| 1 | The brain morphology of Homo Liujiang cranium fossil by three-dimensional computed tomography显示文摘The Liujiang cranium is the most complete and well-preserved late Pleistocene human fossils ever unearthed in south China. Because the endocranial cavity is filled with hard stone matrix, earlier stud- ies focused only on the exterior morphology of the specimen using the traditional methods. In order to derive more information for the phyletic evaluation of the Liujiang cranium, high-resolution industrial computed tomography (CT) was used to scan the fossil, and the three-dimensional (3D) brain image was reconstructed. Compared with the endocasts of the hominin fossils (Hexian, Zhoukoudian, KNM-WT 15000, Sm 3, Kabwe, Brunn 3, Predmost) and modern Chinese, most morphological features of the Liujiang brain are in common with modern humans, including a round brain shape, bulged and wide frontal lobes, an enlarged brain height, a full orbital margin and long parietal lobes. A few differ- ences exist between Liujiang and the modern Chinese in our sample, including a strong posterior pro- jection of the occipital lobes, and a reduced cerebellar lobe. The measurement of the virtual endocast shows that the endocranial capacity of Liujiang is 1567 cc, which is in the range of Late Homo sapiens and much beyond the mean of modern humans. | 2 | Feiji Recipe inhibits the growth of lung cancer by modulating T-cell immunity through indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase pathway in an orthotopic implantation model显示文摘Objective: Escape from the body's immune response is a basic characteristic of lung cancer, and indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase(IDO) plays a key role in mediating immune escape of non-small-cell lung cancer, which leads to recurrence and metastasis. Feiji Recipe, a compound Chinese herbal medicine, has the effect of stabilizing lesions and prolonging survival in patients with lung cancer. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanisms underlying the anticancer properties of Feiji Recipe.Methods: An orthotopic transplant model of mouse Lewis lung cancer, with stable expression of IDO gene, was established in C57 BL/6 mice. Optical imaging was used to observe the effects of Feiji Recipe in the treatment of lung cancer in vivo. The effects of Feiji Recipe on the proliferation of mouse Lewis lung cancer cell line 2 LL, 2 LL-enhanced green fluorescent protein(2 LL-EGFP) and 2 LL-EGFP-IDO were investigated, and the apoptosis of T-cells was examined by 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2 H-tetra zolium bromide using flow cytometry. Chemical composition of Feiji Recipe was validated by highperformance liquid chromatography.Results: Compared to the control group, the survival of animals treated with Feiji Recipe was significantly prolonged(P = 0.0074), and the IDO protein level decreased(P = 0.0072); moreover, the percentages of CD4+CD25+T-cells and Foxp3+T-cells were significantly decreased(P < 0.05). | 3 | Clear mortality gap caused by graft macrosteatosis in Chinese patients after cadaveric liver transplantation显示文摘Background:Liver transplantation(LT)is one of the most effective surgical treatment for patients with end-stage liver disease.Steatosis is a contributor for inferior graft quality.But its impact and safety on transplantation was less assessed in Chinese patients.Methods:Graft steatosis and related information involved in recipients,donors and surgical procedures were retrospectively collected from 239 patients.Results:Donor macrosteatosis(MaS)caused about 2.14 and 2.80 folds of increment on patient and graft mortality.Dose-response analysis revealed prominent risk of grafts on overall patient/organ mortality when MaS content exceeded 10%(P<0.05).Noteworthy,deaths were only observed in MaS group when concurrent with extremely higher post-transplant alanine aminotransferase(ALT,64%).However,microsteatosis(MiS)grafts didn’t affect outcomes after LT.In a cohort of Chinese patients,MaS had comprehensive effects on post-transplant outcomes with relatively lower safety threshold at 10%.Mortality gap caused by MaS grafts was observed in patients with severer ischemia reperfusion injury.Conclusions:Our study revealled the graft MaS affected the post-transplant outcomes in lower risk cutoff in Chinese patients.Further study is worthy to validate these results and investigate inner mechanism under the phenomenon. | Zhengtao Liu Wenchao Wang Li Zhuang Jingfeng Liu Shuping Que Dan Zhu Linfang Dong Jian Yu Lin Zhou Shusen Zheng | 2020 | Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2020,9,6: | 2 |

