Hygroscopic growth of aerosol scattering coefficient:A comparative analysis between urban and suburban sites at winter in Beijing显示文摘A humidity controlled inlet system was developed to measure the hygroscopic growth of aerosol scattering coefficient in conjunction with nephelometry at an urban site of Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences (CAMS) in Beijing and a rural site at Shangdianzi Regional Background Air Pollution Monitoring Station (SDZ) outside Beijing during winter, from December 2005 to January 2006. Measurements were carried out at a wavelength of 525 nm with an Ecotech M9003 nephelometer. The hygroscopic growth function (or factor) of the aerosol scattering coefficient f(RH) increased continuously with increasing relative humidity (RH) and showed no obvious 'step-like' deliquescent behavior at both sites during the experiment. The average growth factor f(RH) at the SDZ site could reach 1.5 when RH increased from less than 40% to 92%, and to 2.1 at the CAMS site when RH increased from less than 40% to 93%. The average hygroscopic growth factor at a relative humidity of 80%, f(RH = 80 ± 1%), was found to be about 1.26 ± 0.15 at CAMS and 1.24 ± 0.11 at SDZ. Further analysis indicated that under relatively polluted conditions, the average hygroscopic growth factor was higher at the CAMS site than that at the SDZ site. However, under relatively clean air conditions, the difference between the two sites was small, showing a hygroscopic growth behavior similar to those of burning biomass or blowing dust. These results reflected the different characteristics of aerosol types at the two sites. | Peng Yan Xiaole Pan Jie Tang Xiuji Zhou Renjian Zhang Limin Zeng | 2009 | Particuology2009,7,1: | 30
Changes of protein oxidation, lipid oxidation and lipolysis in Chinese dry sausage with different sodium chloride curing salt content显示文摘The effect of sodium chloride(NaCl)curing salt content on protein oxidation, lipid oxidation and lipolysis of Chinese dry sausage was investigated. Two groups Chinese dry sausages with 2%and 4%(m/m)salt content were studied. The degree of protein oxidation increased during the processes in two groups sausages, while the content of phospholipids decreased, neutral lipids and free fatty acids increased. The degree of protein oxidation, lipid oxidation and lipolysis in 4%NaCl content group was higher than those in 2%NaCl content group, while 4%NaCl content group has higher lipase activity. In conclusion,4%NaCl may facilitate the protein oxidation, lipid hydrolysis and oxidation in Chinese dry sausage, and the protein oxidation had strong correlation with lipid oxidation and lipolysis. The results could provide a basis for improving the technology of industrial production. | Bing Zhao Huimin Zhou Shunliang Zhang Xiaoqian Pan Su Li Ning Zhu Qianrong Wu Shouwei Wang Xiaoling Qiao Wenhua Chen | 2020 | Food Science and Human Wellness2020,9,4: | 22
Combined use of phospholipid complexes and self-emulsifying microemulsions for improving the oral absorption of a BCS class IV compound, baicalin显示文摘The aim of this study was to develop a formulation to improve the oral absorption of baicalin(BA)by combining a phospholipid complex(PC)and self-emulsifying microemulsion drug delivery system(SMEDDS),termed BA–PC–SMEDDS.BA–PC was prepared by a solvent evaporation method and evaluated by complexation percentage(CP).The physicochemical properties of BA–PC were determined. The synergistic effect of PC and SMEDDS on permeation of BA was studied in vitro with Caco-2 cells and in situ with a single pass intestinal perfusion model. The improved bioavailability of BA in BA–PC–SMEDDS was confirmed in an in vivo rat model. The CP of BA–PC reached 100%when the molar ratio of drug to phospholipid(PP)was Z1:1.The solubility of BA–PC increased in both water and octanol, and the log P o/w of BA–PC was increased significantly.BA–PC–SMEDDS could be dispersed more evenly in water, compared to BA and BA–PC.Both the Caco-2 cell uptake and single-pass intestinal perfusion models illustrated that transport of BA in BA–PC was lower than that of free BA,while improved significantly in BA–PC–SMEDDS.The relative bioavailability of BA–PC(1:2)–SMEDDS was 220.37%.The combination system of PC and SMEDDS had a synergistic effect on improving the oral absorption of BA. | Huiyi Wu Xiaoying Long Fei Yuan Li Chen Sujing Pan Yunjun Liu Yoshiko Stowell Xiaoling Li | 2014 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2014,4,3: | 14
