| 1 | Chalcogenide glass photonic integration for improved 2μm optical interconnection显示文摘In this work,on-chip chalcogenide glass photonic integrations with several fundamental photonic building blocks are designed and fabricated based on the As2 S3 platform for improved 2μm optical interconnection,achieving a broadened wavelength bandwidth and improved fabrication tolerance.A 600 nm thick As2 S3 strip waveguide has low propagation loss of 1.447 dB/cm at 2μm.Broadband vertical coupling is realized by a grating coupler with 4.3 dB coupling loss.A Bragg grating filter,power splitter,Mach–Zander interferometer,and mode converter for on-chip mode division multiplexing(MDM)are also reported at 2μm with reliable performances.Finally,a record high MDM optical interconnection capacity of 3×80 Gbps at 2μm is experimentally demonstrated based on the proposed As2 S3 chip,drawing promising prospects for future photonic integration and high-speed interconnection at the 2μm waveband. | WEIHONG SHEN PINGYANG ZENG ZELIN YANG DI XIA JIANGBING DU BIN ZHANG KE XU ZUYUAN HE AND ZHAOHUI LI | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,9: | 10 |

| 3 | Puerarin affects bone biomarkers in the serum of rats with intrauterine growth restriction显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate serum bone biomarkers in rats with intrauterine growth restriction(IUGR)in order to determine the effects of puerarin on bone metabolism.METHODS:A rat model of IUGR was induced using a low protein diet during pregnancy.The offspring were given puerarin or an identical volume of saline via subcutaneous abdominal injection.All rats were studied at 1,3,and 8 weeks of age.Serum biomarkers of bone formation,including insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1),bone-specific alkaline phosphatase(BALP),osteocalcin(OC),osteoprotegerin(OPG),receptor-activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand(RANKL),as well as blood levels of calcium and phosphorus were measured.RESULTS:Serum BALP,OPG,IGF-1,and OC levels,as well as the OPG/RANKL ratio,were lower in the IUGR group compared with the control group at 1week of age(P=0.024,0.011,0.014,0.004,and0.002,respectively).At 3 weeks of age,the serum BALP and OC levels were higher in the protein-re-stricted group compared with the control group(P=0.003 and 0.001,respectively).A comparison between the IUGR plus puerarin intervention group and the IUGR group revealed differences in the levels of BALP and IGF-1 at 3 weeks of age(P=0.008 and 0.003,respectively).In addition,serum OPG and OC levels and the OPG/RANKL ratio were higher at 8 weeks of age(P=0.044,0.007,and0.016,respectively).No differences in serum calcium and phosphorus levels were observed among the three groups.CONCLUSION:Our study demonstrates that the bone microenvironment of the fetus can be altered by a low protein maternal diet and that puerarin can reverse these effects.These results indicate that the nutritional environment plays an important role in early skeletal development and that the bone turnover of IUGR rats can be altered by puerarin treatment. | Chen Juncao Chen Pingyang Qi Huaxue Huang Danhong | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,2: | 9 |
| 4 | Toripalimab plus chemotherapy as second-line treatment in previously EGFR-TKI treated patients with EGFR-mutant-advanced NSCLC:a multicenter phase-II trial显示文摘This multicenter phase-II trial aimed to investigate the efficacy,safety,and predictive biomarkers of toripalimab plus chemotherapy as second-line treatment in patients with EGFR-mutant-advanced NSCLC.Patients who failed from first-line EGFR-TKIs and did not harbor T790M mutation were enrolled.Toripalimab plus carboplatin and pemetrexed were administrated every three weeks for up to six cycles,followed by the maintenance of toripalimab and pemetrexed.The primary endpoint was objective-response rate(ORR).Integrated biomarker analysis of PD-L1 expression,tumor mutational burden(TMB),CD8+tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte(TIL)density,whole-exome,and transcriptome sequencing on tumor biopsies were also conducted.Forty patients were enrolled with an overall ORR of 50.0%and disease-control rate(DCR)of 87.5%.The median progression free survival(PFS)and overall