3A New Kind of Pilot Controlled Proportional Direction Valve with Internal Flow Feedback显示文摘Proportional direction valve is one of the most fundamental elements in electronic-hydraulic control technique. Its function is to control the operating speed, direction, position, and strength of output force of the hydraulic actuator continuously. Considering the different application and the cost, the existing technique mainly includes the internal feedback valve used in open loop system, and the electronic closed loop controlled valve used in closed loop system. Because of their different mechanical structure and the great different in performance, it brings inconvenience for customer to select, also inconvenience for enterprise to produce. Aiming at this problem, the idea of combining the above two kinds of valves into one body is proposed first, and then the new valve’s structure to realize this target is designed. The idea intends to apply the displacement pilot flow feedback control principle in present 2-position 2-way valve system to the proportional direction valve of 3-position 4-way system. Newly designed feed forward controller can decouple the interference between the internal feedback and the electronic closed loop. Redundant conversion is designed to electronic switch mode. Experiment on dynamic and static characteristic of new proportional direction valve in internal feedback control mode and electronic closed loop control mode is discussed to prove the new theory is correct. Although the new valve is of excellent dynamic response characteristic, its steady control characteristic in open loop control mode needs to be improved further. 4Prognostic significance of the fibrinogen-to-albumin ratio in gallbladder cancer patients显示文摘AIM To investigate the prognostic role of fibrinogen-toalbumin ratio(FAR) on patients with gallbladder cancer(Gbc) in this study.METHODS One hundred and fifty-four Gbc patients were retro-spectively analyzed, who received potentially curative cholecystectomy in our institute from March 2005 to December 2017. Receiver operating characteristic curve(ROc curve) was used to determine the optimal cut-offs for these biomarkers. In addition, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis as well as multivariate analysis were applied for prognostic analyses.RESULTS ROc curve revealed that the optimal cut-off value for FAR was 0.08. FAR was significantly correlated with age(P = 0.045), jaundice(P < 0.001), differentiation(P = 0.002), resection margin status(P < 0.001), T stage(P < 0.001), TNM stage(P < 0.001), and c A199(P < 0.001) as well as albumin levels(P < 0.001). Multivariate analysis indicated that the resection margin status [hazard ratio(HR): 2.343, 95% confidence interval(c I): 1.532-3.581, P < 0.001], TNM stage(P = 0.035), albumin level(HR = 0.595, 95%c I: 0.385-0.921, P = 0.020) and FAR(HR: 2.813, 95%c I: 1.765-4.484, P < 0.001) were independent prognostic factors in Gbc patients.CONCLUSION An elevated preoperative FAR was significantly correlated with unfavorable overall survival in Gbc patients, while an elevated preoperative albumin level was a protective prognostic factor for patients with Gbc. 5Cadmium Accumulation and Translocation in Two Jerusalem Artichoke(Helianthus tuberosus L.) Cultivars显示文摘Jerusalem artichoke(Helianthus tuberosus L.) not just can be used for bioethanol production but may be potentially used in phytoremediation for the removal of heavy metal pollutants.Two Jerusalem artichoke cultivars,N2 and N5,were subjected to six cadmium(Cd) concentrations(0,5,25,50,100 and 200 mg L1) to investigate Cd tolerance and accumulation.After 21 days of growth,the effects of Cd on growth,chlorophyll content,net photosynthetic rate,intercellular CO2 concentration and malondialdehyde content were evaluated.Most growth parameters were reduced under Cd stress.The two Jerusalem artichoke cultivars had relatively high Cd tolerance and accumulation capacity(> 100 mg kg1),with N5 being more tolerant and having higher Cd accumulation than N2.Roots accumulated more Cd than stems and leaves.The bioconcentration factors(far higher than 1) and translocation factors(lower than 1) decreased with an increase in Cd applied.The results suggested that Jerusalem artichoke could be grown at relatively high Cd loads,and N5 could be an excellent candidate for phytoremediation of Cd-contaminated soils.CHEN Liang LONG Xiao-Hua ZHANG Zhen-Hua ZHENG Xiao-Tao Z. 6mm Wave communications for 5G: implementation challenges and advances显示文摘The requirement of the fifth generation(5 G) wireless communication for high throughput motivates the wireless industry to use the mm Wave(millimeter wave) communications for its wide bandwidth advantage. To compensate the heavy path loss and increase the communications capacity, phased array beamforming and massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) techniques are employed at both the user equipment(UE) and base stations(BS). Considering the commercial requirements, 5 G mm Wave large array systems should be implemented in an energy-and cost-efficient way with a small form factor. To address above issues and realize a reliable communications link, taking into account the particular characteristics of5 G mm Wave systems, this paper firstly examines the design challenges and trade-offs in system implementations, then some of the design strategies are summarized. 