| 1 | Prehistoric agriculture development in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, southwest China: Archaeobotanical evidence显示文摘The origin, development and expansion of prehistoric agriculture in East Asia have been widely investigated over the past two decades using archaeobotanical analysis from excavated Neolithic and Bronze Age sites. Research on prehistoric agriculture has predominantly focused in the valleys of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. Agricultural development during the Neolithic and Bronze Age periods in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau of southwest China, an important passageway for human migration into Southeast Asia, still remains unclear. In this paper, based on macrofossil and microfossil analysis and radiocarbon dating at the Shilinggang site, we investigate plant subsistence strategies in the Nujiang River valley during the Bronze Age period. Combined with previous archaeobotanical studies in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, we explore agricultural development processes in this area during the Neolithic and Bronze Age. Our results indicate that rice and foxtail millet were cultivated in Shilinggang around 2500 cal a BP. Three phases of prehistoric agricultural development in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau can be identified: rice cultivation from 4800–3900 cal a BP, mixed rice and millet crop(foxtail millet and broomcorn millet) cultivation from 3900–3400 cal a BP, and mixed rice, millet crop and wheat cultivation from 3400–2300 cal a BP. | 2 | Refined chronology of prehistoric cultures and its implication for re-evaluating human-environment relations in the Hexi Corridor,northwest China显示文摘The reconstruction of high-resolution chronologies for prehistoric cultures is a prerequisite for understanding the history of human evolution and its relationship with environmental change, and is valuable for exploring the trajectory of transcontinental cultural exchanges in prehistoric time. The Hexi Corridor of northwest China was one of the earliest centers for long-distance culture exchange in the prehistoric world. The timing and sequence of cultural changes in this area remains poorly understood resulting from the lack of radiometric age control. This paper presents a refined radiocarbon(14 C) chronology to resolve the timing of human occupation and cultural evolution in the Hexi Corridor. Radiocarbon dating of crop remains, which have an annual life cycle, has the advantage of eliminating problems such as the carbon stored in ‘old wood’. As a result,14C dates from crop remains are used to test the validity of the14C dates derived from charcoal, bone and plant remains. The resultant database of ages is modelled using the Bayesian approach. The updated chronology presented in this paper shows generally good agreement with the original dates used to constrain cultural evolution in the Hexi Corridor. However, the occupation of the corridor by the Shajing and Shanma Late Bronze Age-Early Iron Age cultures appears to have taken place ~300 years later than previously thought. | 3 | The RNA-binding protein Musashi2 governs osteoblast-adipocyte lineage commitment by suppressing PPARγsignaling显示文摘Osteoporosis caused by aging is characterized by reduced bone mass and accumulated adipocytes in the bone marrow cavity. How the balance between osteoblastogenesis and adipogenesis from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) is lost upon aging is still unclear. Here, we found that the RNA-binding protein Musashi2(Msi2) regulates BMSC lineage commitment. Msi2 is commonly enriched in stem cells and tumor cells. We found that its expression was downregulated during adipogenic differentiation and upregulated during osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs. Msi2 knockout mice exhibited decreased bone mass with substantial accumulation of marrow adipocytes, similar to aging-induced osteoporosis. Depletion of Msi2 in BMSCs led to increased adipocyte commitment. Transcriptional profiling analysis revealed that Msi2 deficiency led to increased PPARγ signaling.RNA-interacting protein immunoprecipitation assays demonstrated that Msi2 could inhibit the translation of the key adipogenic factor Cebpα, thereby inhibiting PPAR signaling. Furthermore, the expression of Msi2 decreased significantly during the aging process of mice, indicating that decreased Msi2 function during aging contributes to abnormal accumulation of adipocytes in bone marrow and osteoporosis. | 4 | Oxygen‑Deficient β‑MnO_(2)@Graphene Oxide Cathode for High‑Rate and Long‑Life Aqueous Zinc Ion Batteries显示文摘Recent years have witnessed a booming interest in grid-scale electrochemical energy storage,where much attention has been paid to the aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs).Among various cathode materials for AZIBs,manganese oxides have risen to prominence due to their high energy density and low cost.However,sluggish reaction kinetics and poor cycling stability dictate against their practical application.Herein,we demonstrate the combined use of defect engineering and interfacial optimization that can simultaneously promote rate capability and cycling stability of MnO_(2) cathodes.