| 1 | Multigene editing via CRISPR/Cas9 guided by a single-sgRNA seed in Arabidopsis显示文摘We report that a solo single-guide RNA(sg RNA) seed is capable of guiding Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPRàassociated 9(CRISRP/Cas_9) to simultaneously edit multiple genes At RPL_(10)A, At RPL_(10)B and At RPL_(10)C in Arabidopsis. Our results also demonstrate that it is possible to use CRISPR/Cas_9 technology to create At RPL_(10) triple mutants which otherwise cannot be generated by conventional genetic crossing. Compared to other conventional multiplex CRISPR/Cas systems, a single sg RNA seed has the advantage of reducing off-target gene-editing. | 2 | Synthesis of hexaaluminate catalysts for methane combustion by reverse microemulsion medium显示文摘The aim of this study is to synthesize the catalysts of Fe-and Mn-substituted hexaaluminate by reverse microemulsion medium for methane catalytic combustion application.Pseudo-ternary phase diagrams in quaternary microemulsion systems of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB),n-butanol,n-octane,and water [or Al(NO3)3 solution] were presented.The effects of the alcohol chain length,ratio of sur-factant to cosurfactant,and salt concentration on the formation and stability of microemulsion systems were studied.The phase behavior of microemulsion systems was confirmed through the varying of the conductivity with the water content.The performance and structure of the catalysts,La(Mnx/Fex)Al12-x-O19-δ synthesized with the optimal parameter in the phase diagrams of microemulsions systems were characterized by BET,TG-DTA,and XRD.The micro fix-bed reactor was used to measure the catalytic activities of catalysts to methane combustion.The results showed that this synthesis method could yield non-agglomerated and highly dispersed precursors that would undergo crystallization at the lower temperature of 950℃.When temperature was raised up to 1050℃,the complete crystalline La-hexaaluminate was shaped.The hexaaluminate substituted with Fe had high-catalytic activity and stability at high temperature,while the Mn-substituted had higher catalytic activity at lower temperature.When the cooperation of Fe and Mn occurred,i.e.,LaFeMnAl10O19-δ exhibited a high surface area and catalytic activity to CH4 combustion,the CH4 light-off temperature was only 475℃ and the complete combustion temperature was 660℃.This was attributed to the synergistic effect between Fe and Mn. | BAI ShouLi WANG LiangShi SHI BingJie YANG PengCheng CUI MeiSheng LONG ZhiQi LI DianQing CHEN AiFan | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,1: | 6 |
| 3 | Au-Ag alloy nanoparticles with tunable cavity for plasmon-enhanced photocatalytic H2 evolution显示文摘Au-Ag alloy nanoparticles with different cavity sizes have great potential for improving photocatalytic performance due to their tunable plasmon effect.In this study,galvanic replacement was combined with co-reduction with the reaction kinetics processes regulated to rapidly synthesize Au-Ag hollow alloy nanoparticles with tunable cavity sizes.The position of the localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)peak could be effectively adjusted between 490 nm and 713 nm by decreasing the cavity size of the Au-Ag hollow nanoparticles from 35 nm to 20 nm.The plasmon-enhanced photocatalytic H2 evolution of alloy nanoparticles with different cavity sizes was investigated.Compared with pure P25(TiO2),intact and thin-shelled Au-Ag hollow nanoparticles(HNPs)-supported photocatalyst exhibited an increase in the photocatalytic H2 evolution rate from 0.48μmol h^−1 to 4μmol h^−1 under full-spectrum irradiation.This improved photocatalytic performance was likely due to the plasmon-induced electromagnetic field effect,which caused strong photogenerated charge separation,rather than the generation of hot electrons. | Xuanyu Yue Juan Hou Haifeng Zhao Pengcheng Wu Yali Guo Qin Shi Long Chen Shanglong Peng Zhiyong Liu Guozhong Cao | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,10: | 4 |
