| 1 | Effect of Cyclocarya paliurus polysaccharides on streptozotocin-induced diabetic nephropathy in rats显示文摘OBJEVTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of Cyclocarya paliurus(C.paliurus)polysaccharides on streptozotocin-induced diabetic nephropathy in rats.METHODS:Rats were divided into 6 groups,including group of normal control,group of diabetic control,group of metformin treatment,low-dose group of C.paliurus polysaccharides treatment,middle-dose group of C.paliurus polysaccharides treatment and high-dose group of C.paliurus polysaccharides treatment.Histological analysis of kidney was analyzed using hematoxilin and eosin.Levels of blood glucose,creatinine,urea,uric acid were determined by spectrophotometry.Anti-oxidative enzymes were measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Advanced glycation end products(AGEs)and transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)level was measured by ELISA.RESULTS:Abnormal changes were observed in the group of diabetic control characterized by atrophy of the renal glomeruli with hypercellularity,congestion of glomerular tufts,dilation of the renal spaces,and degeneration of renal tubule.Compared with that of normal group,blood glucose,creatinine,urea,uric acid level was significantly increased in the group of diabetic control.Superoxide dismutase,catalase,glutathione peroxidase,glutathione reductase level was significantly decreased,but AGEs and TGF-β1 level was significantly increased.By contrast,administration of C.paliurus polysaccharides and metformin could reverse the above-mentioned results of the group of diabetic control,especially in the high-dose group of C.paliurus polysaccharides.CONCLUSION:Our findings suggest that C.paliurus polysaccharides may play a protecting role for nephropathy of diabetic rats by lowering glucose,creatinine,urea,uric acid level,enhancing the antioxidative ability,and reducing AGEs and TGF-β1 expression. | Xia Xichao Mao Dongxue Dai Hongmei Wu Xi Zhang Zuyuan Wang Huaying Zhou Wenwen Dong Yanmei Wang Mengqi Li Yuan Shao Xiangyang Ouyang Jingfeng | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6: | 9 |

| 4 | Development and validation of an HPLC–MS/MS method to determine clopidogrel in human plasma显示文摘A quantitative method for clopidogrel using online-SPE tandem LC–MS/MS was developed and fully validated according to the well-established FDA guidelines.The method achieves adequate sensitivity for pharmacokinetic studies,with lower limit of quantifications(LLOQs)as low as 10 pg/m L.Chromatographic separations were performed on reversed phase columns Kromasil Eternity-2.5-C18-UHPLC for both methods.Positive electrospray ionization in multiple reaction monitoring(MRM)mode was employed for signal detection and a deuterated analogue(clopidogrel-d_4)was used as internal standard(IS).Adjustments in sample preparation,including introduction of an online-SPE system proved to be the most effective method to solve the analyte back-conversion in clinical samples.Pooled clinical samples(two levels)were prepared and successfully used as real-sample quality control(QC)in the validation of back-conversion testing under different conditions.The result showed that the real samples were stable in room temperature for 24 h.Linearity,precision,extraction recovery,matrix effect on spiked QC samples and stability tests on both spiked QCs and real sample QCs stored in different conditions met the acceptance criteria.This online-SPE method was successfully applied to a bioequivalence study of75 mg single dose clopidogrel tablets in 48 healthy male subjects. | Gangyi Liu Chunxia Dong Weiwei Shen Xiaopei Lu Mengqi Zhang Yuzhou Gui Qinyi Zhou Chen Yu | 2016 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2016,6,1: | 3 |
| 5 | An efficient and versatile biopolishing strategy to construct high performance zinc anode显示文摘Conventional strategies for highly reversible Zn anodes usually involve complex and time-consuming production processes of current collectors,expensive and toxic electrolyte additives,or the introduction of inactive materials in protective layer.Here,we develop a fast,facile,and environmentally friendly biopolishing method to prepare dendrite-free Zn anodes,which merely involves the simple immersion of Zn foil in a biocompatible cysteine aqueous solution.The ravine structure formed by sulfhydryl etching for 30 min not only increases the electroactive area of Zn anode but also regulates the distribution of electric field and Zn ions,ensuring the homogeneous deposition and stripping of Zn ions.The biopolished Zn anode can be operated steadily for 2,000 h with a low voltage hysteresis at a current density of 1 mA·cm^(−2).In addition,Zn anodes with a cycle life of 500 h can be built by soaking for only 5 min,proving the high efficiency of the proposed method.This strategy is generalized to substances with sulfhydryl groups for polishing Zn electrodes with improved performance.The cysteine-polished Zn//activated carbon supercapacitor can stably run for 20,000 cycles without obvious capacity attenuation.The proposed strategy shows potential for producing advanced Zn anodes. | Guoqiang Sun Mengqi Zhou Xi-Yan Dong Shuang-Quan Zang Liangti Qu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,6: | 1 |
