2Investigating the Transport Mechanism of PM2.5 Pollution during January 2014 in Wuhan, Central China显示文摘Severe haze pollution that occurred in January 2014 in Wuhan was investigated. The factors leading to Wuhan’s PM2.5 pollution and the characteristics and formation mechanism were found to be significantly different from other megacities, like Beijing. Both the growth rates and decline rates of PM2.5 concentrations in Wuhan were lower than those in Beijing, but the monthly PM2.5 value was approximately twice that in Beijing. Furthermore, the sharp increases of PM2.5 concentrations were often accompanied by strong winds. A high-precision modeling system with an online source-tagged method was established to explore the formation mechanism of five haze episodes. The long-range transport of the polluted air masses from the North China Plain (NCP) was the main factor leading to the sharp increases of PM2.5 concentrations in Wuhan, which contributed 53.4% of the monthly PM2.5 concentrations and 38.5% of polluted days. Furthermore, the change in meteorological conditions such as weakened winds and stable weather conditions led to the accumulation of air pollutants in Wuhan after the long-range transport. The contribution from Wuhan and surrounding cities to the PM2.5 concentrations was determined to be 67.4% during this period. Under the complex regional transport of pollutants from surrounding cities, the NCP, East China, and South China, the five episodes resulted in 30 haze days in Wuhan. 3Probabilistic Automatic Outlier Detection for Surface Air Quality Measurements from the China National Environmental Monitoring Network显示文摘Although quality assurance and quality control procedures are routinely applied in most air quality networks, outliers can still occur due to instrument malfunctions, the influence of harsh environments and the limitation of measuring methods. Such outliers pose challenges for data-powered applications such as data assimilation, statistical analysis of pollution characteristics and ensemble forecasting. Here, a fully automatic outlier detection method was developed based on the probability of residuals, which are the discrepancies between the observed and the estimated concentration values. The estimation can be conducted using filtering—or regressions when appropriate—to discriminate four types of outliers characterized by temporal and spatial inconsistency, instrument-induced low variances, periodic calibration exceptions, and less PM_(10) than PM_(2.5) in concentration observations, respectively. This probabilistic method was applied to detect all four types of outliers in hourly surface measurements of six pollutants(PM_(2.5), PM_(10),SO_2,NO_2,CO and O_3) from 1436 stations of the China National Environmental Monitoring Network during 2014-16. Among the measurements, 0.65%-5.68% are marked as outliers. with PM_(10) and CO more prone to outliers. Our method successfully identifies a trend of decreasing outliers from 2014 to 2016,which corresponds to known improvements in the quality assurance and quality control procedures of the China National Environmental Monitoring Network. 4Targeting and exploitation of tumor-associated neutrophils to enhance immunotherapy and drug delivery for cancer treatment显示文摘Neutrophils,the most abundant leukocytes in human blood,are essential fighter immune cells against microbial infection.Based on the finding that neutrophils can either restrict or promote cancer progression,tumor-associated neutrophils(TAN)are classified into anti-tumor N1 and pro-tumor N2 subsets.One of the major mechanisms underlying the tumor-promoting function of N2-TANs is suppression of adaptive immune cells,in particular,cytotoxic T lymphocytes.Currently,no established methodologies are available that can unequivocally distinguish immunosuppressive TANs and granulocytic/polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cells(G/PMN-MDSC).In view of the critical role of PMN-MDSCs in immune evasion and resistance to cancer immunotherapy,as established from data obtained with diverse cancer models,therapeutic strategies targeting these cells have been actively developed to enhance the efficacy of immunotherapy.Here,we have reviewed the available literature on strategies targeting PMN-MDSCs and summarized the findings into four categories:(1)depletion of existing PMN-MDSCs,(2)blockade of the development of PMNMDSCs,(3)blockade of PMN-MDSC recruitment,(4)inhibition of