β-MnO_(2) with abundant oxygen vacancies(VO)and graphene oxide(GO)wrapping is synthesized,in which VO in the bulk accelerate the charge/discharge kinetics while GO on the surfaces inhibits the Mn dissolution.This electrode shows a sustained reversible capacity of~129.6 mAh g^(−1) even after 2000 cycles at a current rate of 4C,outperforming the state-of-the-art MnO_(2)-based cathodes.The superior performance can be rationalized by the direct interaction between surface VO and the GO coating layer,as well as the regulation of structural evolution ofβ-MnO_(2) during cycling.The combinatorial design scheme in this work offers a practical pathway for obtaining high-rate and long-life cathodes for AZIBs. | Shouxiang Ding Mingzheng Zhang Runzhi Qin Jianjun Fang Hengyu Ren Haocong Yi Lele Liu Wenguang Zhao Yang Li Lu Yao Shunning Li Qinghe Zhao Feng Pan | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,11: | 3 |

| 7 | Simulation and Experiment of Double Grits Interacting Scratch for Optical Glass BK7显示文摘The elastic-plastic transition regime and brittle-ductile transition regime in scratch process for optical glass BK7 were analyzed based on the Hertzian equation and the stress ratio theory which was proposed by Wei. The interacting scratch process for optical glass BK7 with the grit interval distance as the variable was simulated by the ABAQUS software of finite element simulation based on the energy fracture theory. Double grits interacting scratch test for optical glass BK7 was carried out on the DMG ULTRASONIC 70-5 linear, by which the reliability of finite element simulation was verified. The surface morphology of the workpiece was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), which showed that the width of groove increased obviously with the increase of scratch depth and the grit interval distance. Results of the width of groove were consistent with the simulation results. The subsurface damage layer was analyzed by the method of HF acid etching, which showed that there was an area of cracks intersecting. The scratching force was measured by the threedimensional dynamometer of KISTLER, which showed that the second scratching force increased with the increase of scratching depth and the grit interval distance. | 8 | Regioselective acylation of pyridoxine catalyzed by immobilized lipase in ionic liquid显示文摘The regioselective acylation of pyridoxine catalyzed by immobilized lipase(Candida Antarctica)in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate([BMIM]PF_(6))has been investigated,and compared with that in acetonitrile(ACN).The acetylation of pyridoxine using acetic anhydride in[BMIM]PF6 gave comparable conversion of pyridoxine to 5-monoacetyl pyridoxine with considerably higher regioselectivity(93%-95%)than that in ACN(70%-73%).Among the tested parameters,water activity(aw)and temperature have profound effects on the reaction performances in either[BMIM]PF6 or ACN.For the reaction in[BMIM]PF6,higher temperature(50℃-55℃)and lower aw(<0.01)are preferable conditions to obtain better conversion and regioselectivity.Mass transfer limitation and intrinsic kinetic from the ionic nature of ionic liquids(ILs)may account for a different rate-temperature profile and a lower velocity at lower temperature in[BMIM]PF_(6)-mediated reaction.Moreover,consecutive batch reactions for enzyme reuse also show that lipase exhibited a much higher thermal stability and better reusability in[BMIM]PF_(6)than in ACN,which represents another advantage of ILs as an alternative to traditional solvents beyond green technology. | Shu BAI Mengyuan REN Lele WANG Yan SUN | 2008 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2008,2,3: | 0 |

Mathematical modeling can be used to simulate NFκB signal transduction and investigate the molecular mechanism. The initial IκB-NFκB signal transduction model emphasized the effects of negative feedback on NFκB temporal dynamics and gene expression control,while subsequent studies are concentrated on other feedback loops,input-output behaviors of modules,crosslinking of several NFκB activation paths and NFκB oscillation.
