Architecture design for reliable and reconfigurable FPGA-based GNC computer for deep space exploration显示文摘SRAM(static random access memory)-based FPGA(field programmable gate array), owing to its large capacity, high performance, and dynamical reconfiguration, has become an attractive platform for So PC(system on programmable chip) development. However, as the configuration memory and logic memory of the SRAM-based FPGA are highly susceptible to SEUs(single-event upsets) in deep space, it is a challenge to design and implement a highly reliable FPGA-based system for spacecraft, and no practical architecture has been proposed. In this paper, a new architecture for a reliable and reconfigurable FPGAbased computer in a highly critical GNC(guidance navigation and control) system is proposed. To mitigate the effect of an SEU on the system, multi-layer reconfiguration and multi-layer TMR(triple module redundancy) techniques are proposed, with a reliable reconfigurable real-time operating system(Space OS) managing the system level fault tolerance of the computer in the architecture. The proposed architecture for the reconfigurable FPGA-based computer has been implemented with COTS(commercial off the shelf) FPGA and has firstly been applied to the GNC system of a circumlunar return and reentry flight vehicle. The in-orbit results show that the proposed architecture is capable of meeting the requirements of high reliability and high availability, and can provide the expressive varying functionality and runtime flexibility for an FPGA-based GNC computer in deep space. | YANG MengFei LIU Bo GONG Jian LIU HongJin HU HongKai DONG YangYang SHI Lei ZHAO YunFu MIAO ZhiFu | 2016 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2016,59,2: | 10
Application of reliability technologies in civil aviation: Lessons learnt and perspectives显示文摘We consider reliability engineering in modern civil aviation industry, and the related engineering activities and methods. We consider reliability in a broad sense, referring to other system characteristics that are related to it, like availability, maintainability, safety and durability. We covered the entire lifecycle of the equipment, including reliability requirement identification, reliability analysis and design, verification and validation of reliability requirements(typically involved in the equipment design and development phase), quality assurance(which typically enters in the manufacturing phase), and fault diagnosis and prognosis and maintenance(which are connected to the operation phase). Lessons learnt from reliability engineering practices in civil aviation industry are given, which might serve as reference for reliability managers and engineers, also from other industries with high reliability requirements. | Enrico ZIO Mengfei FAN Zhiguo ZENG Rui KANG | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,1: | 9

Clinical study using mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of patients with severe COVID-19显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by SARS-CoV-2 was identified in December 2019.The symptoms include fever, cough, dyspnea, early symptom of sputum, and acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).Mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)therapy is the immediate treatment used for patients with severe cases of COVID-19.Herein,we describe two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Wuhan to explore the role of MSC in the treatment of COVID-19.MSC transplantation increases the immune indicators(including CD4 and lymphocytes)and decreases the inflammation indicators(interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein).High-flow nasal cannula can be used as an initial support strategy for patients with ARDS.With MSC transplantation, the fracrion of inspired O2(Fi02)of the two patients gradually decreased while the oxygen saturation(Sa02)and partial pressure of oxygen(P02)improved.Additionally,the patients9 chest computed tomography showed that bilateral lung exudate lesions were adsorbed after MSC infusion. Results indicated that MSC transplantation provides clinical data on the treatment of COVID-19 and may serve as an alternative method for treating COVID-19,particularly in patients with ARDS. | Lingling Tang Yingan Jiang Mengfei Zhu Lijun Chen Xiaoyang Zhou Chenliang Zhou Peng Ye Xiaobei Chen Baohong Wang Zhenyu Xu Qiang Zhang Xiaowei Xu Hainv Gao Xiaojun Wu Dong Li Wanli Jiang Jingjing Qu Charlie Xiang Lanjuan Li | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,5: | 8
