1Wavelet denoising via sparse representation显示文摘Wavelet threshold denoising is a powerful method for suppressing noise in signals and images. However, this method often uses a coordinate-wise processing scheme, which ignores the structural properties in the wavelet coefficients. We propose a new wavelet denoising method using sparse representation which is a powerful mathematical tool recently developed. Instead of thresholding wavelet coefficients individually, we minimize the number of non-zero coefficients under certain conditions. The denoised signal is reconstructed by solving an optimization problem. It is shown that the solution to the optimization problem can be obtained uniquely and the estimates of the denoised wavelet coefficients are unbiased, i.e., the statistical means of the estimates are equal to the noise-free wavelet coefficients. It is also shown that at least a local optimal solution to the denoising problem can be found. Our experiments on test data indicate that this new denoising method is effective and efficient for a wide variety of signals including those with low signal-to-noise ratios.ZHAO RuiZhen LIU XiaoYu Ching-Chung LI Robert J. 2Fine mapping of locus S-b for F_1 pollen sterility in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Hybrid sterility is the main barrier in util-izing the heterosis of subspecies in rice. A knowledge of the underlying molecular mechanism of the hybrid sterility will be useful for overcoming the barrier. In this research, the F1 pollen sterility locus, S-b, was mapped between SSR markers PSM8 and PSM202. To fine map the locus, one F2 mapping population of 3910 plants was developed using the near-isogenic lines of the locus. Ninety-seven recombinants be-tween two markers were selected. Moreover, a series of markers, including two SSR markers, two InDel markers and four CAPS markers, were developed on the region. Linkage analysis showed that marker W4 was co-segregated with locus S-b, while makers A8 and A14 were located on the two sides of the locus with a distance of 0.026 and 0.038 cM, respectively. The markers were then integrated with the se-quences of the clones of the region. Results showed that all the polymorphic markers were anchored on the three end-to-end jointed clones AC093089, AC079021 and AC134931. According to the physical information of the markers, locus S-b was finally de-limited to a region of 27 kb between A8 and A14. Seven ORFs were identified on the region based on the annotation results of RiceGAAS system. 5An Asynchronous Adaptive Priority Round-Robin Arbiter Based on Four-Phase Dual-rail Protocol显示文摘An asynchronous Adaptive priority roundrobin arbiter(APRA) based on four-phase dual-rail protocol is proposed. Combining the advantages of synchronous and asynchronous circuits, it provides the required bandwidth allocation on basis of arbitration fairness and works in synchronous So C. In the Nonidling and nonpreemptive(NINP) model, simulations and verifications are made. The results show that the speed of the proposed arbiter is improved by 18%–50.4% and the dynamic and static power is reduced by 8.4%–46.2% and 81.8%–90.9% respectively compared with the commonly-used Fixed priority(FP),Round-Robin(RR) and Lottery arbiters. The proposed arbiter is better in output bandwidth allocation and it also has advantages in speed and power. 15Study on the dynamic variation of the secondary metabolites in Viscum coloratum using targeted metabolomics显示文摘Viscum coloratum(Kom.)Nakai is a well-known medicinal plant.However,the optimal harvest time for V.coloratum is unknown.Few studies were performed to analyze compound variation during storage and to improve post-harvest quality control.Our study aimed to comprehensively evaluate the quality of V.coloratum in different growth stages,and determine the dynamic variation of metabolites.Ultra-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry was used to quantify 29 compounds in V.coloratum harvested in six growth periods,and the associated biosynthetic pathways were explored.The accumulation of different types of compounds were analyzed based on their synthesis pathways.Grey relational analysis was used to evaluate the quality of v.coloratum across different months.The compound variation during storage was analyzed by a high-temperature high-humidity accelerated test.The results showed that the quality of V.coloratum was the hightest in March,followed by November,and became the lowest in July.During storage,compounds in downstream steps of the biosynthesis pathway were first degraded to produce the upstream compounds and some low-molecular-weight organic acids,leading to an increase followed by a decrease in the content of some compounds,and resulted in a large gap during the degradation time course among different compounds.Due to the rapid rate and large degree of degradation,five compounds were tentatively designated as“early warning components”for quality control.This report provides reference for better understanding the biosynthesis and degradation of metabolites in V.coloratum and lays a theoretical foundation for rational application of V.coloratum and better quality control of V.coloratum during storage.ZHANG Ruizhen DUAN Rong WANG Weiqing YU Zhiguo LI Yun ZHAO Yunli 2023Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2023,21,4:0
16Impaired SERCA2a phosphorylation causes diabetic cardiomyopathy through impinging on cardiac contractility and precursor protein processing显示文摘Diabetic cardiomyopathy(DCM)is currently a progressive and nonstoppable complication in type 2 diabetic patients.Metabolic insults and insulin resistance are involved in its pathogenesis;however,the underlying mechanisms are still not clearly understood.Here we show that calcium dysregulation can be both a cause and a consequence of cardiac insulin resistance that leads to DCM.A western diet induces the development of DCM through at least three phases in mice,among which an early phase depends on impaired Thr^(484)-phosphorylation of sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 2a(SERCA2a)elicited by insulin resistance.Mutation of SERCA2a-Thr^(484) to a nonphosphorylatable alanine delays calcium re-uptake into the sarcoplasmic reticulum in the cardiomyocytes and decreases cardiac function at the baseline.Importantly,this mutation blunts the early phase of DCM,but has no effect on disease progression in the following phases.Interestingly,impairment of sarcoplasmic reticulum calcium re-uptake caused by the SERCA2a-Thr^(484) mutation inhibited processing of insulin receptor precursor through FURIN convertase,resulting in cardiac insulin resistance.Collectively,these data reveal a bidirectional relationship between insulin resistance and impairment of calcium homeostasis,which may underlie the early pathogenesis of DCM.Our findings have therapeutic implications for early intervention of DCM.Chao Quan Sangsang Zhu Ruizhen Wang Jiamou Chen Qiaoli Chen Min Li Shu Su Qian Du Minjun Liu Hong-Yu Wang Shuai Chen 2022Life Metabolism2022,1,1:0
