2Mycorrhizal symbiosis modulates the rhizosphere microbiota to promote rhizobia–legume symbiosis显示文摘Plants establish symbioses with mutualistic fungi,such as arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi,and bacteria,such as rhizobia,to exchange key nutrients and thrive.Plants and symbionts have coevolved and represent vital components of terrestrial ecosystems.Plants employ an ancestral AM signaling pathway to establish intracellular symbioses,including the legume–rhizobia symbiosis,in their roots.Nevertheless,the relationship between the AM and rhizobial symbioses in native soil is poorly understood.Here,we examined how these distinct symbioses affect root-associated bacterial communities in Medicago truncatula by performing quantitative microbiota profiling(QMP)of 16S rRNA genes.We found that M.truncatula mutants that cannot establish AM or rhizobia symbiosis have an altered microbial load(quantitative abundance)in the rhizosphere and roots,and in particular that AM symbiosis is required to assemble a normal quantitative root-associated microbiota in native soil.Moreover,quantitative microbial co-abundance network analyses revealed that AM symbiosis affects Rhizobiales hubs among plant microbiota and benefits the plant holobiont.Through QMP of rhizobial rpoB and AM fungal SSU rRNA genes,we revealed a new layer of interaction whereby AM symbiosis promotes rhizobia accumulation in the rhizosphere of M.truncatula.We further showed that AM symbiosis-conditioned microbial communities within the M.truncatula rhizosphere could promote nodulation in different legume plants in native soil.Given that the AM and rhizobial symbioses are critical for crop growth,our findings might inform strategies to improve agricultural management.Moreover,our work sheds light on the co-evolution of these intracellular symbioses during plant adaptation to native soil conditions.Xiaolin Wang Huan Feng Yayu Wang Mingxing Wang Xingguang Xie Huizhong Chang Like Wang Jicheng Qu Kai Sun Wei He Chunyan Wang Chuanchao Dai Zhaohui Chu Changfu Tian Nan Yu Xuebin Zhang Huan Liu Ertao Wang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,3:6
3A phase 3,double-blind,randomized placebo-controlled efficacy and safety study of abiraterone acetate in chemotherapynaı¨ve patients with mCRPC in China,Malaysia,Thailand and Russia显示文摘Objective:This double-blind,placebo-controlled phase 3 study was designed to compare efficacy and safety of abiraterone acetate+prednisone(abiraterone)to prednisone alone in chemotherapy-naı¨ve,asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic metastatic castrationresistant prostate cancer(mCRPC)patients from China,Malaysia,Thailand and Russia.Methods:Adult chemotherapy-naı¨ve patients with confirmed prostate adenocarcinoma,Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)performance status(PS)grade 0e1,ongoing androgen deprivation(serum testosterone<50 ng/dL)with prostate specific antigen(PSA)or radiographic progression were randomized to receive abiraterone acetate(1000 mg,QD)t prednisone(5 mg,BID)or placebo t prednisone(5 mg,BID),until disease progression,unacceptable toxicity or consent withdrawal.Primary endpoint was improvements in time to PSA progression(TTPP).Results:Totally,313 patients were randomized(abiraterone:n Z 157;prednisone:n Z 156);and baseline characteristics were balanced.At clinical cut-off(median follow-up time:3.9 months),80% patients received treatment(abiraterone:n Z 138,prednisone:n Z 112).Median time to PSA progression was not reached with abiraterone versus 3.8 months for prednisone,attaining 58%reduction in PSA progression risk(HR=0.418;p<0.0001).Abirateronetreated patients had higher confirmed PSA response rate(50%vs.21%;relative odds=2.4;p<0.0001)and were 5 times more likely to achieve radiographic response than prednisonetreated patients(22.9%vs.4.8%,p=0.0369).Median survival was not reached.Most common(≥10% abiraterone vs.prednisone-treated)adverse events:bone pain(7%vs.14%),pain in extremity(6%vs.12%),arthralgia(10%vs.8%),back pain(7%vs.11%),and hypertension(15%vs.14%).Conclusion:Interim analysis confirmed favorable benefit-to-risk ratio of abiraterone in chemotherapy-naı¨ve men with mCRPC,consistent with global study,thus supporting use of abiraterone in this patient population.Dingwei Ye Yiran Huang Fangjian Zhou Keji Xie Vsevolod Matveev Changling Li Boris Alexeev Ye Tian Mingxing Qiu Hanzhong Li Tie Zhou Peter De Porre Margaret Yu Vahid Naini Hongchuan Liang Zhuli Wu Yinghao Sun 2017Asian Journal of Urology2017,4,2:3

9Influence of titanium content on wear resistance of electrolytic low-titanium eutectic Al-Si piston alloys显示文摘The wear resistance of six kinds of the electrolytic low-titanium eutectic Al-Si piston alloys with various Ti content ranging from 0.00wt.% to 0.21wt.% has been studied. A new method of adding Ti is adopted in the electrolytic low-titanium aluminum alloy ingots. The electrolytic low-titanium eutectic Al-Si piston alloys are produced by remelting the electrolytic low-titanium aluminum alloy, crystal silicon, pure magnesium, Al-50%Cu and Al-10%Mn master alloy. The wear experiments are conducted using MM200 wear testing machine under lubricating condition. The results indicate that the better wear resistance and the less weight loss are achieved in the study for the eutectic Al-Si piston alloys with 0.08wt.%–0.12wt.% Ti content. The highest ultimate tensile strength of 135.94 MPa at 300℃ and HV141.70 hardness of the alloys are obtained at 0.12wt.% and 0.08wt.% Ti content, respectively. 