Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). With an exposure of 5.6 ton-years, the sensitivity of Panda X-4 T could reach a minimum spin-independent dark matter-nucleon cross section of 6 × 10^(-48) cm^2 at a dark matter mass of 40 Ge V/c^2. | HongGuang Zhang Abdusalam Abdukerim Wei Chen Xun Chen YunHua Chen XiangYi Cui BinBin Dong DeQing Fang ChangBo Fu Karl Giboni Franco Giuliani LinHui Gu XuYuan Guo ZhiFan Guo Ke Han ChangDa He ShengMing He Di Huang XingTao Huang Zhou Huang Peng Ji XiangDong Ji YongLin Ju ShaoLi Li Yao Li Heng Lin HuaXuan Liu JiangLai Liu YuGang Ma YaJun Mao KaiXiang Ni JinHua Ning XiangXiang Ren Fang Shi AnDi Tan AnQing Wang Cheng Wang HongWei Wang Meng Wang QiuHong Wang SiGuang Wang XiuLi Wang XuMing Wang Zhou Wang MengMeng Wu ShiYong Wu JingKai Xia MengJiao Xiao PengWei Xie BinBin Yan JiJun Yang Yong Yang ChunXu Yu JuMin Yuan JianFeng Yue Dan Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao QiBin Zheng JiFang Zhou Ning Zhou XiaoPeng Zhou | 2019 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2019,62,3: | 6
Resveratrol promotes the survival and neuronal differentiation of hypoxia-conditioned neuronal progenitor cells in rats with cerebral ischemia显示文摘Hypoxia conditioning could increase the survival of transplanted neuronal progenitor cells(NPCs)in rats with cerebral ischemia but could also hinder neuronal differentiation partly by suppressing mitochondrial metabolism. In this work, the mitochondrial metabolism of hypoxia-conditioned NPCs(hcNPCs)was upregulated via the additional administration of resveratrol,an herbal compound,to resolve the limitation of hypoxia conditioning on neuronal differentiation.Resveratrol was first applied during the in vitro neuronal differentiation of hcNPCs and concurrently promoted the differentiation, synaptogenesis, and functional development of neurons derived from hcNPCs and restored the mitochondrial metabolism.Furthermore, this herbal compound was used as an adjuvant during hcNPC transplantation in a photothrombotic stroke rat model.Resveratrol promoted neuronal differentiation and increased the long-term survival of transplanted hcNPCs.18-fluorine fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography and rotarod test showed that resveratrol and hcNPC transplantation synergistically improved the neurological and metabolic recovery of stroke rats.In conclusion, resveratrol promoted the neuronal differentiation and therapeutic efficiency of hcNPCs in stroke rats via restoring mitochondrial metabolism. This work suggested a novel approach to promote the clinical translation of NPC transplantation therapy. | Yao Yao Rui Zhou Rui Bai Jing Wang Mengjiao Tu Jingjing Shi Xiao He Jinyun Zhou Liu Feng Yuanxue Gao Fahuan Song Feng Lan Xingguo Liu Mei Tian Hong Zhang | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3: | 3
A novel akermanite/poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) porous composite scaffold fabricated via a solvent casting-particulate leaching method improved by solvent self-proliferating process显示文摘Desirable scaffolds for tissue engineering should be biodegradable carriers to supply suitablemicroenvironments mimicked the extracellular matrices for desired cellular interactions and to providesupports for the formation of new tissues. In this work, a kind of slightly soluble bioactiveceramic akermanite (AKT) powders were aboratively selected and introduced in the PLGA matrix,a novel L-lactide modified AKT/poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (m-AKT/PLGA) composite scaffold wasfabricated via a solvent casting-particulate leaching method improved by solvent self-proliferatingprocess. The effects of m-AKT contents on properties of composite scaffolds and on MC3T3-E1 cellularbehaviors in vitro have been primarily investigated. The fabricated scaffolds exhibited threedimensionalporous networks, in which homogenously distributed cavities in size of 300–400 lmwere interconnected by some smaller holes in a size of 100–200 lm. Meanwhile, the mechanicalstructure of scaffolds was reinforced by the introduction of m-AKT. Moreover, alkaline ionic productsreleased by m-AKT could neutralize the acidic degradation products of PLGA, and the apatitemineralizationability of scaffolds could be largely improved. More valuably, significant promotionson adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation of MC3T3-E1 have been observed, which implied thecalcium, magnesium and especially silidous ions released sustainably from composite scaffoldscould regulate the behaviors of osteogenesis-related cells. | Yao Deng Mengjiao Zhang Xianchun Chen Ximing Pu Xiaoming Liao Zhongbing Huang Guangfu Yin | 2017 | Regenerative Biomaterials2017,4,4: | 3
Quantitative proteomics revealed extensive microenvironmental changes after stem cell transplantation in ischemic stroke显示文摘The local microenvironment is essential to stem cell-based therapy for ischemic stroke, and spatiotemporal changes of the microenvironment in the pathological process provide vital clues for understanding the therapeutic mechanisms. However, relevant studies on microenvironmental changes were mainly confined in the acute phase of stroke, and long-term changes remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate the microenvironmental changes in the subacute and chronic phases of ischemic stroke after stem cell transplantation.Herein, induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)and neural stem cells(NSCs)were transplanted into the ischemic brain established by middle cerebral artery occlusion surgery.Positron emission tomography imaging and neurological tests were applied to evaluate the metabolic and neurofunctional alterations of rats transplanted with stem cells.Quantitative proteomics was employed to investigate the protein expression profiles in iPSCs-transplanted brain in the subacute and chronic phases of stroke.Compared with NSCs-transplanted rats, significantly increased glucose metabolism and neurofunctional scores were observed in iPSCs-transplanted rats.Subsequent proteomic data of iPSCs-transplanted rats identified a total of 39 differentially expressed proteins in the subacute and chronic phases, which are involved in various ischemic stroke-related biological processes, including neuronal survival, axonal remodeling, antioxidative stress, and mitochondrial function restoration.Taken together, our study indicated that iPSCs have a positive therapeutic effect in ischemic stroke and emphasized the wide-ranging microenvironmental changes in the subacute and chronic phases. | Yao Chen Fahuan Song Mengjiao Tu Shuang Wu Xiao He Hao Liu Caiyun Xu Kai Zhang Yuankai Zhu Rui Zhou Chentao Jin Ping Wang Hong Zhang Mei Tian | 2022 | Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,3: | 1
