| 1 | A refined coherent point drift(CPD)algorithm for point set registration显示文摘The coherent point drift (CPD) algorithm is a powerful approach for point set registration. However, it suffers from a serious problem-there is a weight parameter w that reflects the assumption about the amount of noise and number of outliers in the Gaussian mixture model, and its value has an influence on the point set registration performance In the original CPD algorithm, the value of w is set manually, and hence an improper value will lead to poor registration results. To solve this problem, a fully automatic algorithm for the selection of an optimal weight parameter is proposed using a hybrid optimization scheme that combines the genetic algorithm with the Nelder-Mead simplex method. | 3 | Implementation of an efficient segregated algorithm-IDEAL on 3D collocated grid system显示文摘The segregated algorithm-IDEAL (inner doubly-iterative efficient algorithm for linked-equations) is an efficient and stable algorithm. In this algorithm, there exist inner doubly-iterative processes for pres-sure equation, which almost completely overcome two approximations in SIMPLE algorithm. Thus the coupling between velocity and pressure is fully guaranteed, greatly enhancing the convergence rate and stability of iteration process. In this paper, implementation of the IDEAL algorithm on a 3D collo-cated grid system is conducted. The interface velocity is calculated by the modified momentum inter-polation method (MMIM), by which the converged result is independent of the under-relaxation factor. Finally, five three-dimensional incompressible fluid flow and heat transfer problems are provided to compare the convergence rate and robustness between the IDEAL and three other most widely-used algorithms (SIMPLER, SIMPLEC and PISO). | 4 | Reactive mesoporous silica nanoparticles loaded with limonene for improving physical and mental health of mice at simulated microgravity condition显示文摘Astronauts are under high stress for a long time because of the microgravity condition,which leads to anxiety,affects their learning and memory abilities,and seriously impairs the health of astronauts.Aromatherapy can improve the physical and mental health of astronauts in a way that moisturizes them softly and silently.However,the strong volatility of fragrances and inconvenience of aroma treatment greatly limit their application in the field of spaceflight.In this study,reactive mesoporous silica nanoparticles were prepared to encapsulate and slowly release limonene.The limonene loaded nanoparticles were named limonene@mesoporous silica nanoparticles-cyanuric chloride(LE@MSNs-CYC).LE@MSNs-CYC were then applied to wallpaper to improve the convenience of aromatherapy.LE@MSNs-CYC could chemically react with the wallpaper,thus firmly adsorbed on the wallpaper.In the following,the mice were treated with hindlimb unloading(HU)to simulate a microgravity environment.The results showed that 28-day HU led to an increase in the level of anxiety and declines in learning,memory,and physical health in mice.LE@MSNs-CYC showed significant relief effects on anxiety,learning,memory,and physical health of HU treated mice.Subsequently,the molecular mechanisms were explored by hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis related hormones,immune-related cytokines,learning,and memory-related neurotransmitters and proteins. | Zhiguo Lu Jianze Wang Lina Qu Guanghan Kan Tianlu Zhang Jie Shen Yan Li Jun Yang Yunwei Niu Zuobing Xiao Yinghui Li Xin Zhang | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,4: | 5 |
| 5 | Review of Molecular Simulation Method for Gas Adsorption/desorption and Diffusion in Shale Matrix显示文摘Shale gas is becoming an increasingly promising alternative energy resource because of its high efficiency and environment-friendly characteristic. The amount of adsorbed gas on the shale matrix surfaces and dissolved gas in the shale matrix bulk is the dominant factor in the long-term productivity of shale reservoir. Although experimental measurements have been extensively carried out to investigate the gas adsorption and diffusion properties in the shale matrix, they cannot provide the detailed information on the microscopic transport mechanism of shale gas during the gas production process. Molecular simulation can accurately visualize the gas adsorption/desorption and diffusion processes in the shale matrix. In the present study, the recent research advances of molecular simulation on gas adsorption/desorption and diffusion in the shale matrix are reviewed. Firstly, the density functional theory(DFT) for shale gas molecule desorption/adsorption on the surface of the matrix crystal is illustrated. Then, the grand canonical Monte Carlo(GCMC) method predicting the amount of shale gas desorption/adsorption in the shale matrix crystal is introduced. Finally, molecular dynamics simulation(MD) for gas diffusion in the shale matrix is elucidated. | 20 | Identifying the dominant transport mechanism in single nanoscale pores and 3D nanoporous media显示文摘Gas transport mechanisms can be categorized into viscous flow and mass diffusion,both of which may coexist in a porous media with multiscale pore sizes.To determine the dominant transport mechanism and its contribution to gas transport capacity,the gas viscous flow and mass diffusion processes are analyzed in single nanoscale pores via a theoretical method,and are simulated in 3D nanoporous media via pore-scale lattice Boltzmann methods.The apparent permeability from the viscous flow and apparent diffusivity from the mass diffusion are estimated.A dimensionless parameter,i.e.,the diffusion-flow ratio,is proposed to evaluate the dominant transport mechanism,which is a function of the apparent permeability,apparent diffusivity,bulk dynamic viscosity,and working pressure.The results show that the apparent permeability increases by approximately two orders of magnitude when the average Knudsen number(Kn_(avg))of the nanoporous media or Knudsen number(Kn)of single nanoscale pores increases from 0.1 to 10.Under the same conditions,the increment in the apparent diffusivity is only approximately one order of magnitude.When Kn<0.01,the apparent permeability has a lower bound(i.e.,absolute permeability).When Kn>10,the apparent diffusivity has an upper bound(i.e.,Knudsen diffusivity).The dominant transport mechanism in single nanoscale pores is the viscous flow for 0.01 | Ying Yin Zhiguo Qu Masa Prodanovic Christopher J.Landry | 2023 | Fundamental Research2023,3,3: | 1 |