immunosuppressive function.Owing to their high mobility to inflamed organs and ability to trespass the blood-brain barrier,neutrophils are outstanding candidate carriers in nanoparticle-based therapies.Another attractive application of neutrophils in cancer therapy is the use of neutrophil membrane-derived nanovesicles as a surrogate of extracellular vesicles for more efficient and scalable drug delivery.In the second part of the review,we have highlighted recent advances in the field of neutrophil-based cancer drug delivery.Overall,we believe that neutrophil-based therapeutics are a rapidly growing area of cancer therapy with significant potential benefits.Yuting Zhang Guoqiang Liu Miaomiao Sun Xin Lu 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1:9
5Wheat powdery mildew resistance gene Pm64 derived from wild emmer (Triticum turgidum var.dicoccoides) is tightly linked in repulsion with stripe rust resistance gene Yr5显示文摘Stripe rust and powdery mildew are both devastating diseases for durum and common wheat.Pyramiding of genes conferring resistance to one or more diseases in a single cultivar is an important breeding approach to provide broader spectra of resistances in wheat improvement. A new powdery mildew resistance gene originating from wild emmer(Triticum turgidum var.dicoccoides) backcrossed into common wheat(T. aestivum) line WE35 was identified. It conferred an intermediate level of resistance to Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici isolate E09 at the seedling stage and a high level of resistance at the adult plant stage. Genetic analysis showed that the powdery mildew resistance in WE35 was controlled by a dominant gene designated Pm64. Bulked segregant analysis(BSA) and molecular mapping indicated that Pm64 was located in chromosome bin 2 BL4-0.50–0.89. Polymorphic markers were developed from the corresponding genomic regions of Chinese Spring wheat and wild emmer accession Zavitan to delimit Pm64 to a 0.55 cM genetic interval between markers WGGBH1364 and WGGBH612, corresponding to a 15 Mb genomic region on Chinese Spring and Zavitan 2 BL, respectively. The genetic linkage map of Pm64 is critical for fine mapping and cloning. Pm64 was completely linked in repulsion with stripe rust resistance gene Yr5. 6A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. 7Design,methodology,and baseline of whole city‑million scale children and adolescents myopia survey(CAMS)in Wenzhou,China显示文摘Background:Myopia is the most common visual impairment in children and adolescents worldwide.This study described an economical and effective population-based screening pipeline and performed the project of a million scale children and adolescents myopia survey(CAMS),which will shed light on the further study of myopia from the level of epidemiology and precision medicine.Methods:We developed a novel population-based screening pattern,an intelligent screening process and internetbased information transmission and analysis system to carry out the survey consisting of school children in Wenzhou,China.The examination items include unaided distance visual acuity,presenting distance visual acuity,and noncycloplegic autorefraction.Myopia and high myopia were defined as spherical equivalent(SE)≤−1.00 diopters(D)and SE≤−6.00 D,respectively.Next,the reports of the vision checking were automatically sent to parents and the related departments.The CAMS project will be done two to four times annually with the support of the government.An online eyesight status information management system(OESIMS)was developed to construct comprehensive and efficient electronic vision health records(EVHRs)for myopia information inquiry,risk pre-warning,and further study.Results:The CAMS completed the first-round of screening within 30 days for 99.41%of Wenzhou students from districts and counties,in June 2019.A total of 1,060,925 participants were eligible for CAMS and 1,054,251(99.37%participation rate)were selected through data quality control,which comprised 1305 schools,and 580,609,251,050 and 170,967 elementary,middle,and high school students.The mean age of participants was 12.21±3.32 years(6-20 years),the female-to-male ratio was 0.82.The prevalence of myopia in elementary,middle,and high school students was 38.16%,77.52%,and 84.00%,respectively,and the high myopia incidence was 0.95%,6.90%,and 12.98%.Conclusions:The CAMS standardized myopia screening model involves automating large-scale information collection,data transmission,data analysis and early warning,thereby supporting myopia prevention and control.The entire survey reduced 90%of staff,cost,and time consumption compared with previous surveys.This will provide new insights for decision support for public health intervention.Liangde Xu Youyuan Zhuang Guosi Zhang Yunlong Ma Jian Yuan Changseng Tu MiaoMiao Li Wencan Wang Yaru Zhang Xiaoyan Lu Jing Li Xinting Liu Zhengbo Xue Meng Zhou Jie Sun Jinhua Bao Ming Li Fan Lu Hong Wang Jianzhong Su Jia Qu 2021Eye and Vision2021,8,1:7
