| 1 | The recognition of adakite-type gneisses in the North Dabie Mountain and its implication to ultrahigh pressure metamorphic geology显示文摘Adakite is an igneous rock generated by the partial melting of subducting ocean slab in an island arc setting. Meanwhile, residuals of the slab-melting are transformed to eclogite or garnet-amphibolite during a slab subduction process. This note reports the adakite-type grey gneisses discovered in the North Dabie Mountain. These adakitic rocks are characterized by high AI2O3(14.97%-17.56%), Sr (545-941 μg/g), Sr/Y (44.71-218.98), La/Yb (16.70-97.50), and low Y (3.32-12.19μg/g), Yb (0.31-1.34 μg/g), Sc (0.92-4.2μg/g), as well as positive Sr anomaly but absent or positive Eu anomaly. They are different from the low aluminum grey gneisses with low AI2O3 (13.73%-14.38%), Sr (262-409 μg/g), Sr/Y (6.46-15.97) and La/Yb (1.90-22.60), high Y(21.79-36.24 μg/g), Yb (2.00-5.59 μg/g) , Sc (8.30%-12.70%), and negative Sr, Eu anomaly in the North Dabie Mountain. | 3 | Optical tuning of exciton and trion emissions in monolayer phosphorene显示文摘Monolayer phosphorene provides a unique two-dimensional(2D)platform to investigate the fundamental dynamics of excitons and trions(charged excitons)in reduced dimensions.However,owing to its high instability,unambiguous identification of monolayer phosphorene has been elusive.Consequently,many important fundamental properties,such as exciton dynamics,remain underexplored.We report a rapid,noninvasive,and highly accurate approach based on optical interferometry to determine the layer number of phosphorene,and confirm the results with reliable photoluminescence measurements.Furthermore,we successfully probed the dynamics of excitons and trions in monolayer phosphorene by controlling the photo-carrier injection in a relatively low excitation power range.Based on our measured optical gap and the previously measured electronic energy gap,we determined the exciton binding energy to be~0.3 eV for the monolayer phosphorene on SiO_(2)/Si substrate,which agrees well with theoretical predictions.A huge trion binding energy of~100 meV was first observed in monolayer phosphorene,which is around five times higher than that in transition metal dichalcogenide(TMD)monolayer semiconductor,such as MoS_(2).The carrier lifetime of exciton emission in monolayer phosphorene was measured to be,220 ps,which is comparable to those in other 2D TMD semiconductors.Our results open new avenues for exploring fundamental phenomena and novel optoelectronic applications using monolayer phosphorene. | Jiong Yang Renjing Xu Jiajie Pei Ye Win Myint Fan Wang Zhu Wang Shuang Zhang Zongfu Yu Yuerui Lu | 2015 | Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1: | 8 |
| 4 | OsNPF5.16, a nitrate transporter gene with natural variation, is essential for rice growth and yield显示文摘Rice has a large number of nitrate or peptide transporter family(NPF) genes, but the effects of most members on rice growth and development are unknown. We report that Os NPF5.16, a nitrate transporter gene with natural variation in its promoter sequence, is essential for rice growth and yield. The promoter sequence showed various differences between indica and japonica cultivars, and higher expression of Os NPF5.16 was found in indica cultivars with higher plant weight and more tillers than japonica cultivars.Os NPF5.16 was highly expressed in roots, tiller basal parts, and leaf sheaths, and its protein was localized on the plasma membrane. In c RNA-injected Xenopus laevis oocytes, Os NPF5.16 transport of nitrate at high nitrate concentration depended on p H. Overexpression of Os NPF5.16 increased nitrate content and total nitrogen content in leaf sheath as well as biomass and tiller bud length in rice. Elevated expression of Os NPF5.16 increased rice tiller number and grain yield by regulating cytokinin levels. Inhibition of Os NPF5.16 expression showed the opposite effects. | 5 | Target serum concentration of vancomycin may be reached earlier with a loading dose显示文摘Background:Vancomycin treatment failure against vancomycin-susceptible gram-positive cocci is not rare in the intensive care unit(ICU).One of the reasons for this is the substandard drug trough concentration.We aimed to examine the hypothesis that the target serum concentration could be reached earlier with a loading dose of vancomycin.Methods:This retrospective cohort study was conducted at our ICU between June 2018 and June 2020 and involved patients who were suspected of having,or confirmed to have,gram-positive cocci infection and treated with vancomycin.One group of the patients was administered a loading dose of vancomycin(loading group)and compared with the group that did not receive a loading dose(control group).The baseline characteristics,vancomycin serum concentrations,and clinical outcomes were collected and analyzed.Results:Fifty-five patients were finally included,of which 29 received a loading dose of vancomycin.The serum concentration of vancomycin before the second dose was significantly higher for the loading group than for the control group(10.3±6.1 mg/Lvs.5.7±4.4 mg/L,P=0.002).The results for both groups were similar before the fifth dose(12.4±7.3 mg/Lvs.10.3±6.3 mg/L in the loading and the control groups,respectively;P=0.251).The 28-day mortality was lower for the loading group than for the control group(6.7%vs.34.6%in the loading and control groups,respectively;P=0.026).No significant differences were observed in serum creatinine(Cr)concentrations of the two groups.Conclusion:With the loading dose of vancomycin,the target serum concentration of vancomycin may be reached earlier without increasing the risk of acute kidney injury. | Yanxia Huang Le He Yunxin Deng Renjing Zhang Mei Meng Jiao Liu Dechang Chen | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,3: | 2 |
