1Altered trends in carbon uptake in China’s terrestrial ecosystems under the enhanced summer monsoon and warming hiatus显示文摘The carbon budgets in terrestrial ecosystems in China are strongly coupled with climate changes.Over the past decade,China has experienced dramatic climate changes characterized by enhanced summer monsoon and decelerated warming.However,the changes in the trends of terrestrial net ecosystem production(NEP)in China under climate changes are not well documented.Here,we used three ecosystem models to simulate the spatiotemporal variations in China's NEP during 1982–2010 and quantify the contribution of the strengthened summer monsoon and warming hiatus to the NEP variations in four distinct climatic regions of the country.Our results revealed a decadal-scale shift in NEP from a downtrend of–5.95 Tg C/yr^2(reduced sink)during 1982–2000 to an uptrend of 14.22 Tg C/yr^2(enhanced sink)during 2000–10.This shift was essentially induced by the strengthened summer monsoon,which stimulated carbon uptake,and the warming hiatus,which lessened the decrease in the NEP trend.Compared to the contribution of 56.3%by the climate effect,atmospheric CO2 concentration and nitrogen deposition had relatively small contributions(8.6 and 11.3%,respectively)to the shift.In conclusion,within the context of the global-warming hiatus,the strengthening of the summer monsoon is a critical climate factor that enhances carbon uptake in China due to the asymmetric response of photosynthesis and respiration.Our study not only revealed the shift in ecosystem carbon sequestration in China in recent decades,but also provides some insight for understanding ecosystem carbon dynamics in other monsoonal areas.Honglin He Shaoqiang Wang Li Zhang Junbang Wang Xiaoli Ren Lei Zhou Shilong Piao Hao Yan Weimin Ju Fengxue Gu Shiyong Yu Yuanhe Yang Miaomiao Wang Zhongen Niu Rcmg Ge Huimin Yan Mei Huang Guoyi Zhou Yongfei Bai Zongqiang Xie Zhiyao Tang Bingfang Wu Leiming Zhang Nianpeng He Qiufeng Wang Guirui Yu 2019National Science Review2019,6,3:24
2The seasonal cycle of interhemispheric oscillations in mass field of the global atmosphere显示文摘Using the daily and monthly data of surface air pressure, meridional wind, radiation and water vapor from NCEP/NCAR reanalysis for the period of 1979―2006, we have examined the seasonal variations of the interhemispheric oscillations (IHO) in mass field of the global atmosphere. Our results have demonstrated that IHO as observed in surface air pressure field shows the distinct seasonal cycle. This seasonal cycle has an interhemispheric seesaw structure with comparable annual ranges of surface air pressure in the Southern and Northern Hemispheres. Mass of water vapor changes out-of-phase between the Southern and Northern Hemispheres, showing clearly a seasonal cycle with its annual range almost equivalent to annual range of the IHO seasonal cycle. Amazingly, the cross-equatorial flow is found to be induced by annual changes in water vapor mass as a response of the atmosphere to seasonal cycle of forcing from hemispheric net surface short- and long-wave radiations. The IHO seasonality exhibits its larger variations in magnitude in mid-latitudes other than in other regions of the globe. Additionally, our results also show that the global air mass is redistributed seasonally not only between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres but also between land and sea. 10Effects of chlorine dioxide on morphology and ultrastructure of Fusarium sulphureum and its virulence to potato tubers显示文摘The inhibitory effect and its virulence of chlorine dioxide(ClO_(2))against dry rot of potato were investigated.Potatoes were treated by ClO_(2),then observed for indoor bioassay,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)were used to observe the morphology and ultrastructure of hyphae,and evaluated the control efficiency of ClO_(2) on potato tuber(LK99)dry rot by F.sulphureum pre-treatment.The results showed that the pathogen of potato dry rot was sensitive to ClO_(2),the virulence of regression of y=5.05+7.308x,EC50 and EC90 were 0.3490 and 0.6261 respectively,the treatment of ClO_(2) could significantly inhibit the spore germination and mycelium growth of F.sulphureum,which was in a concentration-dependent manner,SEM and TEM observed that the morphology and ultrastructure of F.sulphureum hyphae were regularly damaged by ClO_(2),in vivo experiment further indicated that ClO_(2) could effectively control the dry rot of potato tubers with F.sulphureum,and ClO_(2) at the concentration of 0.75 ug/mL could significantly reduce the incidence of potato tuber dry rot and lesion expansion rate.The study showed that ClO_(2) could greatly against the pathogen of F.sulphureum,which could provide a scientific theoretical basis for the safe and efficient application of ClO_(2) in the prevention and control of potato diseases after harvest.Li Mei Tian Shilong Shen Jin Wang Xizhuo Cheng Jianxin Li Shouqiang Ge Xia Tian Jiachun 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,5:1
