| 1 | An Examination of the Predictability of Tropical Cyclone Genesis in High-Resolution Coupled Models with Dynamically Downscaled Coupled Data Assimilation Initialization显示文摘Predicting tropical cyclone(TC)genesis is of great societal importance but scientifically challenging.It requires fineresolution coupled models that properly represent air−sea interactions in the atmospheric responses to local warm sea surface temperatures and feedbacks,with aid from coherent coupled initialization.This study uses three sets of highresolution regional coupled models(RCMs)covering the Asia−Pacific(AP)region initialized with local observations and dynamically downscaled coupled data assimilation to evaluate the predictability of TC genesis in the West Pacific.The APRCMs consist of three sets of high-resolution configurations of the Weather Research and Forecasting−Regional Ocean Model System(WRF-ROMS):27-km WRF with 9-km ROMS,and 9-km WRF with 3-km ROMS.In this study,a 9-km WRF with 9-km ROMS coupled model system is also used in a case test for the predictability of TC genesis.Since the local sea surface temperatures and wind shear conditions that favor TC formation are better resolved,the enhanced-resolution coupled model tends to improve the predictability of TC genesis,which could be further improved by improving planetary boundary layer physics,thus resolving better air−sea and air−land interactions. | Mingkui LI Shaoqing ZHANG Lixin WU Xiaopei LIN Ping CHANG Gohkan DANABASOGLU Zhiqiang WEI Xiaolin YU Huiqin HU Xiaohui MA Weiwei MA Haoran ZHAO Dongning JIA Xin LIU Kai MAO Youwei MA Yingjing JIANG Xue WANG Guangliang LIU Yuhu CHEN | 2020 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,9: | 4 |
| 2 | Comparison of VP broadband tiltmeter and VS vertical pendulum tiltmeter显示文摘Vertical pendulum(VP) tiltmeter is a kind of earthquake precursor observation equipment,which is used to record the interaction force associated with astronomical tidal tilts caused. Currently, VP broadband tiltmeter and vertical sensor(VS) vertical pendulum tiltmeter are primarily used. In this paper, we compare the two different instruments by using four aspectsdmechanical structure, circuitry, zeroing, and bandwidthdbased on their working principles and applications. Using PCR-based amplification, two different restriction sites at both ends of tobacco Bax inhibitor-1 (NtBI-1) gene were created, respectively, which made the construction of ihpRNA gene silencing vector more efficiently. Then, NtBI-1 genes were inserted into Multiple Cloning Site (MCS) of pGSA2285 respectively to form Bax inhibitor-1 ihpRNA gene silencing vector, named as pGSA4285, containing sense and anti-sense BI-1 sequence which was spliced by chalcone synthase intron. | 8 | Research Progress on Pharmacological Action and Clinical Application of Stephania Tetrandrae Radix显示文摘Stephania Tetrandrae Radix is one of the common traditional Chinese medicines,which has bitter and pungent taste as well as cold properties. It can subside edema,get rid of rheumatism and relieve pain. Therefore,it is mainly used for the treatment of rheumatism arthralgia,edema,dysuria,athlete's foot,swollen wet sores and other diseases in traditional Chinese medicine( TCM). Stephania Tetrandrae Radix is mainly composed of dual-benzyl isoquinoline alkaloids,including tetrandrine,fangchinoline and so on. Modern pharmacology research shows that Stephania Tetrandrae Radix and its main components have a wide range of pharmacological activity in the anti-inflammatory,anti-pathogenic microorganisms,anti-tumor,anti-hypertension,anti-arrhythmia,anti-myocardial ischemia,anti-fibrosis,anti-silicosis,inhibiting scar and other aspects,with broad application prospect. Stephania Tetrandrae Radix is often applied with compatibility of other Chinese medicines in clinically,and has achieved obvious effects in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis,cardiovascular disease,cancer,hypertension,liver ascites and other diseases. There are some representative prescriptions,such as Fangji Fuling decoction,Fangji Huangqi decoction,Jijiao Lihuang pill,Xuanbi decoction,compound Hanfangji granule and so on. Effect of chemical component, preparation conditions on the performance of the phosphor was studied by using TG-DTG, XRD and phosphor relative brightness meter. It is found that the host (BaxCa 1-x)3(PO4)2 is present as a distorted Ca3(PO4)2 structure. Ce 3+ acts as a sensitiser, and Mn 2+ is activator. By energy transfer from Ce 3+ to Mn 2+, Mn 2+ is activated and emits red light with wavelength around 650 nm. | 13 | Oxygen-deficient MoO_(x)/Ni_(3)S_(2) heterostructure grown on nickel foam as efficient and durable self-supported electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘High-performance