| 6 | Inter-provincial Differences in Rice Multi-cropping Changes in Main Double-cropping Rice Area in China: Evidence from Provinces and Households显示文摘Since the early 1980 s, the multi-cropping index for rice has decreased significantly in main double-cropping rice area in China, which is the primary double-cropping rice(DCR) production area. This decline may bring challenges to food security in China because rice is the staple food for more than 60% of the Chinese population. It has been generally recognized that rapidly rising labor costs due to economic growth and urbanization in China is the key driving force of the ‘double-to-single' rice cropping system adaption. However, not all provinces have shown a dramatic decline in DCR area, and labor costs alone cannot explain this difference. To elucidate the reasons for these inter-provincial distinctions and the dynamics of rice cropping system adaption, we evaluated the influencing factors using provincial panel data from 1980 to 2015. We also used household survey data for empirical analysis to explore the mechanisms driving differences in rice multi-cropping changes. Our results indicated that the eight provinces in the study can be divided into three spatial groups based on the extent of DCR area decline, the rapidly-declining marginal, core, and stable zones. Increasing labor cost due to rapid urbanization was the key driving force of rice cropping system adaption, but the land use dynamic vary hugely among different provinces. These differences between zones were due to the interaction between labor price and accumulated temperature conditions. Therefore, increasing labor costs had the greatest impact in Zhejiang, Anhui, and Hubei, where the accumulated temperature is relatively low and rice multi-cropping index declined dramaticly. However, labor costs had little impact in Guangdong and Guangxi. Differences in accumulated temperature conditions resulted in spatially different labor demands and pressure on households during the busy season. As a result, there have been different profits and rice multi-cropping changes between provinces and zones. Because of these spatial differences, regionally appropriate policies that provide appropriate subsidies for early rice in rapidly-declining marginal zone such as Zhejiang and Hubei should be implemented. | 7 | MoM-based topology optimization method for planar metallic antenna design显示文摘The metallic antenna design problem can be treated as a problem to find the optimal distribution of conductive material in a certain domain. Although this problem is well suited for topology optimization method, the volumetric distribution of conductive material based on 3D finite element method(FEM) has been known to cause numerical bottlenecks such as the skin depth issue, meshed 'air regions'and other numerical problems. In this paper a topology optimization method based on the method of moments(Mo M)for configuration design of planar metallic antenna was proposed. The candidate structure of the planar metallic antenna was approximately considered as a resistance sheet with position-dependent impedance. In this way, the electromagnetic property of the antenna can be analyzed easily by using the MoM to solve the radiation problem of the resistance sheet in a finite domain. The topology of the antenna was depicted with the distribution of the impedance related to the design parameters or relative densities. The conductive material(metal) was assumed to have zero impedance, whereas the non-conductive material was simulated as a material with a finite but large enough impedance. The interpolation function of the impedance between conductive material and non-conductive material was taken as a tangential function. The design of planar metallic antenna was optimized for maximizing the efficiency at the target frequency. | 8 | Evidence for metasomatic mantle carbonatitic magma extrusion in Mesoproterozoic ore-hosting dolomite rocks in the middle Kunyang rift, central Yunnan, China显示文摘The Kunyang rift lying on the western margin of the Yangtze platform is a rare Precambrian Fe-Cu mineralization zone. WudingLufeng basin that is an important part of the zone is located on the west edge in the middle of the rift. The most important ore-hosting rocks are Mesoproterozoic dolomite rocks in the basin controlled by a ring fracture system, which is a fundamental structure of the basin. Plenty of silicate minerals and acicular apatite, feldspar phenocrysts and small vesicular, flown line and flown plane structures, melt inclusion and high temperature fluid inclusion found in most ore-hosting dolomites suggest that this kind of rocks could not be sedimentary dolomite, marble or hydrothermal carbonate rocks. The Zr/Hf and Nb/Ta values of the rocks are identical with those of associated mantle-derived rocks, and vary widely. For the monomineral dolomite, d18OSMOW‰ = +5.99 to +18.4 and d13CPDB‰ = à3.01 to +0.94, which fall within the range for all carbonatitic volcanic rocks of the world. As for the accessory minerals, the values of d18OSMOW‰ of magnetite (=+3.47 to +5.99‰) are close to that of the mantle (<5.7%), and the d34S‰ values of sul?des (à5.09 to +5.78, averaging +1.50) are close to that of meteorite. For all the ore-bearing dolomite rocks, eNd = +0.19 to +2.27, and the calculated ISr = 0.699143, while for the associated mantle-derived rocks, eNd = +3.18 to +3.72. All the data suggest that the mineral assemblage is not only igneous but also of metasomatic mantle origin. And the presence of acicular apatite indicates that the rocks were formed by magma rapidly cooling. And the phenocryst texture and vesicular, flown and ropy and pyroclastic structures suggest that the igneous rocks were extrusive. Therefore, the ore-bearing dolomite rocks are carbonatitic volcanic rocks.