Size, morphology, and composition of lunar samples returned by Chang'E-5 mission显示文摘This study focuses on the physical and chemical properties of surficial lunar regolith(LR)samples returned from the Moon by the Chang’E-5(CE-5)mission.Insights regarding the effect of a new sampling geological site on the surficial lunar sample CE5 C0400 were illustrated using nondestructive techniques such as laser diffractometry coupled with image analysis,X-ray computed tomography, and field emission scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy, and Xray diffraction combined with Rietveld refinement. From the characterization analyses, the CE-5 sampling site in the northeastern Oceanus Procellarum on the Moon yields a unique collection of relatively regular-shaped and fine basalt-dominated particles. The median grain size D_(50) is(55.24±0.96)μm,falling within the relatively low end of the range of the Apollo lunar returned samples. The coefficient of uniformity C_(u)of 15.1 and the coefficient of curvature C_(c)of 1.7 could classify CE5 C0400 to be well-graded.The minerals in CE5 C0400 comprise approximately 44.5%pyroxene,30.4%plagioclase,3.6%olivine,and6.0%ilmenite.There is a relatively low content of approximately 15.5%glass phase in the CE-5 lunar sample. From the results,we deduce that the CE-5 LR structure could have mainly resulted from micrometeoroid impacts to achieve such a high level of maturity. | Hui Zhang Xian Zhang Guang Zhang Keqi Dong Xiangjin Deng Xiaosong Gao Yaodong Yang Yuan Xiao Xiao Bai Kaixin Liang Yiwei Liu Wenbin Ma Shaofan Zhao Ce Zhang Xiaojing Zhang Jian Song Wei Yao Hong Chen Weihua Wang Zhigang Zou Mengfei Yang | 2022 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,2: | 4

A leaf shape mutant provides insight into PINOID Serine/Threonine Kinase function in cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)显示文摘Optimizing leaf shape is a major challenge in efforts to develop an ideal plant type. Cucumber leaf shapes are diverse;however, the molecular regulatory mechanisms underlying leaf shape formation are unknown. In this study, we obtained a round leaf mutant(rl) from an ethyl methanesulfonate-induced mutagenesis population. Genetic analysis revealed that a single recessive gene, rl, is responsible for this mutation. A modified Mut Map analysis combined linkage mapping identified a single nucleotide polymorphism within a candidate gene,Csa1 M537400, as the mutation underlying the trait.Csa1 M537400 encodes a PINOID kinase protein involved in auxin transport. Expression of Csa1 M537400 was significantly lower in the rl mutant than in wild type, and it displayed higher levels of IAA(indole-3-acetic acid) in several tissues. Treatment of wild-type plants with an auxin transport inhibitor induced the formation of round leaves, similar to those in the rl mutant. Altered expression patterns of several auxin-related genes in the rl mutant suggest that rl plays a key role in auxin biosynthesis, transport, and response in cucumber. These findings provide insight into the molecular mechanism underlying the regulation of auxin signaling pathways in cucumber, and will be valuable in the development of an ideal plant type. | Mengfei Song Feng Cheng Jing Wang Qingzhen Wei Wenyuan Fu Xiaqing Yu Ji Li Jinfeng Chen Qunfeng Lou | 2019 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2019,61,9: | 3
Health-related quality of life among rural residents aged 45-69 years in Hua County, Henan Province, China: Results of ESECC Trial for esophageal cancer screening with endoscopy显示文摘Objective: There have been few population-based studies evaluating health related quality of life(HRQOL) in rural populations in China, and this study aimed to assess the current status of and risk factors for HRQOL in a general rural population in high risk region of esophageal cancer in China. Methods: From November 2015 to September 2016, 12,085 permanent residents aged 45–69 years from 257 villages in the Endoscopic Screening for Esophageal Cancer in China(ESECC) trial(Clinical Trials.gov:NCT01688908) randomly selected from Hua County, Henan Province, China were interviewed. The EQ-5 D-3 L,a generic measure of HRQOL, and a questionnaire were used to assess their HRQOL and potential risk factors. Results: Among all the participants, 30.62% of the participants reported problems in at least one EQ-5 D dimension. Pain/discomfort(25.52%) was the most frequently reported problem followed by anxiety/depression(7.97%), mobility(5.82%), usual activities(2.61%) and self-care(1%). These rural residents had a mean EQ-5 D index score of 0.948, and lower EQ-5 D index scores were associated with older age, female gender, lower levels of household annual per capita income, living alone, using shallow wells as main source of drinking water, exposure to family members smoking, testiness, unhealthy dietary habits, overweight or obesity, upper gastrointestinal cancer related symptoms and chronic diseases. Conclusions: Rural residents in China have a relatively low quality of life. Health promotion programs in this population should focus on the elderly, especially elderly women and the elderly living alone. Improving basic living circumstances and primary medical care services should be priorities. Results of this study will also serve as the basis for the cost-utility evaluation in our ESECC screening trial. | Hui Wang Yaqi Pan Chuanhai Guo Fenglei Li Ruiping Xu Mengfei Liu Zhen Liu Fangfang Liu Hong Cai Yang Ke Zhonghu He | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,2: | 3