survival were 7.0 and 23.5 months,respectively.The most common treatment-related adverse effects were leukopenia,neutropenia,anemia,ALT/AST elevation,and nausea.Biomarker analysis showed that none of PD-L1 expression,TMB level,and CD8+TIL density could serve as a predictive biomarker.Integrated analysis of whole-exome and transcriptome sequencing data revealed that patients with DSPP mutation had a decreased M2 macrophage infiltration and associated with longer PFS than those of wild type.Toripalimab plus chemotherapy showed a promising anti-tumor activity with acceptable safety profiles as the second-line setting in patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC.DSPP mutation might serve as a potential biomarker for this combination.A phase-III trial to compare toripalimab versus placebo in combination with chemotherapy in this setting is ongoing(NCT03924050). | Tao Jiang Pingyang Wang Jie Zhang Yanqiu Zhao Jianying Zhou Yun Fan Yongqian Shu Xiaoqing Liu Helong Zhang Jianxing He Guanghui Gao Xiaoqian Mu Zhang Bao Yanjun Xu Renhua Guo Hong Wang Lin Deng Ningqiang Ma Yalei Zhang Hui Feng Sheng Yao Jiarui Wu Luonan Chen Caicun Zhou Shengxiang Ren | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,11: | 8 |
| 5 | Microstructure,Textures and Deformation Behaviors of Fine-grained Magnesium Alloy AZ31显示文摘Channel die compression and initial textures are used to activate different deformation mechanisms in a fine-grained magnesium alloy AZ31. The σ-ε curves, microstructures and, particularly, textures are analyzed to reveal different deformation mechanisms and to compare with those of coarse grained samples. Dominant double-prismatic slip,{1012} twinning and basal slip are detected in three types of samples, respectively, which is similar to those of coarse grained samples. The detrimental effect of shear band formation or {1011} twinning is limited in fine grained microstructure. In addition to the higher flow stress at low temperature an early decrease in flow stress at higher temperature is also found in fine-grained samples in comparison with their coarse-grained counterparts. | 6 | On-chip chalcogenide microresonators with low-threshold parametric oscillation显示文摘Chalcogenide glass (ChG) is an attractive material for highly efficient nonlinear photonics,which can cover an ultrabroadband wavelength window from the near-visible to the footprint infrared region. However,it remains a challenge to implement highly-efficient and low-threshold optical parametric processes in chip-scale ChG devices due to thermal and light-induced instabilities as well as a high-loss factor in ChG films. Here,we develop a systematic fabrication process for high-performance photonic-chip-integrated ChG devices,by which planarintegrated ChG microresonators with an intrinsic quality (Q) factor above 1 million are demonstrated. In particular,an in situ light-induced annealing method is introduced to overcome the longstanding instability underlying ChG film. In high-Q ChG microresonators,optical parametric oscillations with threshold power as low as 5.4 mW are demonstrated for the first time,to our best knowledge. | 7 | Subduction channel fluid-rock interaction:Indications from rutile-quartz veins within eclogite from the Yuka terrane,North Qaidam orogen显示文摘High-pressure(HP)or ultrahigh-pressure(UHP)rutile-quartz veins that form at mantle depths due to fluid-rock interaction can be used to trace the properties and behavior of natural fluids in subduction zones.To explore the fluid flow and the associated element mobility during deep subduction and exhumation of the continental crust,we investigated the major and trace elements of Ti-rich minerals.Additionally,U–Pb dating,trace element contents,and Lu–Hf isotopic composition of zircon grains in the UHP eclogite and associated rutile-quartz veins were examined in the North Qaidam UHP metamorphic belt,Yuka terrane.The zircon grains in the rutile-quartz veins have unzoned or weak oscillatory zonings,and show low Th/U ratios,steep chondrite-normalized patterns of heavy rare earth elements(HREEs),and insignificant negative Eu anomalies,indicating their growth in metamorphic fluids.These zircon grains formed in 4313 Ma,which is consistent with the 4322 Ma age of the host eclogite.As