12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 3Ablation of gut microbiota alleviates obesity-induced hepatic steatosis and glucose intolerance by modulating bile acid metabolism in hamsters显示文摘Since metabolic process differs between humans and mice, studies were performed in hamsters, which are generally considered to be a more appropriate animal model for studies of obesityrelated metabolic disorders. The modulation of gut microbiota, bile acids and the farnesoid X receptor(FXR) axis is correlated with obesity-induced insulin resistance and hepatic steatosis in mice. However,the interactions among the gut microbiota, bile acids and FXR in metabolic disorders remained largely unexplored in hamsters. In the current study, hamsters fed a 60% high-fat diet(HFD) were administeredvehicle or an antibiotic cocktail by gavage twice a week for four weeks. Antibiotic treatment alleviated HFD-induced glucose intolerance, hepatic steatosis and inflammation accompanied with decreased hepatic lipogenesis and elevated thermogenesis in subcutaneous white adipose tissue(sWAT). In the livers of antibiotic-treated hamsters, cytochrome P450 family 7 subfamily B member 1(CYP7 B1) in the alternative bile acid synthesis pathway was upregulated, contributing to a more hydrophilic bile acid profile with increased tauro-β-muricholic acid(TβMCA). The intestinal FXR signaling was suppressed but remained unchanged in the liver. 4Structure of Chinese City Network as Driven by Technological Knowledge Flows显示文摘Based on patent cooperation data,this study used a range of city network analysis approaches in order to explore the structure of the Chinese city network which is driven by technological knowledge flows.The results revealed the spatial structure,composition structure,hierarchical structure,group structure,and control structure of Chinese city network,as well as its dynamic factors.The major findings are:1) the spatial pattern presents a diamond structure,in which Wuhan is the central city;2) although the invention patent knowledge network is the main part of the broader inter-city innovative cooperation network,it is weaker than the utility model patent;3) as the senior level cities,Beijing,Shanghai and the cities in the Zhujiang(Pearl) River Delta Region show a strong capability of both spreading and controlling technological knowledge;4) whilst a national technology alliance has preliminarily formed,regional alliances have not been adequately established;5) even though the cooperation level amongst weak connection cities is not high,such cities still play an important role in the network as a result of their location within ′structural holes′ in the network;and 6) the major driving forces facilitating inter-city technological cooperation are geographical proximity,hierarchical proximity and technological proximity.MA Haitao FANG Chuanglin PANG Bo WANG Shaojian 2015Chinese Geographical Science2015,25,4:28

Inflammation, a protective response involving immune cells, blood vessels,and molecular mediators directed against harmful stimuli, is closely associated with many human diseases.As a result, biomimetic nanoparticles mimicking immune cells can help achieve molecular imaging and precise drug delivery to these inflammatory sites. 6人参皂苷Rg1对糖尿病大鼠心肌氧化应激及细胞凋亡的影响(英文)显示文摘目的:探讨人参皂苷Rg1对高血糖所致心肌损害的保护作用及其机制。创新点:使用糖尿病大鼠为实验对象,探讨三种浓度的人参皂苷Rg1对糖尿病心肌损伤的保护作用及其机制,检测其是否具有浓度依赖性。方法:将60只Wistar大鼠随机分组,其中空白对照组10只,另50只给予高脂高糖饲养,4周后腹腔注射40 mg/kg链脲佐菌素(STZ)。成功制备糖尿病大鼠模型40只,再随机分为糖尿病模型组,糖尿病大鼠+低剂量人参皂苷Rg1(10 mg/(kg·d)),糖尿病大鼠+中剂量人参皂苷Rg1(15 mg/(kg·d)),糖尿病大鼠+高剂量人参皂苷Rg1(20 mg/(kg·d))。12周后处死大鼠,取血测定空腹血糖、总胆固醇(TC)、甘油三酯(TG)、心肌酶及氧化应激水平,留取心肌组织使用透射电镜观察心肌细胞超微结构改变,应用TUNEL法检测心肌细胞凋亡,免疫组化检测细胞凋亡相关蛋白半胱氨酸天冬氨酸蛋白酶3(CASP3)和Bcl-x L的表达。结论:人参皂苷Rg1对糖尿病大鼠糖脂代谢无明显影响,人参皂苷Rg1可降低糖尿病大鼠血清肌钙蛋白(c Tn I)和肌酸激酶同工酶(CK-MB)水平,改善心肌细胞超微结构,减少心肌细胞凋亡,降低大鼠血清和心肌组织中丙二醛(MDA)含量,提高超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)和谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH)水平,降低凋亡蛋白CASP3的表达,同时提高Bcl-x L蛋白表达。总之,人参皂苷Rg1能显著保护糖尿病大鼠心肌损伤,其机制可能与其抗氧化及抗细胞凋亡作用有关。Hai-tao YU Juan ZHEN Bo PANG Jin-ning GU Sui-sheng WU 2015Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2015,16,5:23
