3Injectable melatonin-loaded carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS)-based hydrogel accelerates wound healing by reducing inflammation and promoting angiogenesis and collagen deposition显示文摘Carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS)-based hydrogels have antibacterial activity,and have shown the abilities of preventing wound infection,promoting cell proliferation,accelerating collagen deposition,and stimulating hyaluronic acid formation during wound healing.As a hormone produced by the pineal gland in humans and animals,melatonin promotes skin wound healing by regulating the release of inflammatory mediators and accelerating the proliferation and migration of cells,angiogenesis,and collagen deposition.However,the combined effects of CMCS and melatonin on wound healing remain unclear.Injectable CMCS-based hydrogels containing melatonin were prepared,and their healing effects were evaluated using a full-thickness cutaneous wound model in rats.Compared with the control and the hydrogel with no melatonin groups,the melatonin-loaded hydrogel significantly increased the percentage of wound closure,promoted the proliferation of granulation tissue and re-epithelialization,and accelerated collagen deposition.Additionally,the melatonin-loaded hydrogel promoted angiogenesis and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor protein expression and increased the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 and inducible nitric oxide synthase.The melatonin-loaded hydrogel also markedly increased the expression of collagen III,α-smooth muscle actin,and transforming growth factor-β1 proteins and reduced collagen I expression.These results suggest that the melatonin-loaded hydrogel promoted granulation tissue formation and accelerated wound healing by reducing inflammation and promoting angiogenesis and collagen deposition.Kai Chen Changci Tong Jinge Yang Peifang Cong Ying Liu Xiuyun Shi Xu Liu Jun Zhang Rufei Zou Keshen Xiao Yuyang Ni Lei Xu Mingxiao Hou Hongxu Jin Yunen Liu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,4:2

5A tarsus construct of a novel branched polyethylene with good elasticity for eyelid reconstruction in vivo显示文摘Branched polyethylene(B-PE)elastomer was investigated for its potential medical application as a tarsus construct.The in vitro results showed that the B-PE and processed B-PE films or scaffolds did not exhibit noticeable cytotoxicity to the NIH3T3 fibroblasts and human vascular endothelial cells(ECs).The B-PE scaffolds with a pore size of 280–480 mm were prepared by using a gelatin porogen-leaching method.The porous scaffolds implanted subcutaneously in rats exhibited mild inflammatory response,collagen deposition and fast fibrovascularization,suggesting their good biocompatibility.Quantitative real-time PCR analysis showed low expression of pro-inflammatory genes and up-regulated expressions of collagen deposition and vascularization-related genes,validating the results of historical evaluation in a molecular level.The B-PE scaffolds and Medpor controls were transplanted in rabbits with eyelid defects.The B-PE scaffolds exhibited a similar elastic modulus and provided desirable repair effects with mild fibrous capsulation,less eyelid deformities,and were well integrated with the fibrovascular tissue compared with the Medpor controls.Peifang Xu Xue Feng Honghao Zheng Zhongwei Feng Zhisheng Fu Changyou Gao Juan Ye 2020Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,3:1

8Real-time in situ observation of P53-mediated cascade activation of apoptotic pathways with nucleic acid multicolor fluorescent probes based on symmetrical gold nanostars显示文摘T-2 toxin,one of the most dangerous natural pollutants,induces apoptosis through multiple pathways.Amongst,P53 mediated apoptosis pathway,an important collection of molecules,plays a key role in cell vital activity.Real-time monitoring of upstream and downstream activation relationships of P53 mRNA,Bax mRNA,and cytochrome c(Cyt c)in signaling pathways is of great significance for understanding the apoptotic machinery in human physiology.In this work,a novel nucleic acid multicolor fluorescent probe,based on silica-coated symmetric gold nanostars(S-AuNSs@SiO_(2)),was developed for highly sensitive in situ real-time imaging of P53 mRNA,Bax mRNA,and Cyt c during T-2 toxin-induced apoptosis.The nucleic acid chains modified with carboxyl groups were modified on the surface of S-AuNSs@SiO_(2)by amide reaction.The complementary chains of targeted mRNA and the aptamer of targeted Cyt c were modified with different fluorophores,respectively,and successfully hybridized on S-AuNSs@SiO_(2)surface.When targets were present,the fluorescent chains bound to the targets and detached from the material,resulting in the quenched fluorescence being revived.The probes based on S-AuNSs showed excellent performance is partly ascribed to the presence of 20 symmetric“hot spots”.Notably,the amide-bonded probe exhibited excellent anti-interference capability against biological agents(nucleases and biothiols).During the real-time fluorescence imaging of T-2 toxin-induced apoptosis,the corresponding fluorescence signals of P53 mRNA,Bax mRNA,and Cyt c were observed sequentially.Therefore,S-AuNSs@SiO_(2)probe not only provides a novel tool for real-time monitoring of apoptosis pathways cascade but also has considerable potential in disease diagnosis and pharmaceutical medical.Chenbiao Li Peifang Chen Xiaoyuan Ma Xichi Lin Shan Xu Sobia Niazi Zhouping Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0
90D/1D AgI/MoO_(3)Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst:Highly efficient visible-light-driven photocatalyst for sulfamethoxazole degradation显示文摘Low dimension nano photocatalysts show great potential in the field of treating contaminated water for their large surface area and size effect.In this study,a 0 D/1 D AgI/MoO_(3)Z-scheme photocatalyst with striking photocatalytic performance was constructed successfully.The one-dimensional MoO_(3)nanobelts were prepared by a simple hydrothermal method,and then it was modified by AgI nanoparticles in a handy deposition approach.When choosing sulfamethoxazole(SMZ)as the target contaminant,the rate constant value of the optimal 0 D/1 D AgI/MoO_(3)composite could hit up to 0.13 min^(-1),which is nearly 22.4 times and 32.5 times as that of pure MoO_(3)(0.0058 min^(-1))and AgI(0.0040 min^(-1)),respectively.A series of detailed characterizations give evidences that the charge transfer in the composite followed Z scheme mechanism.Therefore,efficient separation/transfer and the remained high redox activity of photogenerated carriers played a vital role in the sharply enhanced photocatalytic properties.The possible degradation pathways of SMZ were proposed based on the intermediates detected by high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(HPLC-MS).Meanwhile,the magnificent cyclic stability makes the material a promising material in the practical application.Jing Xu Juan Chen Yanhui Ao Peifang Wang 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,10:0
10Drought resistance of four grasses using pressure-volume curve显示文摘Pressure-volume curve(PV curve)technique is a major method for studying critical plant water potential and critical tissue water content when plasmolysis takes place.In the present study,a mathematical solution method is put forward to obtain parameters based on the PV curve.The cal-culated results for the parameters of Lolium perenne,Festuca arundinacea,Leymus chinensis and Stipa krylovii indicated that the mathematical solution method is convenient for actual research compared with the graphical method.Further analysis of the calculations suggested that drought resistance decreased in the following order:S.krylovii>F.arundinacea and L.chinensis>L.perenne.HE Xingdong CONG Peifang GAO Yubao LU Jianguo WANG Haitao XUE Pingping ZHANG Xu 2007Frontiers in Biology2007,2,4:0
