiota: a potential target for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis显示文摘Postmenopausal osteoporosis(PMO) is a prevalent metabolic bone disease characterized by bone loss and structural destruction, which increases the risk of fracture in postmenopausal women. Owing to the high morbidity and serious complications of PMO, many efforts have been devoted to its prophylaxis and treatment. The intestinal microbiota is the complex community of microorganisms colonizing the gastrointestinal tract. Probiotics, which are dietary or medical supplements consisting of beneficial intestinal bacteria, work in concert with endogenous intestinal microorganisms to maintain host health. Recent studies have revealed that bone loss in PMO is closely related to host immunity, which is influenced by the intestinal microbiota. The curative effects of probiotics on metabolic bone diseases have also been demonstrated. | 6 | Desertification dynamic and the relative roles of climate change and human activities in desertification in the Heihe River Basin based on NPP显示文摘Relative roles of climate change and human activities in desertification are the hotspot of research on desertification dynamic and its driving mechanism.To overcome the shortcomings of existing studies,this paper selected net primary productivity(NPP) as an indicator to analyze desertification dynamic and its impact factors.In addition,the change trends of actual NPP,potential NPP and HNPP(human appropriation of NPP,the difference between potential NPP and actual NPP) were used to analyze the desertification dynamic and calculate the relative roles of climate change,human activities and a combination of the two factors in desertification.In this study,the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)-Normalised Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI) and meteorological data were utilized to drive the Carnegie-Ames-Stanford Approach(CASA) model to calculate the actual NPP from 2001 to 2010 in the Heihe River Basin.Potential NPP was estimated using the Thornthwaite Memorial model.Results showed that 61% of the whole basin area underwent land degradation,of which 90.5% was caused by human activities,8.6% by climate change,and 0.9% by a combination of the two factors.On the contrary,1.5% of desertification reversion area was caused by human activities and 90.7% by climate change,the rest 7.8% by a combination of the two factors.Moreover,it was demonstrated that 95.9% of the total actual NPP decrease was induced by human activities,while 69.3% of the total actual NPP increase was caused by climate change.The results revealed that climate change dominated desertification reversion,while human activities dominated desertification expansion.Moreover,the relative roles of both climate change and human activities in desertification possessed great spatial heterogeneity.Additionally,ecological protection policies should be enhanced in the Heihe River Basin to prevent desertification expansion under the condition of climate change. | Wei ZHOU ZhengGuo SUN JianLong LI ChengCheng GANG ChaoBin ZHANG | 2013 | Journal of Arid Land2013,5,4: | 18 |

Emerging evidence has revealed that the local microbiota make up an important part of the tumor microenvironment across many types of cancer, especially in cancers arising from mucosal sites, including the lung, skin and gastrointestinal tract. The populations of bacteria that reside specifically within tumors have been found to be tumor-type specific, and mechanistic studies have demonstrated that tumor-associated microbiota may directly regulate cancer initiation, progression and responses to chemo- or immuno-therapies. | 9 | Grassland coverage inter-annual variation and its coupling relation with hydrothermal factors in China during 1982-2010显示文摘GIMMS(Global Inventory Modeling and Mapping Studies) NDVI(Normalised Difference Vegetation Index) from 1982 to 2006 and MODIS(Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) NDVI from 2001 to 2010 were blended to extract the grass coverage and analyze its spatial pattern. The response of grass coverage to climatic variations at annual and monthly time scales was analyzed. Grass coverage distribution had increased from northwest to southeast across China. During 1982–2010, the mean nationwide grass coverage was 34% but exhibited apparent spatial heterogeneity, being the highest(61.4%) in slope grasslands and the lowest(17.1%) in desert grasslands. There was a slight increase of the grass coverage with a rate of 0.17% per year. Increase in slope grasslands coverage was as high as 0.27% per year, while in the plain grasslands and meadows the grass coverage increase was the lowest(being 0.11% per year and 0.1% per year, respectively). Across China, the grass coverage with extremely significant increase(P<0.01) and significant increase(P<0.05) accounted for 46.03% and 11% of the total grassland area, respectively, while those with extremely significant and significant decrease accounted for only 4.1% and 3.24%, respectively. At the annual time scale, there are no significant correlations between grass coverage and annual mean temperature and precipitation. However, the grass coverage was somewhat affected by temperature in alpine and sub-alpine grassland, alpine and sub-alpine meadow, slope grassland and meadow, while grass coverage in desert grassland and plain grassland was more affected by precipitation. At the monthly time-scale, there are significant correlations between grass coverage with both temperature and precipitation, indicating that the grass coverage is more affected by seasonal fluctuations of hydrothermal conditions. | 10 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 15 | Effect of selected signals of interest on ultrasonic backscattering measurement in cancellous bones显示文摘This study examined how the signals of interest (SOI) effect on the backscattering measurement numerically based on 3-D finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. High resolution microstructure mappings of bovine cancellous bones provided by micro-CT were used as the input geometry for simulations. Backscatter coefficient (BSC), integrated backscatter coefficient (IBC) and apparent integrated backscatter (AIB) were calculated with changing the start (L1) and duration (L2) of the SOI. The results demonstrated that BSC and IBC decrease as L1 