1Effect of Liuweibuqi capsule, a Chinese patent medicine, on the JAK1/STAT3 pathway and MMP9/TIMP1 in a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease rat model显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe effect of Liuweibuqi Capsule, a Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), on the janus kinase(JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT) pathway and matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) in a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) rat model with lung deficiency in terms of TCM's pattern differentiation.METHODS: Rats were randomly divided into a normal group, model group, Liuweibuqi group, Jinshuibao group, and spleen aminopeptidase group(n=10). Aside from the normal group, all rats were ex-posed to smoke plus lipopolysaccharide tracheal instillation to establish the COPD model with lung deficiency. Models were established after 28 days and then the normal and model groups were given normal saline(0.09 g/kg), Liuweibuqi group was given Liuweibuqi capsule(0.35 g/kg), Jinshuibao group was given Jinshuibao capsules(0.495 g/kg), and the spleen group was given spleen aminopeptidase(0.33 mg/kg), once a day for 30 days. Changes in symptoms, signs, and lung histology were observed. Lung function was measured with a spirometer. Serum cytokines were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and changes in the JAK/STAT pathway, MMP-9, and MMPs inhibitor1(TIMP1) were detected by immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, and western blotting, respectively.RESULTS: Compared with the normal group, lung tissue was damaged, and lung function was reduced in the model control group. Additionally, the levels of interleukin(IL)-1β, γ interferon(IFN-γ), and IL-6 were higher, while IL-4 and IL-10 were lower in the model control group than those in the normal group. The expressions of JAK1, STAT3, p-STAT3,and MMP-9 m RNA and protein in lung tissue were higher, and TIMP1 m RNA and protein was lower in the model group compared with the normal group.After treatment, compared with the model group,the expression of inflammatory cytokines was lower in each treatment group, and expressions of JAK/STAT pathway, MMPs were lower. Compared with the positive control groups, the Jinshuibao and spleen aminopeptidase groups, lung function was better, and JAK1, STAT3, and p-STAT3 protein were lower and TIMP1 was higher in the Liuweibuqi group.CONCLUSION: Liuweibuqi capsules can improve the symptoms of COPD possibly by regulating the expression of the JAK1/STAT3 pathway and MMP9/TIMP1.Wang Chengyang Li Zegen Liu Xiangguo Peng Qinghe Li Fang Li Da Wang Chuanbo 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,1:23
2ZmCOL3, a CCT gene represses flowering in maize by interfering with the circadian clock and activating expression of ZmCCT显示文摘Flowering time is a trait vital to the adaptation of flowering plants to different environments.Here, we report that CCT domain genes play an important role in flowering in maize(Zea mays L.).Among the 53 CCT family genes we identified in maize, 28 were located in flowering time quantitative trait locus regions and 15 were significantly associated with flowering time, based on candidate-gene association mapping analysis.Furthermore, a CCT gene named ZmCOL3 was shown to be a repressor of flowering.Overexpressing ZmCOL3 delayed flowering time by approximately 4 d, in either long-day or short-day conditions.The absence of one cytosine in the ZmCOL3 3'UTR and the presence of a 551 bp fragment in the promoter region are likely the causal polymorphisms contributing to the maize adaptation from tropical to temperate regions.We propose a modified model of the maize photoperiod pathway, wherein ZmCOL3 acts as an inhibitor of flowering either by transactivating transcription of ZmCCT, one of the key genes regulating maize flowering, or by interfering with the circadian clock.Minliang Jin Xiangguo Liu Wei Jia Haijun Liu Wenqiang Li Yong Peng Yanfang Du Yuebin Wang Yuejia Yin Xuehai Zhang Qing Liu Min Deng Nan Li Xiyan Cui Dongyun Hao Jianbing Yan 2018Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2018,60,6:14
3Coal mining GPS subsidence monitoring technology and its application显示文摘We proved theoretically that geodetic height,measured with Global Positioning System(GPS),can be applied directly to monitor coal mine subsidence.Based on a Support Vector Machine(SVM) model,we built a regional geoid model with a Gaussian Radial Basis Function(RBF) and the technical scheme for GPS coal mine subsidence monitoring is presented to provide subsidence information for updating the regional Digital Elevation Model(DEM).The theory proposed was applied to monitor mining subsidence in an Inner Mongolia coal mine in China.The scheme established an accurate GPS reference network and a comprehensive leveling conjunction provided the normal height of all GPS control points.According to the case study,the SVM model to establish geoid-model is better than a polynomial it or a Genetic Algorithm based Back Propagation(GA-BP) neural network.GPS-RTK measurements of coal mine subsidence information can be quickly acquired for updating the DEM.Wang Jian Peng Xiangguo Xu Chang hui 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,4:6

6Confining TiO_2 Nanotubes in PECVD-Enabled Graphene Capsules Toward Ultrafast K-Ion Storage: In Situ TEM/XRD Study and DFT Analysis显示文摘Titanium dioxide(TiO2) has gained burgeoning attention for potassium-ion storage because of its large theoretical capacity,wide availability,and environmental benignity.Nevertheless,the inherently poor conductivity gives rise to its sluggish reaction kinetics and inferior rate capability.Here,we report the direct graphene growth over TiO2 nanotubes by virtue of chemical vapor deposition.Such conformal graphene coatings effectively enhance the conductive environment and well accommodate the volume change of TiO2 upon potassiation/depotassiation.When paired with an activated carbon cathode,the graphene-armored TiO2 nanotubes allow the potassium-ion hybrid capacitor full cells to harvest an energy/power density of 81.2 Wh kg-1/3746.6 W kg-1.We further employ in situ transmis sion electron microscopy and ope rando X-ray diffraction to probe the potassium-ion storage behavior.This work offers a viable and versatile solution to the anode design and in situ probing of potassium storage technologies that is readily promising for practical applications.Jingsheng Cai Ran Cai Zhongti Sun Xiangguo Wang Nan Wei Feng Xu Yuanlong Shao Peng Gao Shixue Dou Jingyu Sun 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,9:2

9First Observation of Signature Inversion in πh_(9/2) ■ vi_(13/2) Oblate Band in ^(190)Tl显示文摘The high-spin states of 190Tl, populated via the 160Gd(35Cl, 5n)190Tl fusion-evaporation reaction at 167 and 175 MeV beam energies, have been investigated by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy. Based on the experiment measured results, together with references to the previous in-beam work and the studies of the 194Bi αdecay, the level scheme of 190Tl has been established as shown in Fig.1. Spins for the levels above the 300 keV 10-state were proposed from the measured DCO and γ-ray anisotropy results. 12Machine learning accelerated carbon neutrality research using big data-from predictive models to interatomic potentials显示文摘Carbon neutrality has been proposed as a solution for the current severe energy and climate crisis caused by the overuse of fossil fuels, and machine learning(ML) has exhibited excellent performance in accelerating related research owing to its powerful capacity for big data processing. This review presents a detailed overview of ML accelerated carbon neutrality research with a focus on energy management, screening of novel energy materials, and ML interatomic potentials(MLIPs), with illustrations of two selected MLIP algorithms: moment tensor potential(MTP) and neural equivariant interatomic potential(NequIP).
