Organic optocouplers显示文摘Organic optocoupler(OOC) or organic photocoupler, optical coupler is a novel and one of the most promising organic optoelectronic devices for its well electrical isolation and anti-jamming ability in long-distance and real-time digital communications. The performance parameters of OOC were greatly raised during the past decade, and its development was strongly associated with basic organic devices such as organic light emitting diodes(OLED),organic photodiodes(OPD) and organic phototransistors(OPT) etc. Here we describe the principles of OOC,review recent breakthroughs in this field, and summarize the photosensor and light emitting parts which could be used in the device.Key technical points, such as current transfer ratio, frequency, matching and stability were also discussed in this paper.SUN QiuJian DONG GuiFang WANG LiDuo QIU Yong 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,7:2

Fine-grained analysis of cellular smartphone usage characteristics based on massive network traffic显示文摘Increased adoption of smartphones leads to the explosive growth of mobile network traffic. Understanding the traffic characteristics of mobile network is important for Internet service providers(ISPs) to optimize network resources. In this paper, we conduct a detailed measurement study on the hyper text transfer protocol(HTTP) traffic characteristics of cellular network among different operating systems(OSs) as well as different device-types. Firstly, we propose a probability-based method to identify the installed OS of each smartphone. Then we analyze the traffic characteristics of these smartphones in terms of OS and device-type based on a dataset across 31 days(a billing cycle). Finally, we identify the installed apps of each smartphone and compare the usage of apps on the dimensions of OS and device-type. Our measurement study provides insights for network operators to strategize pricing and resource allocation for their cellular data networks.Gui Xiaolin Liu Jun Li Chenyu Lv Qiujian Lei Zhenming 2016The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2016,23,3:1

Nanosecond pulsed electric fields prime mesenchymal stem cells to peptide ghrelin and enhance chondrogenesis and osteochondral defect repair in vivo显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) are important cell sources in cartilage tissue development and homeostasis, and multiple strategies have been developed to improve MSCs chondrogenic differentiation with an aim of promoting cartilage regeneration. Here we report the effects of combining nanosecond pulsed electric fields(ns PEFs) followed by treatment with ghrelin(a hormone that stimulates release of growth hormone) to regulate chondrogenesis of MSCs.ns PEFs and ghrelin were observed to separately enhance the chondrogenesis of MSCs,and the effects were significantly enhanced when the bioelectric stimulation and hormone were combined, which in turn improved osteochondral tissue repair of these cells within Sprague Dawley rats.We further found that ns PEFs can prime MSCs to be more receptive to subsequent stimuli of differentiation by upregulated Oct4/Nanog and activated JNK signaling pathway.Ghrelin initiated chondrogenic differentiation by activation of ERK1/2 signaling pathway, and RNA-seq results indicated 243 genes were regulated, and JAK-STAT signaling pathway was involved.Interestingly, the sequential order of applying these two stimuli is critical, with ns PEFs pretreatment followed by ghrelin enhanced chondrogenesis of MSCs in vitro and subsequent cartilage regeneration in vivo, but not vice versa. This synergistic prochondrogenic effects provide us new insights and strategies for future cell-based therapies.Kejia Li Litong Fan Jianjing Lin Boon Chin Heng Zhantao Deng Qiujian Zheng Jue Zhang Yangzi Jiang Zigang Ge 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,5:1
Corticosterone activates Erk1/2 mitogen-activated protein kinase in primary hippocampal cells through rapid nongenomic mechanism显示文摘Nongenomic effects of glucocorticoids (GC) in various cell types have been well documented, but it still remains unknown whether the mechanism also works in hippocampus which is a crucial target of glucocorticoids in neural system during physiological and/or pathophysiological processes. We present here that corticosterone (B) could rapidly activate Erk1/2 mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) in primarily cultured hippocampal cells within minutes, with a bell shaped time dependent curve which peaked at 15min and then went down to normal level in 30 min. This activation was blocked by protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor (G6976), G protein inhibitor (GDPs), and MEK(MAPK/extracellular signal regulated kinase kinase) inhibitor(PD98059), but not by protein kinase A (PKA) inbibitor (H89), tyrosine kinase inhibitor (genistein), and glucocorticoid receptor (GR) antagonist (RU38486). Thus, the rapid activation of Erk1/2 MAPK in primary hippocampal cells induced by B was likely mediated by a G protein coupled receptor (GPCR) pathway with involvement of PKC, which belonged to the nongenomic rather than genomic mechanism of GC’s effects.QIAiqun QIUJian XIAOLin CHENYizhang 2005Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2005,15,4:1