increases, and AIB decreases more rapidly as L1 increases. The backscattering parameters increase with fluctuations as a function of L2 when L2 is less than 6 mm. However, BSC and IBC change little as L2 continues to increase, while AIB slowly decreases as L2 continues to increase. The results showed how the selections of the SOI effect on the backscattering measurement. | 16 | Fabrication of commercial pure Ti by selective laser melting using hydride-dehydride titanium powders treated by ball milling显示文摘Micro-fine sphericalpowders are recommended for selective laser melting(SLM). However, they are mostly expensive due to the complex manufacturing technique and low yield. In this paper, using lowcost treated hydride-dehydride(HDH) Ti powders, commercial pure Ti(CP-Ti) was successfully fabricated by SLM. After 4-h milling, the resulting powders become near-spherical with no obvious angularity, and have optimal flowability with the apparent density of 1.64 ± 0.02 g/cm^3, tap density of 2.10 ± 0.04 g/cm^3,angle of repose 40.11?±0.09?, and Carr's index of 77.74 ± 0.15. The microstructure was determined with full acicular martensitic β phase. The CP-Ti can achieve superior mechanical properties with the ultimate tensile strength of 876.1 ± 20.5 MPa and elongation of(14.7 ± 0.5)%, which exhibit distinctly competitive compared to the as-cast CP-Ti or Ti-6 Al-4 V. | 18 | White Matter Abnormalities in Major Depression Biotypes Identified by Diffusion Tensor Imaging显示文摘Identifying data-driven biotypes of major depressive disorder(MDD) has promise for the clarification of diagnostic heterogeneity. However, few studies have focused on white-matter abnormalities for MDD subtyping. This study included 116 patients with MDD and118 demographically-matched healthy controls assessed by diffusion tensor imaging and neurocognitive evaluation.Hierarchical clustering was applied to the major fiber tracts, in conjunction with tract-based spatial statistics, to reveal white-matter alterations associated with MDD.Clinical and neurocognitive differences were compared between identified subgroups and healthy controls. With fractional anisotropy extracted from 20 fiber tracts, cluster analysis revealed 3 subgroups based on the patterns of abnormalities. Patients in each subgroup versus healthy controls showed a stepwise pattern of white-matter alterations as follows: subgroup 1(25.9% of patient sample),widespread white-matter disruption;subgroup 2(43.1% of patient sample), intermediate and more localized abnormalities in aspects of the corpus callosum and left cingulate;and subgroup 3(31.0% of patient sample),possible mild alterations, but no statistically significant tract disruption after controlling for family-wise error. The neurocognitive impairment in each subgroup accompanied the white-matter alterations: subgroup 1, deficits in sustained attention and delayed memory;subgroup 2, dysfunction in delayed memory;and subgroup 3, no significant deficits. | 19 | GABAergic Abnormalities Associated with Sensorimotor Corticostriatal Community Structural Deficits in ErbB4 Knockout Mice and First-Episode Treatment-Naive Patients with Schizophrenia显示文摘The current study was designed to explore how disruption of specific molecular circuits in the cerebral cortex may cause sensorimotor cortico-striatal community structure deficits in both a mouse model and patients with schizophrenia.We used prepulse inhibition(PPI)and brain structural and diffusion MRI scans in 23 mice with conditional ErbB4 knockout in parvalbumin interneurons and 27 matched controls.Quantitative real-time PCR was used to assess the differential levels of GABA-related transcripts in brain regions.Concurrently,we measured structural and diffusion MRI and the cumulative contribution of risk alleles in the GABA pathway genes in firstepisode treatment-naı¨ve schizophrenic patients(n=117)and in age-and sex-matched healthy controls(n=86).We present the first evidence of gray and white matter impairment of right sensorimotor cortico-striatal networks and reproduced the sensorimotor gating deficit in a mouse model of schizophrenia.Significant correlations between gray matter volumes(GMVs)in the somatosensory cortex and PPI as well as glutamate decarboxylase 1 mRNA expression were found in controls but not in knockout mice.Furthermore,these findings were confirmed in a human sample in which we found significantly decreased gray and white matter in sensorimotor cortico-striatal networks in schizophrenic patients.The psychiatric risk alleles of the GABA pathway also displayed a significant negative correlation with the GMVs of the somatosensory cortex in patients.Our study identified that ErbB4 ablation in parvalbumin interneurons induced GABAergic dysregulation,providing valuable mechanistic insights into the sensorimotor cortico-striatal community structure deficits associated with schizophrenia. | Chengcheng Zhang Peiyan Ni Yikang Liu Yang Tian Jinxue Wei Bo Xiang Liansheng Zhao Xiaojing Li Xiaohong Ma Wei Deng Wanjun Guo Rongjun Ni Yamin Zhang Qiang Wang Hailiang Huang Nanyin Zhang Tao Li | 2020 | Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,2: | 9 |
| 20 | Fabrication of micro-fine high Nb-containing TiAl alloyed powders by fluidized bed jet milling显示文摘A fluidized bed jet milling process was used to make micro-fine high Nb-containing TiAl alloyed powders from the chippings obtained by crushing the Ti-45Al-8.5Nb-(W,B,Y) ingot.The influences of classifier frequency on powder characteristics were investigated.The results show that the powders with controlled average particle size can be prepared on a large scale.The powders with different sizes are all dominated by γ with aminor amount of α2-Ti3Al.The particle size significantly decreases with the classifier frequency increasing.At a classifier frequency higher than 38 Hz,the average particle size of the ground powders is lower than 25μm.The powders are composed of two differ-ent sizes of particles:shaped particles and some clastic particles,and both particle sizes meet the log-normal distribution.With the classifier frequency increasing,the both sizes decrease;meanwhile,the proportion of the clastic particles gradually increases,and the size distribution span value of the ground powders increases correspondingly. | Lu, Xin Zhu, Langping Liu, Chengcheng Zhang, Lin Wu, Mao Qu, Xuanhui | 2012 | Rare Metals2012,31,1: | 8 |