7Coexistence of hyperlipidemia and acute cerebral ischemia/reperfusion induces severe liver damage in a rat model显示文摘AIM:To investigate the correlation of hyperlipemia(HL) and acute cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(I/R) injury on liver damage and its mechanism.METHODS:Rats were divided into 4 groups:control,HL,I/R and HL+I/R.After the induction of HL via a high-fat diet for 18 wk,middle cerebral artery occlusion was followed by 24 h of reperfusion to capture I/R.Serum alanine transaminase(ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase(AST) were analyzed as part of liver function tests and liver damage was further assessed by histological examination.Hepatocyte apoptosis was evaluated by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling(TUNEL) assay.The expression of genes related to apoptosis(caspase-3,bcl-2) was assayed by immunohistochemistry and Western blotting.Serum tumor necrosis factor-(TNF-),interleukin-1(IL-1) and liver mitochondrial superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),malondialdehyde(MDA) and Ca 2+ levels were measured to determine inflammatory and oxidative/antioxidative status respectively.Microsomal hydroxylase activity of the cytochrome P450 2E1(CYP2E1)-containing enzyme was measured with aniline as the substrate,and CYP2E1 expression in the liver tissue and microsome was determined by immunohistochemistry and Western blotting respectively.RESULTS:HL alone induced by high-fat diet for 18 wk resulted in liver damage,indicated by histopathological analysis,and a considerable increase in serum ALT(25.13 ± 16.90 vs 9.56 ± 1.99,P < 0.01) and AST levels(18.01 ± 10.00 vs 11.33 ± 4.17,P < 0.05) compared with control.Moreover,HL alone induced hepatocyte apoptosis,which was determined by increased TUNEL-positive cells(4.47 ± 0.45 vs 1.5 ± 0.22,P < 0.01),higher caspase-3 and lower bcl-2 expression.Interestingly,compared with those in control,HL or I/R groups,massive increases of serum ALT(93.62 ± 24.00 vs 9.56 ± 1.99,25.13 ± 16.90 or 12.93 ± 6.14,P < 0.01) and AST(82.32 ± 26.92 vs 11.33 ± 4.17,18.01 ± 10.00 or 14.00 ± 6.19,P < 0.01) levels in HL+I/R group were observed suggesting severe liver damage,which was confirmed by liver histology.In addition,HL combined with I/R also caused significantly increased hepatocyte apoptosis,as evidenced by increased TUNEL-positive cells(6.20 ± 0.29 vs 1.5 ± 0.22,4.47 ± 0.45 or 1.97 ± 0.47,P < 0.01),elevated expression of caspase-3 and lower expression of bcl-2.Furthermore,when compared to HL or I/R alone,HL plus I/R enhanced serum TNF-,IL-1,liver mitochondrial MDA and Ca 2+ levels,suppressed SOD and GSH-Px in liver mitochondria,and markedly up-regulated the activity(11.76 ± 2.36 vs 4.77 ± 2.31 or 3.11 ± 1.35,P < 0.01) and expression(3.24 ± 0.38 vs 1.98 ± 0.88 or 1.72 ± 0.58,P < 0.01) of CYP2E1 in liver.CONCLUSION:The coexistence of HL and acute cerebral I/R induces severe liver damage,suggesting that cerebral ischemic stroke would exaggerate the damage of liver caused by HL.This effect is possibly due to en-hanced CYP2E1 induction which further promotes oxidative damage,inflammation and hepatocyte apoptosis.Wei-Hong Gong Wen-Xia Zheng Jun Wang Shi-Hui Chen Bo Pang Xia-Min Hu Xiao-Lu Cao 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,35:17
8Effect of electroacupuncture on expression of Ang/Tie-2 mRNA and protein in rats with acute cerebral infarction显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To identify the intervention mechanism of the effect of electroacupuncture on the expression of Ang/Tie-2 m RNA and protein in rats with acute cerebral infarction induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO).METHODS: Altogether 120 Wistar rats were subjected to MCAO by inserting a nylon filament, andthen divided into 3 groups: control group, injured group and electroacupuncture group. The injured and electroacupuncture groups were further divided into the following 7 subgroups according to the time after MCAO: 3, 6, 12, 24 h, 3, 7 and 12 d, with 8 rats in each subgroup. The electroacupuncture group was given electroacupuncture treatment at Shuigou(GV 26) instantly after operation. 