Endovascular therapy for Acute ischemic Stroke Trial (EAST): study protocol for a prospective, multicentre control trial in China显示文摘Background and purpose:5 recent trials have shown the benefit of endovascular treatment for acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)due to large vessel occlusion of the anterior circulation. This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Solitaire thrombectomy in patients with moderate-to-severe stroke in the Chinese population, which has a high prevalence of intracranial atherosclerosis. Methods and analysis:This multicentre prospective control study will involve 17 stroke centres in China, and plans to recruit 150 patients in the intervention group, and 150 patients in the medical group,in which patients meet enrolment criteria but refuse intervention.Patients with AIS due to large vessel occlusion indicated for treatment with Solitaire stent retriever within 12 hours of symptom onset, and who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria, will be enrolled in this study. The primary efficacy endpoint is functional independence as defined by a modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score≤2 at 90 days or by functional improvement as defined by mRS,using shift analysis. The procedural efficacy endpoint is arterial recanalisation of the occluded target vessel measured by a modified Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction(mTICI)score equal or superior to 2b right following the use of the study device. The primary safety endpoint is symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage(sICH)within 24±3 hours postprocedure.Ethics and dissemination:The protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee at the coordinating centre and by the local Institutional Review Board of each participating centre.Trial registration number:NCT02350283. | Zhongrong Miao Xiaochuan Huo Feng Gao Xiaoling Liao Chunjuan Wang Ya Peng Yibin Cao Shengli Chen Meng Zhang Changchun Jiang Xiaoxiang Peng Cunfeng Song Liping Wei Qiyi Zhu Zaiyu Guo Li Liu Hang Lin Hua Yang Wei Wu Hui Liang Anding Xu Kangning Chen Xingquan Zhao Yuesong Pan Hao Li Liping Liu Yilong Wang Yongjun Wang EAST investigators | 2016 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2016,1,2: | 8
Accuracy assessments and uncertainty analysis of spatially explicit modeling for land use/cover change and urbanization:A case in Beijing metropolitan area显示文摘Spatially explicit modeling plays a vital role in land use/cover change and urbanization research as well as resources management;however, current models lack proper validation and fail to incorporate uncertainty into the formulation of model predictions.Consequently, policy makers and the general public may develop opinions based on potentially misleading research, which fails to allow for truly informed decisions. Here we use an uncertainty strategy of spatially explicit modeling combined with the series statistic of Kappa index for location and quantity to estimate the uncertainty of future predications and to determine model accuracy. We take the Beijing metropolitan area as an example to demonstrate the uncertainty in extrapolations of predictive land use change and urban sprawl with spatially explicit modeling at multiple resolutions. The sensitivity of scale effects is also discussed. The results show that an improvement in specification of location is more helpful in increasing accuracy as compared to an improvement in the specification of quantity at fine spatial resolutions. However, the spatial scale has great effects on modeling accuracy and correct due to chance tends to increase as resolution becomes coarser. The results allow us to understand the uncertainty when using spatially explicit models for land-use change or urbanization estimates. | ZHANG Jie ZHOU YinKang LI RenQiang ZHOU ZhaoJun ZHANG LiQuan SHI QingDong PAN XiaoLing | 2010 | Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,2: | 8
Chemical formation and source apportionment of PM_(2.5) at an urban site at the southern foot of the Taihang mountains显示文摘The region along the Taihang Mountains in the North China Plain(NCP) is characterized by serious fine particle pollution. To clarify the formation mechanism and controlling factors, an observational study was conducted to investigate the physical and chemical properties of the fine particulate matter in Jiaozuo city, China. Mass concentrations of the water-soluble ions(WSIs) in PM_(2.5) and gaseous pollutant precursors were measured on an hourly basis from December 1, 2017, to February 27, 2018. The positive matrix factorization(PMF) method and the FLEXible PARTicle(FLEXPART) model were employed to identify the sources of PM_(2.5). The results showed that the average mass