9Melatonin alleviates intervertebral disc degeneration by disrupting the IL-1β/NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammasome positive feedback loop显示文摘The inflammatory response is induced by the overexpression of inflammatory cytokines, mainly interleukin(IL)-1β, and is one of the main causes of intervertebral disc degeneration(IVDD). NLR pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3) inflammasome activation is an important source of IL-1β. As an anti-inflammatory neuroendocrine hormone, melatonin plays various roles in different pathophysiological conditions. However, its roles in IVDD are still not well understood and require more examination. First, we demonstrated that melatonin delayed the progression of IVDD and relieved IVDD-related low back pain in a rat needle puncture IVDD model;moreover, NLRP3 inflammasome activation(NLRP3, p20, and IL-1β levels) was significantly upregulated in severely degenerated human discs and a rat IVDD model. Subsequently, an IL-1β/NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammasome activation positive feedback loop was found in nucleus pulposus(NP) cells that were treated with IL-1β. In these cells, expression of NLRP3 and p20 was significantly increased, NF-κB signaling was involved in this regulation, and mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(mt ROS)production increased. Furthermore, we found that melatonin disrupted the IL-1β/NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammasome activation positive feedback loop in vitro and in vivo. Melatonin treatment decreased NLRP3, p20, and IL-1β levels by inhibiting NF-κB signaling and downregulating mt ROS production. Finally, we showed that melatonin mediated the disruption of the positive feedback loop of IL-1β in vivo. In this study, we showed for the first time that IL-1β promotes its own expression by upregulating NLRP3 inflammasome activation. 12An improved three-dimensional spherical DDA model for simulating rock failure显示文摘In this paper, a discontinuous numerical model, namely SDDARF3D(three-dimensional spherical discontinuous deformation analysis for rock failure), is proposed for simulating the whole process of rock failure. Firstly, within the framework of the classical discontinuous deformation analysis(DDA) method, the formulation of three-dimensional spherical DDA(3D SDDA) is deduced; secondly, a bonding and cracking algorithm is constructed and the SDDARF3 D model is proposed; thirdly, corresponding VC++ calculation code is developed and some verification examples are calculated. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 15Comparative investigation on high-speed grinding of TiCp/Ti–6Al–4V particulate reinforced titanium matrix composites with single-layer electroplated and brazed CBN wheels显示文摘In order to develop the high-efficiency and precision machining technique of Ti Cp/Ti–6Al–4V particulate reinforced titanium matrix composites(PTMCs), high-speed grinding experiments were conducted using the single-layer electroplated cubic boron nitride(CBN) wheel and brazed CBN wheel, respectively. The comparative grinding performance was studied in terms of grinding force, grinding temperature, grinding-induced surface features and defects. The results display that the grinding forces and grinding temperature obtained with the brazed CBN wheel are always lower than those with the electroplated CBN wheel. Though the voids and microcracks are the dominant grinding-induced surface defects, the brazed CBN wheel produces less surface defects compared to the electroplated wheel according to the statistical analysis results. The maximum materials removal rate with the brazed CBN wheel is much higher than that with the electroplated one. 17Major advances in studies of the physical geography and living environment of China during the past 70 years and future prospects显示文摘The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. 18Genome size and sequence composition of moso bamboo: A comparative study显示文摘Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens) is one of the world's most important bamboo species. It has the largest area of all planted bamboo―over two-thirds of the total bamboo forest area―and the highest economic value in China. Moso bamboo is a tetraploid (4x=48) and a special member of the grasses family. Although several genomes have been sequenced or are being sequenced in the grasses family, we know little about the genome of the bambusoids (bamboos). In this study, the moso bamboo genome size was estimated to be about 2034 Mb by flow cytometry (FCM), using maize (cv. B73) and rice (cv. Nipponbare) as internal references. The rice genome has been sequenced and the maize genome is being sequenced. We found that the size of the moso bamboo genome was similar to that of maize but significantly larger than that of rice. To determine whether the bamboo genome had a high proportion of repeat elements, similar to that of the maize genome, approximately 1000 genome survey sequences (GSS) were generated. Sequence analysis showed that the proportion of repeat elements was 23.3% for the bamboo genome, which is significantly lower than that of the maize ge-nome (65.7%). The bamboo repeat elements were mainly Gypsy/DIRS1 and Ty1/Copia LTR retrotrans-posons (14.7%), with a few DNA transposons. However, more genomic sequences are needed to con-firm the above results due to several factors, such as the limitation of our GSS data. This study is the first to investigate sequence composition of the bamboo genome.