Influence of ocean tidal loading on InSAR offshore areas deformation monitoring显示文摘The ocean tide can cause the redistribution of the seawater mass, resulting in earth's surface deformation, namely ocean tidal loading(OTL).OTL vertical displacement may reach several centimeters, especially in coastal areas,so its effect in the field of high precision geodesy must be considered. This study concentrates on the influences of OTL on InSAR deformation measurements. We improve the osu.chinasea.2010 regional model and then compare the improved regional model with other regional models. It turns out that the improved regional model can achieve higher precision. Then we use it to replace the offshore part of the global model to generate the present model. We find that the displacement observed by the present model is 2-3 mm larger than that of other models on some sites. Finally, the present model is used to correct the deformation observed by InSAR of Shanghai and Los Angeles.A comparison between the displacements of IGS station with the corrected data shows that the OTL correction can improve the accuracy of InSAR deformation results by about 20%. | Mengfei Lei Qijie Wang Xiaoli Liu Bing Xu Hongqiang Zhang | 2017 | Geodesy and Geodynamics2017,8,1: | 3
p190A inactivating mutations cause aberrant RhoA activation and promote malignant transformation via the Hippo-YAP pathway in endometrial cancer显示文摘The Rho family of GTPases is strictly regulated by a large family of GTPase-activating proteins(GAPs)that stimulate the relatively weak intrinsic GTP-hydrolyzing activity of Rho GTPases.p190A is a potent and widely expressed GAP that acts on RhoA GTPases.p190A is frequently mutated in endometrial cancer, but the contribution of p190A mutations to endometrial tumorigenesis remains unclear. Here we identified that p190A is an upstream regulator of the Hippo-YAP signaling pathway, which is a critical regulator of cell proliferation, apoptosis, and cell fate.p190A knockout in endometrial cancer cells promoted cell proliferation, migration, and epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT),which were partially dependent on YAP activation.Wild-type p190A,but not endometrial cancer-associated mutants, suppressed the nuclear localization, transcriptional activity, and malignant transformation function of YAP.Moreover, the nuclear localization of YAP was enhanced in p190A-mutated endometrial cancer. These findings reveal novel molecular mechanisms underlying Hippo-YAP pathway-driven endometrial tumorigenesis and elucidate the potential for therapy targeting the Hippo-YAP pathway in p190A-mutated endometrial cancer. | Xiaoli Wen Jing Wan Qizhi He Mengfei Wang Shuangdi Li Mei Jiang Zhen Qian Binya Liu Wen Lu Kai Wang Kun Gao Xiaoping Wan | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 3
Oral microbiome and risk of malignant esophageal lesions in a high-risk area of China:A nested case-control study显示文摘Objective:We aimed to prospectively evaluate the association of oral microbiome with malignant esophageal lesions and its predictive potential as a biomarker of risk. Methods:We conducted a case-control study nested within a population-based cohort with up to 8 visits of oral swab collection for each subject over an 11-year period in a high-risk area for esophageal cancer in China. The oral microbiome was evaluated with 16 S ribosomal RNA(rRNA)gene sequencing in 428 pre-diagnostic oral specimens from 84 cases with esophageal lesions of severe squamous dysplasia and above(SDA)and 168 matched healthy controls.DESeq analysis was performed to identify taxa of differential abundance.Differential oral species together with subject characteristics were evaluated for their potential in predicting SDA risk by constructing conditional logistic regression models. Results:A total of 125 taxa including 37 named species showed significantly different abundance between SDA cases and controls(all P<0.05&false discovery rate-adjusted Q<0.10).A multivariate logistic model including 11 SDA lesion-related species and family history of esophageal cancer provided an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)of 0.89(95%CI,0.84-0.93).Cross-validation and sensitivity analysis, excluding cases diagnosed within 1 year of collection of the baseline specimen and their matched controls,or restriction to screenendoscopic-detected or clinically diagnosed case-control triads,or using only bacterial data measured at the baseline, yielded AUCs>0.84.Conclusions:The oral microbiome may play an etiological and predictive role in esophageal cancer, and it holds promise as a non-invasive early warning biomarker for risk stratification for esophageal cancer screening programs. | Fangfang Liu Mengfei Liu Ying Liu Chuanhai Guo Yunlai Zhou Fenglei Li Ruiping Xu Zhen Liu Qiuju Deng Xiang Li Chaoting Zhang Yaqi Pan Tao Ning Xiao Dong Zhe Hu Huanyu Bao Hong Cai Isabel Dos Santos Silva Zhonghu He Yang Ke | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,6: | 3
