1Diagnostic value of 5 serum biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma with different epidemiological backgrounds:A large-scale,retrospective study显示文摘Objective:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a lethal global disease that requires an accurate diagnosis.We assessed the potential of 5 serum biomarkers(AFP,AFU,GGT-II,GPC3,and HGF)in the diagnosis of HCC.Methods:In this retrospective study,we measured the serum levels of each biomarker using ELISAs in 921 participants,including 298 patients with HCC,154 patients with chronic hepatitis(CH),122 patients with liver cirrhosis(LC),and 347 healthy controls from 3 hospitals.Patients negative for hepatitis B surface antigen and hepatitis C antibody(called'NBNC-HCC')and patients positive for the above indices(called'HBV-HCC and HCV-HCC')were enrolled.The selected diagnostic model was constructed using a training cohort(n=468),and a validation cohort(n=453)was used to validate our results.Receiver operating characteristic analysis was used to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy.Results:Theα-L-fucosidase(AFU)/α-fetoprotein(AFP)combination was best able to distinguish NBNC-HCC[area under the curve:0.986(95%confidence interval:0.958–0.997),sensitivity:92.6%,specificity:98.9%]from healthy controls in the test cohort.For screening populations at risk of developing HCC(CH and LC),the AFP/AFU combination improved the diagnostic specificity for early-stage HCC[area under the curve:0.776(0.712–0.831),sensitivity:52.5%,specificity:91.6%in the test group].In all-stage HBV-HCC and HCV-HCC,AFU was also the best candidate biomarker combined with AFP[area under the curve:0.835(0.784–0.877),sensitivity 69.1%,specificity:87.4%in the test group].All results were verified in the validation group.Conclusions:The AFP/AFU combination could be used to identify NBNC-HCC from healthy controls and hepatitis-related HCC from at-risk patients.Dongming Liu Yi Luo Lu Chen Liwei Chen Duo Zuo Yueguo Li Xiaofang Zhang Jing Wu Qing Xi Guangtao Li Lisha Qi Xiaofen Yue Xiehua Zhang Zhuoyu Sun Ning Zhang Tianqiang Song Wei Lu Hua Guo 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:10
2Effect of Surface Mechanical Attrition Treatment on Tribological Behavior of the AZ31 Alloy显示文摘By surface mechanical attrition treatment(SMAT),a gradient nano structure(GNS) from the surface to center was generated in the AZ31 alloy sheet.The tribological behavior of AZ31 alloy with GNS was systematically investigated by using dry sliding tests,a 3D surface profile-meter and a scanning electron microscope equipped with an energy-dispersive spectrometer.The experimental results indicate that the Mg alloy with GNS exhibits better wear resistance comparing to the as-received sample,which is associated to the alteration of wear mechanism at different sliding speeds.The Mg alloy with GNS presents the wear mechanism of the abrasive wear at 0.05 m/s and the oxidative wear at 0.5 m/s,respectively.Moreover,the GNS can effectively promote the reaction between the oxygen and worn surface,which leads to a compact oxidation layer at 0.5 m/s.The effect of oxidation layer on the wear resistance of the Mg alloy was also discussed.Shuangwu Xia Yong Liu Dongming Fu Bin Jin Jian Lu 2016Journal of Materials Science & Technology2016,32,12:7
3Dynamic analysis of slab track on multi-layered transversely isotropic saturated soils subjected to train loads显示文摘The dynamic responses of a slab track on transversely isotropic saturated soils subjected to moving train loads are investigated by a semi-analytical approach. The track model is described as an upper Euler beam to simulate the rails and a lower Euler beam to model the slab. Rail pads between the rails and slab are represented by a continuous layer of springs and dashpots. A series of point loads are formulated to describe the moving train loads. The governing equations of track-ground systems are solved using the double Fourier transform, and the dynamic responses in the time domain are obtained by the inverse Fourier transform. The results show that a train load with high velocity will generate a larger response in transversely isotropic saturated soil than the lower velocity load, and special attention should be paid on the pore pressure in the vicinity of the ground surface. The anisotropic parameters of a surface soil layer will have greater influence on the displacement and excess pore water pressure than those of the subsoil layer. 4The genome of Magnolia biondii Pamp. provides insights into the evolution of Magnoliales and biosynthesis of terpenoids显示文摘Magnolia biondii Pamp.