Using robots to replace astronauts to complete this task can effectively reduce the threat to astronauts. Aimingat the problem that the configurations of existing space robots have difficulty in balancing the contradiction betweencomplexity and dexterity, our previous work proposes a 12-DOF 3-arm robot and preliminarily explores the feasibility ofits large-scale ability. This paper focus on the 8-DOF redundant dexterous manipulator composed of 2 of the robot arms.In view of the difficulties in solving the inverse kinematics of the redundant manipulator, the challenges of complexenvironmental lighting, and difficulties of matching multiple groups of holes and pins in the load plate assembly task, theresearch on the autonomous assembly of the load plate is carried out. The main work is as follows: (a) A variable D-Hparameter inverse kinematics solution method is proposed, which lays a foundation for humanoid dexterous operationplanning of the robot. (b) An autonomous operation method based on visual guidance and variable parameter admittancecontrol is proposed. | 9 | Pressureless two-step sintering of ultrafine-grained refractory metals:Tungsten-rhenium and molybdenum显示文摘The challenge of sintering ultrafine-grained refractory metals and alloys to full density is hereby addressed by pressureless two-step sintering in tungsten-rhenium alloy and pure molybdenum. Using properly processed nano powders(~50 nm average particle size), we are able to sinter W-10Re alloy to 98.4% density below 1200 ℃ while maintaining a fine grain size of 260 nm, and sinter molybdenum to 98.3% density below 1120 ℃ while maintaining a fine grain size of 290 nm. Compared to normal sintering,two-step sintering offers record-fine grain sizes and better microstructural uniformity, which translates to better mechanical properties with higher hardness(6.3 GPa for tungsten-rhenium and 4.0 GPa for molybdenum, both being the highest in all pressurelessly sintered samples of the respective material system)and larger Weibull modulus. | 10 | Multi-stage metallogeny in the southwestern part of South China,and paleotectonic and climatic implications:A high precision geochronologic study显示文摘The South China Block(SCB)is among the large-scale W-Sn mineralized regions of the globe.The Laojunshan W-Sn-dominant ore area(LOA)in the western part of the SCB preserves the records of the tectonic history of the Tethys realm extending through North Vietnam,and Yangtze to Cathaysia blocks,with coeval formation of giant metallic deposits.The prolonged tectonic activities and their control on the genesis and spatio-temporal distribution of giant metallic deposits in the LOA provide a window for a holistic understanding of the tectono-metallogenesis of the SCB.In this study,we present results from a multi-chronologic study to determine the timing of formation of the cassiterite-wolframite-schee lite mineralization.The results suggest three distinct tectono-metallogenic periods in the LOA during the geodynamic evolution of the surrounding tectonic units.The opening of the Proto-Tethys Ocean between the Yangtze-Indochina blocks and the westward Paleo-Pacific subduction beneath the Cathaysia block(420–380 Ma)jointly contributed to the Silurian to early Devonian intracontinental orogeny in the middle of the SCB that involved top-to-the-north thrusting along NE-striking shear zones.This event generated the Dulong-Song Chay granitoids,together with the formation of Xinzhai Sn deposit related to sheared mylonitic granites(ca.419 Ma)and pegmatites(ca.389 Ma),which include the early-stage Sn-sulfide skarn(ca.418 Ma)and the late-stage Sn-bearing schist(ca.389 Ma).During the Late Permian to Late Triassic(260–220 Ma),with the closure of the Proto-Tethys oceans in the west and ongoing Paleo-Pacific westward subduction in the east,the SCB and Indochina Block(IB)were amalgamated which also marks the time of formation of the Nanwenhe scheelite skarn deposit.The subducted PaleoTethys oceanic crust was likely entrained by the nearby rising Emeishan mantle plume(270–259 Ma),which formed the Maguan diabase(ca.260 Ma)that shows significantly older Re-Os model age of ca.268 Ma,suggesting that the Nanwenhe mineralization is potentially derived from ca.260 Ma source.Furthermore,the intraplate shortening induced thin skinned crustal deformation and low grade metamorphism(ca.230 Ma),with the main stage of scheelite-Sn-Mo mineralization(229.9,229.8 and 219 Ma)and contemporary formation of the pegmatite(230.7 Ma).The Late Cretaceous involved two episodes of alternate extension and shortening,driven by the subduction polarity change from northwestward subduction of the Okhotomorsk block to northward subduction of the NeoTethys seafloor.The evolution of the LOA consists of the NW–SE transpression ending ca.100 Ma,the WNW–ESE extension in the earlier episode lasting from 100 Ma to 86 Ma,the WNW–ESE transpression beginning at ca.85 Ma and the NAS extension in the later episode during the latest Cretaceous,which produced the extension-related three periods of Laojunshan granitic magmatism and coeval Sn-W mineralization,with ages in the range of 90–89 Ma,87–85 Ma and 83–79 Ma.We also evaluate the implications of magmaticmetamorphic-metallogenic degassing on the regional paleoclimatic history. | Yanbin Liu Lifei Zhang MSantosh Guochen Dong Hongying Zhou Chaoyang Que Cheng-Xue Yang | 2023 | Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,3: | 0 |