| 6 | Support surface pore structures matter: Effects of support surface pore structures on the TFC gas separation membrane performance over a wide pressure range显示文摘In this work, the effects of support surface pore structures(including surface pore size, surface pore density and surface porosity) on the performance of thin film composite(TFC) gas separation membrane over a wide pressure range(from 0.3 to 2.0 MPa) were studied. To fulfill it, the polysulfone(PSf) supports with different surface pore structures were prepared. Two kinds of wide-accepted polymeric membrane materials, i.e., polyvinylamine(PVAm) and Pebax 1657 copolymer, were used as skin layer materials. We pointed out for the first time that the support surface average pore size and pore density could affect the chain mobility of polymer of skin layer at the support surface pore entrance, then, can affect the TFC membrane performance. Besides, we also discussed the effects of support on the TFC membrane performance when the feed pressure changes for the first time. | 8 | Air exposure towards stable Li/Li_(10)GeP_(2)S_(12) interface for all-solid-state lithium batteries显示文摘Moist air is a great challenge for manufacturing sulfide-based all-solid-state lithium batteries as the water in air will lead to severe decomposition of sulfide electrolytes and release H2S gas.However,different with direct reaction with water,short-period air exposure of Li_(10)GeP_(2)S_(12) sulfide electrolyte with controlled humidity can greatly enhance the stability of Li_(10)GeP_(2)S_(12) against lithium metal,thus realizing stable Li_(10)GeP_(2)S_(12) based all-solid-state lithium metal batteries.During air exposure,partial hydrolysis reaction occurs on the surface of Li_(10)GeP_(2)S_(12) pellets,rapidly generating a protective decomposition layer of Li4P2S6,GeS2 and Li2HPO3 in dozens of seconds.This ionically conductive but electronically insulation protecting layer can effectively prevent the severe interface reaction between Li_(10)GeP_(2)S_(12) and lithium metal during electrochemical cycling.The Li/40s-air-exposed Li_(10)GeP_(2)S_(12)/Li cell shows long cycling stability for 1000 h.And the LiCoO_(2)/40s-air-exposed Li_(10)GeP_(2)S_(12)/Li batteries present good rate capability and long cyclic performances,showing capacity retention of 80%after 100 cycles. | Wei Weng Dong Zhou Gaozhan Liu Lin Shen Mengqi Li Xinshuang Chang Xiayin Yao | 2022 | Materials Futures2022,1,2: | 0 |

| 15 | Embolizing intracranial arteriovenous malformations with Onyx: experience at a single center with 250 patients显示文摘Objective The aim of this study is to evaluate the embolization techniques, as well as the effects and complications, using the non-adhesive liquid embolic material Onyx in intracranial arteriovenous malformations(AVMs). Methods The study comprises a retrospective analysis of 250 patients with intracranial AVMs treated with Onyx in Guangdong General Hospital from Jan 2010 to Dec 2017. The therapeutic strategies, as well as embolization effects and complications, of Onyx are summarized. Results Of 250 cases, 170 were male and 80 were female. Following the Spetzler–Martin(S-M) grading system, there were 35 cases of grade Ⅰ, 77 of grade Ⅱ, 72 of grade Ⅲ, 39 of grade Ⅳ, and 27 of grade V. All cases were treated with Onyx. In addition, 69 cases were treated with Glubran glue. The injected volume of Onyx per patient ranged from 1 mL to 10 mL. The largest volume of Onyx injected in one procedure was 10 mL. The cure rate was 67.9%(76/112) of grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ patients, 15.0%(11/72) of grade Ⅲ patients, 7.7%(3/39) of grade Ⅳ patients, and 0%(0/27) of grade V patients. The total cure rate was 36.0%(90/250). The average number of targeted vascular branches per patient was 2.28. The microcatheter broke off in two cases. There were two patients who suffered an intracranial hemorrhage during the embolic procedure; in one of these two patients, the microcatheter also broke off. There were two patients who suffered an intracranial hemorrhage after the embolic procedure; one of them died. Seven cases suffered new-onset neurological deficits or their original symptoms deteriorated. Six of them improved or recovered within 3–6 months. The total complication rate was 5.2%(13/250). Four types of lamina, namely organic-rich lamina, organic-bearing lamina, clay lamina and silty lamina, are developed in the Longmaxi Formation of Well Wuxi 2, and they form 2 kinds of lamina set and 5 kinds of beds. Because of increasing supply of terrigenous clasts and enhancing hydrodynamics and associated oxygen levels, the contents of TOC and brittle mineral reduce and content of clay mineral increases gradually as the depth becomes shallow. Organic-rich lamina, organic-rich + organic-bearing lamina set and organic-rich bed dominate the small layers 1-3 of Member 1 of the Longmaxi Formation, suggesting anoxic and weak hydraulic depositional setting. Organic-rich lamina, along with organic-bearing lamina and silty lamina, appear in small layer 4, suggesting increased oxygenated and hydraulic level. | 17 | Modeling drug-induced mitochondrial toxicity with human primary cardiomyocytes显示文摘Mitochondrial toxicity induced by therapeutic drugs is a major contributor for cardiotoxicity,posing a serious threat to pharmaceutical industries and patients’lives.However,mitochondrial toxicity testing is not incorporated into routine cardiac safety screening procedures.To accurately model native human cardiomyocytes,we comprehensively evaluated mitochondrial responses of adult human primary cardiomyocytes(h PCMs)to a nucleoside analog,remdesivir(RDV).Comparison of their response to human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes revealed that the latter utilized a mitophagy-based mitochondrial recovery response that was absent in h PCMs.Accordingly,action potential duration was elongated in h PCMs,reflecting clinical incidences of RDV-induced QT prolongation.In a screen for mitochondrial protectants,we identified mitochondrial ROS as a primary mediator of RDV-induced cardiotoxicity.Our study demonstrates the utility of h PCMs in the detection of clinically relevant cardiac toxicities,and offers a framework for h PCM-based high-throughput screening of cardioprotective agents. | Xiaoli Tang Hong Liu Rongjia Rao Yafei Huang Mengqi Dong Miaomiao Xu Shanshan Feng Xun Shi Li Wang Zengwu Wang Bingying Zhou | 2024 | Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,2: | 0 |