8Mapping stripe rust resistance genes by BSR-Seq:YrMM58 and YrHY1 on chromosome 2AS in Chinese wheat lines Mengmai 58 and Huaiyang 1 are Yr17显示文摘Stripe rust(yellow rust), caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici(PST),is one of the most devastating fungal diseases in common wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) in China and worldwide. Resistance breeding is the most effective strategy to control diseases in crop plants. Chinese wheat lines Mengmai 58 and Huaiyang 1 are highly resistant to PST race CYR34(V26) at the adult plant stage. To genetically map the underlying resistance genes we developed segregating populations by crossing Mengmai 58 and Huaiyang 1 with the susceptible cultivar Nongda 399. The stripe rust resistances in Mengmai 58 and Huaiyang 1 were both controlled by single dominant genes, provisionally designated YrMM58 and YrHY1, respectively. Bulked segregant RNA-Seq(BSR-Seq) analysis showed that YrMM58 and YrHY1 were located in the same distal ~16 Mb region on chromosome 2 AS.Comparative genomics analysis with the physical map of Aegilops tauschii proved useful for developing additional markers to saturate the genetic linkage map. YrMM58 and YrHY1 were mapped to the distal end of chromosome arm 2 AS, with the closest marker WGGB148 being 7.7 cM and 3.8 cM from the resistance gene, which was considered to be Yr17. 9Mapping a leaf senescence gene els1 by BSR-Seq in common wheat显示文摘Leaf senescence is normally the last stage of plant development. Early senescence of functional leaves significantly reduces the photosynthetic time and efficiency, seriously affecting grain yield and quality in wheat. Discovering genes responsible for early leaf senescence(els) are necessary for developing novel germplasms and cultivars with delayed leaf-senescence through molecular manipulation and marker assisted selection. In this study, we identified an early leaf senescence line M114 in a derivative of a wheat breeding population. Genetic analysis indicated that early leaf senescence in M114 is controlled by a single recessive gene, provisionally designated els1. By applying bulked segregant analysis and RNA-Seq(BSR-Seq), seven polymorphic markers linked to els1 were developed and the gene was located on chromosome arm 2 BS in a 1.5 c M genetic interval between markers WGGB303 and WGGB305. 10Microfibrous entrapped ZnO-CaO/Al_2O_3 for high efficiency hydrogen production via methanol steam reforming显示文摘Sinter-locked microfibrous networks consisting of ~3 vol.% of 8 m (dia.) nickel microfibers have been utilized to entrap ~30 vol.% of 100–200 m dia. porous Al 2 O 3 . ZnO and CaO were then highly dispersed onto the pore surface of entrapped Al 2 O 3 by the incipient wetness impregnation method. Due to the unique combination of surface area, pore size/particle size, thermal conductivity, and void volume, the resulting microfibrous catalyst composites provided significant improvement of catalytic bed reactivity and utilization efficiency when used in methanol steam reforming. Roughly 260 mL/min of reformate, comprising >70% H 2 , <5% CO and trace CH 4 , with >97% methanol conversion, could be produced in a 1 cm 3 bed volume of our novel microfibrous entrapped ZnO-CaO/Al 2 O 3 catalyst composite at 470°C with a high weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) of 15 h -1 using steam/methanol (1.3/1) mixture as feedstock. 