(Magnoliaceae,magnoliids)is a phylogenetically,economically,and medicinally important ornamental tree species widely grown and cultivated in the north-temperate regions of China.Determining the genome sequence of M.biondii would help resolve the phylogenetic uncertainty of magnoliids and improve the understanding of individual trait evolution within the Magnolia genus.We assembled a chromosome-level reference genome of M.biondii using~67,~175,and~154Gb of raw DNA sequences generated via Pacific Biosciences single-molecule real-time sequencing,10X Genomics Chromium,and Hi-C scaffolding strategies,respectively.The final genome assembly was~2.22Gb,with a contig N50 value of 269.11 kb and a BUSCO complete gene percentage of 91.90%.Approximately 89.17%of the genome was organized into 19 chromosomes,resulting in a scaffold N50 of 92.86Mb.The genome contained 47,547 protein-coding genes,accounting for 23.47%of the genome length,whereas 66.48%of the genome length consisted of repetitive elements.We confirmed a WGD event that occurred very close to the time of the split between the Magnoliales and Laurales.Functional enrichment of the Magnolia-specific and expanded gene families highlighted genes involved in the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites,plant–pathogen interactions,and responses to stimuli,which may improve the ecological fitness and biological adaptability of the lineage.Phylogenomic analyses revealed a sister relationship of magnoliids and Chloranthaceae,which are sister to a clade comprising monocots and eudicots.The genome sequence of M.biondii could lead to trait improvement,germplasm conservation,and evolutionary studies on the rapid radiation of early angiosperms.Shanshan Dong Min Liu Yang Liu Fei Chen Ting Yang Lu Chen Xingtan Zhang Xing Guo Dongming Fang Linzhou Li Tian Deng Zhangxiu Yao Xiaoan Lang Yiqing Gong Ernest Wu Yaling Wang Yamei Shen Xun Gong Huan Liu Shouzhou Zhang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:4
5Flexible Operation Mode of Coal-fired Power Unit Coupling with Heat Storage of Extracted Reheat Steam显示文摘In order to provide more grid space for the renewable energy power,the traditional coal-fired power unit should be operated flexibility,especially achieved the deep peak shaving capacity.In this paper,a new scheme using the reheat steam extraction is proposed to further reduce the load far below 50%rated power.Two flexible operation modes of increasing power output mode and reducing fuel mode are proposed in heat discharging process.A 600 MW coal-fired power unit with 50%rated power is chosen as the research model.The results show that the power output is decreased from 300.03 MW to 210.07 MW when the extracted reheat steam flow rate is 270.70 t·h^(-1),which increases the deep peak shaving capacity by 15%rated power.The deep peak shaving time and the thermal efficiency are 7.63 h·d^(-1)and 36.91%respectively for the increasing power output mode,and they are 7.24 h·d^(-1)and 36.58%respectively for the reducing fuel mode.The increasing power output mode has the advantages of higher deep peak shaving time and the thermal efficiency,which is recommended as the preferred scheme for the flexible operation of the coal-fired power unit.WEI Haijiao LU Yuanwei YANG Yanchun ZHANG Cancan WU Yuting LI Weidong ZHAO Dongming 2022Journal of Thermal Science2022,31,2:3

7Periostin mediates epithelial-mesenchymal transition through the MAPK/ERK pathway in hepatoblastoma显示文摘Objective: The aim of the present study was to analyze the prognostic factors in patients with hepatoblastoma(HB) in our single center and to evaluate periostin(POSTN) expression in HB and its association with clinicopathological variables. In addition, the underlying mechanism of how POSTN promotes HB progression was discussed.Methods: POSTN expression was investigated in HB tumors by immunohistochemistry(IHC), immunofluorescence(IF) and Western blot(WB). The association among POSTN expression, clinicopathological features and overall survival(OS) was also evaluated. The migration and adhesion ability of HB cells were measured using chemotaxis and cell-matrix adhesion assays,respectively. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)-associated markers and activation of the ERK pathway were detected by WB.Results: HB patients had poor prognosis which displayed lymph node metastasis, vascular invasion, POSTN and vimentin expression. POSTN expression was also associated with lymph node metastasis. Furthermore, overexpressed POSTN promoted migration and the adhesive ability of HB cells in vitro. In addition, we demonstrated that POSTN activated the MAPK/ERK pathway, upregulated the expression of Snail and decreased the expression of OVOL2. 8Cytosolic phospholipase A2α modulates cell-matrix adhesion via the FAK/paxillin pathway in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Objective: To explore the effect of cytosolic phospholipase A2α(cPLA2α) on hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) cell adhesion and the underlying mechanisms.Methods: Cell adhesion, detachment, and hanging-drop assays were utilized to examine the effect of cPLA2α on the cell-matrix and cell-cell adhesion. Downstream substrates and effectors of cPLA2α were screened via a phospho-antibody microarray.Associated signaling pathways were identified by the functional annotation tool DAVID. Candidate proteins were verified using Western blot and colocalization was investigated via immunofluorescence. Western blot and immunohistochemistry were used to