| 1 | Reproductive management through integration of PGD and MPS-based noninvasive prenatal screening/diagnosis for a family with GJB2-associated hearing impairment显示文摘A couple with a proband child of GJB2(encoding the gap junction protein connexin 26)-associated hearing impairment and a previous pregnancy miscarriage sought for a reproductive solution to bear a healthy child. Our study aimed to develop a customized preconception-to-neonate care trajectory to fulfill this clinical demand by integrating preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD), noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT), and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis(NIPD) into the strategy. Auditory and genetic diagnosis of the proband child was carried out to identify the disease causative mutations. The couple then received in-vitro-fertilization treatment, and eight embryos were obtained for day 5 biopsy. PGD was performed by short-tandem-repeat linkage analysis and Sanger sequencing of GJB2 gene. Transfer of a GJB2 c.235del C heterozygous embryo resulted in a singleton pregnancy. At the 13 th week of gestation, genomic DNA(g DNA) from the trio family and cell-free DNA(cf DNA) from maternal plasma were obtained for assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2 mutations. NIPT and NIPD showed the absence of chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2-associated disease in the fetus, which was later confirmed by invasive procedures and postnatal genetic/auditory diagnosis. | 7 | Surface currents measured by GPS drifters in Daya Bay and along the eastern Guangdong coast显示文摘GPS-based surface drifters were used to investigate the surface currents in Daya Bay and along the eastern Guangdong coast in China.Surface current vectors were measured based on the GPS location and corresponding time information sent by drifters through the mobile phone network.The analysis of data from 120 drifters,deployed in late spring 2018 in the case-study region,shows that the drifters are generally capable of capturing the surface(tidal and residual)currents.The drifter trajectories suggest an anticlockwise surface current inside Daya Bay and a north-eastward current along the eastern Guangdong coast,where the coastal current along the eastern Guangdong coast is faster than that inside Daya Bay.The surface currents in the investigated region follow an irregular semidiurnal cycle due to the influence of the tidal current,while the currents inside Daya Bay are strongly affected by the topography.According to the harmonic analysis,an irregular semidiurnal type of tidal current is evident at a study grid inside Daya Bay,with an Eulerian residual current speed of 9.0 cm/s and a direction of 276°.The Lagrangian residual current outside Daya Bay moves north-eastward with a mean speed of 22 cm/s along the eastern Guangdong coast,while the current inside Daya Bay moves northward to the bay head with a mean speed of about 8.0 cm/s,which agrees well with the one reported in other literatures. | Yang GAO Yongxiang HUANG Hongyang LIN Zhenyu SUN Jia ZHU Jianyu HU | 2020 | Frontiers of Earth Science2020,14,2: | 1 |

| 9 | Effectiveness of acupoint application of Xiaozhong Zhitong Tie on diarrhea in patients:a retrospective cohort study in China显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To provide the evidence for the efficacy of acupoint application(AA)for patients with diarrhea in a real-world setting.METHODS:This study is a national multicenter retrospective cohort study.Our study consecutively collected outpatient medical records of patients with diarrhea from hundreds of primary hospitals nationwide registered in Chun Bo Wan Xiang cloud platform from 22nd August,2020 to 5th November,2020.The patients were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to patient's condition and willingness.The control group was treated with Western Medicine,oral Chinese Medicine decoction,or both.The treatment group was added with AA based on the control group.Multiple logistic regression was used to evaluate the independent efficacy of AA in diarrheal recovery on the 3rd,7th,14th and 28th day.As a next step,we also performed stratified analysis and likelihood ratio test(LRT).Sensitivity analyses included propensity score matching(PSM),four PSM-related analyses and E-value.RESULTS:The treatment group showed better efficacy than the control group on the 14th and 28th day[the 14th day:OR=1.58,95%CI(1.15,2.19),P=0.005;the 28th day:OR=2.03,95%CI(1.43,2.88),P<0.001].No difference was observed in efficacy of AA for the treatment of diarrhea among the subgroups(P>0.05).PSM-related analyses confirmed the efficacy of AA in diarrheal recovery.The findings are unlikely to be nullified by an unmeasured confounding variable according to the results of E-values.CONCLUSIONS:The efficacy in the treatment group was significantly more improved than that in the control group on the 14th and 28th day. | SHENG Song ZHANG Yanhong GAO Hongyang MA Hangkun HUANG Ye LI Qingna GAO Rui XU Fengqin | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,4: | 0 |