Development and validation of a questionnaire-based risk scoring system to identify individuals at high risk for gastric cancer in Chinese populations显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to develop and validate a risk scoring system to identify high-risk individuals carrying malignant lesions in stomach for tailored gastric cancer screening. Methods:A gastric cancer risk scoring system(GC-RSS)was developed based on questionnaire-based predictors for gastric cancer derived from systematic literature review. To assess the capability of this system for discrimination, risk scores for 8,214 and 7,235 outpatient subjects accepting endoscopic examination in two endoscopy centers, and 32,630 participants in a community-based cohort in China were calculated to plot receiver operating characteristic curves and generate area under the curve(AUC).To evaluate the performance of GC-RSS,the screening proportion, sensitivity and detection rate ratio compared to universal screening were used under different risk score cutoff values.Results:GC-RSS comprised nine predictors including advanced age, male gender, low body mass index(<18.5 kg/m^(2)),family history of gastric cancer, cigarette smoking, consumption of alcohol, preference for salty food, irregularity of meals and consumption of preserved food. This tool performed well in determining the risk of malignant gastric lesions with AUCs of 0.763,0.706 and 0.696 in three validation sets. When subjects with risk scores≥5 were evaluated with endoscopy, nearly 50%of these endoscopies could be saved with a detection rate of over 1.5 times achieved. When the cutoff was set at 8,only about 10%of subjects with the highest risk would be offered endoscopy, and detection rates for gastric cancer could be increased 2-4 fold compared to universal screening. Conclusions:An effective questionnaire-based GC-RSS was developed and validated. This tool may play an important role in establishing a tailored screening strategy for gastric cancer in China. | Ren Zhou Hongchen Zheng Mengfei Liu Zhen Liu Chuanhai Guo Hongrui Tian Fangfang Liu Ying Liu Yaqi Pan Huanyu Chen Zhe Hu Hong Cai Zhonghu He Yang Ke | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,6: | 3
Identification of cancer patients using claims data from health insurance systems: A real-world comparative study显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the accuracy of identifying cancer patients by use of medical claims data in a health insurance system in China, and provide the basis for establishing the claims-based cancer surveillance system in China. Methods: We chose Hua County, Henan Province as the study site, and randomly selected 300 and 1,200 qualified inpatient electronic medical records(EMRs) as well as the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme(NCMS) claims records for cancer patients in Hua County People’s Hospital(HCPH) and Anyang Cancer Hospital(ACH) in 2017. Diagnostic information for NCMS claims was evaluated on an individual level, and sensitivity and positive predictive value(PPV) were calculated taking the EMRs as the gold standard. Results: The sensitivity of NCMS was 95.2%(93.8%-96.3%) and 92.0%(88.3%-94.8%) in ACH and HCPH,respectively. The PPV of the NCMS was 97.8%(96.7%-98.5%) in ACH and 89.0%(84.9%-92.3%) in HCPH.Overall, the weighted and combined sensitivity and PPV of NCMS in Hua County was 93.1% and 92.1%,respectively. Significantly higher sensitivity and PPV in identifying patients with common cancers than noncommon cancers were detected in HCPH and ACH separately(P<0.01).Conclusions: Identification of cancer patients by use of the NCMS is accurate on individual level, and it is therefore feasible to conduct claims-based cancer surveillance in areas not covered by cancer registries in China. | Hongrui Tian Ruiping Xu Fenglei Li Chuanhai Guo Lixin Zhang Zhen Liu Mengfei Liu Yaqi Pan Zhonghu He Yang Ke | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,4: | 3
Analysis of Chang’e-5 lunar core drilling process显示文摘Chang’e-5 explorer successfully acquired lunar regolith core samples from depths of greater than 1 m of lunar surface. This study analyzed the lunar core drilling process based on the telemetry data, image information, and returned samples to optimize the sampling device design and enhance the understanding of the lunar regolith. In particular,a prediction method for the projected drilling path and local terrain fitting of drilling dip angle was proposed based on the flight events recorded during the core drilling process and the image information acquired before, during, and after sampling. The results revealed that the drilling dip angle of Chang’e-5 was approximately2.3.,and the deviation of the drilling length and depth was less than 2 mm.For continuous drilling,a fusion method based on telemetry data and image information was applied to determine the demarcation point of drilling with and without the lunar soil. The position of the demarcation point implied that the drilling point remained at approximately 6 mm loose soil, thereby lagging the action of the force response.Additionally,a characteristic parameter comparison method was proposed for the lunar and ground drilling to analyze the status of the lunar soil.Furthermore, the analysis results revealed that the majority of the Chang’e-5 drilling samples were derived from 0–73.8 cm below the lunar surface and few samples were extracted below 73.8 cm,as the drilling encountered several rocky regions. Moreover, the drilling point exhibited two prominent stratification variations at~28.7 cm and~70 cm below the lunar surface.Ultimately, the preliminary relationship between sample dissected position in soft tube and drilling displacement was analyzed. The segmented estimation results can support research on subsurface lunar soil. | Yanhong ZHENG Mengfei YANG Xiangjin DENG Shengyi JIN Jing PENG Yan SU Zheng GU Liping CHEN Yong PANG Nai ZHANG | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,2: | 3
