| 1 | Photocatalytic degradation kinetics and mechanism of pentachlorophenol based on superoxide radicals显示文摘The micron grade multi-metal oxide bismuth silicate (Bi 12 SiO 20,BSO) was prepared by the chemical solution decomposition technique.Photocatalytic degradation of pentachlorophenol (PCP) was investigated in the presence of BSO under xenon lamp irradiation.The reaction kinetics followed pseudo first-order and the degradation ratio achieved 99.1% after 120 min at an initial PCP concentration of 2.0 mg/L.The pH decreased from 6.2 to 4.6 and the dechlorination ratio was 68.4% after 120 min at an initial PCP concentration of 8.0 mg/L.The results of electron spin resonance showed that superoxide radical (O 2 · ) was largely responsible for the photocatalytic degradation of PCP.Interestingly,this result was different from that of previous photocatalytic reactions where valence band holes or hydroxyl radicals played the role of major oxidants.Some aromatic compounds and aliphatic carboxylic acids were determined by GC/MS as the reaction intermediates,which indicated that O 2 · can attack the bond between the carbon and chlorine atoms to form less chlorinated aromatic compounds.The aromatic compounds were further oxidized by O 2 · to generate aliphatic carboxylic acids which can be finally mineralized to CO 2 and H 2 O. | Yang Li Junfeng Niu Lifeng Yin Wenlong Wang Yueping Bao Jing Chen Yanpei Duan | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11: | 9 |
| 2 | CO2 and SO2 emission characteristics of the whole process industry chain of coal processing and utilization in China显示文摘The total coal consumption in China is on the rise.The characteristics of CO2 and SO2 emissions in the whole process of coal processing and utilization in China are worthy of study.Based on the five links of the whole process of coal production and utilization,including coal production,raw coal processing,logistics and transportation,conversion and utilization and resource utilization,this paper summarized and analyzed the energy consumption and pollutant emission sources of these five links,combined with the US Environmental Protection Agency’s AP-42 method and IPCC method,to calculate total pollutant discharge and emission factors,where the emission factors were corrected by conversion efficiency.At the same time,uncertainty analysis is performed about CO2 and SO2 emissions.The results showed that CO2 emissions were 3.657 billion tons,and emission reductions were 61 million tons,and SO2 emissions were 4,844,500 tons,and emission reductions were 10.3595 million tons in 2015. | Tao Zhu Ruonan Wang Nengjing Yi Wenfeng Niu Lifeng Wang Zeyu Xue | 2020 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2020,7,1: | 8 |
| 3 | The electron structure and photocatalytic activity of Ti(IV) doped Bi_2O_3显示文摘Density functional theory (DFT) plays a significant role in the development of visible light responsive photocatalysts.Based on the first-principles plane-wave ultrasoft pseudopotential (USPP) method,the crystal structures of α,β,γ,and δ-Bi2O3 were optimally calculated for the total density of states (TDOS) and the partial density of states (PDOS) of Bi,O atoms.The calculation for Ti(IV) doped Bi2O3 supercell was carried out.The effects of Ti(IV)-doping on the electron structures and light absorption properties of various Bi2O3 were analyzed.The results showed that Ti 3d orbital appeared in the forbidden band of Bi2O3 and hybridized with O 2p,Bi 6p orbitals.The narrowed band gap (Eg) and red-shift of light absorption edge are responsible for the enhanced photocatalytic activity of Bi2O3.The β-Bi2O3 and Ti-doped β-Bi2O3 were prepared by a hydrothermal synthesis method.The improvement of the photocatalytic activity of Bi2O3 has also been verified by the characteristics of the UV-vis diffuse reflection spectrum and the experimental evaluation of the photocatalytic degradation of crystal violet in aqueous solution. | YIN LiFeng NIU JunFeng SHEN ZhenYao SUN Ying | 2011 | Science China Chemistry2011,54,1: | 7 |
| 4 | Ultrasound speed and attenuation in progressive trypsin digested articular cartilage显示文摘Subtle changes of articular cartilage(AC) can lead to tissue degeneration and even osteoarthritis(OA).The early degeneration of AC is closely related to a change in proteoglycans(PG) content.The observation of PG is therefore an appropriate way of studying OA and evaluating the degree of AC degeneration.In this study,20 cartilage-bone samples were prepared from normal porcine femoral condyle cartilage and 10 samples were digested over 2 h using 0.25% trypsin solution.The dynamic process of PG-digestion was explored using a conventional A-mode ultrasound(US) experimental system with a 10 MHz center frequency.Quantitative acoustic parameters were calculated from ultrasonic radio-frequency echo signals and included US speed(USS),US amplitude attenuation coefficient(UAA) and broadband US attenuation coefficient(BUA).The experimental results showed that the conventional A-mode ultrasound is valuable for tracking the degree of PG-digestion.Histology also confirmed the validity of the ultrasound observations.For every AC sample,the degree of PG-digestion within a given time was different and was affected by individual differences.After two hours of degeneration,USS showed a mean decrease of 0.4%(P<0.05).UAA was significantly lower after a two-hour PG depletion period(from(2.45±0.23) to(2.28±0.41) dB mm?1).BUA showed no significant differences during this process.In conclusion,conventional ultrasound can provide useful information about trypsin-induced progressive PG depletion in AC and can reflect variations of PG content via the quantitative acoustic parameters USS and UAA.The results of this study may be used to identify an indirect indicator of cartilage matrix integrity and OA disease progression. | NIU HaiJun LI LiFeng SUN Feng YAN Yan WANG YueXiang LI DeYu FAN YuBo | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,11: | 3 |

