1The remote sensing inversion theory of offshore oil slick thickness based on a two-beam interference model显示文摘Offshore oil slicks are significant for both the monitoring of marine spill accidents and the detection of marine oil resources.The use of remote sensing technology to detect the thickness of oil slicks is a major area of research.The reflected light from oil slicks changes with the thickness of the oil.This is the theoretical basis of research on optical remote sensing of offshore oil slicks.A two-beam interference model that considers the offshore oil slick as a flat plate has been developed in this study.A quantitative remote sensing model which describes a series of processes that use oil slick thickness and reflectance as variables is established.The use of the Fresnel equation to analyze parameters in the model indicated that the key property of the quantitative relationship between the oil slick thickness and reflectance was ultimately the disappearance or extinction of the oil slick.This model has been tested and verified by data from offshore oil slick spectral response experiments.Results showed that the oil slick thickness remote sensing model can be theoretically analyzed and is efficient.The research indicated that the major cause of variations in the spectral response as a function of oil slick thickness was the different light-scattering characteristics.These characteristics can be used in remote sensing applications to identify the different types of offshore oil slicks.The theoretical interpretation of each parameter in this model led to the development of a look-up table of the model parameters which will improve the efficiency of future offshore oil slick remote sensing.LU YingCheng TIAN QingJiu LI Xiang 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,5:10

3A feasibility study on diag-nosing wheat water status using spectral reflectance显示文摘A total of 110 wheat leaf samples were collected in the field and their spectral reflectances were measured with a spectroradiometer in laboratory. After a spectral normalizing technique, the spectral absorption feature parameters such as the absorption depth and area, were extracted from each leaf spectrum. The relative water content (RWC) was measured for samples. The experimental results indicated that the spectral absorption depth and area of wheat leaves at 1 450 nm were correlated with their RWC. So we can diagnose wheat water status by using their spectral reflectances. 4Experimental study on spectral responses of offshore oil slick显示文摘Using the seawater taken from Liaodong Bay and crude oil taken from Liaohe Oilfield,a laboratory experiment was designed to study the change of reflectance spectrum of artificial offshore oil slick with its thickness and to identify the spectrum ranges suitable for quantifying the thickness of the oil slick.During the experiment,crude oil was continuously dropped into the seawater to generate artificial oil slick with different thicknesses.After every drop of crude oil was added,reflectance spectrum of the oil slick was measured with a high resolution spectroradiometer(ASD FieldSpec Pro FR).The influence of oil slick thickness on its reflectance spectrum was explored through statistical analysis.The results show that the reflectance of oil slick changes marginally with oil slick thickness and higher than that of seawater in infrared band from 1150 to 2500 nm.This spectrum range can be practically used to distinguish oil slick from seawater.In the spectrum range from 400 to 1150 nm,the reflectance of oil slick decreases with its thickness.The negative power function is the best-fit function expressing the relationship between the reflectance and thickness.The spectral characteristics of oil slick are very distinct at 550 and 645 nm.They are the best wavelengths for monitoring the existence of offshore oil slick and estimating its thickness.LU YingCheng TIAN QingJiu WANG JingJing WANG XiangCheng QI XiaoPing 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,24:6
5Flavone Content and Bioactivity of Aqueous-Ethanolic Extracts of Phellinus Fruit Bodies显示文摘The flavone content of aqueous ethanolic extracts of Phellinus fruit bodies obtained from seven different locations was determined.Anti-tumor and antioxidant activities associated with the extracts were investigated in vitro using the Alamar Blue assay and a chemiluminecence-based method,respectively.Extracts of the seven Phellinus samples generated very similar HPLC profiles in qualitative terms although the areas of several peaks varied according to the sample type indicating quantitative differences in the case of some components.All the extracts,especially those of artificially cultivated Phellinus baumii fruit bodies,inhibited L1210 tumor cell proliferation and exhibited superoxide radical scavenging activity although there was no obvious correlation with flavone content.HAO Ruixia ZHOU Shuai YANG Yan XI Junzhe LI Weiyao TANG Qingjiu WANG Chenguang 2008食用菌学报2008,15,2:6