9One-phase treatment for calculous pyonephrosis by percutaneous nephrolithotomy assisted by EMS LithoClast master显示文摘The one-phase therapy for calculous pyonephrosis through percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is currently vigorously debated.After a definite preoperative diagnosis of pyonephrosis,the traditional approach1 has been initial drainage through puncture and nephrostomy.Upon the stabilization of symptoms,a second-phase operation is performed.If pus is discovered during an intra-operative puncture,a nephrostomy tube is deposited until a second elective operation.With the advancements of science and technology,the third generation EMS LithoClast master is capable of not only efficiently crushing and removing the stones,but also lowering the intra-pelvic pressure through vacuum suction.Thus the surgical risks have been greatly reduced so that many one-phase operations for calculous pyonephrosis may be completed.2 Ever since the application of EMS LithoClast master at our department since 2006,a total of 128 patients with calculous pyonephrosis have been surgically cured within one single phase.No overt complication was observed.In conjunction with the study results of high-pressure perfusion in animal models of pyonephrosis,a report was compiled as below.WANG Jian ZHOU Da-qing HE Meng LI Wen-gang PANG Xiang YU Xiao-xiang JIANG Bo 2013Chinese Medical Journal2013,,8:15

11Quantitative measuring and influencing mechanism of urban and rural land intensive use in ChinaQuantitative measuring and influencing mechanism of urban and rural land intensive use in China显示文摘Land use issue is an important constraining force to limit economic sustainable development of China. Urban and rural rapid expansion depletes valued land resources under the background of rapid urbanization. An extensive use pattern might cause a serious waste of land resources. The study on influencing mechanism of land intensive use(LIU) in China at the county level is a key tool for effective LIU practice and policy-making. This paper uses OLS model, Spatial Panel Lagged model and Spatial Panel Error model to quantitatively analyze the influencing mechanisms of five class factors and 17 variables supported by GIS(Geographic Information System) and MATLAB. And a comprehensive data set was developed including physical geography and socio-economic information of 2286 counties. Meanwhile, the spatiotemporal pattern of LIU has discussed by means of GIS. The results show that Spatial Panel Data models are slightly superior to OLS model in terms of significance and confidence level. Regression results of these models indicate that industrialization, urbanization, economic development level, location, transportation and policy have significant impact on LIU of counties. The variables of physical geography are less significant than socio-economic variables. An ignored variable of historical factor, however, became the best significant factor. In the future, the LIU at the county level should take advantage of the new situation by enhancing favorable factors and reducing disadvantageous ones, which can be acquired by improving the entire level and quality of industrialization and urbanization. We argued that an efficient and complete land market and operating system should be built to reflect market-oriented activities at the first place, then, differential LIU regulation policies and measurements should be optimized according to regional differences. 13Synoptic-scale variation of δ^(18)O in summer monsoon rainfall at Lijiang, China显示文摘Based on the daily δ^(18)O data in June―September 2003 at Lijiang and the daily mean NCEP/ NCAR reanalysis data, synoptic-scale variation of δ^(18)O in summer monsoon rainfall was investigated. The 'precipitation amount effect' is obvious for the daily δ^(18)O variation, whereas the 'temperature effect' is insignificant. Alternate occurrences of active phase and break phase of the southwest monsoon probably influence the synoptic-scale δ^(18)O variation prominently. Moreover, the isotopic composition in precipitation during the late monsoon months is presumably influenced significantly by recycling of monsoon precipitation. Both the above factors disturb the 'amount effect' of isotopic variation in the monsoon region. This study also indicates that the synoptic-scale rainfall δ^(18)O variation at Lijiang in summer is domi-nated by the Indian monsoon depression (low pressure) system at large scale. 