| 10 | Iron and inorganic carbon in Liaodong Gulf sediments of Bohai Sea in China显示文摘Iron in seawater is an essential trace metal for phytoplankton that plays an important role in the marine carbon cycle. But most studies focused on oceanic iron fertilization in high nutrient low chlorophyll (HNLC) seawaters. A study of inorganic carbon (IC) forms and its influencing factors was presented in Liaodong Gulf sediments, and especially the influence of iron was discussed in detail. Inorganic carbon in Liaodong Gulf sediments was divided into five forms: NaCl, NH_ 3·H_ 2O, NaOH, NH_ 2OH·HCl and HCl. The concentration of NaCl and NaOH forms were similar and they only occupied the minority of total inorganic carbon (TIC). However, NH_ 3·H_ 2O, NH_ 2OH·HCl and HCl forms were the principal forms of TIC and accounted for more than 80% of TIC. Especially, the percentage of NH_ 3·H_ 2O form was much higher than that in the Changjiang River Estuary and Jiaozhou Bay sediments. All forms of inorganic carbon were influenced by organic carbon,pore water, iron, pH, redox potential(Eh) and sulfur potential(Es) in sediments, moreover, the influences had different characteristics for different IC forms. However, the redox reactions of iron affected mainly active IC forms. Iron had little effect on NH_ 2OH·HCl and HCl forms of IC which were influenced mainly by pH. | 12 | Analysis on Ground Temperature Changes and Thermal Effects of Duct-Ventilated Embankment of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway显示文摘Cooling principle is adopted in roadbed constructions in permafrost regions on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau for protecting the underlying permafrost. One way is to use duct-ventilated emban kment. Based on ground temperature data collected along experimental emban kments in Beiluhe section of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, engineering effects of duct-ventilation for protection of the permafrost beneath the emban kment were studied. Analyses of ground temperature changes and heat inlux indicate that ventilation ducts effectively cool the soils surrounding the ducts in the emban kment and that yearly heat collection of the ambient soils appears as heat release. Permafrost behaviour beneath conventional emban kment and test emban kments with ducts installed at a high and low positions were studied to determine temperature-changing tendency during three years. Where the permafrost under the conventional emban kment and the duct high-positioned emban kment decreasingly absorbs heat during the period. The ground temperature of the permafrost under the conventional emban kment rises and that under the high-positioned emban kment decreases slightly. The temperature of the permafrost under the duct low-positioned emban kment decreased remarkable due to release of heat. These findings demonstrate that ventilated emban kments with low-positioned ducts produce beneficial temperature-controlling effects that actively cool the roadbed soils and keep the roadbed thermally stable. | 16 | Photocatalytic degradation of fipronil in water by silver-modified lithium vanadium phosphate spheres under visible light irradiation显示文摘A novel visible light-driven photocatalyst, lithium vanadium phosphate sphere(LVPS), was prepared by a ball-milling method. For enhancing the photocatalytic performance, LVPS was further modified with silver(ALVPS) by a UV-light photo- reduction method. After modification, the crystalline phase of LVPS did not change, however, the UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectrum of ALVPS was extended to 656 nm, which greatly improved its photoabsorptivity for visible light and enhanced its electron donating capacity. Under the irradiation of sunlight or visible light(>400 nm), ALVPS can rapidly remove fipronil(a persistent organic pollutant, 5 mg L?1) from aqueous solution. More than 99.7% of fipronil was removed by ALVPS after 0.5 h of irradiation, yielding a much higher removal rate than those achieved by nano-Ti O2 and Bi2O3. Photo-generated carrier trapping experiments were conducted to elucidate the photocatalytic degradation mechanism further. | 20 | Defining stratigraphic oil and gas plays by modifying structural plays:A case study from the Xihu Sag,east China Sea Shelf Basin显示文摘The study focuses on an area of relatively mature oil and gas exploration located in the western slope of the Xihu Sag,East China Sea Shelf Basin.Three stratigraphic oil and gas plays are introduced to replenish the shrinking prospect inventory in the area.The reservoirs of these plays are traditional pay intervals of the Eocene Pinghu Formation and Baoshi Formation composed of tide-dominated delta front,tidal flat and delta front sand bar facies.By investigating conventional seismic data,seismic inversion volumes,and well log data,multiple tidal-influenced delta front channels,beach sand packages have been mapped out in different reservoir sand intervals of the Pinghu Formation and Baoshi Formation.We recognize four types of stratigraphic terminations:channel flank pinch-outs,axial pinch-outs of sand-fills,channel mouth sand bar pinch-outs,and onlap pinch-outs for the Baoshi Formation.Both the depositional facies and relatively low sand-shale ratio of the reservoir formations favor the occurrence of stratigraphic terminations.The closure mechanism of all these plays are similar to the traditional structure plays in the area:fault blocks or fault-bounded rollover anticlines,except that one or more closing faults are replaced by these stratigraphic terminations.Several small-sized closures should exist but the relatively large ones are centered around a major intra-slope rise,raising the exploration potential in this maturely explored area.The new exploration drilling campaign has so far tested the play of delta front channel facies,with three out of four wells commercially successful.These play concepts open up a novel approach to identify new traps in the study area and many other rift basins with similar settings in eastern China. | Feng Ding Chunyu Xie Xinghai Zhou Cen Jiang Kun Li Lifeng Wan Pei Zhang Huawei Niu | 2021 | Energy Geoscience2021,2,1: | 0 |
