1A preventive control strategy for static voltage stability based on an efficient power plant model of electric vehicles显示文摘With the increasing integration of wind farms and electric vehicles(EVs)in power systems,voltage stability is becoming more and more serious.Based on vehicle-to-grid(V2G),an efficient power plant model of EVs(E-EPP)was developed to estimate EV charging load with available corresponding response capacity under different charging strategies.A preventive control strategy based on E-EPP was proposed to maintain the static voltage stability margin(VSM)of power system above a predefined security level.Two control modes were used including the disconnection of EV charging load(‘V1G’mode)and the discharge of stored battery energy back to power grid(‘V2G’mode).A modified IEEE 14-bus system with high penetration of wind power and EVs was used to verify the effectiveness of preventive control strategy.Simulation results showed that the proposed strategy can not only improve the static voltage stability of power system with considerable wind generation,but also guarantee the travelling comfort for EV owners.Mingshen WANG Yunfei MU Hongjie JIA Jianzhong WU Xiuping YAO Xiaodan YU Janaka EKANAYAKE 2015Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2015,3,1:25
2Load curve smoothing strategy based on unified state model of different demand side resources显示文摘Renewable energy based distributed generation(DG) has the potential to reach high penetration levels in the residential region. However, its integration at the demand side will cause rapid power fluctuations of the tieline in the residential region. The traditional generators are generally difficult to manage rapid power fluctuations due to their insufficient efficiency requirements and low responding speed. With an effective control strategy, the demand side resources(DSRs) including DGs, electric vehicles and thermostatically-controlled loads at thedemand side, are able to serve as the energy storage system to smooth the load fluctuations. However, it is a challenge to properly model different types of DSRs. To solve this problem, a unified state model is first developed to describe the characteristics of different DSRs. Then a load curve smoothing strategy is proposed to offset the load fluctuations of the tie-line of the residential region, where a control matrix deduced from the unified state model is introduced to manage the power outputs of different DSRs,considering the response order and the comfort levels.Finally, a residential region with households is used to validate the load curve smoothing strategy based on the unified state model, and the results show that the power fluctuation rate of the tie-line is significantly decreased.Meanwhile, comparative study results are shown to demonstrate the advantages of the unified state model based load curve smoothing strategy.Mingshen WANG Yunfei MU Tao JIANG Hongjie JIA Xue LI Kai HOU Tong WANG 2018Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2018,6,3:8
3Cost-efficient Thermal Management for a 48V Li-ion Battery in a Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle显示文摘The 48V mild hybrid system is a cost-efficient solution for original equipment manufacturers to meet increasingly stringent fuel consumption requirements.However,hybrid functions such as auto-stop/start and brake regeneration are unavailablewhen a 48V battery is at very low temperature because of its limited charge and discharge capability.Therefore,it is important to develop cost-efficient thermal management to warm-up the battery of a 48V mild hybrid electric vehicle(HEV)to recover hybrid functions quickly in cold climate.Following the model-based“V”process,we first define the requirements and then design different mechanisms to heat a 48V battery.Afterward,we build a 48V battery model in LMS AMESim and conduct co-simulation with simplified battery management system and hybrid control unit algorithms in MATLAB Simulink for analysis.Finally,we carry out a series of vehicle experiments at low temperature and observe the effect of heating to validate the design.Both simulation results and experimental data show that a cold 48V battery placed in a cabin with hot air can be heated effectively in the developed“Enhanced Generator Mode with 48V Battery”mode.The entire design is in a newly developed software that cyclically charges and discharges a 48V battery for quick warm-up in cold temperature without needing any additional hardware such as a heater,making it a cost-efficient solution for HEVs.Chao Yu Guangji Ji Chao Zhang John Abbott Mingshen Xu Pieter Ramaekers Jianxiang Lu 2018Automotive Innovation2018,1,4:3