14First Discovery of North-South Striking Normal Faults near the Potential Eastern End of Altyn Tagh Fault显示文摘The Altyn Tagh fault is the northern boundary of Tibetan Plateau. As one of the most well-known strike-slip fault in the world, great achievements on tectonic deformation and Late Quaternary slip rate have been made. However, there is a long-lasting debate on whether the Altyn Tagh fault extends into the Jinta Basin or even eastward. In this paper, we use satellite image interpretation, field investigation, trench excavation, and optical stimulated luminescence dating to study newly found NS striking scarps in the eastern end of Jinta Nan Shan. The results are as follows: firstly, a group of normal faults develop on terrace T2 of Heihe River, the total length amounts to ~40 km, total scarp height is 30±5 m; secondly, four paleoseismic events have been interpreted from three trenches, approximate ages of events are 79.97±19.14 ka BP, 62.55±13.10~55.41±10.77 ka BP, before 16.89±2.08 ka BP, 8.52±1.49 ka BP, respectively; thirdly, just like NS normal faults in the western end of Altyn Tagh fault, the newly found NS extensional faults are likely the terminating tectonics of the eastern end of Altyn Tagh fault, the large Altyn Tagh fault may end in the eastern end of Jinta Nan Shan.Bo Zhang Daoyang Yuan Wengui He Wei Pang Pengtao Wang Ming Wu 2018Journal of Earth Science2018,29,1:6
15A Method for Detection of Main Metabolites in Aromatic Rice Seeds显示文摘[Objective] A method was developed for the analysis of main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS).[Method]The main metabolites in seeds of 9 different aromatic rice varieties were compared and analyzed with two methods. Method 1: the compound was extracted by the mixture of anhydrous ethanol and methylene chloride( V/V = 1∶ 1) at 60 ℃ for 3 h in water bath; the extract was isolated and detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry using HP-5 capillary column with scan monitoring mode. Method 2: the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds were detected using headspace solid phase micro-extraction and gas chromatography mass spectrometry( GC-MS). [Result]Fifteen types of common metabolites were found in 9 different aromatic rice varieties. Method 1 was more effective than method 2 in detecting the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds. 16Altered Expression of Matrix Metalloproteinases and Tight Junction Proteins in Rats following PEMF-Induced BBB Permeability Change显示文摘Objective To investigate the expression of occludin,ZO‐1,MMP‐2,and MMP‐9 in cerebral microvasculature following Pulse Electromagnetic Field(PEMF) induced BBB permeability change.Methods Sprague‐Dawley rats were randomized into PEMF and sham exposed groups(n=8).After exposure to PEMF at 0.5,1,3,6,and 12 h,BBB permeability was measured by Evans‐Blue extravasation.The expression of occludin,ZO‐1,MMP‐2,and MMP‐9 were detected by real‐time quantitative reverse transcriptase PCR and western blotting.MMP‐2 and MMP‐9 activity were detected by EnzChek gelatinase assay.Results Compared with the sham group,PEMF exposure led to increased permeability of the BBB to EB,which was prolonged after exposure.BBB permeability became progressively more severe,and recovered at 6 h.The gene and protein expression of occludin and ZO‐1 were significantly decreased,while MMP‐2 and MMP‐9 expression were significantly increased after exposure to PEMF.All levels of expression recovered 12 h following PEMF.Conclusion Changes to BBB permeability were related to the alteration expression of tight junction proteins and matrix metalloproteinase after exposure to PEMF.ZHANG Ya Mei ZHOU Yan QIU Lian Bo DING Gui Rong PANG Xiao Feng 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,2:5
17Endoplasmic reticulum stress sensitizes human esophageal cancer cell to radiation显示文摘AIM:To investigate the role of endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress in cancer radiotherapy and its molecular mechanism.METHODS:Tunicamycin(TM) was applied to induce ER stress in human esophageal cancer cell line EC109,and the radiosensitization effects were detected by acute cell death and clonogenic survival assay.Cell cycle arrest induced by TM was determined by flow cytometric analysis after the cellular DNA content was labeled with propidium iodide.Apoptosis of EC109 cells induced by TM was detected by annexin V staining and Western blotting of caspase-3 and its substrate poly ADP-ribose polymerase.Autophagic response was determined by acridine orange(AO) staining and Western blotting of microtubule-associated protein-1 light chain-3(LC3) and autophagy related gene 5(ATG5).In order to test the biological function of autophagy,specific inhibitor or Beclin-1 knockdown