| 3 | Origin of the springtime South China Sea Warm Current in the southwestern Taiwan Strait: Evidence from seawater oxygen isotope显示文摘Oxygen isotope(δ^18O)of seawater is an excellent proxy for tracing the origins of water masses and their mixing processes.Combining with hydrographic observation,hybrid coordinate ocean model(HYCOM)analysis data,and seawater oxygen isotope,we investigated the source of the South China Sea Warm Current(SCSWC)in the southwestern Taiwan Strait and its underlying mechanism.Results show that the Kuroshio subsurface water(KSSW)can intrude the continental slope in the southwestern Taiwan Strait,and thereby climb up the continental slope coupled with upwelling.Theδ^18O-salinity relationship further indicates that in spring,the SCSWC in the southwestern Taiwan Strait originates from the upslope deflection of the slope current formed by the KSSW intrusion into the South China Sea,rather than from the west segment of the SCSWC formed to the east of Hainan Island.In addition,the southward flowing Zhe-Min Coastal Current(ZMCC)can reach as far as the Taiwan Bank(TB)and deflects offshore over the western TB at approximately 23.5°N,to some extent affecting the SCSWC.Moreover,this study reveals that seawaterδ^18O is exquisitely sensitive to the determination of the origin and transport of water masses as compared with traditional potential temperature-salinity plot(θ-S)and HYCOM analysis data.In addition,their coupling can more reliably interpret the mixing processes of shelf water masses. | Dongyu CHEN Ergang LIAN Yeqiang SHU Shouye YANG Yalong LI Chao LI Pengfei LIU Ni SU | 2020 | Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,10: | 2 |

| 6 | Lithiophilic Cu-Li_(2)O matrix on a Cu Collector to Stabilize Lithium Deposition for Lithium Metal Batteries显示文摘Lithium metal anode is the most ideal candidate for next-generation energy storage system.However,the uncontrolled dendrite growth,infinite volume expansion,and undesired side reactions lead to serious safety issues and hinder their potential application.Herein,a pre-lithiation strategy is proposed to construct a high-lithiophilic Cu-Li_(2)O matrix on commercial Cu foil.The in situ-generated Li_(2)O promises adequate nucleation sites and strengthens solid electrolyte interphase and lateral lithium deposition.Meanwhile,the existence of 3D matrix reduces the local current density.The synergy effect of Li_(2)O and Cu suppresses the growth of lithium dendrites.As a result,Cu-Li_(2)O matrix reveals an enhanced lithium plating/stripping behavior with Coulombic efficiency of 98.46%after 270 cycles.The symmetrical cell assembled by Li-plated electrodes displays a prolonged lifespan of 1400 h.The work demonstrates a scalable and effective approach for modified current collectors toward stable Li metal anode. | Zhe Gong Cheng Lian Pengfei Wang Kai Huang Kai Zhu Ke Ye Jun Yan Guiling Wang Dianxue Cao | 2022 | Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,4: | 0 |

| 9 | Correlation between serum lipid profiles and cognitive impairment in old age:a cross-sectional study显示文摘Background The correlation between cognitive function and lipid profiles,including total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and triglycerides,is inconsistent.Aims This cross-sectional study investigated the association between serum lipid levels and the prevalence of cognitive impairment among community-dwelling older adults and explored this difference in association by gender and urban-rural residency.Methods Participants aged 65 and above in urban and rural areas were recruited between 2018 and 2020,selected from the Hubei Memory and Aging Cohort Study.Detailed neuropsychological evaluations,clinical examinations and laboratory tests were conducted in community health service centres.Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyse the correlation between serum lipid profiles and the prevalence of cognitive impairment.Results We identified 1336 cognitively impaired adults(≥65 years)-1066 with mild cognitive impairment and 270 with dementia-from 4746 participants.Triglycerides level was correlated with cognitive impairment in the total sample(χ2=6.420,p=0.011).In gender-stratified multivariate analysis,high triglycerides in males reduced the risk of cognitive impairment(OR:0.785,95%CI:0.623 to 0.989,p=0.040),and high LDL-C in females increased the risk of cognitive impairment(OR:1.282,95%CI:1.040 to 1.581,p=0.020).In both gender-stratified and urban-rural stratified multivariate analyses,high triglycerides reduced the risk of cognitive impairment in older urban men(OR:0.734,95%CI:0.551 to 0.977,p=0.034),and high LDL-C increased the risk of cognitive impairment in older rural women(OR:1.830,95%CI:1.119 to 2.991,p=0.016).Conclusions There are gender and urban-rural differences in the correlation of serum lipids with cognitive impairment.High triglycerides levels may be a protective factor for cognitive function in older urban men,while high LDL-C levels may be a risk factor for cognitive function in older rural women. | Yafu Yu Pingting Yan Guirong Cheng Dan Liu Lang Xu Mengliu Yang Heng Xu Xi Cheng Pengfei Lian Yan Zeng | 2023 | General Psychiatry2023,36,2: | 0 |