11Community-Based Management and Treatment Services for Psychosis-China, 2019显示文摘Introduction:Community-based services for psychosis are an important part of mental health services in China.We analyzed community-based follow-up and treatment services for psychosis in China in 2019 to provide evidence for policymaking and services delivering.Methods:Data from the National Information System for Psychosis were used to analyze usage of the information system and the registration,management,and treatment situation of patients with psychosis in China in 2019 and compared the results of 2019 with that of 2018.Results:In 2019,100%of cities and counties used the information system and 6,230,157 patients were registered.In 2019,there were 5,944,724 registered patients(94.05%)in China under community-based follow-up services and 5,375,252 patients(85.04%)had regular follow-ups;5,295,657 patients(83.78%)were treated by taking antipsychotics and 3,354,251(53.07%)patients took medication regularly;4,974,314 patients at home(87.81%)were in stable condition;and there was a significant difference in patients’stable condition and medication-taking rates among eastern,central,and western regions(p<0.05).Compared with 2018,the nationwide regular management rate,medication-taking rate,regular medication-taking rate,and patients’stable rate increased by 2.35%,2.48%,11.29%,and 7.21%respectively.Conclusions and Implications for Public Health Practice:Compared with 2018,the level of management and treatment improved significantly but still needs to be further strengthened,especially in western China.Miaomiao Zhao Ning Ma Xun Wang Xiamin Wu Wufang Zhang Runzi Chen Yulu Wang Lili Guan Hong Ma Xin Yu Lin Lu 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,41:3

13Redox-responsive biocompatible nanocarriers based on novel heparosan polysaccharides for intracellular anticancer drug delivery显示文摘Heparosan is a natural precursor of heparin biosynthesis in mammals. It is stable in blood circulation but can be degraded in lysosomes, showing good biocompatibility and long circulation features. So heparosan can be designed as anticancer drug carriers to increase tumor selectivity and improve the therapeutic effect. A novel redox-sensitive heparosancystamine-vitamin E succinate(KSV) micelle system was constructed for intracellular delivery of doxorubicin(DOX). Simultaneously, the redox-insensitive heparosan-adipic acid dihydrazide-vitamin E succinate copolymer(KV) was synthesized as control. DOX-loaded micelles(DOX/KSV) with an average particle size of 90–120 nm had good serum stability and redox-triggered depolymerization. In vitro drug release test showed that DOX/KSV micelles presented obvious redox-triggered release behavior compared with DOX/KV. Cytotoxicity and cell uptake were investigated using MGC80-3 tumor cells and COS7 fibroblast-like cells. The cell survival rate of blank micelles was more than 90%, and the cytotoxicity of DOX/KSV in MGC80-3 cells was higher than in COS7 cells, indicating that the carrier has better biocompatibility and less toxicity side effect. The cytotoxicity of DOX/KSV against MGC80-3 cells was significantly greater than that of free DOX and DOX/KV. Furthermore, compared with DOX/KV in MGC80-3 cells, DOX/KSV micelles uptook more anticancer drugs and then released DOX faster into the cell nucleus. The micelles were endocytosed by multiple pathways, but clathrin-mediated endocytosis was the main pathway. 14Debonding Patch Detection in FRP-Strengthened Materials with Fiber-Optic Interferometer显示文摘The interfacial debonding in fiber-reinforced plastic(FRP)strengthened repair material will affect the bonding strength and lead to failure of the repair without warning.Unfortunately the interfacial damage is normally invisible and often in the form of a patch rather than a through-width crack.Therefore,a debonding patch detection technique based on fiber optic interferometry is proposed.A quasi-impulse loading is applied with a rubberhead hammer and the total elongation of a surface-mounted optical fiber along the length of the repair material is measured as a function of load position.When a debonding patch is present,the induced sudden slope or sign change on the plot of fiber integral strain v.s.load position will reveal the extent and the location of the debonded area.The results of the study indicate that the proposed technique is applicable for debonding patch detection in repaired members under various support conditions.Xu Ying Wang Dexiang Tang Tianyou Lu Miaomiao 2017Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2017,34,3:1