4Geochemical identification of coal-sourced oils and inter-bedded shale-sourced oils as revealed by compound specific carbon isotopic analysis显示文摘To date, questions remain as to how to differentiate between coal- and interbedded shale-sourced oils in coal measures. Based on the hypothesis that δ13C value of sedimentary organic matter is controlled by the depositional environment and productivities of biota grown in such depositional setting, this note examines compound specific carbon isotopic profiles from coal and interbedded shale extracts using the gas chromatography-isotope ratio mass spec-trometry technique (GC/IRMS). The results show that compound specific carbon isotope values from coal extracts are enriched in 13C relative to that of interbedded shale extracts, and provide useful information in characterizing coal- and interbedded shale-sourced oils in coal measures. 5Analysis and Control of Modular Multi-terminal DC Power Flow Controller with Fault Current Limiting Function显示文摘In order to overcome the problems of power flow control and fault current limiting in multi-terminal high voltage direct current(MTDC)grids,this paper proposes a modular multi-terminal DC power flow controller(MM-DCPFC)with fault current limiting function.The topology structure,operation principle,and equivalent circuit of MM-DCPFC are introduced,and such a structure has the advantages of modularity and scalability.The power balance mechanism is studied and a hierarchical power balance control strategy is proposed.The results show that MM-DCPFC can achieve internal power exchange,which avoids the use of external power supply.The fault characteristics of MM-DCPFC are analyzed,fault current limiting and self-protection methods are proposed,and the factors affecting the current limiting capability are studied.The simulation models are established in PLECS,and the simulation results verify the effectiveness of MM-DCPFC in power flow control,fault current limiting,and scalability.In addition,a prototype is developed to validate the function and control method of MM-DCPFC.Qianming Xu Xinyu Huang Xu Chu Mingshen Li Zhikang Shuai Chunming Tu Josep M.Guerrero 2021Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,6:2

15A Novel Friction Stir Spot Riveting of Al/Cu Dissimilar Materials显示文摘In order to eliminate the disadvantages of the keyhole in conventional friction stir spot welding joint and attain the highstrength lap joint of Al/Cu dissimilar metals,a novel welding technique,named as friction stir spot riveting(FSSR),was proposed.A pinless tool and an extra filling stud were employed.The Al/Cu spot joints without keyhole defect were achieved by the FSSR.A Cu anchor-like structure was formed,which greatly increased the mechanical interlocking between the upper Al sheet and lower Cu sheet.The thin intermetallic compounds containing CuAl2 and CuAl at the Al/Cu interface strengthened the joining interface between the Al sheet and the Cu stud.Increasing rotating velocity increased frictional heat and plastic deformation and then eliminated the interfacial joining defects.The FSSR joint with the maximum tensile shear load of 3.50 kN was achieved at a rotating velocity of 1800 rpm and a dwell time of 20 s,whose fracture path passed through the softened region of upper Al sheet.In summary,the novel FSSR technique has the advantages of strong mechanical interlocking and metallurgical bonding between dissimilar materials,thereby attaining the high-strength spot joint.Jinglin Liu Qi Song Lihui Song Shude Ji Mingshen Li Zhen Jia Kang Yang 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,1:0
16Adaptive Power Control Based on Double-layer Q-learning Algorithm for Multi-parallel Power Conversion Systems in Energy Storage Station显示文摘An energy storage station(ESS)usually includes multiple battery systems under parallel operation.In each battery system,a power conversion system(PCS)is used to connect the power system with the battery pack.When allocating the ESS power to multi-parallel PCSs in situations with fluctuating operation,the existing power control methods for parallel PCSs have difficulty in achieving the optimal efficiency during a long-term time period.In addition,existing Q-learning algorithms for adaptive power allocation suffer from the curse of dimensionality.To overcome these challenges,an adaptive power control method based on the double-layer Q-learning algorithm for n parallel PCSs of the ESS is proposed in this paper.First,a selection method for the power allocation coefficient is developed to avoid repeated actions.Then,the outer action space is divided into n+1 power allocation modes according to the power allocation characteristics of the optimal operation efficiency.The inner layer uses an actor neural network to determine the optimal action strategy of power allocations in the non-steady state.Compared with existing power control methods,the proposed method achieves better performance for both static and dynamic operation efficiency optimization.The proposed method optimizes the overall operation efficiency of PCSs effectively under the fluctuating power outputs of the ESS.Yile Wu Le Ge Xiaodong Yuan Xiangyun Fu Mingshen Wang 2022Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2022,10,6:0