Probabilistic Top-k Query:Model and Application on Web Traffic Analysis显示文摘Top-k ranking of websites according to traffic volume is important for Internet Service Providers(ISPs) to understand network status and optimize network resources. However, the ranking result always has a big deviation with actual rank for the existence of unknown web traffic, which cannot be identified accurately under current techniques. In this paper, we introduce a novel method to approximate the actual rank. This method associates unknown web traffic with websites according to statistical probabilities. Then, we construct a probabilistic top-k query model to rank websites. We conduct several experiments by using real HTTP traffic traces collected from a commercial ISP covering an entire city in northern China. Experimental results show that the proposed techniques can reduce the deviation existing between the ground truth and the ranking results vastly. In addition, we find that the websites providing video service have higher ratio of unknown IP as well as higher ratio of unknown traffic than the websites providing text web page service. Specifically, we find that the top-3 video websites have more than 90% of unknown web traffic. All these findings are helpful for ISPs understanding network status and deploying Content Distributed Network(CDN).Xiaolin Gui Jun Liu Qiujian Lv Chao Dong Zhenming Lei 2016China Communications2016,13,6:1

Surface reconstruction, modification and functionalization of natural diatomites for miniaturization of shaped heterogeneous catalysts显示文摘Since the discovery of mesoporous silica in 1990s,there have been numerous mesoporous silica-based nanomaterials developed for catalytic applications, aiming at enhanced catalytic activity and stability.Recently, there have also been considerable interests in endowing them with hierarchical porosities to overcome the diffusional limitation for those with long unimodal channels.Present processes of making mesoporous silica largely rely on chemical sources which are relatively expensive and impose environmental concerns on their processes. In this regard,it is desirable to develop hierarchical silica supports from natural minerals.Herein,we present a series of work on surface reconstruction, modification, and functionalization to produce diatomite-based catalysts with original morphology and macro-meso-micro porosities and to test their suitability as catalyst supports for both liquid-and gas-phase reactions. Two wet-chemical routes were developed to introduce mesoporosity to both amorphous and crystalline diatomites.Importantly,we have used computational modeling to affirm that the diatomite morphology can improve catalytic performance based on fluid dynamics simulations. Thus, one could obtain this type of catalysts from numerous natural diatoms that have inherently intricate morphologies and shapes in micrometer scale. In principle, such catalytic nanocomposites acting as miniaturized industrial catalysts could be employed in microfluidic reactors for process intensification.Bowen Li Tian Wang Qiujian Le Runze Qin Yuxin Zhang Hua Chun Zeng 2023Nano Materials Science2023,5,3:0