17Time series canopy phenotyping enables the identification of genetic variants controlling dynamic phenotypes in soybean显示文摘Advances in plant phenotyping technologies are dramatically reducing the marginal costs of collecting multiple phenotypic measurements across several time points.Yet,most current approaches and best statistical practices implemented to link genetic and phenotypic variation in plants have been developed in an era of single-time-point data.Here,we used time-series phenotypic data collected with an unmanned aircraft system for a large panel of soybean(Glycine max(L.)Merr.)varieties to identify previously uncharacterized loci.Specifically,we focused on the dissection of canopy coverage(CC)variation from this rich data set.We also inferred the speed of canopy closure,an additional dimension of CC,from the time-series data,as it may represent an important trait for weed control.Genome-wide association studies(GWASs)identified 35 loci exhibiting dynamic associations with CC across developmental stages.The time-series data enabled the identification of 10 known flowering time and plant height quantitative trait loci(QTLs)detected in previous studies of adult plants and the identification of novel QTLs influencing CC.These novel QTLs were disproportionately likely to act earlier in development,which may explain why they were missed in previous single-time-point studies.Moreover,this time-series data set contributed to the high accuracy of the GWASs,which we evaluated by permutation tests,as evidenced by the repeated identification of loci across multiple time points.Two novel loci showed evidence of adaptive selection during domestication,with different genotypes/haplotypes favored in different geographic regions.In summary,the time-series data,with soybean CC as an example,improved the accuracy and statistical power to dissect the genetic basis of traits and offered a promising opportunity for crop breeding with quantitative growth curves.Delin Li Dong Bai Yu Tian Ying-Hui Li Chaosen Zhao Qi Wang Shiyu Guo Yongzhe Gu Xiaoyan Luan Ruizhen Wang Jinliang Yang Malcolm J.Hawkesford James C.Schnable Xiuliang Jin Li-Juan Qiu 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,1:0
18Two New Identification Methods for Encephalitozoon cuniculi on Tissue Section显示文摘[Objective] The paper aimed to search new identification methods of Encephalitozoon cuniculi on tissue sections. [Method] Using improved Gram staining method and methyl green pyronin staining method,the pathological sections of sick rabbits were stained and identified. [Result]The pathological changes in brain tissue could be clearly observed on sections,but parasites were not examined in pathological brain tissues stained by common staining method. When the pathological section was stained by improved Gram staining method,the pathological changes in brain tissue were not only stained very clearly,but blue parasites were also found in brain tissues. The parasites in epithelioid cells were stained into purple ones by methyl green pyronin staining method. 19Superconductivity in chromium nitrides Pr3Cr10-xN11 with strong electron correlations显示文摘Exploration of superconductivity in Cr-based compounds has attracted considerable interest because only a few Cr-based superconductors(CrAs,A2Cr3As3 and ACr3As3(A=K,Rb,Cs,Na))have been discovered so far and they show an unconventional pairing mechanism.We report the discovery of bulk superconductivity at 5.25 K in chromium nitride in Pr3Cr10-xN11 with a cubic lattice structure.A relatively large upper critical field of Hc2(0)~12.6 T is determined,which is larger than the estimated Pauli-paramagnetic pair-breaking magnetic field.The material has a large electronic specific-heat coefficient of 170 mJ K^-2mol^-1-about 10 times larger than that estimated by the electronic structure calculation,which suggests that correlations between 3d electrons are very strong in Pr3Cr10-xN11,and thus quantum fluctuations might be involved.Electronic structure calculations show that the density of states at the Fermi energy are contributed predominantly by Cr 3d electrons,implying that the superconductivity results mainly from the condensation of Cr 3d electrons.Pr3Cr10-xN11 represents a rare example of possible unconventional superconductivity emerging in a 3D system with strong electron correlations.Nevertheless,clarification of the specific pairing symmetry needs more investigation.Wei Wu Kai Liu Yanjie Li Zhenhai Yu Desheng Wu Yuting Shao Shihang Na Gang Li Ruizhen Huang Tao Xiang Jianlin Luo 2020National Science Review2020,7,1:0
20Effect of Different Concentrations of Lipopolysaccharide on Expression of NF-κB and LAP in Mammary Epithelial Cells of Dairy Cow显示文摘The paper was to study the effects of different concentrations of lipopolysaccharide(LPS) on expression of nuclear factor Kappa B(NF-κB) and lingual antimicrobial peptide(LAP) gene in mammary epithelial cells of dairy cow.The mammary epithelial cells of dairy cow were stimulated by different concentrations(50,100,200,400 and 800 ng/mL) of LPS.The total RNA of cells was extracted after stimulation for 2,4,8,16,24,48 and 72 h,respectively,and the mRNA expression levels of NF-κB P65 and LAP were evaluated by real-time quantitative PCR.The results showed that the expression of NF-κB P65 and LAP mRNA treated with 400 ng / mL LPS for 72 h were the highest compared to the control group(P<0.01).The result confirmed that the expression activity of NF-κB was enhanced in inflammatory effects of mammary epithelial cells induced by LPS,which regulated the expression of defense gene LAP,with certain dose and time effects.Cheng Lanling Cao Guifang Wen Shiyong Zhao Pengwei Tu Yong Jian Ruizhen Li Qi 2014Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2014,6,1:0