concentration of PM_(2.5) was 111 μg/m^(3) during the observation period. Among the major WSIs, sulfate, nitrate, and ammonium(SNA) constituted 62% of the total PM_(2.5) mass, and NO_(3)^(-) ranked the highest with an average contribution of 24.6%. NH_(4)^(+) was abundant in most cases in Jiaozuo. According to chemical balance analysis, SO_(2)-4, NO_(3)^(-), and Cl^(-) might be present in the form of(NH_4)_(2)SO_4, NH_4NO_3, NH_4Cl, and KCl. The liquid-phase oxidation of SO_(2) and NO_(2) was severe during the haze period. The relative humidity and pH were the key factors influencing SO_(4)^(2-) formation. We found that NO_(3)^(-) mainly stemmed from homogeneous gas-phase reactions in the daytime and originated from the hydrolysis of N_(2)O_5 in the nighttime, which was inconsistent with previous studies. The PMF model identified five sources of PM_(2.5) : secondary origin(37.8%), vehicular emissions(34.7%), biomass burning(11.5%), coal combustion(9.4%), and crustal dust(6.6%). | Xiaoyong Liu Mingshi Wang Xiaole Pan Xiyue Wang Xiaolong Yue Donghui Zhang Zhigang Ma Yu Tian Hang Liu Shandong Lei Yuting Zhang Qi Liao Baozhu Ge Dawei Wang Jie Li Yele Sun Pingqing Fu Zifa Wang Hong He | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,5: | 5
Carbon uptake and change in net primary productivity of oasis-desert ecosystem in arid western China with remote sensing technique显示文摘Arid and semi-arid ecosystems exhibit a spatially complex biogeophysical structure. According to arid western special climate-vegetation characters, the fractional cover of photosynthetic vegetation (PV), non-photosynthetic vegetation (NPV), bare soil and water are unmixed, using the remote sensing spectral mixture analysis. We try the method to unmix the canopy funation structure of arid land cover in order to avoid the differentiation of regional vegetation system and the disturbance of environmental background. We developed a modified production efficiency model NPP-PEM appropriate for the arid area at regional scale based on the concept of radiation use efficiency. This model refer to the GLO-PEM and CASA model was driven with remotely sensed observations, and calculates not just the conversion efficiency of absorbed photosynthetically active radiation but also the carbon fluxes that determine net primary productivity (NPP). We apply and validate the model in the Kaxger and Yarkant river basins in arid western China. The NPP of the study area in 1992 and 1998 was estimated based on the NPP-PEM model. The results show that the improved PEM model, considering the photosynthetical activation of heterogeneous functional vegetation, is in good agreement with field measurements and the existing literature. An accurate agreement (R2 = 0.85, P<0.001) between the estimates and the ground-based measurement was obtained. The spatial distribution of mountain-oasis-desert ecosystem shows an obvious heterogeneous carbon uptake. The results are applicable to arid ecosystem studies ranging from characterizing carbon cycle, carbon flux over arid areas to monitoring change in mountain-oasis-desert productivity, stress and management. | ZHANG Jie PAN Xiaoling GAO Zhiqiang SHI Qingdong LV Guanghui | 2006 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2006,16,3: | 4

Diversity of metabolite accumulation patterns in inner and outer seed coats of pomegranate:exploring their relationship with genetic mechanisms of seed coat development显示文摘The expanded outer seed coat and the rigid inner seed coat of pomegranate seeds, both affect the sensory qualities of the fruit and its acceptability to consumers.Pomegranate seeds are also an appealing model for the study of seed coat differentiation and development. We conducted nontarget metabolic profiling to detect metabolites that contribute to the morphological differentiation of the seed coats along with transcriptomic profiling to unravel the genetic mechanisms underlying this process.Comparisons of metabolites in the lignin biosynthetic pathway accumulating in seed coat layers at different developmental stages revealed that monolignols, including coniferyl alcohol and sinapyl alcohol, greatly accumulated in inner seed coats and monolignol glucosides greatly accumulated in outer seed coats.Strong expression of genes involved in monolignol biosynthesis and transport might explain the spatial patterns of biosynthesis and accumulation of these metabolites.Hemicellulose constituents and flavonoids in particular accumulated in the inner seed coat, and candidate genes that might be involved in their accumulation were also identified.Genes encoding transcription factors regulating monolignol, cellulose, and hemicellulose metabolism were chosen by coexpression analysis. These results provide insights into metabolic factors influencing seed coat differentiation and a reference for studying seed coat developmental biology and pomegranate genetic improvement. | Gaihua Qin Chunyan Liu Jiyu Li Yongjie Qi Zhenghui Gao Xiaoling Zhang Xingkai Yi Haifa Pan Ray Ming Yiliu Xu | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 4