| 4 | Activation of various brain areas during acupuncture at Taixi (KI 3) and Qiuxu (GB 40) acupoints显示文摘A number of previous studies of acupuncture acupoint specificity have used sham acupoints,sham acupuncture or meridian acupoints at a great distance from each other as controls in functional MRI (fMRI) experiments.However,few studies have compared different meridian acupoints within the same segment,which are associated with similarly intense needle sensations.We performed fMRI on 12 healthy young volunteers and observed differences in brain activation elicited by acupuncture of the Taixi (KI 3) and Qiuxu (GB 40) acupoints.Acupuncture was applied at the Taixi and Qiuxu acupoints,using a multiple-block fMRI design with three blocks,involving three alternations of resting and task phases.After scanning,needle sensation was assessed.The behavioral results revealed that the subjective needle sensation was similar between the Taixi and Qiuxu acupoints.The fMRI results revealed that acupuncture at the right Taixi acupoint activated the right superior temporal gyrus (BA 22),left middle frontal gyrus (BA 46) and inferior frontal gyrus (BA 45),bilateral parietal lobe postcentral gyrus (BA 2),right parietal lobe (BA 3),and left parietal lobe (BA 40).Acupuncture at the right Qiuxu acupoint activated the left superior temporal gyrus (BA 42),right parietal lobe postcentral gyrus (BA 40,BA 43),right inferior frontal gyrus (BA 47),bilateral superior temporal gyrus (BA 22),and right insula BA13.These results suggest that the right Taixi and Qiuxu acupoints activated different brain areas. | Shangjie Chen Huajun Cheng Shanshan Wu Jun Chen Pengcheng Ran Xuemin Shi | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,12: | 4 |
| 5 | Integration of homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation growth via 3D alloy framework for stable Na/K metal anode显示文摘Sodium/Potassium(Na/K)metal anodes have been considered as the promising anodes for next-generation Na/K secondary batteries owing to their ultrahigh specific capacity,low redox potential and low cost.However,their practical application is still hampered due to unstable solid electrolyte interphase,infinite volume change,and dendrite growth.Herein,we design a 3D-Na_(3)Bi/3D-K_(3)Bi alloy host which enables the homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation growth of Na/K metal.The unique structure with periodic alternating of electron and ion conductivity improves the mass transfer kinetics and prevents the volume expansion during cycling.Meanwhile,the sodiophilicity of Na_(3)Bi/potassiophilicity of K_(3)Bi framework can avoid dendritic growth.Cycling lifespans over 700 h with 1 mAh cm^(−2)for 3D-Na_(3)Bi@Na electrode and about 450 h with 1 mAh cm^(−2)for 3D-K_(3)Bi@K electrode are achieved,respectively.3D-Na_(3)Bi@Na||Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))3 full battery shows sustainable cycle performance over 400 cycles.This design provides a simple but effective approach for achieving safety of sodium/potassium metal anodes. | Shufen Ye Lifeng Wang Fanfan Liu Pengcheng Shi Yan Yu | 2021 | eScience2021,1,1: | 3 |

| 8 | Microstructural evolution and hardness of as-cast Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy processed by laser surface remelting显示文摘As-cast beryllium-aluminum(Be-Al)alloy exhibits a coarse microstructure with pore defects due to a large solidification interval,greatly limiting its mechanical properties.In this research,the relationship between laser surface remelting process and microstructure and hardness of as-cast Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy was established.The experimental results demonstrated that a pore-free refined microstructure of remelted layer was obtained by controlling the parameter of effective laser energy input.The microstructure of as-cast Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy consisted of equiaxed grains with Al phase forming a continuous frame wrapping Be phase,which was significantly refined in the remelted zone(from 25μm to 2μm).The Vickers hardness in the remelted zone(approximately 210 HV)was approximately 3 times that of as-cast Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy.Analysis of the Vickers hardness and the Be phase size showed a good agreement with a Hall-Petch equation.In addition,transmission electron microscopy(TEM),auger electron spectroscopy(AES)and X-ray diffraction(XRD)analysis evidenced that Sc and Zr elements formed a single blocky phase Be13(Scx,Zr1-x),which was also greatly refined from 8μm to 1.5μm in the remelted zone.The results obtained in this study indicate that the laser surface remelting allowed refining the microstructure and further strengthening the Vickers hardness of Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy. | Qingdong XU Yu LUO Xiangdong LIU Lei YANG Shixiong HE Xin WANG Wenyuan WANG Tao SHI Ruiwen LI Pengcheng ZHANG | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,8: | 2 |