for the zircons in the rutile-quartz veins,they showed steep HREE patterns on one hand,and were different from the zircons present in the host eclogite on the other.This demonstrates that their formation might have been related to the breakdown of the early stage of garnet,which corresponds to the abundance of fluids during the early exhumation stage.The core-rim profile analyses of rutile recorded a two-stage rutile growth across a large rutile grain;the rutile core has higher Nb,Ta,W,and Zr contents and lower Nb/Ta ratios than the rim,indicating that the rutile domains grew in different metamorphic fluids from the core towards the rim.The significant enrichment of high field strength elements(HFSEs)in the rutile core suggests that the peak fluids have high solubility and transportation capacity of these HFSEs.Furthermore,variations in the Nb vs.Cr trends in rutile indicate a connection of rutile to mafic protolith.The zircon grains from both the rutile-quartz veins and the host eclogite have similar Hf isotopic compositions,indicating that the vein-forming fluids are internally derived from the host eclogite.These fluids accumulated in the subduction channel and were triggered by local dehydration of the deeply subducted eclogite during the early exhumation conditions. | Xin Chen Youye Zheng Rongke Xu Pingyang Gu Jiyuan Yu Jie Bai Pengjie Cai Xiaojia Jiang | 2020 | Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,2: | 3 |
| 8 | Growth inhibition and oxidative damage of Microcystis aeruginosa induced by crude extract of Sagittaria trifolia tubers显示文摘Aquatic macrophytes are considered to be promising in controlling harmful cyanobacterial blooms. In this research, an aqueous extract of Sagittaria trifolia tubers was prepared to study its inhibitory effect on Microcystis aeruginosa in the laboratory. Several physiological indices of M. aeruginosa, in response to the environmental stress, were analyzed. Results showed that S. trifolia tuber aqueous extract significantly inhibited the growth of M. aeruginosa in a concentration-dependent way. The highest inhibition rate reached 90% after 6 day treatment. The Chlorophyll-a concentration of M. aeruginosa cells decreased from 343.1 to314.2 μg/L in the treatment group. The activities of superoxide dismutase and peroxidase and the content of reduced glutathione in M. aeruginosa cells initially increased as a response to the oxidative stress posed by S. trifolia tuber aqueous extract, but then decreased as time prolonged. The lipid peroxidation damage of the cyanobacterial cell membranes was reflected by the malondialdehyde level, which was notably higher in the treatment group compared with the controls. | 19 | Radiocarbon isotope technique as a powerful tool in tracking anthropogenic emissions of carbonaceous air pollutants and greenhouse gases:A review显示文摘Air pollution and climate change are two important threats facing in our planet and are tightly linked to carbonaceous components in the atmosphere.A better understanding of the emission sources and environmental fate/sink of carbonaceous components is critical for improving our knowledge of the global carbon cycle and mitigating the negative environmental impacts of air pollution and climate change on human well-being.Radiocarbon(^(14)C),which is decayed completely in fossil fuel(e.g.coal and petroleum),is an ideal tool for quantifying the carbon flow in various carbon reservoirs.This study reviews the current knowledge of 14C in organic carbon(OC),elemental carbon(EC),individual organic compounds,methane(CH_(4)),carbon dioxide(CO_(2)),annual plants,and tree rings.The impacts of fossil and non-fossil sources on the atmosphere can be quantified by measuring^(14)C.We also report on the influence of nuclear power plants and sea-air gas exchange on the abundance of^(14)C in the atmosphere.The increasing fossil fuel emissions indicated by the depletion of^(14)CO_(2)under IPCC RCP scenarios,support the urgent need to devise ambitious strategies of reducing carbonaceous components to achieve sustainable development on Earth.This review summarizes the challenges and perspectives of 14C studies of the atmosphere. | Gan Zhang Junwen Liu Jing Li Pingyang Li Nannan Wei Buqing Xu | 2021 | Fundamental Research2021,1,3: | 1 |