Development of volatiles and odor-active compounds in Chinese dry sausage at different stages of process and storage显示文摘The effect of process and storage on the volatiles and odorant profi le of Chinese dry sausage was evaluated,as well as its physicochemical parameters.Microbial esterification and wine(27.54%–43.35%),and lipid oxidation(11.30%–34.92%)played a key role in flavor profile during process and storage.A significant increase of each volatile was detected during process except gradual decrease of volatiles from spices, while a gradual decrease of each volatile was detected during storage except signifi cant increase of volatiles from lipid oxidation and esterifi cation.15 and 6 odor-active compounds were respectively correlated(P<0.05)with the process and storage time.Level of heptanal,1-octen-3-ol,the ethyl of 2-methylbutanoic,3-methylbutanoic,butanoic,benzoic,hexanoic,heptanoic,octanoic and decanoic acid were best discriminators of process stage,while(E)-2-nonenal,ethyl hexanoate, ethyl heptanoate, and methyl decanoate, were marker compounds of storage time.An objective method was established to evaluate the stages of process and storage for samples. | Huimin Zhou Bing Zhao Shunliang Zhang Qianrong Wu Ning Zhu Su Li Xiaoqian Pan Shouwei Wang Xiaoling Qiao | 2021 | Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,3: | 4
Effect of compound Yindan decoction on alpha-naphthylisothiocyanate-Induced acute intrahepatic cholestasis in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the therapeutic mechanism of compound Yindan decoction (CYD) in a rat model of acute intrahepatic cholestatic (AIC).METHODS:A total of 108 adult male rats were randomly divided into control (n =18) and AIC groups (n =90).AIC was induced in rats using alpha-naphthylisothiocyanate (ANIT)(75 mg/kg,10 mL/kg in corn oil,p.o.).Then,90 AIC rats were randomly divided into five groups:a control group (n =18),a CYD high dose group (n =18),a CYD middle dose group (n =18),a CYD low dose group (n =18),and a ursodeoxycholicacid (UDCA) group (n =18).According to sampling time, each group was subdivided into three subgroups:24 h (n =6),48 h (n =6),and 72 h groups (n =6).The CYD-high,-middle and-low groups were orally administered 24.48,12.24,and 6.12 g.kg-1.d-1 modified CYD,respectively, while the model group was given 20 mL/kg of body weight of distilled water once a day.The UDCA group was given 67.5 mg.kg-1.d-1 UDCA once a day.Radioimmunity assay was used to detect the activity of alanine aminotransferase (ALT),aspartate aminotransferase (AST),alkaline phosphatase (ALP),gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) and the levels of total bilirubin (TBil) and indirectbiliruin (DBil) in rats.Reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR),Western blot analysis, and immunohistochemistry were used to detect multidrug resistance-associated protein 2 (MRP2) expression. In vitro,HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cells were treated with CYD medicated serum at a concentration of 15 mol/L.MRP2 and retinoid X receptor alpha (RXRα) expression was analyzed by qRT-PCR and Western blotting.RESULTS:Serum levels of ALT,AST,GGT,ALP,TBil,and DBil were significantly reduced in the CYD and positive drug groups compared with the control group (P < 0.05 and P < 0.01,respectively).Pathological changes in rat liver tissues at 72 h in the CYD-high and-medium dose groups and positive drug group were not significant compared with the control group.CYD and UDCA treatment ameliorated ANIT-induced biliary epithelial cell proliferation.Neutrophil infiltration was rare and little focal necrosis was observed in Iobules in the CYD-high and-medium dose groups and UDCA group at 72 h.Compared with the control group, the expression of MRP2 mRNA and MRP2 protein in the liver tissue of the CYD groups was significantly increased (P <0.05 and P < 0.01,respectively).MRP2 expression and RXRα nuclear receptor mRNA and protein levels in the CYD groups were significantly increased compared with the control and UDCA groups (P <0.01).CONCLUSION:CYD can alleviate cholestasis in ANIT-induced AIC rats, and the mechanism underlying this action might involve increases in ALT,AST,GGT,ALP,TBil,and DBil and upregulation of MRP2 and RXRα mRNA and protein levels. | Sun Fengxia Li Xiaoling Xu Chunjun Sui Jingli Li Pan Wu Jingjing | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,3: | 3