Membrane Aging as the Real Culprit of Alzheimer's Disease:Modification of a Hypothesis显示文摘Our previous studies proposed that Alzheimer's disease(AD) is a metabolic disorder and hypothesized that abnormal brain glucose metabolism inducing multiple pathophysiological cascades contributes to AD pathogenesis. Aging is one of the great significant risk factors for AD. Membrane aging is first prone to affect the function and structure of the brain by impairing glucose metabolism. We presume that risk factors of AD, including genetic factors(e.g., the apolipoprotein E ε4 allele and genetic mutations) and non-genetic factors(such as fat, diabetes, and cardiac failure) accelerate biomembrane aging and lead to the onset and development of the disease. In this review,we further modify our previous hypothesis to demonstrate‘‘membrane aging'' as an initial pathogenic factor that results in functional and structural alterations of membranes and, consequently, glucose hypometabolism and multiple pathophysiological cascades.Qiujian Yu Chunjiu Zhong 2018Neuroscience Bulletin2018,34,2:0
Resting-state electroencephalography theta predicts neurofeedback treatment 4-month follow-up response in nicotine addiction显示文摘Background The high rate of long-term relapse is a major cause of smoking cessation failure.Recently, neurofeedback training has been widely used in the treatment of nicotine addiction;however, approximately 30%of subjects fail to benefit from this intervention. Our previous randomised clinical trial(RCT)examined cognition-guided neurofeedback and demonstrated a significant decrease in daily cigarette consumption at the 4-month follow-up.However,significant individual differences were observed in the 4-month follow-up effects of decreased cigarette consumption. Therefore,it is critical to identify who will benefit from pre-neurofeedback.Aims We examined whether the resting-state electroencephalography(EEG)characteristics from pre-neurofeedback predicted the 4-month follow-up effects and explored the possible mechanisms. Methods This was a double-blind RCT.A total of 60 participants with nicotine dependence were randomly assigned to either the real-feedback or yoked-feedback group. They underwent 6 min closed-eye resting EEG recordings both before and after two neurofeedback sessions.A follow-up assessment was conducted after 4 months. Results The frontal resting-state theta power spectral density(PSD)was significantly altered in the real-feedback group after two neurofeedback visits.Higher theta PSD in the real-feedback group before neurofeedback was the only predictor of decreased cigarette consumption at the 4-month follow-up.Further reliability analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between theta PSD pre-neurofeedback and post-neurofeedback.A leave-one-out cross-validated linear regression of the theta PSD pre-neurofeedback demonstrated a significant correlation between the predicted and observed reductions in cigarette consumption at the 4-month follow-up.Finally,source analysis revealed that the brain mechanisms of the theta PSD predictor were located in the orbital frontal cortex. Conclusions Our study demonstrated changes in the resting-state theta PSD following neurofeedback training. Moreover, the resting-state theta PSD may serve as a prognostic marker of neurofeedback effects.A higher resting-state theta PSD predicts a better long-term response to neurofeedback treatment, which may facilitate the selection of individualised interventions.Qiujian Meng Ying Zhu Ye Yuan Li Yang Jiafang Liu Xiaochu Zhang Junjie Bu 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,4:0
A non-cooperative game-based distributed optimization method for chiller plant control显示文摘The heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning(HVAC)systems account for about half of the building energy consumption. The optimization methodology access to optimal control strategies of chiller plant has always been of great concern as it significantly contributes to the energy use of the whole HVAC system.Given that conventional centralized optimization methods relying on a central operator may suffer from dimensionality and a tremendous calculation burden, and show poorer flexibility when solving complex optimization issues,in this paper,a novel distributed optimization approach is presented for chiller plant control. In the proposed distributed control scheme, both trade-offs of coupled subsystems and optimal allocation among devices of the same subsystem are considered by developing a double-layer optimization structure.Non-cooperative game is used to mathematically formulate the interaction between controlled components as well as to divide the initial system-scale nonlinear optimization problem into local-scale ones.To solve these tasks, strategy updating mechanisms(PSO and IPM)are utilized. In this way,the approximate global optimal controlled variables of devices in the chiller plant can be obtained in a distributed and local-knowledge-enabled way without neither global information nor the central workstation.Furthermore, the existence and effectiveness of the proposed distributed scheme were verified by simulation case studies.Simulation results indicate that,by using the proposed distributed optimization scheme,a significant energy saving on a typical summer day can be obtained(1809.47 kW·h).The deviation from the central optimal solution is 3.83%.Shiyao Li Yiqun Pan Qiujian Wang Zhizhong Huang 2022Building Simulation2022,15,6:0
