1Improvement of oxytetracycline production mediated via cooperation of resistance genes in Streptomyces rimosus显示文摘Increasing the self-resistance levels of Streptomyces is an effective strategy to improve the production of antibiotics.To increase the oxytetracycline(OTC) production in Streptomyces rimosus,we investigated the cooperative effect of three co-overexpressing OTC resistance genes:one gene encodes a ribosomal protection protein(otrA) and the other two express efflux proteins(otrB and otrC).Results indicated that combinational overexpression of otrA,otrB,and otrC(MKABC) exerted a synergetic effect.OTC production increased by 179%in the recombinant strain compared with that of the wild-type strain M4018.The resistance level to OTC was increased by approximately two-fold relative to the parental strain,thereby indicating that applying the cooperative effect of self-resistance genes is useful to improve OTC production.Furthermore,the previously identified cluster-situated activator OtcR was overexpressed in MKABC in constructing the recombinant strain MKRABC;such strain can produce OTC of approximately7.49 g L^((-1)),which represents an increase of 19%in comparison with that of the OtcR-overexpressing strain alone.Our work showed that the cooperative overexpression of self-resistance genes is a promising strategy to enhance the antibiotics production in Streptomyces.Shouliang Yin Xuefeng Wang Mingxin Shi Fang Yuan Huizhuan Wang Xiaole Jia Fang Yuan Jinliang Sun Tiejun Liu Keqian Yang Yuxiu Zhang Keqiang Fan Zilong Li 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,9:10
2Science and Prediction of Heavy Rainfall over China:Research Progress since the Reform and Opening-Up of New China显示文摘This paper reviews the major progress on development of the science and prediction of heavy rainfall over China since the beginning of the reform and opening-up of new China(roughly between 1980 and 2019).The progress of research on the physical mechanisms of heavy rainfall over China is summarized from three perspectives:1)the relevant synoptic weather systems,2)heavy rainfall in major sub-regions of China,and 3)heavy rainfall induced by typhoons.The development and application of forecasting techniques for heavy rainfall are summarized in terms of numerical weather prediction techniques and objective forecasting methods.Greatly aided by the rapid progress in meteorological observing technology and substantial improvement in electronic computing,studies of heavy rainfall in China have advanced to investigating the evolution of heavy-rain-producing storms and observational analysis of the cloud microphysical features.A deeper and more systematic understanding of the synoptic systems of importance to the production of heavy rainfall has also been developed.Operational forecast of heavy rainfall in China has changed from subjective weather event forecasts to a combination of both subjective and objective quantitative precipitation forecasts,and is now advancing toward probabilistic quantitative precipitation forecasts with the provision of forecast uncertainty information.Yali LUO Jisong SUN Ying LI Rudi XIA Yu DU Shuai YANG Yuanchun ZHANG Jing CHEN Kan DAI Xueshun SHEN Haoming CHEN Feifan ZHOU Yimin LIU Shenming FU Mengwen WU Tiangui XIAO Yangruixue CHEN Huiqi LI Mingxin LI 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,3:10
3Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 Clade 2.3.2.1c virus in migratory birds,2014–2015显示文摘A novel Clade 2.3.2.1c H5N1 reassortant virus caused several outbreaks in wild birds in some regions of China from late 2014 to 2015.Based on the genetic and phylogenetic analyses,the viruses possess a stable gene constellation with a Clade 2.3.2.1c HA,a H9N2-derived PB2 gene and the other six genes of Asian H5N1-origin.The Clade 2.3.2.1c H5N1 reassortants displayed a high genetic relationship to a human H5N1 strain(A/Alberta/01/2014).Further analysis showed that similar viruses have been circulating in wild birds in China,Russia,Dubai(Western Asia),Bulgaria and Romania(Europe),as well as domestic poultry in some regions of Africa.The affected areas include the Central Asian,East Asian-Australasian,West Asian-East African,and Black Sea/Mediterranean flyways.These results show that the novel Clade 2.3.2.1c reassortant viruses are circulating worldwide and may have gained a selective advantage in migratory birds,thus posing a serious threat to wild birds and potentially humans.Yuhai Bi Jianjun Chen Zhenjie Zhang Mingxin Li Tianlong Cai Kirill Sharshov Ivan Susloparov