| 1 | Recent advances in research on vine tea,a potential and functional herbal tea with dihydromyricetin and myricetin as major bioactive compounds显示文摘Vine tea has been used as an herbal tea by several ethnic minorities for hundreds of years in China.Flavonoids,a kind of indispensable component in a variety of nutraceutical,pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications,are identified to be the major metabolites and bioactive ingredients in vine tea.Interestingly,vine tea exhibits a wide range of significant bioactivities including anti-oxidant,anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor,antidiabetic,neuroprotective and other activities,but no toxicity.These bioactivities,to some extent,enrich the understanding about the role of vine tea in disease prevention and therapy.The health benefits of vine tea,particularly dihydromyricetin and myricetin,are widely investigated.However,there is currently no comprehensive review available on vine tea.Therefore,this report summarizes the most recent studies investigating bioactive constituents,pharmacological effects and possible mechanisms of vine tea,which will provide a better understanding about the health benefits and preclinical assessment of novel application of vine tea. | Qili Zhang Yanfang Zhao Meiyan Zhang Yalu Zhang Hongfang Ji Liang Shen | 2021 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,5: | 7 |
| 2 | Sr-Nd-Pb Isotopic Compositions of the Neogene Eolian Deposits in the Xining Basin and Implications for Their Dust Sources显示文摘The Neogene eolian deposits in the Xining Basin are valuable archive for studying the evolution of the Asian monsoon system and geomorphic processes of Northwest China. The Neogene eolian deposits that paleomagnetically dated at about 14 Ma probably were sourced from the middle and west Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(QTP) as indicated by elemental compositions and magnetic properties. This study provides the Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic ratios of different sediments(gravels from the river terraces, Neogene eolian deposits and Quaternary loess) in the Xining Basin. The results show that:(1) Sr-Nd isotopic compositions of terrace gravels are different from those of the Neogene and Quaternary eolian deposits, although the Nd isotope ratios of gravel on the 10 th terrace(T10) and eolian deposits are similar.(2) Pb isotopic compositions of river gravels are obviously different from the eolian deposits in the Xining Basin. However, Pb isotopic compositions of eolian deposits in the basin are similar to those of eolian deposits in the central Chinese Loess Plateau.(3) Sr-Nd-Pb isotope results indicate that the Neogene eolian deposits in the Xining Basin were probably sourced from remote areas outside of the basin by long-distance transportation. | 3 | Cenozoic tectonic and geomorphic evolution of the Longxi region in northeastern Tibetan Plateau interpreted from detrital zircon显示文摘The Longxi region contains different kinds of Cenozoic sediments,including eolian deposits,reworked loess,fluvial and lacustrine deposits.The provenance evolution of these sediments is of great significance in exploring the uplift,tectonic deformation and associated with geomorphic evolution of the Northeastern Tibetan Plateau.In this paper,we used the single-grain zircon provenance analysis to constrain the provenances for the Paleogene alluvial conglomerates and for the Neogene fluvial-lacustrine sediments,and compared them with results from the loess deposits since the Miocene.The results show that:(1)the Paleogene alluvial conglomerates contain a large number of detrital zircons ranging from 560 to 1100 Ma that were derived from the Yangzi Block.However,the sediments of early Miocene have much fewer zircons of this age span,which are characterized by an abundance of zircon ages in the ranges of 200-360 Ma.This indicates that the Paleogene alluvial conglomerates mainly come from the middle and/or southern West Qinling,and the early Miocene sediments are primarily from the northern West Qinling;(2)Late Neogene fluvial sediments(11.5 Ma onward)in Tianshui-Qinan region are dominated by zircon ages of 3 80-450 Ma.This zircon population is similar to that of the exposed intrusive rocks of southern part of the Liupan Mountains,implying that the southern part of Liupan Mountains probably had already uplifted by 11.5 Ma;(3)Late Miocene lacustrine sediments in Tianshui region have a zircon age spectra that is remarkably different from coeval fluvial deposits,but is similar to the zircon age distributions of the Miocene loess in Qinan region,late