1Adaptive and regulatory mechanisms in aged rats with postoperative cognitive dysfunction显示文摘Inflammation may play a role in postoperative cognitive dysfunction. 5′ Adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase, nuclear factor-kappa B, interleukin-1β, and tumor necrosis factor-α are involved in inflammation. Therefore, these inflammatory mediators may be involved in postoperative cognitive dysfunction. Western immunoblot analysis revealed 5′ adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase and nuclear factor-kappa B in the hippocampus of aged rats were increased 1–7 days after splenectomy. Moreover, interleukin-1β and tumor necrosis factor-α were upregulated and gradually decreased. 2Acupuncture preconditioning protects hippocampal neurons from transient ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘The present study established a model of brain ischemia in aged rats using four-vessel occlusion.We observed hippocampal CA1 neuronal apoptosis and apoptosis-mediated protease caspase-3 expression following preconditioning of electroacupuncture at Baihui(GV 20).Our results showed that the number of hippocampal CA1 normal neurons was decreased,and degenerated neurons were increased 12 hours to 3 days following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion.The number of hippocampal CA1 apoptotic neurons and caspase-3-positive neurons in rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury was significantly decreased following acupuncture preconditioning.Acupuncture preconditioning protects aged rats against ischemia/reperfusion injury by regulating caspase-3 protein expression.Mingshan Wang Haipeng Zhou Fei Shi Shilong Ma Yanlin Bi Yuqiu Liu Hong Liu Haiou Li 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,15:12
3Determination of Eight Organophosphorus Pesticide Residues in Pepper by QuEChERS-Gas Chromatography显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to establish a QuEChERS-gas chromatography method for determination of eight kinds of organophosphorus pesticide residues in pepper. [Methods] The samples were extracted by acetonitrile,and anhydrous magnesium sulfate was used for salting out. The extracts were then purified by dispersive solid phase extraction combining with GCB,C18 and PSA. Samples were analyzed by FPD detector. External standard was used as quantitive method. [Results]The detection limits were in the range of 0. 001-0. 008 mg/kg,the average recoveries ranged from 83. 5% to 101. 2%,and the relative standard deviation( RSD) of the eight organophosphorus pesticide residues were below 5%. 4Protective effects of acupuncture on brain tissue following ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘BACKGROUND: In patients with cerebrovascular disease, by means of the neuroendocrine system, acupuncture supports the transformation of a local pathological status into a physiological status. Recently, great progress has been made in studying the protective effects of acupuncture on brain ischemia/reperfusion injury. OBJECTIVE: To summarize research advances in the protective effects of acupuncture on brain ischemia/reperfusion injury. RETRIEVAL STRATEGY: Using the terms 'acupuncture, transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation, cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury, and cerebral protection', we retrieved articles from the PubMed database published between January 1991 and June 1994. Meanwhile, we searched the China National Knowledge Infrastructure with the same terms. Altogether, 114 articles and their results were analyzed. Inclusive criteria: studies that were closely related to the protective effects of acupuncture on brain ischemia/reperfusion injury, or studies, whose contents were in the same study field and were published recently, or in the authorized journals. Exclusive criteria: repetitive studies. LITERATURE EVALUATION: Thirty articles that related to the protective effects of acupuncture on brain ischemia/reperfusion injury were included. Among them, 7 were clinical studies, and the remaining 23 articles were animal experimental studies. DATA SYNTHESIS: ① Animal experimental studies have demonstrated that acupuncture improves brain blood perfusion and brain electrical activity, influences pathomorphological and ultramicrostructural changes in ischemic brain tissue, is beneficial in maintaining the stability of intracellular and extracellular ions, resists free radical injury and lipid peroxidation, and influences cytokine, neurotransmitter, brain cell signal transduction, and apoptosis-regulating genes. ② Clinical studies have demonstrated that acupuncture not only promotes nutritional supply to local brain tissue in patients with cerebral infarction, but also increases brain blood flow and attenuates inflammatory reactions of injured brain tissue. ③ At present, the mechanisms underlying the protective effects of acupuncture on brain ischemia/reperfusion injury have been greatly studied. Some conclusions, however, are not sufficient or comprehensive, and remain as primarily isolated incidents. CONCLUSION: Studies that focused on mechanisms that influence the protective effects of acupuncture on brain ischemia/reperfusion injury have provided results; however, several mechanisms are still poorly understood. 