| 10 | Creation of Sn_(x)Nb_(1−x)O_(2) solid solution through heavy Nb-doping in SnO_(2) to boost its photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction to C_(2+) products under simulated solar illumination显示文摘Photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction driven by green solar energy could be a promising approach for the carbon neutral practice.In this work,a novel defect engineering approach was developed to form the Sn_(x)Nb_(1-x)O_(2)solid solution by the heavy substitutional Nb-doping of SnO_(2)through a robust hydrothermal process.The detailed analysis demonstrated that the heavy substitution of Sn^(4+)by a higher valence Nb^(5+)created a more suitable band structure,a better photogenerated charge carrier separation and transfer,and stronger CO_(2)adsorption due to the presence of abundant acid centers and excess electrons on its surface.Thus,the Sn_(x)Nb_(1-x)O_(2)solid solution sample demonstrated a much better photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction performance compared to the pristine SnO_(2)sample without the need for sacrificial agent.Its photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction efficiency reached~292.47μmol/(g·h),which was 19 times that of the pristine SnO_(2)sample.Furthermore,its main photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction product was a more preferred multi-carbon(C_(2+))compound of C_(2)H_(5)OH,while that of the pristine SnO_(2)sample was a one-carbon(C1)compound of CH_(3)OH.This work demonstrated that,the heavy doping of high valence cations in metal oxides to form solid solution may enhance the photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction and modulate its reduction process,to produce more C_(2+)products.This material design strategy could be readily applied to various material systems for the exploration of high-performance photocatalysts for the solar-driven CO_(2)reduction. | Shuang GAO Haitao GUAN Hongyang WANG Xinhe YANG Weiyi YANG Qi LI | 2022 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,9: | 0 |
| 11 | De novo transcriptome assembly and metabolomic analysis of three tissue types in Cinnamomum cassia显示文摘Objective:The barks,leaves,and branches of Cinnamomum cassia have been historically used as a traditional Chinese medicine,spice,and food preservative,in which phenylpropanoids are responsible compounds.However phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathways are not clear in C.cassia.We elucidated the pathways by descriptive analyses of differentially expressed genes related to phenylpropanoid biosynthesis as well as to identify various phenylpropanoid metabolites.Methods:Chemical analysis,metabolome sequencing,and transcriptome sequencing were performed to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the difference of active components content in the barks,branches and leaves of C.cassia.Results:Metabolomic analysis revealed that small amounts of flavonoids,coumarine,and cinnamaldehyde accumulated in both leaves and branches.Transcriptome analysis showed that genes associated with phenylpropanoid and flavonoid biosynthesis were downregulated in the leaves and branches relative to the barks.The observed differences in essential oil content among the three tissues may be attributable to the differential expression of genes involved in the phenylpropanoid and flavonoid metabolic pathways.Conclusion:This study identified the key genes in the phenylpropanoid pathway controling the flavonoid,coumarine,and cinnamaldehyde contents in the barks,branches and leaves by comparing the transcriptome and metabolome.These findings may be valuable in assessing phenylpropanoid and flavonoid metabolites and identifying specific candidate genes that are related to the synthesis of phenylpropanoids and flavonoids in C.cassia. | Hongyang Gao Huiju Zhang Yuqing Hu Danyun Xu Sikai Zheng Shuting Su Quan Yang | 2023 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2023,15,2: | 0 |