was used to inhibit autophagy,and its effect on cell apoptosis was thus detected.Additionally,involvement of the phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase(PI3K)/Akt/mammalian target of the rapamycin(mTOR) pathway was also detected by Western blotting.Finally,male nude mice inoculated subcutaneously with EC109 cells were used to confirm cell model observations.RESULTS:Our results showed that TM treatment enhanced cell death and reduced the colony survival fraction induced by ionizing radiation(IR),which suggested an obvious radiosensitization effect of TM.Moreover,TM and IR combination treatment led to a significant increase of G2/M phase and apoptotic cells,compared with IR alone.We also observed an increase of AO positive cells,and the protein level of LC3-II and ATG5 was induced by TM treatment,which suggested an autophagic response in EC109 cells.However,inhibition of autophagy by using a chemical inhibitor or Beclin-1 silencing led to increased cell apoptosis and decreased cell viability,which suggested a cytoprotective role of autophagy in stressed EC109 cells.Furthermore,TM treatment also activated mTORC1,and in turn reduced Akt phosphorylation,which suggested the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signal pathway was involved in the TM-induced autophagic response in EC109 cells.Tumor xenograft results also showed synergistic retarded tumor growth by TM treatment and IR,as well as the involvement of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway.CONCLUSION:Our data showed that TM treatment sensitized human esophageal cancer cells to radiation via apoptosis and autophagy both in vitro and in vivo.Xue-Li Pang Gang He Yang-Bo Liu Yan Wang Bo Zhang 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,11:5

19Novel wavelet neural network algorithm for continuous and noninvasive dynamic estimation of blood pressure from photoplethysmography显示文摘This paper proposes a novel wavelet neural network algorithm for the continuous and noninvasive dynamic estimation of blood pressure(BP). Unlike prior algorithms, the proposed algorithm capitalizes on the correlation between photoplethysmography(PPG) and BP. Complete BP waveforms are reconstructed based on PPG signals to extract systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP). To improve the robustness, Daubechies wavelet is implemented as the hidden layer node function for the neural network. An optimized neural network structure is proposed to reduce the computational complexity. Further, this paper investigates an inhomogeneous resilient backpropagation(IRBP) algorithm to calculate the weight of hidden layer nodes. The IRBP improves the convergence speed and reconstruction accuracy. Multiparameter intelligent monitoring in Intensive Care(MIMIC) databases, which contain a variety of physiological parameters captured from patient monitors, are used to validate this algorithm. The standard deviation σ between reconstructed and actual BP signals is 4.4797 mm Hg, which satisfies the American National Standards of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation. 20Hyperhomocysteinemia induces injury in olfactory bulb neurons by downregulating Hes1 and Hes5 expression显示文摘Hyperhomocysteinemia has been shown to be associated with neurodegenerative diseases; however, lesions or histological changes and mechanisms underlying homocysteine-induced injury in olfactory bulb neurons remain unclear. In this study, hyperhomocysteinemia was induced in apolipoprotein E-deficient mice with 1.7% methionine. Pathological changes in the olfactory bulb were observed through hematoxylin-eosin and Pischingert staining. Cell apoptosis in the olfactory bulb was determined through terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated d UTP nick end-labeling(TUNEL) staining. Transmission electron microscopy revealed an abnormal ultrastructure of neurons. Furthermore, immunoreactivity and expression of the hairy enhancer of the split 1(Hes1) and Hes5 were measured using immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and western blot assay. Our results revealed no significant structural abnormality in the olfactory bulb of hyperhomocysteinemic mice. However, the number of TUNEL-positive cells increased in the olfactory bulb, lipofuscin and vacuolization were visible in mitochondria, and the expression of Hes1 and Hes5 decreased.