6Frequency-specific abnormalities in regional homogeneity among children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder: a resting-state f MRI study显示文摘Although many functional magnetic resonance imaging(f MRI) studies have investigated the neurophysiology of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD),the existing studies have not yielded consistent findings.This may be related to the different properties of different frequency bands. To investigate the frequency-specific regional homogeneity(Re Ho) of spontaneous neural activities in ADHD, the current study used resting-state f MRI to explore the Re Ho properties of five frequency bands, slow-5(0.01–0.027 Hz), slow-4(0.027–0.073 Hz),slow-3(0.073–0.198 Hz), slow-2(0.198–0.25 Hz) and the extra-low frequency(0–0.01 Hz), in 30 drug-naive boys with ADHD and 30 healthy controls. Compared with controls, the ADHD group showed decreased Re Ho in the default mode network(DMN) including the medial prefrontal cortex and precuneus, middle frontal gyrus and angular gyrus. ADHD patients also showed increased Re Ho in the posterior cerebellum. Significant interactions between frequency band and group were observed predominantly in the dorsolateral prefrontal and parietal cortices, orbital frontal cortex, supplementary motor area,inferior occipital gyrus, thalamus and anterior cerebellum.In particular, we found that the between-group difference in the extra-low frequency band(0–0.01 Hz) seemed to be greater than that in the other frequency bands for most brain regions. 7Summertime temperature variations in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River and their related circulation anomalies in the past five decades显示文摘Using the daily data of temperature from China Meteorological Administration and the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis from 1960 to 2005, we have analyzed the relationships between the summertime high/low temperature events in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River (MLRYR) and the related circulation anomalies in the Eastern Hemisphere. Our results have demonstrated that a significantly increasing trend is observed in daily minimum temperature in the past 50 years. And in some regions in the Northern Hemisphere, the opposite scenarios are observed in circulation anomalies in lower and upper parts of the troposphere in the years when the temperatures are higher than normal, as compared to those in the years when the temperatures are lower than normal in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River (MLRYR). Additionally, the anomalous circulation structure in vertical direction in both the high and lower temperature years are barotropic. It is found that the emergence and maintenance of the aforementioned anomalous circulations are related to three kinds of wave train teleconnection patterns. Further more, influences of the long wave surface radiation on the air temperature are stronger in the nighttime than that in the daytime. While both the maximum and minimum temperatures have negative relationships with the sensible heat flux but positive relationships with the latent heat flux. 8Isolation,Purification and Immunomodifying Activity of Polysaccharides from Phellinus igniarius显示文摘Phellinus igniarius polysaccharides were obtained by hot water extraction of mushroom fruit bodies followed by ethanol precipitation,and further purified by anion exchange and gel filtration chromatography.Immuno-enhancing activity was evaluated by determining the effect of different polysaccharide fractions on mouse spleen lymphocyte proliferation in vitro.Three crude polysaccharide preparations,designated PIP30,PIP60 and PIP80 according to the percentage concentration of ethanol required for precipitation from hot aqueous extracts,promoted lymphocyte proliferation to varying degrees.Purification of polysaccharide present in PIP30 and PIP60 was carried out using anion exchange chromatography.Proliferation rates in samples treated with 200 μg/mL of fractions P30U,P30W and P30S1(obtained following anion exchange chromatography of PIP30) were approximately 5-,4-,and 3.5-fold higher,respectively compared with negative controls.Similarly,marked increases(3.4-and 2.8-fold) in cell proliferation rates compared with negative controls were observed with 200 μg/mL concentrations of P60W and P60S2(obtained following anion exchange chromatography of PIP60),respectively.Two purified polysaccharide preparations,P60W1-1 and P60S1-1,were obtained following gel filtation chromatography of fractions P60W1 and P0S1,respectively.Fraction P60W1-1(10-100 g/mL) enhanced splenocyte proliferation 0.5-1.4-fold compared with negative controls,whereas no effects were observed with P60S1-1.SHEN Xuexiang YANG Yan ZHANG Jinsong TANG Qingjiu JIA Wei 2008食用菌学报2008,15,2:2
9Determining oil slick thickness using hyperspectral remote sensing in the Bohai Sea of China显示文摘Determining oil slick thickness plays an important role in assessing oil spill volume and its environmental impacts on the ocean.In this study,we used a Hyperion image of an oil spill accident area and seawater and fresh crude oil samples collected in the Bohai Sea of China.A well-controlled laboratory experiment was designed to simulate spectral responses to different oil slick thicknesses.Spectral resampling and normalization methods were used to reduce the differences in spectral reflectances between the experimental background seawater sample and real background seawater.Fitting the analysis with laboratory experimental data results showed a linear relationship between normalized oil slick reflectance and normalized oil slick thickness[20th band(R^(2)-0.92938,n=49,pB0.01),26th band(R^(2)=0.93806,n=49,pB0.01),29th band(R^(2)=0.93288,n=49,pB0.01)].By using these statistical models,we successfully determined the normalized oil slick thickness with the Hyperion image.Our results indicate that hyperspectral remote sensing technology is an effective method to monitor oil spills on water.The spectral ranges of visible green and red light were the optimal bands for estimating oil slick thickness in case 2 water.The high,stabilized spectral reflectance of background seawater will be helpful in oil slick thickness inversion.Yingcheng Lu Qingjiu Tian Xinyuan Wang Guang Zheng Xiang Li 2013International Journal of Digital Earth2013,6,1:2