5Edema and neuronal apoptosis in the hippocampus and cortex of elderly rats following transient cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘BACKGROUND: Previous studies of cerebral ischemia have used young animals, with an ischemictime greater than 5 minutes (safe time limit). Despite an increased understanding of neuronalapoptosis, it remains uncertain whether brief cerebral ischemic events of 5 minutes or less damagebrain tissue in elderly rodents.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of transient cerebral ischemia (5 minutes)/reperfusion injuryon brain cortical and hippocampal edema, aquaporin-4 (AQP-4) expression, and neuronal apoptosisin aged rats, and to compare ischemic sensitivity between cortex and hippocampus.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized, controlled, animal experiment was performed at theInstitute of Cerebrovascular Disease, Qingdao University Medical School from April 2008 to March2009.MATERIALS: Rabbit anti-AQP-4 polyclonal antibody, TUNEL kit, and SABC immunohistochemistrykit were purchased from Wuhan Boster Bioengineering, China.METHODS: A total of 160 healthy, male, aged 19-21 months, Wistar rats were randomly assignedto 4 groups: sham-surgery, and ischemia 1-, 3-, and 5-minute groups, with 40 rats in each group.The global cerebral ischemia model was established using the Pusinelli four-vessel occlusion, andthe three cerebral ischemia groups were subdivided into reperfusion 12-hour, 1-, 2-, 3-, and 7-daysubgroups, with 8 rats in each subgroup. The sham-surgery group was subjected to exposure of thefirst cervical bilateral alar foramina and bilateral common carotid arteries.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The dry-wet weight assay was used to measure brain water contentand histopathology of the cortex and hippocampus was observed following hematoxylin-eosinstaining. In addition, cortical and hippocampal AQP-4 expression was detected by streptavidin-biotincomplex immunohistochemistry, and neuronal apoptosis was detected by the TUNEL method.RESULTS: There was no significant difference in brain water content or AQP-4 expression in thecortex and hippocampus between ischemia 1- and 3-minute groups and the sham-surgery group orbrain water content or AQP-4 expression in the cortex between ischemia 5-minute group andsham-surgery group (P> 0.05). However, brain water content and AQP-4 expression in thehippocampus after 5 minutes of cerebral ischemia were significantly increased compared with thesham-surgery group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01 ). Several TUNEL-positive cells were observed in thecortex and hippocampus of the sham-surgery group and ischemia 1-minute group, as well as in thecortex of the ischemia 3-minute group. In addition, the number of apoptotic neurons in thehippocampus of ischemia 3-minute group and in the cortex and hippocampus of ischemia 5-minutegroup was significantly increased (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Neuronal apoptosis was increased after 12hours of ischemia/reperfusion, and it reached a peak by 2 days (P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: Transient cerebral ischemia (5 minutes) resulted in increased hippocampal edema,AQP-4 expression, and neuronal apoptosis. 6Preparation of Fe_x Ce_(1-x) O_y solid solution and its application in Pd-only three-way catalysts显示文摘FeO x-CeO 2 mixed oxides with increasing Fe/(Ce+Fe) atomic ratio(1-20 mol%) were prepared by sol-gel method and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) and Hydrogen temperature-programmed reduction(H 2-TPR) techniques.The dynamic oxygen storage capacity(DOSC) was investigated by mass spectrometry with CO/O 2 transient pulses.The powder XRD data following Rietveld refinement revealed that the solubility limit of iron oxides in the CeO 2 was 5 mol% based on Fe/(Ce+Fe).The lattice parameters experienced a decrease followed by an increase due to the influence of the maximum solubility limit of iron oxides in the CeO 2.TPR analysis revealed that Fe introduction into ceria strongly modified the textual and structural properties,which influenced the oxygen handling properties.DOSC results revealed that Ce-based materials containing Fe oxides with multiple valences contribute to the majority of DOSC.The kinetic analysis indicated that the calculated apparent kinetic parameters obey the compensation effect.The three-way catalytic performance for Pd-only catalysts based on the Fe doping support exhibited the redundant iron species separated out of the CeO 2 and interacted with the ceria and Pd species on the surface,which seriously influenced the catalytic properties,especially after hydrothermal aging treatment.Jianqiang Wang Meiqing Shen Jun Wang Mingshan Cui Jidong Gao Jie Ma Shuangxi Liu 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,4:3