Miocene-Pliocene Hipparion red clay and Quaternary loess.This indicates that fine particles within these Miocene lacustrine sediments in Tianshui region may be dominated by aeolian materials.This study reveals that provenance changes of Cenozoic sediments in Tianshui-Qinan region and its geomorphic evolution are closely related to the multi-stage uplift of the Northeastern Tibetan Plateau.In particular,the major uplift of the Northern Tibetan Plateau during late Oligocene-early Miocene may have not only provided the source areas and wind dynamic conditions for the deposits of the Miocene loess,but also provided the geomorphic conditions for its accumulation. | WANG ZhiXiang LIANG MeiYan SUN YuQi DAI GaoWen | 2017 | Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,2: | 4 |
| 4 | The provenance of Gansu Group in Longxi region and implications for tectonics and paleoclimate显示文摘The Neogene sediments of Gansu Group from northwestern China contain eolian and fluvial deposits.The origins of these sediments are very important for exploring the onset of Asian inland aridification,the pattern of paleo-atmospheric circulation,and the regional tectonics and geomorphic evolution during the Miocene.Here we present detrital-zircon age spectra of typical eolian and fluvial deposits from highlands and subsidence basin,and compare them with those of surrounding eroded mountain(such as the West Qinling Mountains and Liupan Mountains)materials and Quaternary loess derived from the Asian inlands.The results reveal that(1)the detrital-zircon age spectrum of the Miocene eolian sample is remarkably different from the eroded materials of the West Qinling Mountains and the Miocene fluvial deposits from Tianshui region,but very similar to the Quaternary loess deposits.This indicates that the provenance of Miocene eolian sediments is similar with the Quaternary loess,and thus further confirms the previous conclusions that the distribution of Asian arid lands and the pattern of atmospheric circulation during the Miocene are broadly similar with the Quaternary.(2)The detrital-zircon age spectrum of the fluvial deposits(with age about 11.5 Ma)from Tianshui region is different from the eroded materials of West Qinling Mountains,but similar with that of the Liupan Mountains to the east,which may suggest that the Liupan Mountains have already been exhumed by11.5 Ma. | LIANG MeiYan WANG ZhiXiang ZHOU Sen ZONG KeQing HU ZhaoChu | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,6: | 4 |
| 5 | Tailoring Nitrogen Terminals on MXene Enables Fast Charging and Stable Cycling Na-Ion Batteries at Low Temperature显示文摘Sodium-ion batteries stand a chance of enabling fast charging ability and long lifespan while operating at low temperature(low-T).However,sluggish kinetics and aggravated dendrites present two major challenges for anodes to achieve the goal at low-T.Herein,we propose an interlayer confined strategy for tailoring nitrogen terminals on Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene(Ti_(3)C_(2)-N_(funct)) to address these issues.The introduction of nitrogen terminals endows Ti_(3)C_(2)-N_(funct) with large interlayer space and charge redistribution,improved conductivity and sufficient adsorption sites for Na^(+),which improves the possibility of Ti_(3)C_(2) for accommodating more Na atoms,further enhancing the Na^(+) storage capability of Ti_(3)C_(2).As revealed,Ti_(3)C_(2)-N_(funct) not only possesses a lower Na-ion diffusion energy barrier and charge trans-fer activation energy,but also exhibits Na^(+)-solvent co-intercalation behavior to circumvent a high de-solvation energy barrier at low-T.Besides,the solid electrolyte interface dominated by inorganic com-pounds is more beneficial for the Na^(+)transfer at the electrode/electrolyte interface.Compared with of the unmodified sample,Ti_(3)C_(2)-Nfunct exhibits a twofold capacity(201 mAh g^(-1)),fast-charging ability(18 min at 80% capacity retention),and great superiority in cycle life(80.9%@5000 cycles)at -25℃.When coupling with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)F_(3) cathode,the Ti_(3)C_(2)-N_(funct)//NVPF exhibits high energy density and cycle stability at -25℃. | Yang Xia Lanfang Que Fuda Yu Liang Deng Zhenjin Liang Yunshan Jiang Meiyan Sun Lei Zhao Zhenbo Wang | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,9: | 3 |