and ultra-durable electrocatalysts are vital for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)during water splitting.Herein,by one-pot solvothermal method,MoO_(x)/Ni_(3)S_(2) spheres comprising Ni_(3)S_(2) nanoparticles inside and oxygen-deficient amorphous MoO_(x) outside in situ grow on Ni foam(NF),to assembly the heterostructure composites of MoO_(x)/Ni_(3)S_(2)/NF.By adjusting volume ratio of the solvents of ethanol to water,the optimized MoO_(x)/Ni_(3)S_(2)/NF-11 exhibits the best HER performance,requiring an extremely low overpotential of 76 mV to achieve the current density of 10 mA∙cm‒2(η_(10)=76 mV)and an ultra-small Tafel slope of 46 mV∙dec^(-1) in 0.5 mol∙L^(-1) H_(2)SO_(4).More importantly,the catalyst shows prominent high catalytic stability for HER(>100 h).The acid-resistant MoO_(x) wraps the inside Ni_(3)S_(2)/NF to ensure the high stability of the catalyst under acidic conditions.Density functional theory calculations confirm that the existing oxygen vacancy and MoO_(x)/Ni_(3)S_(2) heterostructure are both beneficial to the reduced Gibbs free energy of hydrogen adsorption(|∆G_(H*)|)over Mo sites,which act as main active sites.The heterostructure effectively decreases the formation energy of O vacancy,leading to surface reconstruction of the catalyst,further improving HER performance.The MoO_(x)/Ni_(3)S_(2)/NF is promising to serve as a highly effective and durable electrocatalyst toward HER. | Zihuan Yu Haiqing Yan Chaonan Wang Zheng Wang Huiqin Yao Rong Liu Cheng Li Shulan Ma | 2023 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,4: | 0 |
| 14 | A new spectral index for the quantitative identification of yellow rust using fungal spore information显示文摘Yellow rust(Puccinia striiformis f.sp.Tritici)is a frequently occurring fungal disease of winter wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).During yellow rust infestation,fungal spores appear on the surface of the leaves as yellow and narrow stripes parallel to the leaf veins.We analyzed the effect of the fungal spores on the spectra of the diseased leaves to find a band sensitive to yellow rust and established a new vegetation index called the yellow rust spore index(YRSI).The estimation accuracy and stability were evaluated using two years of leaf spectral data,and the results were compared with eight indices commonly used for yellow rust detection.The results showed that the use of the YRSI ranked first for estimating the disease ratio for the 2017 spectral data(R^(2)=0.710,RMSE=0.097)and outperformed the published indices(R^(2)=0.587,RMSE=0.120)for the validation using the 2002 spectral data.The random forest(RF),k-nearest neighbor(KNN),and support vector machine(SVM)algorithms were used to test the discrimination ability of the YRSI and the eight commonly used indices using a mixed dataset of yellow-rust-infested,healthy,and aphid–infested wheat spectral data.The YRSI provided the best performance. | Yu Ren Huichun Ye Wenjiang Huang Huiqin Ma Anting Guo Chao Ruan Linyi Liu Binxiang Qian | 2021 | Big Earth Data2021,5,2: | 0 |
| 15 | Synergistic effect of V and Fe in Ni/Fe/V ternary layered double hydroxides for efficient and durable oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘High-performance and stable electrocatalysts are vital for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Herein,via a one-pot hydrothermal method,Ni/Fe/V ternary layered double hydroxides(NiFeV-LDH)derived from Ni foam are fabricated to work as highly active and durable electrocatalysts for OER.By changing the feeding ratio of Fe and V salts,the prepared ternary hydroxides were optimized.At an Fe:V ratio of 0.5:0.5,NiFeV-LDH exhibits outstanding OER activity superior to that of the binary hydroxides,requiring overpotentials of 269 and 274 mV at 50 mA·cm^(−2)in the linear sweep voltammetry and sampled current voltammetry measurements,respectively.Importantly,NiFeV-LDH shows extraordinary long-term stability(≥75 h)at an extremely high current density of 200 mA·cm^(−2).In contrast,the binary hydroxides present quick decay at 200 mA·cm^(−2)or even reduced current densities(150 and 100 mA·cm^(−2)).The outstanding OER performance of NiFeV-LDH benefits from the synergistic effect of V and Fe while doping the third metal into bimetallic hydroxide layers:(a)Fe plays a crucial role as the active site;(b)electron-withdrawing V stabilizes the high valence state of Fe,thus accelerating the OER process;(c)V further offers great stabilization for the formed intermediate of FeOOH,thus achieving superior durability. | Lihong Chen Ruxin Deng Shaoshi Guo Zihuan Yu Huiqin Yao Zhenglong Wu Keren Shi Huifeng Li Shulan Ma | 2023 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,1: | 0 |