detect protein expression in HCC tissues. Prognosis evaluation was conducted using Kaplan-Meier and Cox-proportional hazards regression analyses.Results: Our findings showed that cPLA2α knockdown decreases cell-matrix adhesion but increases cell-cell adhesion in HepG2 cells. Microarray analysis revealed that phosphorylation of multiple proteins at specific sites were regulated by cPLA2α. These phosphorylated proteins were involved in various biological processes. In addition, our results indicated that the focal adhesion pathway was highly enriched in the cPLA2α-relevant signaling pathway. Furthermore, cPLA2α was found to elevate phosphorylation levels of FAK and paxillin, two crucial components of focal adhesion. Moreover, localization of p-FAK to focal adhesions in the plasma membrane was significantly reduced with the downregulation of cPLA2α. Clinically, cPLA2α expression was positively correlated with p-FAK levels. 10Biocrude oil production from Chlorella sp.cultivated in anaerobic digestate after UF membrane treatment显示文摘Algae cultivation in animal wastewater could recover nutrient resources,and harvest considerable amount of algae biomass for biofuel conversion.In this study,Chlorella sp.cultivated in ultrafiltration(UF)membrane treated anaerobic digestion effluent of chicken manure was converted into biocrude oil through hydrothermal liquefaction(HTL).The potential of biocrude production from grown Chlorella sp.was studied through changing the operational conditions of HTL,i.e.,holding temperature(HT,250℃-330℃),retention time(RT,0.5-1.5 h),and total solid(TS)(15 wt%-25 wt%)of the feedstock.The highest biocrude oil yield was 32.9%at 330℃,1.5 h and 20 wt%TS.The single factor experiments of HT also suggested that the biocrude oil yield decreased when the temperature was higher than 330℃.There were no significant differences of elemental contents in biocrude samples.The maximum higher heating values(HHV)of Chlorella sp.biocrude was 40.04 MJ/kg at HT of 330℃,RT of 1 h and TS of 15 wt%.This study suggests the great potential for energy recovery from Chlorella sp.cultivated in UF membrane treated anaerobic digestion effluent via HTL.Wang Meng Wang Xinfeng Zhu Zhangbing Lu Jianwen Yuanhui Zhang Li Baoming Lu Haifeng Duan Na Zhang Dongming Dong Taili Liu Zhidan 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,1:1

14Enhancement of MoTe2 near-infrared absorption with gold hollow nanorods for photodetection显示文摘Infrared(IR)light photodetection based on two dimensional(2D)materials of proper bandgap has attracted increasing attention.However,the weak IR absorption in 2D materials,due to their ultrathin attribute and indirect bandgap in multilayer structures,degrades their performance when used as IR photodetectors.In this work,we utilize the fact that few-layer MoTe2 flake has a near-IR(NIR)bandgap and demonstrate a^60-fold enhancement of NIR response by introducing a gold hollow nanorods on the surface.Such gold hollow nanorods have distinct absorption peak located also at the NIR regime,therefore induces strong resonance,benefitting NIR absorption in MoTe2,resulting in strong near-field enhancement.With the evidence from steady and transient state optical spectra,we confirm that the enhancement of NIR response originates only photon absorption,rather than electron transport at interfaces as observed in other heterostructures,therefore,precluding the requirement of high-quality interfaces for commercial applications.Jiawen You Ye Yu Kai Cai Dongming Zhou Haiming Zhu Renyan Wang Qingfu Zhang Hongwei Liu Yuting Cai Dong Lu Jang-Kyo Kim Lin Gan Tianyou Zhai Zhengtang Luo 2020Nano Research2020,13,6:1
15Visualized Degradation of CO_(2)-Based Unsaturated Polyesters toward Structure-Controlled and High-Value-Added Fluorophores显示文摘In comparing with traditional polymer degradation toward unknown or unvalued products(i.e.,downcycling),new methods to degrade polymers into monomers or high-value-added materials(i.e.,upcycling)are preferable for sustainable developments.In this work,CO_(2)-based linear and cross-linked unsaturated polyesters,that is,poly(alkynoate)s,were successfully degraded by benzamidine into diols and high-value-added pyrimidone or imidazolone derivatives through controlled reaction conditions.The degradation process could be visualized under UV light via gradually increased luminescent intensity of the reaction mixtures and fluorescence patterns could be generated through microcontact printing of the stamp on the thin films of poly(alkynoate)s.Moreover,the pyrimidone derivatives could be applied in bioimaging and inhibiting bacteria,and the imidazolone derivatives could be used for the detection and recovery of gold(III)ions from electronic waste and serve as the fluorescent sensor to detect in situ-generated amines from food spoilage.Thus,this work presents a visualized and high value productselective degradation to solve the end-of-life issue of polymers.Bo Song Tianwen Bai Dongming Liu Rong Hu Dan Lu Anjun Qin Jun Ling Ben Zhong Tang 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,1:1