| 7 | Identification of A Novel SBF2 Frameshift Mutation in Charcot–Marie–Tooth Disease Type 4B2 Using Whole-exome Sequencing显示文摘Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease type 4B2 with early-onset glaucoma(CMT4B2, OMIM604563) is a genetically-heterogeneous childhood-onset neuromuscular disorder. Here, we report the case of a 15-year-old male adolescent with lower extremity weakness, gait abnormalities, foot deformities and early-onset glaucoma. Since clinical diagnosis alone was insufficient for providing pathogenetic evidence to indicate that the condition belonged to a consanguineous family, we applied whole-exome sequencing to samples from the patient, his parents and his younger brother,assuming that the patient's condition is transmitted in an autosomal recessive pattern. A frame-shift mutation, c.4571 del G(P.Gly1524Glufs*42), was revealed in the CMT4B2-related gene SBF2(also known as MTMR13, MIM 607697), and this mutation was found to be homozygous in the proband and heterozygous in his parents and younger brother. Together with the results of clinical diagnosis,this case was diagnosed as CMT4B2. | 10 | Detrital-Zircon Evidence for the Origin of the Late Quaternary Loess in Qingzhou,Shandong Province and Its Implications for the Evolution of the Yellow River显示文摘The loess depositions in Shandong Province are important parts of loess records in eastern China,but their origin and genetic linkage between the Yellow River and the Chinese Loess Plateau are still unclear.This paper presents the detrital-zircon evidence for the origin and provenance evolution of the Qingzhou loess in Shandong Province.The results show that:(1) the Qingzhou loess was sourced from the sandy lands within the North China Plain that were fed by the silty materials from the Chinese Loess Plateau,the mountainous region in central Shandong Province,and the Yanshan and Taihang Mountains;(2) the Qingzhou loess was mainly sourced from the loess materials transported by the Yellow River,and the basal age of the Qingzhou loess indicates the timing of intensified aridification of the North China Plain and integration of the Yellow River was not later than 0.5 Ma;and(3) the provenance and grain-size of the Qingzhou loess underwent a significant transition at ~0.22 Ma,which was related to the expansion of the sandy land within the North China Plain.Our results indicate that the origin of the loess on the North China Plain are obviously different from the loess on the Chinese Loess Plateau,and the increase of grain-size and accumulation rate in the loess records on the North China Plain at ~0.22 Ma was due to the environmental deterioration of the eastern China. | Yanfei Shen Meiyan Liang Jianxun Wu Shuzhen Peng Guoqiao Xiao | 2022 | Journal of Earth Science2022,33,1: | 1 |
| 11 | Cell relay-delivery improves targeting and therapeutic efficacy in tumors显示文摘Cell-mediated drug delivery system(CDDS)has shown great potential for cancer therapy.However,a single cell-mediated drug delivery mechanism has not generally been successful,particularly for systemic administration.To augment the antitumor therapy efficacy,herein,we propose a strategy of cell relay-delivery for the use of artificially damaging/aging erythrocytes to hitchhike on circulating monocytes/macrophages for intratumoral accumulation of anticancer drugs.This biomimetic relay-delivery strategy was derived from the manner in which circulating monocytes/macrophages in body specifically engulf damaged/senescent erythrocytes and actively transmigrate into the tumor bulk.The strategy elegantly combines the natural functions of both cells,which therefore provides a new perspective to challenge current obstacles in drug delivery.According to the strategy,we developed biotinylated erythrocyte-poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA)nanoparticle hybrid DDSs(bE-NPs)using avidin-biotin coupling.In such a system,biotinylated erythrocytes can mimic the natural property of damaged/senescent erythrocytes,while PLGA NPs are capable of encapsulating anticancer drugs and promoting sustained drug release.Anticancer drugs can effectively target tumor sites by two steps.First,by using biotinylated erythrocytes as the carrier,the drug-loaded PLGA NPs could be specifically phagocytized by monocytes/macrophages.Second,by taking advantage of the tumor-tropic property of monocytes/macrophages,the drug-loaded PLGA NPs could be efficiently transported into the tumor bulk.After encapsulating vincristine(VIN)as the model drug,bE-NPs exhibited the most favorable antitumor effects in vitro and in vivo by the cell relay-delivery effect.These results demonstrate that the cell relay-delivery provides a potential method for improving tumor treatment efficacy. | Ye Feng Qianqian Liu Yi Li Yang Han Meng Liang Hao Wang Qing Yao Yuli Wang Meiyan Yang Zhiping Li Wei Gong Yang Yang Chunsheng Gao | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,6: | 0 |