17A novel seal-flow multi-vortex friction stir lap welding of metal to polymer matrix composites显示文摘The friction stir lap welding(FSLW)of metal to polymer is a challenging work due to the unavoidable polymer overflowing.Facing this problem,a novel seal-flow multi-vortex friction stir lap welding(SM-FSLW)technology based on the subversively-designed multi-step pin was put forward.Choosing 7075 aluminum alloy and short glass fiber-reinforced polyether ether ketone(PEEK)as research subjects,the welding temperature,material flow,formation and tensile shear strength of dissimilar materials lap joint under the SM-FSLW were studied and compared with those under traditional FSLW based on the conical pin.The multi-step pin rather than the conical pin effectively hindered the polymer overflowing due to the formation of vortexes by the step,thereby attaining a joint with a smooth surface.Compared with traditional FSLW,the SMFSLW obtained the higher welding temperature,the more violent material flow and the larger area with high flow velocity,thereby producing the macro-mechanical and micro-mechanical interlockings and then heightening the joint loading capacity.The tensile shear strength of lap joint under SM-FSLW was 27.8% higher than that under traditional FSLW.The SM-FSLW technology using the multi-step pin provides an effective way on obtaining a heterogeneous lap joint of metal to polymer with the excellent formation and high strength.Shuaiqiang NIAN Mingshen LI Shude JI Wei HU Zhiqing ZHANG Zelin SUN 2024Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2024,37,1:0
18Study on fluid inclusions of Qiangsheng gold deposit in Fushun of Liaoning显示文摘The Qiangsheng gold deposit belongs to quartz vein type. The fluid inclusions consist of four types:aqueous single-phase inclusions,aqueous two-phase inclusions,carbonated two-phase inclusions and carbonated three-phase inclusions. The fluid inclusions are characterized by low salinity( 5%-9% Na Cl eqv),low density( 0. 66--0. 72 g / cm^3) and medium temperature( 210℃--250℃). The pressure of ore-forming is 60--95 MPa and the metallogenic depth is about 5. 49--7. 56 km. During the mineralizing process,ore-forming fluid underwent fluid unmixing in CO_2-H_2O-Na Cl system. The stable isotope results indicate that the ore-forming fluids mainly generated from mantle,with the participation of a small amount of atmospheric water. 19Silver particle interlayer with high dislocation density for improving the joining of BaZr_(0.1)Ce_(0.7)Y_(0.1)Yb_(0.1)O_(3-δ) electrolyte and AISI 441 interconnect显示文摘One of the critical challenges for the protonic ceramic fuel cell stack is sealing electrolytes and interconnects.However,the traditional AgeCuO sealant will aggravate the oxidation along the interconnect surface and result in brittle compound layers at the BaZr_(0.1)Ce_(0.7)Y_(0.1)Yb_(0.1)O_(3-δ)(BZCYYb)electrolyte interface.The present work demonstrates that a silver particle interlayer with high dislocation density can be adopted to join BZCYYb electrolyte to the interconnect(AISI 441 stainless)in air instead of traditional AgeCuO sealant.Elevating temperatures result in a sufficient bonding at the Ag/BZCYYb interface,and a defect-free joint is obtained at 950℃.Atomic bonding at Ag/BZCYYb interface is confirmed by TEM.Also,a dense and thin oxide layer(2-3 μm)is formed along the AISI 441 interface.Ag particles in the interlayer provide the main driving force for the sintering joining.The massive dislocations promote the recovery and recrystallization of the Ag interlayer,as well as the interdiffusion of BZCYYb/Ag.After aging in the wet oxidizing atmosphere at 600℃ for 300 h,joints remain intact and dense,indicating superior oxidation resistance and aging performance.Besides,the joint shear strength(25.3 MPa)is 59%higher than that of the joint brazed by traditional AgeCuO.Xiaoyang Wang Chun Li Qihan Zhou Mingshen Li Mushi Zheng Junlei Qi Xiaoqing Si Jian Cao 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,5:0
20Multiple-statistical genome-wide association analysis and genomic prediction of fruit aroma and agronomic traits in peaches显示文摘‘Chinese Cling’is an important founder in peach breeding history due to the pleasant flavor.Genome-wide association studies(GWAS)combined with genomic selection are promising tools in fruit tree breeding,as there is a considerable time lapse between crossing and release of a cultivar.In this study,242 peaches from Shanghai germplasm were genotyped with 145456 single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs).The six agronomic traits of fruit flesh color,fruit shape,fruit hairiness,flower type,pollen sterility,and soluble solids content,along with 14 key volatile odor compounds(VOCs),were recorded for multiple-statistical GWAS.Except the reported candidate genes,six novel genes were identified as associated with these traits.Thirty-nine significant SNPs were associated with eight VOCs.The putative candidate genes were confirmed for VOCs by RNA-seq,including three genes in the biosynthesis pathway found to be associated with linalool,soluble solids content,and cis-3-hexenyl acetate.Multiple-trait genomic prediction enhanced the predictive ability forγ-decalactone to 0.7415 compared with the single-trait model value of 0.1017.One PTS1-SSR marker was designed to predict the linalool content,and the favorable genotype 187/187 was confirmed,mainly existing in the‘Shanghai Shuimi’landrace.Overall,our findings will be helpful in determining peach accessions with the ideal phenotype and show the potential of multiple-trait genomic prediction to improve accuracy for highly correlated genetic traits.The diagnostic marker will be valuable for the breeder to bridge the gap between quantitative trait loci and marker-assisted selection for developing strong-aroma cultivars.Xiongwei Li Jiabo Wang Mingshen Su Minghao Zhang Yang Hu Jihong Du Huijuan Zhou Xiaofeng Yang Xianan Zhang Huijuan Jia Zhongshan Gao Zhengwen Ye 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,7:0
