| 3 | A PRIVACY-PRESERVING AUTHENTICATION SCHEME USING BIOMETRICS FOR PERVASIVE COMPUTING ENVIRONMENTS显示文摘In pervasive computing environments,users can get services anytime and anywhere,but the ubiquity and mobility of the environments bring new security challenges.The user and the service provider do not know each other in advance,they should mutually authenticate each other.The service provider prefers to authenticate the user based on his identity while the user tends to stay anonymous.Privacy and security are two important but seemingly contradictory objectives.As a result,a user prefers not to expose any sensitive information to the service provider such as his physical location,ID and so on when being authenticated.In this paper,a highly flexible mutual authentication and key establishment protocol scheme based on biometric encryption and Diffie-Hellman key exchange to secure interactions between a user and a service provider is proposed.Not only can a user's anonymous authentication be achieved,but also the public key cryptography operations can be reduced by adopting this scheme.Different access control policies for different services are enabled by using biometric encryption technique.The correctness of the proposed authentication and key establishment protocol is formally verified based on SVO logic. | Yao Lin Kong Xiangwei Wu Guowei Fan Qingna Lin Chi | 2010 | Journal of Electronics(China)2010,27,1: | 1 |

| 8 | Effectiveness of acupoint application of Xiaozhong Zhitong Tie on diarrhea in patients:a retrospective cohort study in China显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To provide the evidence for the efficacy of acupoint application(AA)for patients with diarrhea in a real-world setting.METHODS:This study is a national multicenter retrospective cohort study.Our study consecutively collected outpatient medical records of patients with diarrhea from hundreds of primary hospitals nationwide registered in Chun Bo Wan Xiang cloud platform from 22nd August,2020 to 5th November,2020.The patients were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to patient's condition and willingness.The control group was treated with Western Medicine,oral Chinese Medicine decoction,or both.The treatment group was added with AA based on the control group.Multiple logistic regression was used to evaluate the independent efficacy of AA in diarrheal recovery on the 3rd,7th,14th and 28th day.As a next step,we also performed stratified analysis and likelihood ratio test(LRT).Sensitivity analyses included propensity score matching(PSM),four PSM-related analyses and E-value.RESULTS:The treatment group showed better efficacy than the control group on the 14th and 28th day[the 14th day:OR=1.58,95%CI(1.15,2.19),P=0.005;the 28th day:OR=2.03,95%CI(1.43,2.88),P<0.001].No difference was observed in efficacy of AA for the treatment of diarrhea among the subgroups(P>0.05).PSM-related analyses confirmed the efficacy of AA in diarrheal recovery.The findings are unlikely to be nullified by an unmeasured confounding variable according to the results of E-values.CONCLUSIONS:The efficacy in the treatment group was significantly more improved than that in the control group on the 14th and 28th day. | SHENG Song ZHANG Yanhong GAO Hongyang MA Hangkun HUANG Ye LI Qingna GAO Rui XU Fengqin | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,4: | 0 |

| 11 | Deep-ultraviolet photonics for the disinfection of SARS-CoV-2 and its variants(Delta and Omicron)in the cryogenic environment显示文摘Deep-ultraviolet(DUV)disinfection technology provides an expeditious and efficient way to suppress the transmission of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,the influences of viral variants(Delta and Omicron)and low temperatures on the DUV virucidal efficacy are still unknown.Here,we developed a reliable and uniform planar light source comprised of 275-nm light-emitting diodes(LEDs)to investigate the effects of these two unknown factors and delineated the principle behind different disinfection performances.We found the lethal effect of DUV at the same radiation dose was reduced by the cryogenic environment,and a negative-U large-relaxation model was used to explain the difference in view of the photoelectronic nature.The chances were higher in the cryogenic environment for the capture of excited electrons within active genetic molecules back to the initial photo-ionised positions.Additionally,the variant of Omicron required a significantly higher DUV dose to achieve the same virucidal efficacy,and this was thanks to the genetic and proteinic characteristics of the Omicron.The findings in this study are important for human society using DUV disinfection in cold conditions(e.g.,the food cold chain logistics and the open air in winter),and the relevant DUV disinfection suggestion against COVID-19 is provided. | Wenyu Kang Jing Zheng Jiaxin Huang Lina Jiang Qingna Wang Zhinan Guo Jun Yin Xianming Deng Ye Wang Junyong Kang | 2023 | Opto-Electronic Advances2023,6,9: | 0 |