7Two-dimensional TiO_(2)(001)nanosheets as an effective photo-assisted recyclable sensor for the electrochemical detection of bisphenol A显示文摘Electrochemical detection is an efficient method for the detection of Bisphenol A(BPA).Herein,a sensitive photo-electrochemical sensor based on two-dimensional(2 D)TiO_(2)(001)nanosheets was fabricated and then used for BPA electrochemical detection.Upon light irradiation,the 2 D TiO_(2)(001)nanosheets electrode provided a lower detection limit of BPA detection compared with an ambient electrochemical determination.The low detection limit is^5.37 nmol/L(S/N=3).Furthermore,profiting from the photoelectric characteristics,the 2 D TiO_(2)(001)nanosheets electrode exhibits a nice regeneration prope rty.After 45 min of light irradiation,the electrochemical signal was regenerated from14.7%to 82.9%of the original signal at the 6th cycle.This is attributed to the non-selective·OH mediation produced by the 2 D TiO_(2)(001)nanosheets mineralizing anodic polymeric products and resuming surface reactive sites.This investigation indicates that photo-assistance is an efficient method to improve the electrochemical sensor for detecting BPA in water environments.Sujuan Hu Yingjian Yu Yu Guan Yanhuan Li Baoling Wang Mingshan Zhu 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:3
8Integrated photonic RF self-interference cancellation on a silicon platform for full-duplex communication显示文摘In-band full-duplex(IBFD) technology can double the spectrum utilization efficiency for wireless communications,and increase the data transmission rate of B5G and 6G networks and satellite communications. RF self-interference is the major challenge for the application of IBFD technology, which must be resolved. Compared with the conventional electronic method, the photonic self-interference cancellation(PSIC) technique has the advantages of wide bandwidth, high amplitude and time delay tuning precision, and immunity to electromagnetic interference.Integrating the PSIC system on chip can effectively reduce the size, weight, and power consumption and meet the application requirement, especially for mobile terminals and small satellite payloads. In this paper, the silicon integrated PSIC chip is presented first and demonstrated for IBFD communication. The integrated PSIC chip comprises function units including phase modulation, time delay and amplitude tuning, sideband filtering, and photodetection, which complete the matching conditions for RF self-interference cancellation. Over the wide frequency range of C, X, Ku, and K bands, from 5 GHz to 25 GHz, a cancellation depth of more than 20 dB is achieved with the narrowest bandwidth of 140 MHz. A maximum bandwidth of 630 MHz is obtained at a center frequency of10 GHz. The full-duplex communication experiment at Ku-band by using the PSIC chip is carried out. Cancellation depths of 24.9 dB and 26.6 dB are measured for a bandwidth of 100 MHz at central frequencies of 12.4 GHz and14.2 GHz, respectively, and the signal of interest(SOI) with 16-quadrature amplitude modulation is recovered successfully. The factors affecting the cancellation depth and maximum interference to the SOI ratio are investigated in detail. 9TaMADS29 interacts with TaNF-YB1 to synergistically regulate early grain development in bread wheat显示文摘Grain development is a crucial determinant of yield and quality in bread wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).However,the regulatory mechanisms underlying wheat grain development remain elusive.Here we report how Ta MADS29 interacts with Ta NF-YB1 to synergistically regulate early grain development in bread wheat.The tamads29 mutants generated by CRISPR/Cas9 exhibited severe grain filling deficiency,coupled with excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and abnormal programmed cell death that occurred in early developing grains,while overexpression of Ta MADS29 increased grain width and1,000-kernel weight.Further analysis revealed that Ta MADS29 interacted directly with Ta NF-YB1;null mutation in Ta NF-YB1caused grain developmental deficiency similar to tamads29 mutants.The regulatory complex composed of Ta MADS29 and Ta NF-YB1 exercises its possible function that inhibits the excessive accumulation of ROS by regulating the genes involved in chloroplast development and photosynthesis in early developing wheat grains and prevents nucellar projection degradation and endosperm cell death,facilitating transportation of nutrients into the endosperm and wholly filling of developing grains.Collectively,our work not only discloses the molecular mechanism of MADS-box and NF-Y TFs in facilitating bread wheat grain development,but also indicates that caryopsis chloroplast might be a central regulator of grain development rather than merely a photosynthesis organelle.More importantly,our work offers an innovative way to breed high-yield wheat cultivars by controlling the ROS level in developing grains.Guoyu Liu Runqi Zhang Sen Li Rehmat Ullah Fengping Yang Zihao Wang Weilong Guo Mingshan You Baoyun Li Chaojie Xie Liangsheng Wang Jie Liu Zhongfu Ni Qixin Sun Rongqi Liang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,7:1