Natural variations in grain length 10(GL10)regulate rice grain size显示文摘Grain size is an important determinant of grain weight and yield in rice.Although several genes related to grain size have been identified, natural variations in these genes that affect grain size are poorly characterized. Here,we describe the grain length QTL GL10,encoding MADS56,which positively regulates grain length and grain weight.A natural allelic variation of NIL-gl10,containing an~1.0-kb deletion in the first exon that abolishes its transcription, results in shorter grain length, lower grain weight and delayed flowering in gl10 plants. The knockout of GL10 in the HJX74 background leads to grain phenotypes similar to that of NIL-gl10,while overexpression of GL10 results in increased grain length and weight and earlier heading date.GL10 regulates grain length by promoting greater longitudinal cell growth in the grain glume.Additionally,GL10 participates in the regulation of gibberellic acid(GA)signaling pathway genes in young panicle tissues.Analysis of GL10 haplotypes shows obvious divergence between the japonica and indica lineages. Our findings reveal an allelic variation of GL10 that may explain differences in grain length among modern cultivars and could be used to breed rice varieties with optimized grain shape. | Penglin Zhan Shuaipeng Ma Zhili Xiao Fangping Li Xin Wei Shaojun Lin Xiaoling Wang Zhe Ji Yu Fu Jiahao Pan Mi Zhou Yue Liu Zengyuan Chang Lu Li Suhong Bu Zupei Liu Haitao Zhu Guifu Liu Guiquan Zhang Shaokui Wang | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,5: | 3
Applications and developments of gene therapy drug delivery systems for genetic diseases显示文摘Genetic diseases seriously threaten human health and have always been one of the refractory conditions facing humanity.Currently, gene therapy drugs such as siRNA,shRNA,antisense oligonucleotide,CRISPR/Cas9 system, plasmid DNA and miRNA have shown great potential in biomedical applications. To avoid the degradation of gene therapy drugs in the body and effectively deliver them to target tissues, cells and organelles, the development of excellent drug delivery vehicles is of utmost importance.Viral vectors are the most widely used delivery vehicles for gene therapy in vivo and in vitro due to their high transfection efficiency and stable transgene expression. With the development of nanotechnology, novel nanocarriers are gradually replacing viral vectors, emerging superior performance. This review mainly illuminates the current widely used gene therapy drugs, summarizes the viral vectors and non-viral vectors that deliver gene therapy drugs, and sums up the application of gene therapy to treat genetic diseases.Additionally, the challenges and opportunities of the field are discussed from the perspective of developing an effective nano-delivery system. | Xiuhua Pan Hanitrarimalala Veroniaina Nan Su Kang Sha Fenglin Jiang Zhenghong Wu Xiaole Qi | 2021 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2021,16,6: | 3
Tocilizumab in patients with moderate or severe COVID-19: a randomized, controlled, open-label, multicenter trial显示文摘Tocilizumab has been reported to attenuate the“cytokine storm”in COVID-19 patients. We attempted to verify the effectiveness and safety of tocilizumab therapy in COVID-19 and identify patients most likely to benefit from this treatment. We conducted a randomized,controlled,open-label multicenter trial among COVID-19 patients. The patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either tocilizumab in addition to standard care or standard care alone. The cure rate, changes of oxygen saturation and interference, and inflammation biomarkers were observed.Thirty-three patients were randomized to the tocilizumab group, and 32 patients to the control group. The cure rate in the tocilizumab group was higher than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(94.12%vs.87.10%,rate difference 95%CI−7.19%–21.23%,P=0.4133).The improvement in hypoxia for the tocilizumab group was higher from day 4 onward and statistically significant from day 12(P=0.0359).In moderate disease patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions, the hypoxia ameliorated earlier after tocilizumab treatment, and less patients(1/12,8.33%)needed an increase of inhaled oxygen concentration compared with the controls(4/6,66.67%;rate difference 95%CI−99.17%to−17.50%,P=0.0217).No severe adverse events