16A study of the initial adhesive force of cells on silk fibroin-based materials using micropipette aspiration显示文摘With the development of biomaterials,more attention is paid to the adhesion characteristics between cells and materials.It is necessary to study the adhesive force with a suitable method.Silk fibroin(SF)is widely investigated in biomedical application due to its novel biocompatibility and mechanical properties.In this article,the micropipette aspiration method and measurement pattern of uniform cells in round shape(UCR)was used to study the initial adhesive force of three types of cells on pure silk fibroin films(SFFs).We also compared the adhesive forces of modified SFFs with that of pure SFFs.The results of adhesive force in the initial adhesive stage were in concordance with the results of MTT assay andmicroscope observation,which were confirmed by the above three cell lines and four kinds of SFFs.The results indicated UCR was an efficient and quantitative measurement pattern in initial adhesion stage.This article also provides a useful method in identifying initial cell-materials interactions.Xiaojie Lian Shichao Liu Liming Liu Rui Xu Miaomiao Du Song Wang Hesun Zhu Qiang Lu Quanyou Zhang Yali Wu Di Huang Yan Wei 2018Regenerative Biomaterials2018,5,3:1

18Lithium nitrate regulated carbonate electrolytes for practical Li-metal batteries: Mechanisms, principles and strategies显示文摘Li-metal batteries(LMBs)regain research prominence owing to the ever-increasing high-energy requirements.Commercially available carbonate electrolytes exhibit unfavourable parasitic reactions with Limetal anode(LMA),leading to the formation of unstable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)and the breed of Li dendrites/dead Li.Significantly,lithium nitrate(LiNO_(3)),an excellent film-forming additive,proves crucial to construct a robust Li_(3)N/Li_(2)O/Li_(x)NO_(y)-rich SEI after combining with ether-based electrolytes.Thus,the given challenge leads to natural ideas which suggest the incorporation of LiNO_(3) into commercial carbonate for practical LMBs.Regrettably,LiNO_(3) demonstrates limited solubility(~800 ppm)in commercial carbonate electrolytes.Thence,developing stable SEI and dendrite-free LMA with the incorporation of LiNO_(3) into carbonate electrolytes is an efficacious strategy to realize robust LMBs via a scalable and cost-effective route.Therefore,this review unravels the grievances between LMA,LiNO_(3)and carbonate electrolytes,and enables a comprehensive analysis of LMA stabilizing mechanism with LiNO_(3),dissolution principle of LiNO_(3) in carbonate electrolytes,and LiNO_(3) introduction strategies.This review converges attention on a point that the LiNO_(3)-introduction into commercial carbonate electrolytes is an imperious choice to realize practical LMBs with commercial 4 V layered cathode.Kun Wang Wenbing Ni Liguang Wang Lu Gan Jing Zhao Zhengwei Wan Wei Jiang Waqar Ahmad Miaomiao Tian Min Ling Jun Chen Chengdu Liang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2:1

20Impacts of meteorology and precursor emission change on O_(3) variation in Tianjin, China from 2015 to 2021显示文摘Deterioration of surface ozone (O_(3)) pollution in Northern China over the past few years received much attention.For many cities,it is still under debate whether the trend of surface O_(3)variation is driven by meteorology or the change in precursors emissions.In this work,a time series decomposition method (Seasonal-Trend decomposition procedure based on Loess (STL)) and random forest (RF) algorithm were utilized to quantify the meteorological impacts on the recorded O_(3)trend and identify the key meteorological factors affecting O_(3)pollution in Tianjin,the biggest coastal port city in Northern China.After “removing” the meteorological fluctuations from the observed O_(3)time series,we found that variation of O_(3)in Tianjin was largely driven by the changes in precursors emissions.The meteorology was unfavorable for O_(3)pollution in period of 2015-2016,and turned out to be favorable during 2017-2021.Specifically,meteorology contributed 9.3μg/m^(3)O_(3)(13%) in 2019,together with the increase in precursors emissions,making 2019 to be the worst year of O_(3)pollution since 2015.Since then,the favorable effects of meteorology on O_(3)pollution tended to be weaker.Temperature was the most important factor affecting O_(3)level,followed by air humidity in O_(3)pollution season.In the midday of summer days,O_(3)pollution frequently exceeded the standard level (>160μg/m^(3)) at a combined condition with relative humidity in 40%-50%and temperature>31℃.Both the temperature and the dryness of the atmosphere need to be subtly considered for summer O_(3)forecasting.Jing Ding Qili Dai Wenyan Fan Miaomiao Lu Yufen Zhang Suqin Han Yinchang Feng 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4:1