| 12 | Adversarial Neural Collaborative Filtering with Embedding Dimension Correlations显示文摘Recently,convolutional neural networks(CNNs)have achieved excellent performance for the recommendation system by extracting deep features and building collaborative filtering models.However,CNNs have been verified susceptible to adversarial examples.This is because adversarial samples are subtle non-random disturbances,which indicates that machine learning models produce incorrect outputs.Therefore,we propose a novel model of Adversarial Neural Collaborative Filtering with Embedding Dimension Correlations,named ANCF in short,to address the adversarial problem of CNN-based recommendation system.In particular,the proposed ANCF model adopts the matrix factorization to train the adversarial personalized ranking in the prediction layer.This is because matrix factorization supposes that the linear interaction of the latent factors,which are captured between the user and the item,can describe the observable feedback,thus the proposed ANCF model can learn more complicated representation of their latent factors to improve the performance of recommendation.In addition,the ANCF model utilizes the outer product instead of the inner product or concatenation to learn explicitly pairwise embedding dimensional correlations and obtain the interaction map from which CNNs can utilize its strengths to learn high-order correlations.As a result,the proposed ANCF model can improve the robustness performance by the adversarial personalized ranking,and obtain more information by encoding correlations between different embedding layers.Experimental results carried out on three public datasets demonstrate that the ANCF model outperforms other existing recommendation models. | Yi Gao Jianxia Chen Liang Xiao Hongyang Wang Liwei Pan Xuan Wen Zhiwei Ye Xinyun Wu | 2023 | Data Intelligence2023,5,3: | 0 |
| 13 | LncRNA ZFAS1 regulates cardiomyocyte differentiation of human embryonic stem cells显示文摘Background:Cardiomyocytes derived from human embryonic stem cells(hESCs)are regulated by complex and stringent gene networks during differentiation.Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)exert critical epigenetic regulatory functions in multiple differentiation processes.However,the involvement of lncRNAs in the differentiation of hESCs into cardiomyocytes has not yet been fully elucidated.Here,we identified the key roles of ZFAS1(lncRNA zinc finger antisense 1)in the differentiation of cardiomyocytes from hESCs.Methods:A model of cardiomyocyte differentiation from stem cells was established using the monolayer differentiation method,and the number of beating hESCs-derived cardiomyocytes was calculated.Gene expression was analyzed by quantitative real-time PCR(qRTPCR).Immunofluorescence assays were performed to assess the expression of cardiac troponin T(cTnT)andα-actinin protein in cardiomyocytes.Results:qRT-PCR showed that ZFAS1 expression in the mesoderm was significantly higher than that in embryonic stem cells,cardiac progenitor cells,and cardiomyocytes.Knockdown of ZFAS1 inhibited cardiomyocyte differentiation from hESCs,which was characterized by reduced expression of the cardiac-specific markers cTnT,α-actinin,myosin heavy chain 6(MYH6),and myosin heavy chain 7(MYH7).In contrast,ZFAS1 overexpression remarkably increased the percentage of spontaneously beating cardiomyocytes.In terms of the mechanism,we found that ZFAS1 is an antisense lncRNA at the 5′end of the protein-coding gene ZNFX1.Knockdown of ZFAS1 could increase the mRNA expression level of ZNFX1.Furthermore,qRT-PCR demonstrated that the silencing of ZNFX1 led to an increase in cardiac-specific markers that predicted the promotion of cardiomyocyte differentiation.Conclusion:Altogether,these data suggest that lncRNA-ZFAS1 is required for cardiac differentiation by functionally inhibiting the expression of ZNFX1,which may provide a reference for the treatment of heart disease to a certain extent. | YANG CAO YINING LIU YANG YU XIAOFEI GUO XIUXIU WANG WENYA MA HANJING LI ZHONGYU REN XINLU GAO SIJIA LI HAOYU JI HONGYANG CHEN HONG YAN YANAN TIAN XIN WANG BENZHI CAI | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,6: | 0 |
| 14 | The continental hydrothermal sedimentary origin of the Dashui superlarge gold deposit in Gansu Province, China显示文摘THE Dashui gold mine, situated in Gansu Province of western China, is a superlarge gold deposit newlydiscovered in western Qinling erogenic belt, hosted within the Permian-Triassic limestones and dolomites,as well as Jurassic conglomerates. It has been termed Carlin-type and hot spring-type gold ore, yet its origin is enigmatic. It is characterized by the formation of sedimentary and replacement bodies of hematite-hydrothermalsiliceous rocks above and adjacent to orebodies. The orebodies themselves exhibit a variety of geometries,such as funnels, pipes, sack-like, tabular zones parallel to bedding. NWW-EW striking, nearly SNstriking and NEE-NE striking faults control the ore-fluid passages. The orebody sites and shapes arelargely controlled by the intersection of such different strike faults. The ore mineral assemblage is characteristically gold-hematite-chalcedony. The gold mineralizationand hematitization and silification are closely interrelated.