occurred.More mild temporary adverse events were recorded in tocilizumab recipients(20/34,58.82%)than the controls(4/31,12.90%).Tocilizumab can improve hypoxia without unacceptable side effect profile and significant influences on the time virus load becomes negative. For patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions and elevated IL-6 levels, tocilizumab could be recommended to improve outcome. | Dongsheng Wang Binqing Fu Zhen Peng Dongliang Yang Mingfeng Han Min Li Yun Yang Tianjun Yang Liangye Sun Wei Li Wei Shi Xin Yao Yan Ma Fei Xu Xiaojing Wang Jun Chen Daqing Xia Yubei Sun Lin Dong Jumei Wang Xiaoyu Zhu Min Zhang Yonggang Zhou Aijun Pan Xiaowen Hu Xiaodong Mei Haiming Wei Xiaoling Xu | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3: | 2
Digital Gene Expression Analysis of Huanglongbing Affected Mandarins(Citrus reticulata Blanco)In Response to Thermotherapy显示文摘Huanglongbing(HLB),which is mainly associated with“Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus”(CLas),is currently threatening citrus production around the world. This destructive century-old disease results in callose deposition in phloem plasmodesmata and starch overaccumulation in leaf chloroplasts.Heat treatment with high humidity has proven to be effective in eliminating the CLas titers in potted citrus trees. This study explored the curative mechanisms and impact of heat treatment(from 32 to 48°C with 75%±5%relative humidity,14h in light and 10h in dark for four days)on mandarin trees(Citrus reticulata Blanco)that were severely infected by CLas using Solexa/Illumina’s digital gene expression(DGE)profiling.A total of 838 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified,of which 510 were downregulated.Proteinprotein interaction analysis of the DEGs indicated that the thermotherapy of HLB trees downregulated the circadian clock related genes in chloroplasts and upregulated the RNA-editing process in the mitochondria, characterized by 141 genes encoding pentatricopeptide repeatcontaining proteins(PPR)being all upregulated.Furthermore, the expression of phenylpropanoid and flavonoid biosynthesis genes, and auxininduced genes were suppressed. The defense response pathway of the thermotherapy treated diseased trees was apparently disrupted,as indicated by the downregulation of LRR receptor-like serine/threonine-protein kinase FLS2 gene. This study improves our understanding of the curative mechanisms of heat treatment on HLB trees and CLas biological regulation.Importantly, this provides new insights on the involvement of RNA modification by PPR genes and changes in the circadian clock after the heat stress treatment of CLas-infected citrus. | Ruixuan Pan Yanling Chen Xiaoling Deng Meirong Xu | 2021 | Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,1: | 2
Nanoengineered hydrogels as 3D biomimetic extracellular matrix with injectable and sustained delivery capability for cartilage regeneration显示文摘The regeneration of articular cartilage remains a great challenge due to the difficulty in effectively enhancing spontaneous healing.Recently, the combination of implanted stem cells, suitable biomaterials and bioactive molecules has attracted attention for tissue regeneration. In this study,a novel injectable nanocomposite was rationally designed as a sustained release platform for enhanced cartilage regeneration through integration of a chitosan-based hydrogel, articular cartilage stem cells(ACSCs)and mesoporous SiO_(2)nanoparticles loaded with anhydroicaritin(AHI).The biocompatible engineered nanocomposite acting as a novel 3D biomimetic extracellular matrix exhibited a remarkable sustained release effect due to the synergistic regulation of the organic hydrogel framework and mesopore channels of inorganic mSiO_(2)nanoparticles(mSiO_(2)NPs).Histological assessment and biomechanical tests showed that the nanocomposites exhibited superior performance in inducing ACSCs proliferation and differentiation in vitro and promoting extracellular matrix(ECM)production and cartilage regeneration in vivo.Such a novel multifunctional biocompatible platform was demonstrated to significantly enhance cartilage regeneration based on the sustained release of AHI,an efficient bioactive natural small molecule for ACSCs chondrogenesis, within the hybrid matrix of hydrogel and mSiO_(2)NPs.Hence,the injectable nanocomposite holds great promise for use as a 3D biomimetic extracellular matrix for tissue regeneration in clinical diagnostics. | Penglei Cui Panpan Pan Ling Qin Xinluan Wang Xiaodong Chen Yonghui Deng Xiaoling Zhang | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,1: | 2