Spatial distribution characteristics of bacterial community structure and gene abundance in sediments of the Bohai Sea显示文摘This study investigated differences in the community structure and environmental responses of the bacterial community in sediments of the Bohai Sea.Illumina high-throughput sequencing technology and real-time PCR were used to assay the bacterial 16S rRNA genes in the surface sediments of 13 sampling stations in the Bohai Sea.The results showed that sediments at the majority of the 13 sampling stations were contaminated by heavy metal mercury. The main phyla of bacteria recorded included Proteobacteria(52.92%),Bacteroidetes(11.76%),Planctomycetes(7.39%),Acidobacteria(6.53%)and Chloroflexi(4.97%).The genus with the highest relative abundance was Desulfobulbus(4.99%),which was the dominant genus at most sampling stations, followed by Lutimonas and Halioglobus. The main factors influencing bacterial community structure were total organic carbon, followed by depth and total phosphorus. The content of lead, cadmium, chromium, copper and zinc had a consistent effect on community structure.Arsenic showed a negative correlation with bacterial community structure in most samples, while the impact of mercury on community structure was not significant. The bacterial community in sediment samples from the Bohai Sea was rich in diversity and displayed an increase in diversity from high to low latitudes. The data indicated that the Bohai Sea had abundant microbial resources and was rich in bacteria with the potential to metabolize many types of pollutants. | Quanrui Chen Jingfeng Fan Jie Su Hongxia Ming Zhihao Sun Mengfei Li Xiaohui Zhao Yantao Wang Yingxue Zhang Huizhen Zhang Yuan Jin Xiaowan Ma Bin Wang | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,2: | 2
Taking advantage of glass:capturing and retaining the helium gas on the moon显示文摘Helium-3(3He)is a noble gas that has critical applications in scientific research and promising application potential as clean fusion energy. It is thought that the lunar regolith contains large amounts of helium, but it is challenging to extract because most helium atoms are reserved in defects of crystals or as solid solutions. Here,we find large amounts of helium bubbles in the glassy surface layer of ilmenite particles that were brought back by the Chang’E-5 mission. The special disordered atomic packing structure of glasses should be the critical factor for capturing the noble helium gas.The reserves in bubbles do not require heating to high temperatures to be extracted.Mechanical methods at ambient temperatures can easily break the bubbles. Our results provide insights into the mechanism of helium gathering on the moon and offer guidance on future in situ extraction. | Ao Li Xiao Chen Lijian Song Guoxin Chen Wei Xu Juntao Huo Meng Gao Ming Li Lei Zhang Bingnan Yao Min Ji Yan Zhang Shaofan Zhao Wei Yao Yanhui Liu Jun-Qiang Wang Haiyang Bai Zhigang Zou Mengfei Yang Weihua Wang | 2022 | Materials Futures2022,1,3: | 2
Reliable sensors based on graphene textile with negative resistance variation in three dimensions显示文摘The weft-knitted reduced graphene oxide(r-GO)textile that is made up of many conductive r-GO coated fibers was successfully prepared dependent on the electrospray deposition technique.Interestingly, the r-GO textile presents negative resistance variation not only in axial direction as the pressure increases but also in transverse direction as the lateral stretch increases which makes it has the advantage to fabricate the reliable sensors based on strain-resistance effect. The transverse-strain and pressure sensors based on the r-GO textiles all show the excellent sensing characteristics such as high sensitivity, reliability, and good durability, etc. The maximum gauge factors(GF)of the transverse-sensor are 27.1 and 153.5 in the x-and/-direction,respectively.And the practical detection range can up to 40%in the x-direction and 35%in the y-direction,respectively.The r-GO textile pressure sensor also shows high sensitivity for a broad pressure range that with a GF up to 716.8 kPa-1 for less than 4.5 kPa region and still has more sensitive pressure sensing characteristics even the pressure goes up to 14 kPa.Based on those good performances of r-GO textile sensors, its potential applications in human body states monitoring have been studied. | Wenpeng Han Yijun Wu He Gong Linxin Liu Junxiang Yan Mengfei Li Yunze Long Guozhen Shen | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,8: | 2