11Photochemical properties of a new kind of anti-cancer drug: N-glycoside compound显示文摘Due to the nontoxicity and efficient anti-cancer activity, more and more attention has been paid to N-glycoside compounds. Laser photolysis of N-(α-D-glucopyranoside) salicyloyl hydrazine (NGSH) has been performed for the first time. The research results show that NGSH has high photosensitivity and is vulnerable to be photo-ionized via a monophotonic process with a quantum yield of 0.02, generating NGSH+· and hydrated electrons. Under the aerobic condition of cells, the hydrated electrons are very easy to combine with oxygen to generate 1O2 and O2-, both of which are powerful oxidants that can kill the cancer cells. In addition, NGSH+· can be changed into neutral radicals by deprotonation with a pKa value of 4.02 and its decay constant was determined to be 2.55×109dm3·mol-1·s-1. NGSH also can be oxidized by SO4-. with a rate constant of 1.76×109 dm3·mol-1.s-1, which further confirms the results of photoionization. 12Subdivision and Correlation of Middle and Upper Cambria in North China in Light of Sequence Stratigraphy显示文摘Correlation of Middle and Late Cambrian cyclic carbonates from the widely separated Zhangxia section, Qingxing section, Xishan section and Zhaogezhuang section has defined five major third-order depositional sequences. Correlation of biostratigraphy is used to establish the equivalency of stratigraphic sequences between individual sections. Even though the individ- ual sections are composed of different lithofacies and meter-scale cycles that reflect the varied environmental settings in the localities, the overall upward shallowing character of individ- ual sequences is evident. The sequences, named on their relation to the regional stages in range, are in ascending order: Zhangxia Sequence, Gushan Sequence, Guchang Sequence, Changshan Sequence and Fengshan Sequence, of which the upper four sequences were correlated with those defined by Osleger and Read in the United States, with the aid of biostratigraphic correlation. The Middle/Upper Cambrian boundary is tentatively suggested to be between the Guchang Sequence and the Changshan Sequence in North China. 13The Best Natural Boundary:a New Concept Developed by Combining the Sequence Boundary with the GSSP显示文摘Through a detailed study of sequence boundaries, it is concluded that sequence stratigraphy is an independent regional and transitional stratigraphic system between local lithostratigraphy and global chronostratigraphy. Therefore, a new tripartite stratigraphic classification scheme has been proposed. By combining organically the concept of sequence boundaries with the GSSP, it is suggested that the GSSP should be chosen in a conformale portion of a related sequence boundary, and the boundary established in light of this concept is defined as the Best Natural Boundary (BNB). The definition of the BNB points out the working area and stratigraphic level for the GSSP. 14Strain effect on intersubband transitions in rolled-up quantum well infrared photodetectors显示文摘Pre-strained nanomembranes with four embedded quantum wells(QWs) are rolled up into threedimensional(3D) tubular QW infrared photodetectors(QWIPs),which are based on the QW intersubband transition(ISBT).A redshift of ~0.42 meV in photocurrent response spectra is observed and attributed to two strain contributions due to the rolling of the pre-strained nanomembranes.One is the overall strain that mainly leads to a redshift of ~0.5 meV,and the other is the strain gradient which results in a very tiny variation.The blue shift of the photocurrent response spectra with the external bias are also observed as quantum-confined Stark effect(QCSE)in the ISBT.Han Wang Shilong Li Honglou Zhen Xiaofei Nie Gaoshan Huang Yongfeng Mei Wei Lu 2017Journal of Semiconductors2017,38,5:0