Alexander Shestopalov Gary Wong Yubang He Zhi Xing Jianqing Sun Di Liu Yingxia Liu Lei Liu Wenjun Liu Fumin Lei Weifeng Shi George F. 4On the Diurnal Cycle of Heavy Rainfall over the Sichuan Basin during 10–18 August 2020显示文摘A sustained heavy rainfall event occurred over the Sichuan basin in southwest China during 10–18 August 2020,showing pronounced diurnal rainfall variations with nighttime peak and afternoon minimum values,except on the first day.Results show that the westward extension of the anomalously strong western Pacific subtropical high was conducive to the maintenance of a southerly low-level jet(LLJ)in and to the southeast of the basin,which favored continuous water vapor transport and abnormally high precipitable water in the basin.The diurnal cycle of rainfall over the basin was closely related to the periodic oscillation of the LLJ in both wind speed and direction that was caused by the combination of inertial oscillation and terrain thermal forcing.The nocturnally enhanced rainfall was produced by moist convection mostly initiated during the evening hours over the southwest part of the basin where high convective available potential energy with moister near-surface moist air was present.The convective initiation took place as cold air from either previous precipitating clouds from the western Sichuan Plateau or a larger-scale northerly flow met a warm and humid current from the south.It was the slantwise lifting of the warm,moist airflow above the cold air,often facilitated by southwest vortices and quasi-geostrophic ascent,that released the convective instability and produced heavy rainfall.Rudi XIA Yali LUO Da-Lin ZHANG Mingxin LI Xinghua BAO Jisong SUN 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,12:2
5Synthesis of a Novel Co-B/CTAB Catalyst via Solid-state-reaction at Room Temperature for Hydrolysis of Ammonia-borane显示文摘Cobalt-boride(Co-B)is emerging as one of the promising materials in the base-hydrolytic dehydrogena-tion of ammonia-borane(AB).In order to avoid the low specific area and poor catalytic capacity of Co-B catalyst caused by aggregation arising from the strong reducing property and rapid reaction condensation of sodium borohy-dride(NaBHa),novel cobalt boride/cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(Co-B/CTAB)catalyst was obtained via solid-state grinding at room temperature,and the catalyst was further characterized by XRD,SEM,XPS and BET.The hydrogen generation rate(HGR)was then determined by the hydrolysis reaction of AB.The SEM images indicate that a lot of irregular folds and curled edges are formed on the sample with a maximum surface area of 145.57 m2/g,thus possibly resulting in the high hydrogen production(HGR was 10.68 L.minlg),which may be attributed to CTAB that provide favorable large specific surface area and abundant porous structure.Additionally,catalyst will not be affected by solvants during solid-state reaction.As a diluent,the surfactant CTAB hindered the reaction rate of sodium borohydride reduction to cobalt boride and obtained the novel catalyst with a large specific surface area.HU Haibin LONG Bo JIANG Yifan SUN Shichang Ibrahim LAWAN ZHOU Weiming- ZHANG Mingxin WANG Liwei ZHANG Fan YUAN Zhanhui 2020Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,6:2

14CeO_(2)C_(2)Nanoparticles with Oxygen-Enriched Vacancies In-site Self-embedded in Fe,N Co-doped Carbon Nanofibers as Efficient Oxygen Reduction Catalyst for Zn-Air Battery显示文摘Rational design of robust non-noble electrocatalysts with numerous oxygen vacancies and highly reactive activity for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)towards Zn-air batteries is extremely paramount yet challenging.Herein,a novel CeO_(2)C_(2)nanoparticles self-embedded in Fe,N co-doped carbon nanofibers(CeO_(2)C_(2)@Fe-N-C)heterostructure catalyst has been prepared by the in-site dual template assisted electrospinning technique and subsequent high temperature pyrolysis strategy.Thanks to the CeO_(2)C_(2)with oxygen-enriched vacancies and versatile Fe-N-C with rich reactive species and high conductivity,CeO_(2)C_(2)@Fe-N-C catalyst exhibits outstanding catalytic performance in the ORR process,and shows excellent methanol tolerance and cycle stability.In addition,CeO_(2)C_(2)@Fe-N-C delivers a nearly four-electron transfer process in the process of oxygen reduction catalysis,providing a fast-electrochemical kinetic rate,which makes it an efficient air cathode for the Zn-air battery.Importantly,the Zn-air battery fabricated with CeO_(2)C_(2)@Fe-N-C cathode achieves superior performance including large open-circuit voltage(1.5 V)and high specific capacity(780 mAh·g–1 at 10 mA·cm–2)together with superior reversibility and cycling stability,outperforming commercial Pt/C catalyst.The present work introduces a new strategy to design and develop highly active non-noble catalysts and highlights the synergy from heterostructure in oxygen electrocatalysis for advanced Zn-air batteries.Mingxin Zhang Hui Peng Kanjun Sun Xuan Xie Xiaofei Lei Sitong Liu Guofu Ma Ziqiang Lei 2022Chinese Journal of Chemistry2022,40,23:1