Lighting up plants with near-infrared fluorescence probes显示文摘Fluorescence imaging is a non-invasive and highly sensitive bioimaging technique that has shown remarkable strides in plant science. It enables real-time monitoring and analysis of biological and pathological processes in plants by labeling specific molecular or cellular structures with fluorescent probes. However, tissue scattering and phytochrome interference have been obstacles for conventional fluorescence imaging of plants in the ultraviolet and visible spectrum, resulting in unsatisfactory imaging quality. Fortunately, advances in near-infrared(NIR) fluorescence imaging technology(650-900 nm) offer superior spatial-temporal resolution and reduced tissue scattering, which is sure to improve plant imaging quality. In this review, we summarize recent progress in the development of NIR fluorescence imaging probes and their applications for in vivo plant imaging and the identification of plant-related biomolecules. We hope this review provides a new perspective for plant science research and highlights NIR fluorescence imaging as a powerful tool for analyzing plant physiology, adaptive mechanisms, and coping with environmental stress in the near future. | Yida Pang Mengjiao Lu Hyeonji Rha Wenchao Yang Amit Sharma Yao Sun Jong Seung Kim | 2024 | Science China Chemistry2024,67,3: | 0
Testing and Improvement of OCR Recognition Technology in Export-Oriented Chinese Dictionary APP显示文摘With the increasing number of Chinese learners each year, the interna-tional influence of the Chinese language has also grown.Consequently,Chinese auxiliary learning tools should align more closely with the needs of present-day learners. This paper focuses on a typical Chinese dictionary app and conducts tests and comparisons of the optical character recognition(OCR)function.Specifically,it compares the OCR function of a widely used Chinese learning dictionary with the more advanced and sophisticated mobile built-in OCR recognition technology available today.By identifying the technical gap,the paper proposes a design that incorporates deep learning techniques to enhance the built-in OCR function of the dictionary. This improvement aims to significantly enhance recognition accuracy in natural scenarios and ultimately enhance the user experience of the Chinese learning dictionary app. | Qingpei Yang Xinrui Wan Hongjun Chen Mengjiao Wu Yao Wu Jiyun Qiao | 2023 | 国际计算机前沿大会会议论文集2023,,1: | 0
Magnetic field distribution simulation and performance experiment of a magnetic seed-metering device based on the combined magnetic system显示文摘The magnetic seed-metering method is one of the universal approaches for plug tray seeding.Conventional electromagnetic and permanent-magnetic seed-metering devices either cannot supply a desirable magnitude of magnetic force or need a seed-clearing mechanism. Thus the objective of this research was to develop a combined magnetic system(CMS)seed-metering device for generating higher magnetic forces than the electromagnetic ones without using any auxiliary seed-clearing mechanisms.Firstly, the CMS component was designed and its magnetic field distributions in both attractive and clearing states were obtained by finite element method simulations.Secondly, based on the CMS components,a magnetic seed-metering device was developed and validated by a prototype experiment. The simulation results displayed that along the axial direction of the magnetic head, the maximum magnetic flux density in the clearing state was 21.03%of that in the attractive state. In addition, along the radial direction, the proportion was 24.16%.Concerning the spatial magnetic flux density distribution, the magnetic flux density on the seeding planes of CMS components(approximately 60 mT)was higher than that of transitional space between two CMS components(nearly 0 mT).As for the seeding performance experiment, when the rotational speed of the roller was 21 r/min and the exciting current was 0.15 A,the highest single rate was acquired(90.20%).In the same condition, the reseeding rate was 5.88%and the miss-seeding rate was 3.92%.The results suggest that the magnetic field distribution and seeding performance of the developed magnetic seed-metering device are acceptable. Therefore, the developed magnetic seed-metering device can be used in practical plug tray seeding processes. | Wei Liu Jianping Hu Mengjiao Yao Jun Zhao Imran Ali Lakhiar Chuantong Lu Haoran Pan Wei Wang | 2021 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,1: | 0
Advances in 3D cell culture for liver preclinical studies显示文摘The homeostasis of the vertebrate body depends on anabolic and catabolic activities that are closely linked the inside and outside of the cell.Lipid metabolism plays an essential role in these metabolic activities.Although a large amount of evidence shows that normal lipid metabolism guarantees the conventional physiological activities of organs in the vertebrate body and that abnormal lipid metabolism plays an important role in the occurrence and deterioration of cardiovascular-related diseases, such as obesity, atherosclerosis, and type II diabetes, little is known about the role of lipid metabolism in cartilage and its diseases. This review aims to summarize the latest advances about the function of lipid metabolism in cartilage and its diseases including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and cartilage tumors. With the gradual in-depth understanding of lipid metabolism in cartilage, treatment methods could be explored to focus on this metabolic process in various cartilage diseases. | Ting Yao Yi Zhang Mengjiao Lv Guoqing Zang Soon Seng Ng Xiaohua Chen | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,6: | 0
