| 3 | Modified Carbothermal Synthesis of TiC Whiskers显示文摘A new approach to the massive production of TiC whiskers with high purity and low cost was presented. It is a modified carbothermal reduction method (MCTR) characterized by argon stream flowing vertically and passing through the interior of the mixture of raw materials. It is found for the first time that there is an optimum flow of the upward flowing argon stream, at which large quantity of high quality TiC can be obtained. This paper described the new method, analyzed the mechanism and conditions for the formation of high purity TiC whiskers on a large scale, and compared MCTR with the traditional carbothermal reduction method (TCTR). | 4 | Surface-Modified Graphene Oxide/Lead Sulfide Hybrid Film-Forming Ink for High-Efficiency Bulk Nano-Heterojunction Colloidal Quantum Dot Solar Cells显示文摘Solution-processed colloidal quantum dot solar cells(CQDSCs) is a promising candidate for new generation solar cells.To obtain stable and high performance lead sulfide(PbS)-based CQDSCs,high carrier mobility and low non-radiative recombination center density in the PbS CQDs active layer are required.In order to effectively improve the carrier mobility in PbS CQDs layer of CQDSCs,butylamine(BTA)-modified graphene oxide(BTA@GO) is first utilized in PbS-PbX2(X=I-,Br-) CQDs ink to deposit the active layer of CQDSCs through one-step spin-coating method.Such surface treatment of GO dramatically upholds the intrinsic superior hole transfer peculiarity of GO and attenuates the hydrophilicity of GO in order to allow for its good dispersibility in ink solvent.The introduction of B TA@GO in CQDs layer can build up a bulk nano-heterojunction architecture,which provides a smooth charge carrier transport channel in turn improves the carrier mobility and conductivity,extends the carriers lifetime and reduces the trap density of PbS-PbX2 CQDs film.Finally,the BTA@GO/PbS-PbX2 hybrid CQDs film-based relatively large-area(0.35 cm2) CQDSCs shows a champion power conversion efficiency of 11.7% which is increased by 23.1% compared with the control device. | Yaohong Zhang Guohua Wu Chao Ding Feng Liu Dong Liu Taizo Masuda Kenji Yoshino Shuzi Hayase Ruixiang Wang Qing Shen | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,9: | 2 |

| 12 | Testing and Modeling of the Dynamic Response Characteristics of Pulsating Heat Pipes during the Start-up Process显示文摘Pulsating heat pipes(PHPs) are two-phase heat transfer heat pipes with high heat transfer capability and simple structure. Heating power is an important factor that affects the start-up response characteristics of PHPs. The operational characteristics during the start-up and stable operating stages were studied through experiments, and the corresponding dynamic response model under a specified heating power was established based on experimental data and flow pattern in the tube. The starting time, starting temperature, and dynamic response characteristic parameters at a certain heating power were calculated by the dynamic response model. The response characteristics of working fluid during the stable operation of PHPs were deduced based on the dynamic response curve of PHPs during the non-operational and stable operation stages. The response characteristics of PHPs for the step effect(given heating power) were quantitatively described by amplification factor K and time constant τ, thereby presenting the basis for the study on heat and mass transfer mechanisms of PHPs from non-operational to steady operation stage. Results showed that the minimum thermal resistance and the minimum time constant of the PHP are approximately 0.28 °C/W and 75, respectively, obtained at a heating power of 160 W. Moreover, these results indicated that the dynamic response of PHPs demonstrates a favourable performance and rapidly reaches another stable working state when their heat transfer performance is stable. | 17 | Efficient ternary organic solar cells based on a twin spiro-type non-fullerene acceptor显示文摘A novel small-molecule(SM) acceptor DTF-IC is designed and synthesized in this work. The power conversion efficiency(PCE) of ternary OSCs increased up to 12.14% from 10.90% by incorporating 10 wt% of DTF-IC as second acceptors into the binary OSCs consisting of PBDB-T as donor and IT-M as acceptor. This was mainly due to the large increase in short-circuit current(Jsc) from 16.18 to 17.95 mA/cm^2, without any drop in the open-circuit voltage(Voc) and fill factor(FF). The addition of DTF-IC enabled the donor and acceptor to form a distinct complementary absorption profile in the visible-light region, which boosted the photon harvesting in the range of 730–800 nm and consequently increased the Jscof the ternary system by 11%. Moreover, there was an energy transfer between the two SM acceptors, favorable for enhancing charge separation and transfer as well as reducing charge recombination at PBDB-T:IT-M and PBDB-T:DTF-IC interface. Simultaneously, HOMO and LUMO energy levels of DTF-IC were lower than those of PBDB-T, but still higher than those of IT-M. Thus, DTF-IC is able to provide a cascading energy level with the host donor and acceptor which are beneficial for efficient charge transfer between the acceptors and facilitating exciton dissociation and carrier transport. Meanwhile, the highly crystalline DTF-IC as a third component can improve the crystallization process of the active layer while maintaining proper phase separation.