17Variations in the natural 13C and 15N abundance of plants and soils under long-term N addition and precipitation reduction:interpretation of C and N dynamics显示文摘Background:The nitrogen isotope natural abundance(δ^(15)N)provides integrated information on ecosystem N dynamics,and carbon isotope natural abundance(δ^(13)C)has been used to infer how water-using processes of plants change in terrestrial ecosystems.However,howδ^(13)C andδ^(15)N abundances in plant life and soils respond to N addition and water availability change is still unclear.Thus,δ^(13)C andδ^(15)N abundances in plant life and soils were used to investigate the effects of long-time(10 years)N addition(+50 kg N·ha^(−1)·yr^(−1)and precipitation reduction(−30%of throughfall)in forest C and N cycling traits in a temperate forest in northern China.Results:We analyzed theδ^(13)C andδ^(15)N values of dominant plant foliage,litterfall,fungal sporophores,roots,and soils in the study.The results showed thatδ^(15)N values of foliage,litterfall,and surface soil layer’s(0–10 cm)total N were significantly increased by N addition,whileδ^(15)N values of fine roots and coarse roots were considerably decreased.Nitrogen addition also significantly increased theδ^(13)C value of fine roots and total N concentration of the surface soil layer compared with the control.The C concentration,δ^(13)C,andδ^(15)N values of foliage andδ^(15)N values of fine roots were significantly increased by precipitation reduction,while N concentration of foliage and litterfall significantly decreased.The combined effects of N addition and precipitation reduction significantly increased theδ^(13)C andδ^(15)N values of foliage as well as theδ^(15)N values of fine roots andδ^(13)C values of litterfall.Furthermore,foliarδ^(15)N values were significantly correlated with foliageδ^(13)C values,surface soilδ^(15)N values,surface soil C concentration,and N concentrations.Nitrogen concentrations andδ^(13)C values of foliage were significantly correlated withδ^(15)N values and N concentrations of fine roots.Conclusions:This indicates that plants increasingly take up the heavier 15N under N addition and the heavier 13C and 15N under precipitation reduction,suggesting that N addition and precipitation reduction may lead to more open forest ecosystem C and N cycling and affect plant nutrient acquisition strategies.Guoyong Yan Shijie Han Mingxin Zhou Wenjing Sun Binbin Huang Honglin Wang Yajuan Xing Qinggui Wang 2020Forest Ecosystems2020,7,4:0
18Utilizing the capacity below 0 V to maximize lithium storage of hard carbon anodes显示文摘Compared with conventional graphite anode,hard carbons have the potential to make reversible lithium storage below 0 V accessible due to the formation of dendrites is slow.However,under certain conditions of high currents and lithiation depths,the irreversible plated lithium occurs and then results in the capacity losses.Herein,we systematically explore the true reversibility of hard carbon anodes below 0 V.We identify the lithiation boundary parameters that control the reversible capacity of hard carbon anodes.When the boundary capacity is controlled below 400 mAh g−1 with current density below 50 mA g−1,no lithium dendrites are observed during the lithiation process.Compared with the discharge cut-off voltage to 0 V,this boundary provides a nearly twice reversible capacity with the capacity retention of 80%after 172 cycles.The results of characterization and finite element model reveal that the large reversible capacity below 0 V of hard carbon anodes is mainly benefited from the dual effect of lithium intercalation and reversible lithium film.After the lithium intercalation,the over-lithiation induces the quick growth of lithium dendrites,worsening the electrochemical irreversibility.This work enables insights of the potentially low-voltage performance of hard carbons in lithium-ion batteries.Qianlei Liu Liqin Dai Lijing Xie Zonglin Yi Mingxin Song Yafeng Fan Guohua Sun Fangyuan Su Cheng-Meng Chen 2023Particuology2023,,12:0