10Effects of lipid shell microbubble on ultrasound mediated EGFP gene delivery to transplanted tumors:initial experience显示文摘Objective: To investigate the feasibility of ultrasound (US) mediated enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) gene delivery in subcutaneous transplanted tumors of human cervical carcinoma (Hela) and the contribution of lipid shell microbubble (LSMB) on gene transfection. Methods: LSMB and plasmid were injected into nude mice by tail vein followed local US irradiation (P + LSMB + US group). US exposure parameter was set at 2.0 W/cm2, 2 min, duty cycle 20%. EGFP expression was evaluated by imaging for 7 days. Nude mice undergoing plasmid injection alone (P group), plasmid injection and US exposure (P + US group), plasmid and LSMB injection (P + LSMB group) were used as controls. Frozen section and histological examinations were conducted. Expression of EGFP was scored. Kinetics of protein expression post transfection and localization in vivo were evaluated. Results: Plasmid injection with LSMB plus US exposure strongly increased gene transfer efficiency. Strong EGFP expression was mainly seen in LSMB + P + US group. It was significantly higher than any of the following groups, P group, US + P group, or LSMB + P group (P < 0.01). In vivo expression level of post-US 3 days was significantly higher than any other time points (P < 0.01). There was not significant expression level of EGFP in other organs or tissues regardless of US exposure. No tissue damage was seen histologically. Conclusion: The combination of LSMB and US exposure could effectively transfer plasmid DNA to transplanted tumors without causing any apparently adverse effect. LSMB could be effective as a non-viral vector system in in vivo gene delivery. 16A Dynamic ID-Based Authenticated Group Key Exchange Protocol without Pairings显示文摘So far, most of the proposed group key exchange (GKE) protocols do not consider the attack when the adversary reveals the parties’ephemeral private keys without their long-term private keys, so these GKE protocols are insecure on this attack. In this paper, for resisting above attack, we propose a dynamic authenticated group key exchange (AGKE) protocol in the ID-based setting. Different from previous ID-based protocols, our protocol does not utilize bilinear pairings, which makes it more efficient. 17The in-situ Ti alloying of aluminum alloys and its application in A356 alloys显示文摘This research has investigated the in-situ Ti alloying of aluminum alloys and its application to A356 alloys and wheels through the evaluation of microstructure and mechanical properties. The results showed that stable titanium content can be obtained by adding a small quantity of TiO2 into electrolyte of pure aluminum. Under this approach, a greater than 95% absorptivity of titanium was achieved, and the microstructure of the specimens was changed to fine equiaxed grains from coarse columnar grains in the pure aluminum. In comparison with the tradition A356 alloys and wheels, the corresponding microstructure in the testing A356 alloys and wheels was finer. 19The value of ultrasound elastography in differential diagnosisof superficial lymph nodes显示文摘The study evaluated the value of ultrasound elastography in differentiating the benign and malignant superficial lymph nodes.A total of 112 subjects,including 82 patients with enlarged lymph nodes and 30 healthy volunteers,were recruited.All the subjects were examined by B-mode ultrasonography,power Doppler ultrasonogra-phy and elastography.Most of the patients were histo-pathologically confirmed by needle aspiration cytology and some patients were diagnosed by clinical data combined with follow-upfindings.The sensitivity,speci-ficity and accuracy of B-mode ultrasonography were 59.8%,76.5%and 67.1%,those of the bloodflow classification by power Doppler ultrasonography 77.0%,82.3%and 79.4%and those of elastographic classification 74.7%,97.1%and 84.5%,respectively.The elasticity of the lymph nodes was quantitatively measured and defined as stiffness value.When the stiffness value of 2.395 was taken as the cutoff point,the sensitivity and specificity of elastography were 78.41%and 98.51%,and the Youden index reached the highest,with the value being 0.7692.The stiffness values of two indeterminate benign lymph nodes,the elastrographicfindings of which were rated as patterns 2 and 3,were below the cutoff point.The elastographicfindings of 10 malignant lymph nodes were also classified as pattern 2 or 3.Only one of them had the stiffness values below the cutoff point.It was concluded that ultrasound elastography is a novel,noninvasive and convenient tool for the differentiation of the nature of the superficial lymph nodes in clinical practice.Yanrong ZHANG Qing LV Yehua YIN Mingxing XIE Feixiang XIANG Chengfa LU Tianwei YAN Wei LI Hui XU Yan HUANG 2009Frontiers of Medicine2009,3,3:0
20Phosphorylation of MtRopGEF2 by LYK3 mediates MtROP activity to regulate rhizobial infection in Medicago truncatula显示文摘The formation of nitrogen-fixing no dules on legume roots requires the coordination of infection by rhizobia at the root epidermis with the initiation of cell divisions in the root cortex.During infection,rhizobia attach to the tip of elongating root hairs which then curl to entrap the rhizobia.However,the mechanism of root hair deformation and curling in response to symbiotic signals is still elusive.Here,we found that small GTPases(MtRac1/MtROP9 and its homologs)are required for root hair development and rhizobial infection in Medicago truncatula.Our results show that the Nod factor receptor LYK3 phosphorylates the guanine nucleotide exchange factor MtRopGEF2 at S73 which is critical for the polar growth of root hairs.In turn,phosphorylated MtRopGEF2 can activate MtRac1.Activated MtRac1 was found to localize at the tips of root hairs and to strongly interact with LYK3 and NFP.Taken together,our results support the hypothesis that MtRac1,LYK3,and NFP form a polarly localized receptor complex that regulates root hair deformation during rhizobial infection.Mingxing Wang Huan Feng Peng Xu Qiujin Xie Jinpeng Gao Yanzhang Wang Xiaowei Zhang Jun Yang Jeremy DMurray Fengli Sun Chunyan Wang Ertao Wang Nan Yu 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,10:0
