| 1 | Low-threshold topological nanolasers based on the second-order corner state显示文摘Topological lasers are immune to imperfections and disorder.They have been recently demonstrated based on many kinds of robust edge states,which are mostly at the microscale.The realization of 2D on-chip topological nanolasers with a small footprint,a low threshold and high energy efficiency has yet to be explored.Here,we report the first experimental demonstration of a topological nanolaser with high performance in a 2D photonic crystal slab.A topological nanocavity is formed utilizing the Wannier-type 0D corner state.Lasing behaviour with a low threshold of approximately 1μW and a high spontaneous emission coupling factor of 0.25 is observed with quantum dots as the active material.Such performance is much better than that of topological edge lasers and comparable to that of conventional photonic crystal nanolasers.Our experimental demonstration of a low-threshold topological nanolaser will be of great significance to the development of topological nanophotonic circuitry for the manipulation of photons in classical and quantum regimes. | Weixuan Zhang Xin Xie Huiming Hao Jianchen Dang Shan Xiao Shushu Shi Haiqiao Ni Zhichuan Niu Can Wang Kuijuan Jin Xiangdong Zhang Xiulai Xu | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020，9，1： | 10 |

| 3 | Toxoplasma gondii GRA15II effector-induced M1 cells ameliorate liver fibrosis in mice infected with Schistosomiasis japonica显示文摘Recent studies indicated that type II Toxoplasma gondii(Tg)GRA15II favored the generation of classically activated macrophages(M1),whereas type I/III TgROP16I/III promoted the polarization of alternatively activated macrophages(M2).A number of studies have demonstrated that M2 cells are involved in the pathogenesis of the liver fibrogenesis caused by Schistosoma japonicum.The purpose of the present study was to explore the inhibitory effect of Toxoplasma-derived TgGRA15II on mouse hepatic fibrosis with schistosomiasis.The gra15II and rop16I/III genes were amplified from strains T.gondii PRU and Chinese 1 Wh3,respectively.Lentiviral vectors containing the gra15II or rop16I/III plasmid were constructed and used to infect the RAW264.7 cell line.The polarization of the transfected cells was evaluated,followed by co-culture of the biased macrophages with mouse hepatic stellate JS1 cells.Then,mice were injected with GRA15II-driven macrophages via the tail vein and infected with S.japonicum cercariae.TgGRA15II induced a M1-biased response,whereas TgROP16I/III drove the macrophages to a M2-like phenotype.The in vitro experiments indicated that JS1 cell proliferation and collagen synthesis were decreased following co-culture with TgGRA15II-activated macrophages.Furthermore,mice inoculated with TgGRA15II-biased macrophages displayed a notable alleviation of collagen deposition and granuloma formation in their liver tissues.Our results suggest that TgGRA15II-induced M1 cells may dampen the M2 dominant pathogenesis of hepatic fibrosis and granulomatosis.These results provide insights into the use of parasite-derived immunomodulators as potential anti-fibrosis agents and to re-balance the schistosomiasis-induced immune response. | Yuanyuan Xie Huiqin Wen Ke Yan Shushu Wang Xuesong Wang Jian Chen Yuanling Li Yuanhong Xu Zhengrong Zhong Jilong Shen Deyong Chu | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018，15，2： | 4 |

| 15 | Effects of C-reactive protein on the expression of OX40 ligand in mouse aorta endothelial cells显示文摘Objective: To investigate the expression of OX40 ligand(OX40L) on C-reactive protein(CRP)-triggered mouse aorta endothelial cells (MAECs) in vitro. Methods: MAECs from aorta were isolated by digestion with collagenase type Ⅱ. The cell growth was confirmed by morphological characteristics and the immunological marker, factor Ⅷ(or Willebrand factor, vWF). The expression of OX40L by MAECs was detected by RT-PCR and western blot after incubating with 100 μg/ml CRP for 48 hours. Results: Twenty-day cultures of MAECs formed confluent monolayer of a cobblestone pattern. RT-PCR and western blot assay showed that the level of OX40L expression in MAECs receiving CRP treatment was higher than control. Conclusion: A reliable method is described to isolate and propagate MAECs.
