| 1 | Seismic damage zone and width-throw scaling along the strike-slip faults in the Ordovician carbonates in the Tarim Basin显示文摘Understanding the scaling relation of damage zone width with displacement of faults is important for predicting subsurface faulting mechanisms and fluid flow processes. The understanding of this scaling relationship is influenced by the accuracy of the methods and types of data utilized to investigate faults. In this study, seismic reflection data are used to investigate the throw and damage zone width of five strike-slip faults a ecting Ordovician carbonates of the Tarim intracraton basin,NW China. The results indicate that fault slips with a throw less than 200 m had formed wide damage zones up to 3000 m in width. Also, damage zone width is found to have both a positive correlation and a power-law relation with throw of two orders of magnitude, with a ratio of these values varying in a range of 2–15. The relationship between throw and damage zone width is not a simple power-law and changes its slope from small to larger size faults. The results indicate that throw scales well with damage zone width for the studied faults, and hence these can be used to predict fault geometries in the Tarim Basin. | 3 | MicroRNAs as emerging biomarkers and therapeutic targets for pancreatic cancer显示文摘Despite tremendous efforts from scientists and clinicians worldwide, pancreatic adenocarcinoma(PDAC) remains a deadly disease due to the lack of early diagnostic tools and reliable therapeutic approaches. Consequently, a majority of patients(80%) display an advanced disease that results in a low resection rate leading to an overall median survival of less than 6 months. Accordingly, robust markers for the early diagnosis and prognosis of pancreatic cancer, or markers indicative of survival and/or metastatic disease are des-perately needed to help alleviate the dismal prognosis of this cancer. In addition, the discovery of new therapeutic targets is mandatory to design effective treatments. | 4 | Components of complex interventions for healthcare: A narrative synthesis of qualitative studies显示文摘Objective:Qualitative research on therapeutic components is necessary to evaluate the efficacy of complex interventions in healthcare.As few qualitative syntheses have been conducted,this study aimed to derive a new conceptual framework for understanding the components of complex interventions and provide evidence for the implementation and evaluation of complex healthcare interventions.Methods:A systematic search of seven databases was conducted to identify qualitative studies that explored components of complex healthcare interventions.Meta-ethnography was used to analyze the data and thematic analysis was used to build the conceptual framework.Results:Of the 35 included studies,most complex interventions were non-pharmacological,with cancer accounting for 22%,mental health for 14%,and stroke for 8%.Half of the studies were conducted in the United Kingdom.Three main categories emerged:what should healthcare workers do?what qualifications should they have?and what should patients do?Five main themes were identified:psychological,biological,cognitive and behavioral,environmental,and social support.Conclusion:This analysis provides a reference for designing components of complex interventions in further studies. | Sisi Ma He Yu Ning Liang Sijia Zhu Xun Li Nicola Robinson Jianping Liu | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,2: | 2 |