10Strain-sensitive ferromagnetic two-dimensional Cr_(2)Te_(3)显示文摘Searching for room temperature magnetic two-dimensional(2D)materials is a charming goal,but the number of satisfied materials is tiny.Strain can introduce considerable deformation into the lattice structure of 2D materials,and thus significantly modulate their intrinsic properties.In this work,we demonstrated a remarkable strain-modulated magnetic properties in the chemical vapor deposited Cr_(2)Te_(3) nanoflakes grown on mica substrate.We found the Curie temperature of Cr_(2)Te_(3) nanoflakes can be positively and negatively modulated under tensile and compressive strain respectively,with a maximum varied value of -40 and-90 K,dependent on the thickness of samples.Besides,the coercive field of Cr_(2)Te_(3) nanoflakes also showed a significant decrease under the applied strain,suggesting the decrease of exchange interaction or the change of the magnetization direction.This work suggests a promise to employ interfacial strain to accelerate the practical application of room temperature 2D magnetics.Junchuan Zhong Mingshan Wang Teng Liu Yinghe Zhao Xiang Xu Shasha Zhou Junbo Han Lin Gan Tianyou Zhai 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:1

13Sessile droplet freezing and ice adhesion on aluminum with different surface wettability and surface temperature显示文摘This paper focused on the sessile droplet freezing and ice adhesion on aluminum with different wettability(hydrophilic, common hydrophobic, and superhydrophobic surfaces, coded as HIS, CHS, SHS, respectively) over a surface temperature range of ?9°C to ?19°C. It was found that SHS could retard the sessile droplet freezing and lower the ice adhesion probably due to the interfacial air pockets(IAPs) on water/SHS interface. However, as surface temperature decreasing, some IAPs were squeezed out and such freezing retarding and adhesion lowering effect for SHS was reduced greatly. For a surface temperature of ?19°C, ice adhesion on SHS was even greater than that on CHS. To discover the reason for the squeezing out of IAPs, forces applied to the suspended water on IAPs were analyzed and it was found that the stability of IAPs was associated with surface micro-structures and surface temperature. 17Improvement of low temperature activity and stability of Ni catalysts with addition of Pt for hydrogen production via steam reforming of ethylene glycol显示文摘Hydrogen production by steam reforming of ethylene glycol(EG) at 300℃ was investigated over SiO2 and CeO2 supported Pt–Ni bimetallic catalysts prepared by incipient wetness impregnation methods. It was observed that impregnation sequence of Pt and Ni can affect the performance of catalysts apparently. Catalyst with Pt first and then Ni addition showed higher EG conversion and H2 yield owing to the Ni enrichment on the surface and the proper interaction between Pt and Ni. It was observed that although SiO2 supported catalysts exhibited better activity and H2 selectivity, CeO2 supported ones had better stability. This is attributed to the less coke formation on CeO2. Increasing Pt/Ni ratio enhanced the reaction activity, and Pt3–Ni7 catalysts with 3 wt% Pt and 7 wt% Ni showed the highest activity and stability. Ni surficial enrichment facilitated the C-C bond rupture and water gas shift reactions;and Pt addition inhibited methanation reaction. Electron transfer and hydrogen spillover from Pt to Ni suppressed carbon deposition. 18A fast and adaptive method for complex-valued SAR image denoising based on l_k norm regularization显示文摘This paper developed a fast and adaptive method for SAR complex image denoising based on lk norm regularization, as viewed from parameters estimation. We firstly establish the relationship between denoising model and ill-posed inverse problem via convex half-quadratic regularization, and compare the difference between the estimator variance obtained from the iterative formula and biased Cramer-Rao bound, which proves the theoretic flaw of the existent methods of parameter selection. Then, the analytic expression of the model solution as the function with respect to the regularization parameter is obtained. On this basis, we study the method for selecting the regularization parameter through minimizing mean-square error of estimators and obtain the final analytic expression, which resulted in the direct calculation, high processing speed, and adaptability. Finally, the effect of regularization parameter selection on the resolution of point targets is analyzed. 19Effects of Boscalid on the Antioxidant Enzyme System of Adult Zebrafish (Danio rerio)显示文摘[Objective] This study was conducted to evaluate the ecotoxicity of boscalid to adult zebrafish(Danio rerio). [Method]The activities of antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT), peroxidase(POD), glutathione peroxidase(GPx), as well as a non-enzymatic antioxidant malondialdehyde(MDA), in the liver were measured 3, 7, 14 and 21 d post exposure(dpe) to 0.02(1/100 of acute toxicity), 0.036(monitored concentration), 0.08(1/20 of acute toxicity), 0.16(1/10 of acute toxicity) and 0.32 mg/L(1/5 of acute toxicity) boscalid using a semi-static method. [Result] SOD, CAT, POD, GPx and MDA activity in the liver of zebrafish varied with boscalid concentration and exposure time. Boscalid significantly enhanced MDA content at 21 dpe. A significant upregulation of the activity of SOD, CAT, POD and GPx at 7 dpe was observed, suggesting that boscalid resulted in oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation.
